Pesto, crispy M&M’s, angel baby and my teeth are going to fall out.

I am glad you are all as passionate as I am about the importance of getting the exact right Halloween candy so thank you for your help in my last post.  I will be making my selection today at the store.  The next thing that is stressing me out (I know, such a stressful life I lead) is what in the world the three of us are going to dress up as.  Since it is Brooke’s first Halloween we have to start things off with a bang and train her to know that Halloween is kind of a big deal to me.

Have you ever eaten at Costco?  If you answered no, change that today.  If yes, have you ever tried their turkey sandwich?  It is in my top 10 favorite sandwiches of all time and I decided to recreate it at home so that I didn’t have to wake Brooke up and go spend $5 on something we already had all of the ingredients for.  We used sourdough bread, turkey, mozzarella cheese, tomatoes and PESTO (the key ingredient) and cooked it on the George Foreman.

We were on a pesto kick (pesto from Costco) and had it with penne noodles, shrimp and garlic bread.   It may look like I didn’t eat any vegetables but I am convinced that pesto sauce is filled with veggies because it is green so therefore it is healthy.

The only chocolate in the house:

It needed to be made into cookies.  We all know the real reason that we make cookies, the dough.  Poor Brooke was opening her mouth so big for just a little taste.

I have yet to ever make anything without getting food all over myself.  At dinner on Saturday my dad said, “I don’t know how you did this but you have a glob of cheese in your bangs.”  I need a full body bib.

I just put in my retainer that I haven’t worn for hmm……  a REALLY long time and I feel like my teeth are going to fall out.  How’s that for a random ending?

————————————————————————–

Did you have braces? A retainer?  Do you still wear your retainer?

What should we make with the rest of our pesto sauce?

What do you think Brooke should be for Halloween?  I need your ideas!!

Do you like the cookie dough better or the finished product better?

-I am all about the cookie dough.

It’s ALL about the dough! But the end product usually turns out okay as well :D I put pesto on chicken to add some flavour. It’s really easy and you can combine the meat with some veggies, like tomato or broccoli, to create a pretty balanced dish! I had the works in terms of dental aids as a pre-teen. I never wore my retainer so my dentist actually put a permanent one in – at least that’s one less thing to worry about haha. And I think Brooke would look adorable as a lion – she’s already rocking spiky hair, you could SO play that up as the mane!

Wow, such great questions!
1. Haha, oh my gosh I have NO idea where my retainer is but I’m sure my mom kept it somewhere. I wouldn’t want to be the one who found that thing though.
2. You should definitely make some kind of pesto baked fish or chicken.
3. I have ALWAYS thought baby pumpkins are the cutest thing on this planet. I know it’s effortless, but it always works!
4. Ummm, the batter!? Of course! :)

Reply

how long are you supposed to wear a retainer? I had my last one for 10 years, no joke. That seems kind of gross. Luckily I lost it and had to get a new one made.

Reply

I am all about the cookie dough — though usually I’ll make a batch of cookie-dough like yumminess because I’m pretty afraid of food poisoning …
I can’t believe how long it’s been since I’ve had pesto — at least 5 years. Gonna need to get on that!! :)

^^ I second the lion idea for Brooke’s costume. Orrrr how about a porcupine? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000J4FIF4?ie=UTF8&tag=orgyouhomando-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B000J4FIF4 :D

As tempted as I am to always try the cookie dough, I think it’s the fear of getting food poisoning from eggs that keeps me from eating it, so I’m gonna have to go with the finished product. BUT… if there’s no eggs in the dough, then I could probably eat half of it before it made it to the cookie sheet.

Happy Monday!

Reply

OH MY GOODNESS!! That porcupine costume is the cutest thing ever! Thanks for the link!

Reply

Oh wow, I vote for the porcupine too!!

Reply

I had both lol i stoppped wearing the retainer a long time ago, i alwasy spit it out in the night anyways…
you should make lasagna with the rest of your pesto sauce!!
brooke should be a….panda bear!!
i like the cookie dough for a while but once the actual cookies are cool im practically in love with them :)

Reply

I just love seeing the pictures of her! So sweet.

I think you need to do a gangam style family–Billy could be Psy, you and Brooke could be the dancer girls! ; )

Reply

For my little cousin’s first Halloween, my aunt dressed her up as a pea pod … she wanted it to be a play on the nickname “sweetpea” and it was too cute! :)

Reply

Cookie dough! SO awesome!

