Impressing Billy and fueling my workout.

My niece makes us go through the pictures from her ballet recital at least twice every time we see her (we took 185 pictures that night so this process takes quite a while).

Photo 1 1

After admiring her leaps and plies for an hour my sis and I went in the backyard to get in some vitamin D, we lasted 15 minutes before sweating to death and going back inside.

Say hello to bump city.

Ahhhh much better….air conditioning is probably the best invention ever.

I am learning more and more that I am going to absolutely love hanging out all day with my little girl.  I enjoy watching cartoons a little too much, I love coloring and nap time is a necessary part of my day too.

Photo 3

My sis and her kiddos are going to be gone for over a week and I am already going through separation anxiety.  What am I supposed to do with my life?

———————————-

I really impressed BIlly last night with having dinner ready for him, those frozen pizzas from Costco sure do take a lot of time to put together and cooking asparagus in the microwave is really gourmet.

DSC 1652

We polished off the pizza and sat on the couch with our huge fan 12 inches away from our faces while watching White Collar.  Finding a show that we both love equally is a huge accomplishment….I can’t get Billy to join in with me on watching The Bachelorette….he thinks it is too dramatic?!?

Once it finally cooled down a little bit I followed Billy on the bike for his run but I couldn’t have made it the whole 5 miles without some much needed glycogen.   Billy is running the Utah Valley Half THIS SATURDAY!  I will be dropping down to the 10k most likely but let’s be honest, I will probably decide the morning of the race.

Photo

Yeah our garage is pretty high class.   Speaking of our awesome backyard/house…in the last 48 hours we have found 2 HUGE/LONG snakes (at the same time), 1 bumble bee chased after me and we have killed 3 spiders (one of them we found when it was crawling on my arm).  Anyone in Utah county want two new roommates for the next few months, I will bring my treadmill for you to use too and keep your pantry supplied with all of your favorite foods.

New HRG Baby Post HERE!!!

Who watched The Bachelorette last night?  Who are you rooting for?  Are you finding this season kind of boring?

Anyone else running UTAH VALLEY this Saturday?

Are you more afraid of spiders or snakes?

Where was the last pizza you had from?  What kind of crust was it?

We had Papa John’s pizza this past weekend. We bought it for our friends who helped us move, but there was a ton of leftovers, so we ate it on Sunday and Monday. :)

I really like Jef on the Bachelorette. But I seriously don’t know what he was wearing at the Rose Ceremony last night!

Reply

oh my gosh! I HATE spiders and snakes! I found a black snack in my bathroom one time! I thought my daughter put a plastic one there as a joke. It started moving and I freaked. I grabbed a frying pan and went to town. SO nasty. lol.

Reply

I spent one summer at a rental beach house that was infested with spiders. It was insane but I was too young and shy to complain. It ended up being a positive because I ended up conquering my fear because I literally had to face them, ha.

Reply

The last pizza we had was homemade and I burnt it. It was still delicious, though.

I think I’m more afraid of snakes. I heard that if you get a snake infestation in your house, you’re pretty much out of luck for ever getting rid of them.

Reply

O my I hate snakes. I am so scared of them. I don’t mind spiders as much because I can step on them.
I love a thick crust pizza! Yummy.

Reply

Ohhh boy I just had pizza on Sunday night but am craving it all over again! Thanks Janae..thanks a lot!! ;)!

Reply

sounds like a perfect day to me, especially when there’s coloring involved! But um snakes? No thanks…

Reply

I know exactly how you feel about your sister and her kids… I hadn’t seen my niece in 4 days and I heard a baby cry and felt a pang in my stomach from missing her so much! I don’t know how you are going to handle moving away- it would be so hard for me.

Reply

Oh my gosh I could not handle the snakes…my parents used to get mice in their family room during the winter and I refused to go on that half of the house for months at a time!

Reply

I’m terrified of snakes. I mean typing the word makes me cringe. I could not deal with that!

So far, I really like Arie and Sean. I like Doug but I feel like he is holding something back. Ryan and his bump it are losing points every time he speaks!

Reply

Hi, I found your blog through Claire. I have never had a Costco pizza as we don’t have a Costco anywhere near me. But it does look good!

Reply

HEY!!! Thanks so much for commenting. NO COSTCOS…that is a shame. Come to Utah and I will take you for pizza!

Reply

Utah Valley Half will be happening this Saturday! I am doing a half every month until October and this is the first of the series! I thought I would be really sad that I wasn’t doing any fulls this summer, but I am TOTALLY relieved to just run a half (for some reason I feel like halves require like 1/10 of the training that fulls do)!

Reply

WAHOOOO KELLI!!! I am so so stoked that you are doing a 1/2 every month until Octover…that is awesome! I completely agree with the training of the half being so much easier than the full and the RECOVERY is a million times easier!

