Best Spin Class Ever

5 dollars to whoever can guess what in the world this is a picture of:

Photo 1

Okay, I don’t have 5 dollars so I will just tell you instead.  This is a picture of me and my sister in a spin class.

12 reasons why this was the best spin class ever:

1.  My sister was right next to me sweating and cracking jokes with me.

2.  This was the first spin class that I have TAKEN (not taught) in over a year.

3.  The spin instructor had a baby one day after me and she kept talking about her little boy and since I am obsessed with all things babies it was really fun to hear about him.

4.  Awesome music, including my favorite song by Maroon 5.

5.  My legs felt like jello more than they ever have before when I got off the bike.  We also did weights at the end of class while on the bike and my arms are still burning now.

6.  Fine, I will just do 6 reasons but the last reason is that she gave us goodie bags on our way out the door (filled with nuts and candy corn… I knew I liked her).

Photo 2

7.  Actually one more reason, I had the largest fan in the world pointed right at me during the class and it felt amazing.

It was great going back to the gym that I used to go to and to see all of my spinning friends that are still going to class religiously.  After class I did a few minutes on the stair climber and came home and showered,  then it was time for lunch with curly.  We split chicken nuggets and I had a pb and j and an apple with more pb.  My niece is almost as obsessed with ketchup as I am.

Photo

Lunch Dessert (the most important meal of the day) was some cookie dough… my mom bought this tub just for me so that she wouldn’t have to deal with me constantly asking if she has any treats for me to eat while I am here for two weeks.   Now I can just go straight to the tub.

Feel free to ask any questions for Brooke in the comments because she sits next to me while I write these posts and helps me out.

I belong to a local gym–Back to Fitness. It’s small, but I really like it.

I also can’t wait for stuffing tomorrow! And turkey of course. And the rolls. Those 3 things and I’m happy :)

Workout today was a 0. That’s because I didn’t work out. I’ve lost my motivation and bed is so much better :)

THANK YOU for loving jello salad!!!!! All the high schoolers I subbed for looked at me like I was crazy when I said that was what I am most excited to eat tomorrow! Seriously it makes me so happy knowing there is another person out there with good taste.

And how exciting about wedding dress shopping!! did your sis share the story already? I want to make sure I didnt miss it! (and beg her to share it if she hasnt already–I love those stories.)

Today I moved up to level 3 in 30 day shred. I am ashamed to say I failed to complete all the jumping moves she has us do. I am giving myself 3 days until I am totally ROCKING those babies.

Yoga with Jillian this morning was an 8. Fingers crossed that the first run back with my team after a month off this evening will be an 11!!! Can’t wait!!
Um. And I would LOVE to have a tub of cookie dough ready and waiting for my arrival!! Goodness — so many things for you to be Thankful for this year! :D

Ah!!! That last picture of Brooke absolutely slays me. I must have a baby immediately.

I belong to an LA Fitness. I think its the best gym in our area, but it is a little overpriced in my opinion, especially since I can’t make it to very many classes these days so I don’t feel like I am getting my money’s worth.

For tomrrow, I guess I like desert best? My in laws don’t always do traditional spreads, so there usually aren’t mashed potatoes which are my favorite part of the meal itself. There’s always good stuff though. I am going to try and not pig out:)

I have had a slightly stressful day, so I am guessing my workout tonight will be a 9 or 10. I am planning on doing intervals on the treadmill which I LOVE, especially as run-therapy!

I’m a member at the Student Rec Center at our local University. We have an indoor track and I can run year round. I am most looking forward to the mashed potatoes and broccoli casserole and all the desserts of course. No workout today – rest day for me today in preparation for a 5K in the morning.

I don’t know what your running plans are tomorrow but I told your sister about our Runner’s anonymous group doing a run at the mouth of the canyon. I will facebook you my cell phone number and you can text me and let me know if you gals decide you want to join us.

Oh and WELCOME back to Utah. Little Brooke is just loving all the attention I ‘m sure. She is just so stinkin cute!!

I don’t belong to a gym, but my work has one in the building and has everything I need. I do miss spin classes though!

I am most excited to eat my dad’s mashed potatoes and my mom’s cheesecake. Picture of health right here!

So glad you had a great time at spinning. I can relate since I feel the same way when I come home for Zumba. Love that your sister went too. Family bonding at its finest :) tomorrow I’m excited for POPOVERS! And dessert… I made a hot fudge pudding cake (I’m non traditional…)

I go to the gym in my apartment building, so no excuses! (technically..)

Ahh I love the tub o’ cookie dough!

My gym is my basement treadmill. :( I would love to go to an actual gym and have classes, but for the mean time it is me and the squeaky treadmill.

I can’t wait for mashed potatoes. I would literally not eat turkey so that I could justify more potatoes. Oh or bread. Man I love bread! :)

Reply

I’m most excited for DESSERT tomorrow! I’m baking pumpkin bread loaves this afternoon for tomorrow’s dinner and it’s so so hard not to eat them today!

Omigosh that last picture of Brooke just melts my heart. How on earth is she so cute?! I don’t have a gym membership right now – I either just use the great outdoors, the gym in my building, or the treadmill in my parents’ basement :D And no exciting food on the menu for tomorrow :( It’s just another day for us Canadians.