I LOVE pesto. I have been craving a pesto sandwich just like that for about a month now. Stupid wheat allergies. I just can’t find a bread good enough to do that sandwich justice…..I do have a pesto pasta salad (brown rice noodles) on my salad for lunch today.

Reply

I’ve been eyeing that turkey pesto sandwich at Costco ever since it came out… Now I know I have to try it! I am also notorious for getting food all over myself when I eat and cook… ;)

Reply

I think anything you dress Brooke up for will be completely adorable! I’m thinking about dressing up our 10 month Audrey as Audrey Hepburn. I think all baby girl costumes must require some sort of tutu or ridiculously large hair bow. So fun!

Reply

Cookie Dough! and your cookies look awesome, recipe? Through your inspiration I registered for my first race (either 10 mile or half, I can upgrade at anytime, but am currently registered for the 10 mile) and ran my first 8 miler for training yesterday (and it was surprisingly easier than I would have thought)! The race isn’t until the end of Oct (Monster Dash), so I might be ready for the half, your thoughts?!

Hello, I believe your webiste could be possessing browser compatibility troubles. When I seem at your web site in Safari, it appears good but when opening in World wide web Explorer, it’s got some overlapping. I just wished to provide you with a speedy heads up! Other then that, great webiste!

It is truly all about the dough but cookies are delicious too!

I stopped wearing my retainer a looooooong time ago. I’ve tried wearing it here or there since then and it doesn’t really happen.

I was reading Parents magazine the other day (it was the only magazine that interested me where I was even though I have no kids) and they had costume ideas and one of them was a Marathoner! It was ridiculously cute. They also had a chick, pixie, girly ghost, sock monkey, wild cat, and an astronaut. (Those were the more baby ones although some of the children were already standing)

Reply

You could dress Brooke up as Sweet Pea from Popeye, with you and Billy being Olive Oil and Popeye. She’d look adorable! It’s a toss up between the cookie dough and finished product. The dough is awesome, but a warm cookie can’t be beat!

Reply

I 2nd the Sweet Pea, Popeye & Olive Oyl idea!

Reply

That would be adorable!

Reply

I think Brooke should be a cutie owl for Halloween!

Reply

Great idea!

Reply

Fresh out of the oven cookies are better than the cookie dough. So warm and gooey!

Love the photo of Brooke wanting the dough! LOL!

Reply

HAHAHAHAHA! The picture of Brooke with the cookie dough..priceless! You’ll have to show her that when she gets older. Hopefully her love for cookies will continue to be strong ;)
I love your little family. You three are the cutest!
Full body bib….I need one too. I bet you could make millions if you decided to create one ;) I would totally support your bib business!
Love ya!

Reply

No braces or retainer ever, I am lucky there!
I love using leftover pesto in grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato and avocado.
You guys could be the Incredibles!
Finished product but I think I am weird that way, I am not a huge cookie dough fan but LOVE cookies!

Reply

I got my retainer in 8th grade and never wore it… I have a permanent one on the bottom but my top teeth have separated back out a bit. They haven’t changed much in the past few years so I’m just going to ignore it…

Reply

Brooke is so cute! Love the pic with her mouth wide open for the cookie dough.

I just got my braces off in March so I’m very diligent about the retainer wearing. I’m sure that will taper off but for now I’m all about keeping those teeth straight!

Reply

I put my retainer in like, twice a week and want to cry because it hurts to bad…why don’t I ever learn?! I also hate it so much that I take it out in my sleep and hide it under my pillow so it doesn’t break. weird? yes.

Reply

Put globs of pesto on a pizza!

Pesto + cheese + tomato sauce = FLAVOR EXPLOSION HAPPINESS!

Reply

Brooke should be an elite runner! You can dress her up in running clothes and put a number on her, that would be adorable. I still wear my retainer, every night! I also have a permanent one on the top. Super cute, ha ha. Cookie dough is ALWAYS better!

Reply

Braces and a retainer…I try not to remember those years. :)

Mix it up with some Israeli couscous and sun dried tomatoes and parm cheese

She needs to be a cupcake or a baby lobster or some kind of food of course :)

The dough…hands down…I’m lucky if I ever get any cookies made.

Reply

The batter for sure! I love cookie dough and I think it is the reason to make cookies.

We put pesto in omelets sometimes if it is left over…yum!

