Once upon a time I had the coolest job in the whole wide world. I used to be a personal assistant for the beautiful couple below.
I lived on the same street as them for 10 years and they truly are the best people in the world. They are the kind of people that you always want to be around because they are so hilarious and positive. It really was the best job because I got to hang out with them all day and go on crazy adventures.
I have been counting down the minutes until they came into town and for them to finally meet Brooke. The verdict: They loved her and Brooke loved them. I showed them around our apartment complex and then we took a million pictures of Brooke while we waited for Billy to finish up with school.
They gave us our choice of restaurants in the city to take us to and we chose LB’s Steak because well, we really love steak.
I started off with a salad and that white bread (the inside was so warm and soft) with butter and some of the tomato and mozzarella salad.
This is the first steak I have ever eaten that I didn’t want to add ketchup or bbq sauce to (I am obsessed with condiments) because it was perfect just on its own. I had the New York steak and you can’t really see it but the roasted garlic and onion that it came with was really so good. I eat a lot of garlic.
The sides come family style and so we tried the sautéed spinach and mushrooms and the loaded potato gratin. I could live off of that gratin dish for the rest of my life and it will be hard to eat potatoes now unless they are covered in cheese, bacon and sour cream.
5 mile run… here I come!

I don’t live in an apartment complex when I did i loved the amenities.
My best job I ever had was my last job that I left to move across the country. I got to work with the public a lot and with children. Lots of fun!

My best job ever was working at a dog kennel. It’s really hard to have a bad day when 60 dogs are sooo happy to see you and getting doggy kisses all day.

I love a good steak place. We went out to a fancy, over priced steak place last weekend for date night. It was the best steak ever. Last night, however, we went to Chipotle.

I really don’t like steak. People think that I”m crazy but I’d rather have chicken any day of the week.
I live in an apartment complex. It’s not too bad. I love having maintenance people. Last night my daughter and neice thought it’d be funny to lock BOTH doors to my room. I ended up having to take the door handles off and can’t get them back on. Just have to call my maintenance men today!:-)

We lived in a condo for a few years when we were first married but now loving our new house (more cleaning though, eh what can ya do)

I live in a big apartment building right now (it’s 12 stories and there’s hundreds of people here) and I’m kind of ready to move out. The inside of my unit is nice, but I’m ready for my own space. And I have to say I don’t really know any of my neighbors… I guess I’m a true city person. I can see the appeal though of having a nice community where you live!

Hope your run goes well! I live in an apartment but there are only 3 units so I wouldn’t call it a complex. It’s a very old building and I mostly love it because of its charm. We definitely aren’t big, new apartment complex people.

Gush. What a sweet looking couple. You’re so blessed in your friends :) I’ve actually never eaten a steak, I don’t think. I’ve tried a few bites but it just didn’t appeal to me… Apartment living, on the other hand, definitely appeals to me :lol: I love my building and the location, and it’s super great because I live by myself so the extra security is really nice. Oh, and it’s a bonus that I don’t have to shovel snow or mow the lawn ;)

Funny you should ask, I just had steak last night…but I’m the person steakhouses hate because I want it cooked well done. I’m all about the side dishes, I could eat that whole plate of mushrooms by myself and call it a day!
My best job ever was working in the marketing department of a company that did business with a lot of professional photographers, so I got to interact with so many people who were famous in their fields and were having some pretty amazing adventures. Of course, being a mom is pretty fun too, if a bit less glamorous. ;)

Medium rare for me too! It’s the ONLY way to eat a steak! We like some restaurant steaks, but Daniel makes the best steak at home. We buy local beef that is fresh, and then D puts his homemade dry rub seasoning on them and smokes them. Seriously – best steak ever.
My favorite job is house-sitting (does that count???). I do love my teaching and coaching job, but I think the best job ever would be luxury resort and gourmet restaurant critic. Maybe one day.

If you enjoyed that steakhouse, there’s a great one in Cupertino called Alexander’s Steakhouse that you might like as well. It’s our “special occasion” place because it’s a bit pricey, but worth every cent!
Apartment complex dweller here! I love having a pool, gym with decent equipment, and the fact that our apartment has big events for each holiday. For Halloween, they had a free BBQ dinner with a costume contest.

I’m not a steak person but my hubby is and since we can’t have a grill [apartment complex code of conduct, lameee] he uses the griddle grill we got as a wedding gift… Surprisingly, he thinks it does a great job and keeps it nice and juicy :P

I stay in an apartment when I work in Rock Springs. They have a crew and off duty apartment for us. It’s pretty nice. The workout room could have a little better quality stuff, but overall it’s pretty great.
I’m running a 10 today and so excited! Mostly because I can run at my favorite 1-2pm start time and it’s cool and sunny!

I LOVE steak! Its my fav! And I like Medium-Rare (and if they cook it wrong, I’d rather it be on the rarer side than the medium side!)
We went to Sweet Tomatoes for dinner.
And we live in a condo but is just like an apartment. And its fine except for when it rains and sometimes leaks from the floor up (and we live on the third floor!)
