What better way to celebrate the day before thanksgiving than a bowl full toppings with a little froyo underneath. Please note a few chocolate covered gummy bears, next time I will get an entire bowl of those and just put some caramel on the top and call it good.
The froyo was needed to refill our glycogen levels in between all of my errands that my mom and I did. Best errand of all… Picking up 12 pies from a bakery. Going on errands yesterday reminded me so much of the good ol’ days when I was the only kiddo still living at home and went on every errand that my mom had to do. Definitely the favorite child.
We also swung by my grandma’s house and then I went straight to look at wedding dresses with my sister. Definitely not a successful shopping trip. Curly loves pushing Brooke’s stroller everywhere which is very helpful for me because it is tiring pushing 11 lbs around all day.
I had two options of things to do last night. 1- go to a basketball game with some family or 2- go to mimi’s cafe with some other family members and try every different type of bread that the bread basket had to offer.
I always try to convince Billy to get two meals with me and split them so that I can try two things instead of the boring one thing but he never wants to. I asked my mom to and she was actually excited to do it. We went for the chicken sandwich and french toast and they even split the entrees for us. Sadly the french toast were not very good and that is coming from the girl that usually loves each and every meal that is ever placed before her.
Brooke is quite the little fashionista. She wants to try and wear as many different outfits as possible in one day and this one was number 4 due to some major blowouts throughout the day.
The night ended with some quality brother time while watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
I know you are all dying to know… Billy made it safe and sound down to his parents’ house for the holiday (shortened version- he is going there instead of here because of his best friend’s wedding). Charlie is thrilled to have his 2nd best friend there (I am the first in case you were wondering).

Can I be sneaky and say caramel WITH choc chips? Have a great Thanksgiving, Janae!

Too bad about the french toast! Being Canadian, my Thanksgiving already passed but I’m still celebrating American Thanksgiving with some friends here in Europe – I won’t be seeing my family until Christmas! I love apple pie and pumpkin pie (will be having it on Friday :D) and although I can say always hot fudge, the pancakes or french toast question is a toss-up! Have a GREAT Thanksgiving!!
Lauren
Pecan pie is definitely my favorite. For as much as I adore pumpkin, I’m not the biggest fan of the pie form. Wishing you and your family a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving! :) <3 xoxo
Allison
I don’t like pie! I am totally a cake person.
Happy thanksgiving girl……thanks for your positivity and light that you share everyday.
Sarah @pickyrunner
LOVE your thanksgiving eve! It sounds like a wonderful day :) especially the Froyo and the bread basket! Chocolate covered gummy beats?! Never tried them but they sound fantastic! Happy thanksgiving, girl <3

Have a very Happy Thanksgiving Janae!
Brooke looks a little concerned in that picture…maybe a little embarrassed by the blowouts? ;-)
12 pies?! chocolate covered gummy bears?! I am missing some great stuff by not living in Utah!
Julie @ Sweetly Balanced
Aww Curly is so cute with Brooke!! They need to live near each other!! I’m sad that Billy won’t share dinners with you, that’s one of me and my fiance’s favorite things to do!! We always pick out two dinners that we both like so that we can try both!

Happy Thanksgiving! :) I’m not a pie girl.. I go for other desserts :)

Love all kinds of pies, but if it’s Thanksgiving I have to go with pumpkin! Mimi Cafe’s bread is the best. Unfortunately, the service stinks at our Mimi’s…..and I’ve given them many chances. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!!
Erica
Happy Thanksgiving!
You help me to stop and appreciate the family moments a little more. I actually allowed our Thanksgiving to start last night and bleed into Friday. So far, so good.
Lindsey
Happy Thanksgiving Janae!
Pumpkin… its the only pie I eat :)
Pancakes, but French Toast is very close, they are my two fav!
Hot fudge for sure.