As a wife of someone who put her husband through law school it gets better! The first year (and first semester) are the most difficult. Things will calm down after Billy gets used to the reading and makes it through his first round of exams in December. At exam time though, life is really crazy! Andrew loved it when I made him cookies to take with him during his tests, his law school buddies liked it too:)

Reply

I totally bake cookies for the dough too.
Sooooo good.

Reply

we just bought that pesto from Costco yesterday too! i gotta say, i was disappointed with our trip and the lack of samples throughout the store. it almost ruined my day.

have you ever made a pesto pizza? get some whole wheat dough and spread the pesto on it – so good!

Reply

Pesto pizza!!!

I am so going to stop at the store and pick up crispy M&Ms to make cookies.

We don’t belong to Costco–but we just started a free 60 day trial membership to BJs Wholesale club. They are not quite as big as Costco, but that is sort of what I like about it. The Costco that is near us ALWAYS has a huge line waiting to get in and out of the parking lot. We started the membership on Saturday and I thought of you because we bought a huge container of grapes!

Reply

Your cookies look amazing!!

Brooke should be something AWESOME for halloween… Either an M&M, Usain Bolt or Yoda… that’s all my ideas :) Hehe I want a baby now so I can make an awesome halloween costume for it!!

Oh my goodness! Cutest thing ever!!!!

Reply

The dough is the only reason I bake anything, for real. Have you tried blue bell’s Dessert Trio ice cream? The ONLY reason I buy it is to pick out the mix ins of brownies, cookie dough, etc. SO GOOD.

You should make a homemade pizza with the pesto as the sauce. Maybe some grilled chicken on top too?

Reply

I was going to say Brooke should be a baby ladybug because that is the cutest baby costume I’ve ever seen in real life, but after reading the owl suggestion, I think that’s more up her alley with those big eyes:) No matter what she will be so cute.
I forget all the other questions, but I love cookie dough. SO MUCH. Apparently you can buy pasteurized egg stuff and then the dough is safe to eat. I’ve never done it, but that is on my bucket list since I heard about it:)

Reply

Make pesto pizza!! Seriously is delicious! Brooke would make an adorable lady bug for Halloween. And it’s all about the cookie dough. Have you ever tried pretzel m&ms?? They seriously are to die for, and pretzel m&m cookies are amazing!! Have an awesome Monday :)

Reply

I love pesto! We put it on everything. We use it for grilled cheese, mac and cheese, tuna melts. It’s so versatile!

I had braces and wore my retainer religiously for years. Then I had the metal bar taken out of my mouth and everything shifted. It’s like I never had them Oh well. Sorry mom and dad!

Reply

I did the whole braces in jr high thing and then never wore a retainer. About 4 years ago, my teeth started to move so as an adult I went back to the orthodontist for a retainer. I know where it almost every night. although I don’t typically travel with it, so when I put it in after a week away, it feels awful!

Love the pretzel M&M cookies. Have you tried the candy corn M&M’s yet???

It just makes me smile so big to read your blog :)

A few years ago I was very loose with contracts. A week berofe the wedding, the bride sent me several nasty emails stating I was overcharging her. I had already agreed (against my better judgement) to use flowers SHE purchased off the internet from a BIG BOX store (you know which one), so basically I was just charging for my time well, I got scared and ended up backing down my fee. My reasoning was she would give me a bunch of referrals. The day of the wedding, as I was handing her the bouquet she bragged to her maid of honor how cheaply she had gotten off on her florals! I was crushed and of course, NO REFERRALS ever came from her. After that day, I drastically changed the way I ran my business!

Reply

I had both braces and a retainer but not sure what happened to the retainer.
Pasta salad with the pesto?
Brooke should be……well, whatever you decide she will be the cutest one.
The finished product. Definitely.
The Kidless Kronicles

Reply

I had braces, but then got my wisdom teeth taken out 4 years later. Those 4 awful teeth moved all the work my braces did and so I have my overbite back, but my teeth are still straight. I hated the retainer.

Brooke should go as a Tootsie Roll!

Reply

Those m&m cookies look scrumptious! I’m torn….the dough is awesome, but I love the cookies too. Ideas for Brooke…. how about a track star, pumpkin, hershey’s kiss, or a princess?

Reply

I just love all of Brooke’s facial expressions! She is so cute and animated!

I still wear my retainers! I had braces twice–once to fix my bite, and the second time to straighten my teeth. My parents were thrilled with those bills. ;)

You should make a pesto pizza!

