It was a good morning…

RnR San Jose was perfect!  I had the two best cheerleaders in the whole world, the temperature outside was awesome, the course was flat and I got to explore my new city.

My Garmin time was 1:31:45 but I still can’t find the results online yet… I struggle.

***edited to add… I found the results online finally:

Thats crazy fast. I ran my first full marathon this morning in Long Beach (about 5:37). I would live to be able to run as fast as you. And post baby no less. But seeing as how 19 months ago I didnt run at all and weighed 60 pounds more, I’ll take my time. Congrats and welcome to San Jose. I live about 10 miles north in Fremont!!

I can’t believe how fast you are Janae! Congratulation! When I run my first half next weekend, I will think of you running your legs off two months after having a baby when I get tired and want to stop. Way to go!

Reply

Holy Cannoli Girlfriend! You are amazing! I mean… serious inspiration :D I ran 14 miles this morning at an 8:46 pace. Okay but not what I was hoping for. I was supposed to run the B.A.A Half in Boston this morning and thought the race was at 10 but it started at 8:30!!! :( I was so bummed. I was supposed to run it last year too but I had a stress fracture. I guess I am just no destined to run the B.A.A half!? haha but I had an awesome 14 miles along the Boston Marathon route :D

BTW have you ever had a Cannoli? They are amazing and Boston has the best!

Reply

Congratulations Janae!!! That is an amazing time!! I’ve ran 4 half marathons and am just trying to beat 2 hours! I finally beat the 10 minute mile pace (running my last at a 9:49 pace). I guess it’s baby steps. :-P

Janae- You rocked it. You are awesome. I am inspired. My boys want to hang out with your little one. Hope you got lots of cuddle time and cereal. :) (Why is this comment just short sentences? I have no idea. It’s late.)

Reply

Janae – my two worlds collided when I realized my friends in the Air Force rock band Mobility played for your marathon today – congrats on a fantastic run!

Reply

Amazing!! Well done!! Now please share with us the secret of running that fast!! Do you just run that fast and ignore the pain? Do you like the pain? Do your legs just naturally go fast? Is it just a result of a consistent running career? Does it take years to get up to speeds like this? xx

Reply