Hey you!

I’ve totally been slacking in the spin department and this post motivated me to check my gym’s class schedule for tomorrow morning to take a class before Thanksgiving begins! I wish I lived closer so I could take a class that you teach sometime! Maybe someday!

A gym that hands out snacks? Sign me up!

Hahaha, are those Mickey Mouse chicken nuggets?

And oh my goodness, that made my heart so happy to see that you used the graphic I sent you as your computer desktop! Let me know if you ever need a larger version of it or anything–it’s easy to resize!

Have the best Thanksgiving ever! Poor little Brookester…no turkey for her this year! ;)

SO good to work out to :) I just have to say, Janae, your desktop is CRAZY clean. haha You inspired me to clean mine up a bit! ;) I’m most excited to eat turkey and cranberry sauce, because it is my fave!! And pie, of course. My mom-in-law makes delicious pies. My workout today was AMAZING! Ran around the neighborhood, and it was perfect weather and gorgeous. I’ll be sad when all the leaves are gone from the trees!

I do belong to a gym, it’s pretty cheap but that’s what I need! And it’s nice for being so inexpensive, at least in Chicago. I don’t tell people where though so they don’t stalk me, because obviously I’m stalkable.

Reply

I’m all about the cranberry sauce and stuffing.

Yay! I’m goign to see Justin Moore this saturday night. Soo what to wear Sucks you don’t have your boots! Definitely snemthiog comfy You are gonna be on your feet a lot. Skinny jeans, a floral top, and flat sandals would be cute

We belong to Lifetime Fitness.

I’m not looking forward to any food tomorrow. We will be traveling most of the day and our family meal is Friday since my sister has to work tomorrow. I look forward to mom’s stuffing and pie Friday though – that count!

Today’s workout was a 7 – short, hills, hard and done!

Cute cardigan! Where is it from?!

Thanks!!! It is from target!!

I go to Gold’s, too! Does yours have a cardio cinema room? It’s my fave! My workout today was a 7; I took a body pump class. My knee is hurt, so no running right now :(

Reply

Don’t belong to a gym, I am excited to eat APPLE PIE, and my workout today was…well as far as nausea etc. goes it would be about a 1. But I kinda broke a PR!! So I’d give it a 10 there!

Ok, and this is actually funny…but I think I am reading your blog waay too much. ;) Because (yes this really happened), I had a dream about you and Brooke last night!!! :p Crazy, right?! And Brooke was every bit as cute as she is in the photos, and I had the privilege of saving her from a flood, aaand…I got to meet you which was of course amazing! So there, now you can officially feel stalked, when blog readers have dreams about you! :p

Happy Thanksgiving to you, Billy and sweet Brooke!!! :)

Baha hahahah thank you for saving Brooke!!! How can I repay you;)

anytime!!! I was just glad to hand her over safely to you again ;) LOL!

I joined Lifetime Fitness about 3 months ago and it is a huge step-up from my old gym. I did a killer weight class today. We did about a million squats – not something I’d recommend if you have to stop in sketchy bathrooms on the way to your Thanksgiving destination and have to engage those same muscles to avoid even sketchier toilets. Not that that happened to me.
I’m super excited about my MIL’s chicken and noodles.
P.S. Seeing Brooke and Curly together makes me super happy.

Reply

I’m making roasted cauliflower with a sauce of shallots, dates, and pine nuts browned in butter and since no one ever eats vegetables at Thanksgiving I’m going to eat all the leftovers myself. Mmmm.
I go to an adorable old gym – it’s the oldest athletic club in the country – but it’s mostly just full of old people. So it’s really just for looks. And I haven’t been there in 2 months. Ugh.

I’m excited to finally try pumpkin pie..and see how it measures up to all the raves I keep hearing!

Reply

I wish I lived in your area! I’d totally go to spin with you, I’ve never been!

We’re with Gold’s too, but only because it’s so close. Sometimes I’m mad at them.

And I can’t wait for cobbler. My mother-in-law makes the best blackberry cobbler on earth.

Reply

God yeah take a break! The pace you’re uploading these abulms, well dunno bout you but its wearing me out trying to catch ’em all. Damn I should be studying/working/childminding (which is why I rarely show any appreciation for the freaky wonderfulness, asides from havin little to say). Gaah!Oh yeh…thanks ya beautiful mutie!

I have free wi fi for like an hour today while chillin on the beach…so amazing
And so is that pic of brooke! She is so stinkin cute. I hope you are having so much fun with your family. I will eat an extra molten.chocolate cake for you tonight if you eat some extra stuffing for me. Deal?

Reply

I belong to 24 Hour Fitness……Gold’s seems like it may be too intimidating..?

I’m sooo excited to eat homemade cinnamon ice cream, green beans almondine, and stuffing!! :)

Question for Brooke – if you could pinch anyone in your family’s cheeks, who would you choose and why?

Reply

My moms;)

Reply

I belong to the road. Aka I don’t have a gym membership but get my sweat on while I run. Spin seems really awesome though. I’ve always heard good things about it.

Reply

Awesome that you could workout with your sis and finally take a class for yourself rather than teach. I LOVE Brooke’s yellow and grey threads…so cute…especially her face!

i love your sweater!!! :)