Reply

mmm that pasta dish looks delish!! Pesto definitely has at least 5 servings of veggies I believe :-) Love the way it tastes on some pizza!

Reply

The other day I tossed some shredded chicken in pesto sauce and then used it as a pizza topping (made with TJ’s pizza dough – a reccomendation from you!) and it was delicious, so that’s my vote for how to use the rest of your pesto :-)
I made my own pesto, but it takes a lot of basil to make just a little sauce, so I think I might head to Costco this weekend and try it out. Thanks for letting me know about all of the yummy food there is in the world!

Reply

Haha, I thought for sure that the teeth issue was due to candy hahaha. I love pesto – and the ways you prepared it are my favorite ways!!

Reply

I love pesto! And your panini looks awesome delicious :D
Hehe, Brooke is such a cutie!
And yes… I had braces. Lost the retainers though, but I think I’ll get fitted for a mouth guard soon (which should help to retain at least the top teeth).

Reply

Janae!! Since I know you’re on a ‘my husband is in college’ budget, here’s an idea for your halloween costumes. Just get some garbage bags or even just wear black shirts….all 3 of you…. and Billy can put an old phone receiver taped to his shirt with a googley eye on it and be an “iPhone”, you can tape a pad of paper to your shirt with a googley eye and go as an “iPad” and you can cut out of green felt a pea pod and put a googley eye on it and have Brooke go as an “iPod”!! So cute, right?!!! That’s what my family will be doing this year! Can’t wait to hear what you decide! :o)

Reply

Oh my goodness! I absolutely love it. I know billy would love this idea too because he is obsessed with all things Apple! Thank you so much!

Reply

I had braces twice, and now at almost 30 years old, I have the lovely pleasure of wearing a mouth guard to bed every.single.night due to me grinding the crap out of my teeth once my head hits the pillow. Not sexy.

And definitely the cookie dough kinda gal right here. :)

Reply

Where did you find Crispy M&Ms? I’m jealous!

Reply

A friend from Europe sent them, I WISH we still had them in the US:(

Reply

My favorite pesto thing right now is pesto tortilla chicken pizza. I use a tortilla but you can use a real pizza crust. Use pesto as the sause then add shredded chicken and red onions. Then bake for just a few minutes. It is so easy and SOOO yummy!

Reply

Thanks Lisa, that is an incredible idea and it sounds super easy! You are the best!

Reply

For those afraid of raw eggs…here’s a great recipe for egg-less cookie dough from Pinterest (of course)!

Reply

THANKS ADDIE!! That is a great idea, I will be trying this out asap!

Reply

Love pesto! I like it best on a chicken, cheese, tomato panini or pasta. It’s also super good as pizza sauce and we put spinach, ricotta, mozz, and chicken as toppings. Yum.
Cookie dough all the way.

Reply

Those cookies are making my mouth water and it’s only 8:50am! Brooke is a darling as usual :) I had pesto on eggs at a restaurant the other day, and it was goooood! So I’d say make a quiche with your leftover pesto!

Reply

This first time I saw this usage for pesto I was like wow that is random but it works great! The recipe was like a vegetable/minestrone type and called for about 1/2 cup of pesto at the very end right before serving. Served with salad and toasted sour dough bread, one word ~ deeeeelishhhhhh :)

Brooke is so cute I just imagine her getting fussy!

Reply

Okay where in the world did you find crispy m & m’s???? They are my favorite and I havent seen them in YEARS!

Reply

A friend from Europe sent them to me! I miss them so much!! Why don’t they sell them in the US anymore?!?!

Reply

Ok, so this totally explains why I couldn’t find them yesterday! I checked two stores. So sad. Don’t worry, I bought the fall color M&Ms (plain milk chocolate) and made cookies anyway. They may be plain but they look very festive!I was tempted to try the white chocolate candy corn M&Ms…maybe tomorrow!

Reply

Pesto salmon is hands down my fav way to eat pesto. Take salmon filet, smother in pesto, wrap the whole thing in tinfoil, into the oven, BOOM. Delicious!

As for cookies/dough, I straight up will make cookie dough just to eat the dough. My fav is making little balls of it, putting it into the freezer and having frozen cookie dough “cookies”. BEST THING EVER

Reply

Kim, your pesto salmon idea made me drool! I will so be trying this! Thank you so much! PS Brilliant idea about the frozen cookie dough, I will be copying you!

Reply

Second that question…Where are the crispy M&M’s?? I heard they quit making them?