Reply

I am more afraid of spiders, they are sneaky and creepy. As country as it sounds, we just shoot snakes.

Reply

We make homemade pizza at least once a week. I am not running the Utah marathon Saturday, but I am heading to Salt Lake to grade AP US Gov’t exams for an entire week.

Reply

Come down to Provo and hang out with me:)

Reply

No matter what you make, it always looks so delish, frozen pizza and all. Last night I made tacos because yours looked so good the other day. The last pizza I had was red barren. It’s a pretty regular weekend lunch routine that Chris has 3/4 of the pizza, I make myself a salad and have the other 1/4.

Reply

I am so happy that you made TACOS!! So when will you and Chris be coming out to Northern Cali on vacation? I will take you to all of the best spots!

PS the end is near:)

Reply

My husband & I just had pizza from this little place in Brooklyn & it was soo good! The crust was not too thin & not too thick & the slices were enormous! Very very tasty!

Reply

i cant decide which one i’m more afraid of..omaiga!! i think maybe spiders might be a LITTLE above snakes.

i had taco pizza on sunday but wasnt super impressed. just normal crustyness. I think me and Kev make MUCH better pizzas on our own, i’m inspired to make my own darn taco pizza. costco frozen pizzas are the best :)

Reply

I can’t watch this season…it is SO boring!

Reply

I love Arie!!! I also like Sean and Travis (now that he got rid of the egg). I lost interest in Ryan after he told her last week that she better not get fat if they get married… who tells someone that?!

I am equally afraid of spiders & snakes… but it’s more common to see spiders around here, so I’ll go with that. I’m dreading this coming fall because the cornfield next to our house means we will probably see at least one little mouse in our house (that rhymed haha)… Ugh, yuck.

The last pizza I had was from Papa Murphy’s (take ‘n bake)… it was chicken parm on think crust… and it was delicious.

Reply

That Papa Murphy’s pizza is making me drool, I absolutely need to try that. HAHA thank goodness travis got rid of the egg! Seriously, Ryan…I can’t believe he said that!

Reply

I AM running Utah Valley! My third full! WHOOO :D Arriving in SLC on Thursday and staying in Utah through the weekend in downtown Provo :D

Reply

We are meeting up right?!?!

Reply

I sure hope so! I’ll be in town Thurs-Sun.

Reply

I think spiders are way more creepy than snakes! weve found 6 in the past few days, were going to get some spider traps! I got offered a spot to run in the Provo Half on saturday! Im kinda freaking out..cause I really would love to do it, this would be my only big race of the year! Im signed up to do the 10k, I dont want to kill myself doing 13 miles…but the medal looks so pretty! haha. Go billy and you for running in both races! thats awesome!

Reply

MINDEE!!! How the heck are you? I am STOKED that you are running the 1/2!! What has your longest run been? You’ve totally got this and the medal is pretty. The course is mainly downhill so you should be fine…you are STRONG and there is no shame in walking anytime you have to!

I watched the Bachelorette last night after my kids went to bed and my hubby said to me, ‘I don’t know who is worse…the people on this show…or you for watching it.’ Whatever hater. I love the drama. It’s a train wreck I gotta watch. You can move in with me so I have someone to watch it with, cause ya it is IS boring this season. How come all the guys have terrible hair this season? I am blowing up the air mattress for you now.

Spiders are WAY worse than snakes. Eek. I hate them.

We ate pizza last night, but I made it. We had a ‘picnic’ with pizza, grapes, watermelon and ice cream on our living room floor while we watched The Muppet movie for family night. My kids thought it was the coolest thing ever.

Hope you are having a great day!

Reply

I am so coming to your next family night! That sounds like way too much fun!!! I think we might be worse for being addicted to The Bachelorette ha. We will move in tonight.

Wanna do froyo tomorrow?

Reply

Does your Costco sell Home Run Inn frozen pizzas? Might just be a midwest thing, but if it’s not you should try them. They are my favorite frozen pizza ever–the sauce is so delicious and the crust is crisp and cracker-y.
We have lots of long black snakes on our property and they don’t freak me out too much. I hate spiders, but they’re everywhere and I probably kill at least one a day (ah, basement living).

Reply

I am totally going to search for the Home Run Inn pizzas…I might have to go tonight now:) How do those snakes not freak you out? Have you just gotten used to them or they never freaked you out?

Reply

haha, yeah I’ve just gotten used to them! I mean I don’t go pet them or anything, but I don’t scream anymore ;) I hope you like HRI pizza if you get any!

Reply

Definitely more afraid of spiders. Snakes are creepy, but spiders terrify me. I have been known more than once to kill a spider (even the small ones) in the basement and leave the shoe on top of it and make my husband throw it away when he gets home from work. Yuck!
The last pizza I had was from Pantera’s. It’s a local pizza place that is close to my heart. Aside from that being where my parents always bought pizza, it is the place that my dad took me out to lunch before a big change in life. Before I went to college, a few days before I got married, and right before I had kids. When my dad retired, I got to take him there, it was awesome!

