This morning I woke up and got out of bed to get on the treadmill but five minutes later I found myself back in bed. Pregnancy has been really good for me because it has changed my perspective on exercise. Before I would exercise no matter what, every day for the perfect amount of time. Now if I feel good then sure I will get in a workout but if my body actually needs to sleep in and go through the McDonalds drive thru in the morning instead then I will choose that option.
I sure did want some of their pancakes but I already had a bfast packed (along with a lb of watermelon) so I stuck to my favorite craving lately of lemonade. It really is amazing how $1 can buy me so much happiness.
Would you believe me if I told you I couldn’t find my brush this morning? I clearly found a little too much bronzer though.
A major life accomplishment happened today and I ate broccoli for the first time since January 3rd. It didn’t make me die but at the same time I couldn’t believe that I use to eat that 8 cups of that stuff daily. I won’t be trying raw broccoli for a while but might try the heavily buttered/steamed until there are no longer any nutrients/cut up into tiny pieces variety again. Now this is an appetizing photo:
I really don’t know why I am posting this picture. Hmmm.
I absolutely LOVE hearing about new runners and how popular running has become. It makes me really happy to know that so many other people are out enjoying that same endorphin high that I do and that they too have a love for spending $100 to get up at 4 a.m. and run a crazy amount of miles with strangers.
This article from Runner’s World gave me the chills when I read that ‘there were more than 7 million women finishers at US road races in 2011, and women now constitute 53 percent of the fields for such races.’ WOW, way to go!
Keep on running everyone and keep on getting your friends and family addicted to the best sport in the world:)
Have you ever done a women’s only race? Where? Do you ever want to do a women’s only race?
-I have only done a women’s only bike century. I really want to do Nike’s Women’s Marathon in San Francisco.
Do you eat the majority of your veggies raw, steamed or roasted?
Do you think that ‘running’ and ‘races’ is just a trend or do you think that it will continue to grow and stay really popular?