Reply

A friend in Europe sent them to me!! I can’t understand why they would stop selling them in the US?!?!

Reply

It’s all about the cookie dough! You guys can dress up as marathon runners!

Reply

Yeah, I echo a number of other people on here–WHERE did you get cripsy M*Ms??! I just read something the other day that they quit making them in 2005!!! They were the BEST so I’m super jealous! Tho, um, you may want to double check the expiration date on them ;-D

Ok, this is really random but I think you and Billy need to go as the Karmin singing duo LOL I don’t know what it is but every time I see them I think of you and Billy!! Good luck re-creating her interesting hairdos though haha!

Reply

HEY YOU!! They still sell them in Europe and a friend sent them to me:) I am super bummed I am all out now! LOVE YOUR IDEA!! Thanks Lauren and I hope you are having an amazing day!

Just got my braces off last year and have not missed a day of flossing or putting my retainer in! I feel super responsible.

Pizza with pesto! Or pesto chicken.

This is a super easy idea for the three of you: Mr. and Mrs. Pacman and she can be a ghostie. We did this last Halloween and it was a huge hit at our ward trunk-or-treat!!! Plus it was really easy to sew. All you need is felt.

I love both. BUT, I have to eat the cookies fresh. Day old just don’t cut it for me!!!

P.S. We lived in San Jose (Campbell) for my husband’s internship and loved it! The weather is gorgeous the entire year except for like one week when the temps get hot. You’re going to love the roadside farmers markets….avacados 4 for $1, artichokes 10 for $1….and it goes on! Also, you must go to Maggiano’s (the pasta will make you cry) AND Pluto’s has amazing build-your-own salads!

Reply

Where do you find Crispy M&Ms? I thought they only sold them in Europe now and replaced them here with Pretzel M&Ms! I loved those when I was younger!

Reply

A friend sent them to ne from Europe!!! I think they are way better than the pretzel kind, do you?

Reply

Ahh that’s awesome! I love the Crispy ones soo much, I don’t know why they think we don’t like them here! I went to Europe 2 summers ago, so I was in heaven eating Crispy m&ms again. I actually just had a few the other day because a friend of a friend brought a bag back and I was able to score a couple!

Reply

I really like pesto on my pizza. You and the fam should all be diff types of candy for Halloween. Or anything involving a gigantic tutu because babies in tutu’s are too cute.

Reply

I loooove pesto! Pesto on various grilled sandwiches is always a fave, but you already got there! Pesto scrambled eggs, pesto pizza….

I’ve only worn my retainer a couple of times in the last four months. Before that I was so good about it and wore it almost every night. (My exception was when I was sick. Being perpetually sick for the last four months has put a kink in that….) I know it’s going to feel awful when I put it back in, sigh.

Reply

I LOVE pesto!! YUMM. I need to get some from Costco too!

And yes, I wear retainers every night. I had braces for too long to NOT wear those things–they keep my teeth straight!

Brooke is adorable!

Reply

Brooke should be a marathon runner for Halloween, duh! ;) Those cookies look so yummy! I need to make some ASAP. I always, always get food on me, too, whenever I’m cooking OR eating, so we’re basically twins. And your sunflowers are so pretty!!

Reply

Ugh i had braces twice and now I have permanent retainers because i am NOT doing that again! haha!

You should all dress up as different candies for halloween!

And cookie dough is WAY better than the actual cookies. When ever I start making cookies, my hubby makes me promise to bake at least half of the dough. The rest I get to eat and risk getting salmonella – so worth it! Since being pregnant I’ve been banned from baking cookies because I have zero self control and would NEED to lick the spoon and I guess raw eggs are bad for fetuses or something?

Reply

BRILLIANT idea about the candy costumes:) I banned myself too when I was pregnant. CONGRATS on the pregnancy!

Reply

I had braces in middle school and I tried to use my retainers but my dog always ate them! My parents were NOT happy about that one :)

Brooke should be a banana and you and Billy could be monkeys! Or you should be some sort of dessert, Brooke could be a candy bar :)

I LOVE PESTO! I love it on everything and I usually do some sort of bow tie pasta and pesto but pesto on pizza as the base instead of tomato sauce is delicious as well!

Dough all the way :)

I love cookie dough….can’t keep my fingers off of it!

Someone may have already said this but pesto pizza is so so good. Pizza dough, pesto, cut up tomatoes & add some shredded cheese. It’s yummy!