Reply

Yeah! I am running the Utah Valley…it will be my second full! I am so nervous and excited. I am worried about the altitude and COLD temps at the start line (dallas runner). I hope to see you and Billy…it would be fun to finally see my favorite blogger in person :) Plus it’s my Birthday and all of my siblings are running the full and half with me! :) Can’t wait.

Reply

JAMIE!!!! I am seriously so so excited for you. Second full…wahoo you’ve totally got this. Are you coming up just for the race? WE HAVE TO MEET UP. Seriously, I would love to meet you! HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY ALMOST BIRTHDAY and that is so special that your siblings will all be running with you.

Reply

Your neice is ADORABLE!!!!

Last weekend, no joke– we had FOUR different kinds of left over pizza in our fridge… my husband is more than a little obsessed with pizza.

Oh, and snakes are WAY WAY WAAAAY worse than spiders. Ew. Ewwwww. Ok, must stop thinking about snakes. Now.

Reply

I love your neice’s hair!! Perfect curls!
Definitely more afraid of spiders, I was sad a little one got away from me the other day and it’s still in the apartment. D:
We had pizza weeks ago, we baked gluten free pizza with one of the g-free mixes we got from our wedding. lol
We’ll take ya!….we just live in SLC :(

Reply

We will be up with all of our bags ready to move in tonight okay:) Gluten free pizza…that is awesome! OH NO, I will help you find that spider. Hope you are having an amazing day!

Reply

I don’t know what I would do if I found a snake in my backyard. Spiders are fine but snakes are entirely different!
Pizza night is every Sunday. We get ours from Round Table. Mainly because it’s right down the street and they deliver fast, like before you hang up the phone with them. We like that because once we start thinking about pizza, we are starving!
You’re going to have a blast with your little girl!!

Reply

I watched The Bachelorette! And JUST blogged about the boring factor of it this morning. I can’t stay awake during an episode anymore!

Reply

eeek they are a close tie…I don’t think I could choose! I love a thin crust pizza, our last pizza was from Domino’s, by my favorite pizza is from Papa Murphy’s. I love a pizza from there with diced tomatoes, I know it sounds boring it is surprisingly fantastic! I use to work at a Papa Murphy’s when I was in high school and all of their stuff is so fresh, yum!

Reply

Good luck to Billy on his race this weekend! And yikes on all of the scary creatures around!! The other day I found a brown recluse spider in my bathroom and miiiiight have freaked out a little bit :-)

Reply

The spider was on your arm?!?!?!

Reply

Yes, can you believe that?!?!? I had a minor heart attack! Hope you are having an amazing day Kay!

Reply

Spiders freak me out. I’m not a fan of snakes either but I don’t come across them as often.

Reply

I made Adam watch the Bachelorette last night with me. I feel like it’s moving along slowly. I think she really likes Arie and that is who she will end up with.
I’m definitely more afraid of snakes, but I’m still not a fan of spiders. The last pizza I had was from Dominos and it was a thin crust cheese and mushroom pizza.

Reply

You already know, but I AM running UT Valley this Sat!! I can’t wait, I’m finally getting butterflies. Any tips? If the last shuttle leaves at 4:30am when should I plan to be there? Ahhh so excited!

Reply

WAHOOOO!!! Sharsti!! I am so stoked for you!!!! I would try to get there by 4. Don’t be nervous, you have done the training now it is time for the fun part…too show off how hard you have worked. We have to meet up!
YOU ARE GOING TO ROCK UT VALLEY!

Reply

I’m not a fan of either! Smaller I can handle without too much drama (from me!), but the bigger either are, the scarier they appear.

Reply

Ha ha. I hear you on watching cartoons. I cannot wait to watch Sesame Street with my little one. I’m a big Cookie Monster fan. :)

Reply

Last pizza was from a place called Your Pie.. Individual pizzas made in front of you and stuck in a fire oven to cook! Heavenly hand tossed and my fav :)) snakes are one of my biggest fears! I imagine them jumping off the grown and latching on to me, maybe wrapping around my leg, while I lay there and die of venom. Dramatic much? Lol

I love pizza. We have it at least twice a week. The last pizza we had was a homemade cheese pizza and it was delicious. I used to like regular thickness crust, but I now prefer thin crust. I’m more afraid of snakes. I don’t like either one, but spiders will usually leave you alone if you don’t mess with them.

Reply

Definitely way more afraid of spiders…I don’t think my boyfriend realized how terrified I was of them until we were hiking last week and I made him do spider checks about every 5 minutes because I was convinced I was covered in them! I guess it makes sense why I perfer the super busy hiking trails – less cobwebs.

