I don’t know if I have mentioned it before or if you have any idea about this but I thought I would tell you anyway, I really love being a mom especially when I get to do cool things like match my 3 month old. Hopefully she doesn’t have size 20 feet like me when she grows up.
I had the best surprise in the whole world waiting for me when I got to the park to meet up with some friends and their kiddos… a girl brought us all OREO SHAKES. It was just sitting there on the bench waiting for me to ingest it in a beautiful park with friends and 72 degree weather.
After hanging out at the park for a little while Brooke and I went home and the rest of the afternoon was a blur until Billy got home and we went over to our friend’s house (the cutest girl in the picture above) for dinner. Okay, that chicken/mushroom/artichoke on brown rice was incredible.
Afterwards we had an intense game of Ticket to Ride and I lost by at least 70 points. I NEVER EVER lose when I play Monopoly, Connect 4 or Pictionary but I do occasionally lose when I play other games. It also wasn’t very fair because Billy had Brooke on his team.
Brooke learned how to sit up at just 3 months old. She will do anything for dessert.
I was in charge of dessert and so I spent hours contemplating and brainstorming the perfect dish to bring. Say hello to a layer of brownies, topped with a layer of pudding, followed by a layer of whipped cream and topped with Oreos. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better you repeat the whole process again.

My favorite card game growing up was Mille Bourne, It was so much fun! Havne’t played it for years, but would love to especially over Thanksgiving because my family is super competitive, so that makes the games intense and fun. :)
I’m a plain old chocolate milkshake girl. All those fancy flavors end up disappointing me because I really just wanted chocolate anyway.
I had chicken last night. I made baked chicken wings in what I thought would be a spicy hot wing sauce, turns out it was a little bit sweeter than I hoped for (you make it with coke and frank’s hot sauce and some other stuff) I know now to use less coke and more hot sauce. But it wasn’t bad at all for my very first attempt at wings.

My favourite card game is cribbage. I play with my Dad, and we’re so evenly matched it’s ridiculous. We’re probably pretty close to 50/50 all-time. I love that he never let me win, not even when I was little.

I have one pair of Tom’s that I have only worn a couple times. I bought the sparkly silver ones and apparently they are not as comfy as the canvas ones because they don’t stretch as much. It is a bummer that I spent $50 on something I never wear.

Favorite card game= Nerts. Hands down!! We used to bring decks of cards to study groups and have a “nerts” break every so often. As many players as you want and it is about speed and hand-eye coord. Love it.

I love my toms. I have two pairs, a claret (red) pair that I wear to all the REAL Salt Lake home games and a Navy blue pair that have !Geometry! all over them. {Math is my most fav thing in all the world so I had to buy them}. But I won’t buy Toms for my kids. No way I’m spending $40 on shoes they will outgrow in 4 months. I did tell my daughter (11) that I would pay for half of them if she came up with the other half. She didn’t think that was a very good deal.
We love to play game too and play ticket to ride Europe all the time, it has all the names in a different language so it’s a challenge for me. My kids beat me all the time. But I never win anything because I’ve never liked confrontation and would rather see someone else win anyway.