Reply

I had braces for 7 years! and will have to wear a retainer every night for the rest of my life, SEXY!
ooh pesto is a great base for a pesto chicken pizza mmm
you and your man should be chefs and Brooke should be a lobster, put her in a giant pot and carry her around all night, so cute!!
I’m a finished cookie gal, mainly because I love putting a giant scoop of ice cream between 2 barely cool cookies :)

Reply

Oh I hear you on the whole retainer thing. I went a year without wearing it and it was an extremely painful process to get it to fit in my mouth again. You would think being a dental hygienist I would know better, but no. It was forcing it in or going through treatment again. THAT wasn’t going to happen.

Cookie dough > Cookie. Salmonella my butt, I’m eating the cookie dough. I’ve been doing it for 25 years and I’m still alive.

Reply

Glad I’m not the only one to wear my retainer once every 3 blue moons or so. Love the open mouth on Brooke in the cookie pic.

Reply

Okay so I am obsessed with cookie dough, in fact I have made my tummy very sick from it, a lot of time…I never learn my lesson. I think Brooke should be a Sour Patch Kid for halloween:) thats my vote!!

That picture with you and Brooke is hilarious! She is so jealous of you eating cookie dough. I would be too!!

I need a full body bib too. I end up with oatmeal on my shirt/in my hair at least once a week. And it isn’t easy to get oatmeal out of your hair when you are on your way to work…

hahaha, i love the random ending.. i wear my retainer 4-5 times a week and if i go more than 3 days without it it definitely feels like your teeth are going to be crushed… mine is SO old.. like the metal kind.. wow, my boyfriend is one lucky guy! ;)

hello! I am a long time reader and this is my first post! I absolutely adore your blog and Brooke is a doll! I just HAVE TO KNOW where in the world did you buy crispy m&ms !? I live in the south east and I haven’t been able to find them in ten+ years :( they were my most favorite m&m/candy of all time..I looked it up and thought they stopped making them. I NEED to order some! :))

Where the heck did you find the crispy m&ms??? Those are my favorite and can never find them! Also, Brooke is probably the cutest little girl I’ve seen!

I used to have braces and a retainer. Ahhh I probably still have it somewhere but gave it up a long time ago. I still have a permanent retainer on the back of my teeth though!

Can’t wait to see what Brooke will be for Halloween :)

Reply

That picture of her with her mouth open is hilarious! Love it!

I have fortunately, never had braces, nor retainer. My wisdom teeth even came in..with enough room for them, no impaction, etc. It totally ticks my husband off everytime we go to the dentist, lol.

Pesto..I’m sorry, I just can’t help in that area.

ooh, there are so many Halloween costumes to choose from. My first daughter was Snow White, my second daugther was a caterpillar. My nephew was a Hershey’s chocolate bar. … the costumes for the little ones are endless and all adorable. This year my 11 year old is going as the Black Widow from the Avengers, she has even talked me into dying her hair red (the one that washes out in 3 weeks) my 5 year old is going as the pink power rangers samurai…She takes Gymnastics, Dance and Karate..all with the intentions that she will become a pink princess ninja….who is married to Justin Bieber when she grows up. … No. She’s not joking…she is completely serious when she says this. Its on every single school project that asks the question “what do you want to be when you grow up.” ….

For me..with cookies..its all about the finished product..but they have to be chewy.

Reply

Haha, I’m in dental school and I’m pretty sure your teeth won’t fall out. I had braces until 13 and stopped wearing a retainer at 16 and I’m 22 now. My mandibular (bottom) canines have shifted lingually (backwards) but I’m lucky that nothing else has shifted. I would try to put the retainer in but if it hurts too badly, don’t force it. When you go back home, get your retainer adjusted by your orthodontist because they usually do it for free or a small price. It’ll be worth it in the end because it will stop your teeth from shifting further, if they will shift at all.

Reply

Omg you capture the most ADORABLE and FUNNIEST pictures of you and that beautiful girl. I am dying :)

I sooooo want to make cookies just to eat the cookie dough. This craving has last a week.

Love those photos of the family and Brooke. Sooo much cuteness!

And now I want pesto. Next time I am at Costco, I must pick some up :)

Its been 14 years and I still have my retainer, I wear it on and off because my teeth still seem to want to move on me…is that normal??

Love, love cookie dough but you also can’t beat eating a fresh cookie warm out of the oven…hmmm can’t choose just one!