I had a pizza last night that had parmesan cheese and garlic salt on the crust – AMAZING!

Reply

Last pizza eaten was from Round Table pizza (veggie delight) and the crust was nothing special.
I hate snakes more than spiders, for sure!

Reply

That garage would be perfect to take pictures in front of. Do you have to manually open it? We had an old school garage door when I was younger….annoying! The last pizza I had was from Fat Boys in Ogden. It’s made in a brick oven…yummy! You should venture north and try it. They make zeppoli’s w which are like little donuts drenched in either cinnamon sugar or powdered sugar. And they come out hot…so delicious! Now I want some. Have a great Tuesday!

Reply

Yeah, we have to manually open it but we only keep a few things in there so we rarely use it. Um…can I come with you to Fat Boys next time…you made me drool!

Reply

Yes of course you can join me! My uncle actually owns it…so a discount might be available. Plus they have a skinny girl salad that looks pretty good. I think they have a website I’ll check

Reply

They do have a website…the pictures dont do the food justice. Google Fat Boys pizza and pasta

Reply

OMG snakes! I freak out when I see snakes at a pet store. They are just too icky!

Last pizza was homemade courtesy of the husband. This one was a pan style crust. Really, really good!

Reply

spiders have EIGHT eyes. EIGHT!! I don’t know what G-d was thinking when he created them, but I am pretty sure it was, “well this should be interesting…”

I had pizza from a neighborhood joint. It was perfect, thin crust, with broccoli and banana peppers.

eight eyes, that’s all I’m saying.

Reply

Snake creep me out way more then spiders. I can kill the spiders. Snakes, I always think they can kill me. Last pizza was saturday, and a piece leftover for breakfast Sunday morning. I got it for the kids saturday night, Papa Johns, not my fav, but it is still pizza.

Reply

I watched the bachelorette, and I guess my life is kind of boring because I found it thoroughly entertaining – more just the fact of watching grown men get caddy about a girl, kind of fun:) I really like Doug, and I like Arie, and that other guy that she kept kissing at the end.
VERY cute baby bump:)

Doing my FIRST marathon at Utah Valley this weekend! Very nervous!

Have you ever eaten at Nicolitalia’s Pizzeria in Provo? It’s in the same parking lot as Pizza Pie Cafe. I worked there while I was going to school and it’s amazing! It’s Boston style and soooo good (and greasy). If/when you go I recommend the margarita pizza and make sure to also get a salad with the house dressing and you just might have a new favorite. Oh, and if the owner is there (Nic) tell him you know “Chicago Lizz” and you’ll have a new best friend! You’ll love his accent, too!

Reply

LIZZ!! We are going to have to meet up! I am seriously so stoked for you! You are going to rock your marathon. I have never been to Nicolitalia but I think I will have to go NOW…like right this second. Thank you so much for telling me about this and I will have to tell him I know “Chicago Lizz:)” I can’t wait to see you on Saturday!

Reply

Yay, Lizz! You’re gonna do great! It will be my third marathon but I am just as nervous :)

Reply

Ah, I am sooo afraid of spiders. I found 2 in my place this past week and had to call my mom over to kill them. Embarrassing. I do like the bachelorette because Emily is so sweet, and I like a couple of the guys. I ruined the season by peaking at reality steve and finding out the final 3 and finding out some of the guys’ secrets. I can’t help but want to know the ending of the show while its being aired.

Reply

I am about to watch the Bachelorette on Hulu and so far I kind of like Charlie, but he isn’t getting a lot of notice from Emily.

I am running Utah Valley on Saturday! And it will be my FIRST MARATHON!! Kinda getting nervous, kinda getting excited.

Definitely more afraid of snakes that spiders (mainly due to size). I kill spiders with my vacuum, pretty sure I can’t do that with a snake. Plus… Voldemort.

I am cooking Totino’s pizza right now.

Reply

Last pizza was thin crust with bell peppers, onions, olives and extra cheese.

Reply

Ekkk snakes! I found a spider in my room the other day. The last pizza I had hmmm it was a thin crust from Joeys pizza! It was great :) Do you think swedish fish or gummi bears are better? I can’t decide between the two. They are both so delicious.

Reply

I’m running the UV 1/2. It’s my first 1/2, my second race, and I have alternating moments of terror, anxiety, and excitement. I hope I run into you somewhere along the way!

Reply

Curly is too cute.

Reply

I think this last episode of the Bachelorette was maybe a tad bit boring, but I love Emaily’s season! I can’t wait to see how it turns out! Team Arie!! :)

Last Pizza I had was Domino’s…so yummy.

Do not even get me started on snakes. I am actively looking for them at all times during summer runs/bike rides.

I love your baby bump!! So cute!