I LOVE pie!!! Pumpkin and pecan are my thanksgiving favourites!
Pancakes or french toast is too hard. I’m a huge breakfast person and it just depends on my mood that day. Today I would choose french toast!
Annnnd- fudge! Delicous.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

I will be traveling to Lake Tahoe tomorrow (spending Thanksgiving at home).
Yay! How exciting to be going wedding dress shopping :D
natalie@ southern fit foodie
Usually hot fudge AND caramel, but if I had to choose one I think it would be hot fudge…or caramel. :)
Both of our families are nearby, so no traveling for us this holiday!
Pecan pie is my specialty for Thanksgiving and Christmas – I actually just took it out of the oven! It may be hard to not cut into it until lunch!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!!!!!!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Hope you’re having an awesome Thanksgiving, Janae! I don’t usually have to do any travelling around the holidays, which I’m extremely thankful for because planes and traffic don’t sit well with me. I do love pancakes, though… and caramel… and apple pie :D
Cathryn
I’m an apple pie girl. I find the slimy texture of pumpkin pie a bit weird, to tell you the truth.
Happy Thanksgiving!!
Deana (RockOrangeFive)
I honestly can not choose between caramel or hot fudge! Love both!
On the other hand I really like French Toast!!!
Have a great Thanksgiving!
Stephanie
Happy Thanksgiving Janae! Enjoy this time with your family – I know you are having a blast!
Jean
Both french toast and pancakes! I can never decide between the two and once I order one, I always wish I hard ordered the other. Hard to please.
Katie
OMG 12 pies?!?!! That is a LOT of pie. I would be in absolute heaven!!!! My faves are apple and pumpkin, but the pumpkin must have about a 1:1 ratio of whipped cream on it. There must be the perfect amount of whipped cream in each bite of pie. You understand.
Happy Thanksgiving Janae!!!!

French toast! And hot fudge — all the way. Happy T-day!

Happy Thanksgiving Janae!!
What are flavours are the 12 pies?
Pancakes over French Toast for me today!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your whole family!
Kay
Oh that’s too bad about the French toast! All the more reason why it was best you split two entrees though!
Leanne
I some how stumbled upon your blog…and just want to say I LOVE it!! Congrats on your new bundle of joy! I look forward to stopping in more often!
Janae
Thank you so much!!! You are the best!
Katie @ Peace Love & Oats
Why do you need 12 pies?!?!? I flew home to KC for Thanksgiving! Right now I’m waiting for the cinnamon rolls I’m making to bake in the oven, and soon we’ll head over to my cousins’!
Jessica@SweatIsMySanity
Happy Thanksgiving Janae. Looks like you’re having a fab time in Utah with all your family. Curly clearly loves Brooke! I love pumpkin, apple and banana and chocolate pie. Sorry, couldn’t pick and this year for the first time I made banana and chocolate…can’t wait to try them. Definitely french toast. I’m having a linky party today…sharing our Thanksgiving Day workouts….it’s called a Virtual Turkey Trot 5K. Please link up or spread the word. Enjoy your weekend. xo, Jess

We usually travel for the holidays but this year I am working Thanksgiving so we did our own little Thanksgiving dinner before I had to come to work.
I love pumpkin pie for Thamksgiving. We had apple pie with vanilla ice cream today and it was wonderful too.
French toast all the way unless I am at IHOP then it is a toss up!
Can I say both caramel and hot fudge… with pecan pieces to make it a turtle sundae!! Otherwise if I have to choose between the two it qould be hot fudge
Heather @operationdetermination
*would be hot fudge.
I hope you have a great Thanksgiving! Enjoy your time with your family!
Heather @operationdetermination
Wow, using the Nook to comment doesn’t work well. *would be hot fudge. I hooe you have a great Thanksgiving and enjoy your time with your family!
Missy
I’m glad to hear you are having so much fun with your family!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Katie
We traveled today for an extended family Thanksgiving, and we’re having another one on Saturday. Needless to say I’ll be well-fed for awhile. And I’m all about the hot fudge and pancakes–preferably together.
cecilia
You had me at chocolate gummy bears. I had no idea such things existed.
Nicole V.
No travelling this holiday…..just traveled between the table and the kitchen!
I’d like to have an ice cream pie for Thanksgiving…..I’m not a huge fan of pumpkin – I’d much rather bury my face in ice cream.
Ohhh….I think I’ll choose French Toast!
Hot Fudge. :) Thick & goopy!
