A tempo workout and the start of a new season.

When Billy texted me yesterday that he was going to go on his tempo run while I was still at school I begged him to wait another hour so that I could come with him.  Better believe I whipped out 5 miles @ a 6:45 pace on our favorite little carless road…….

IMG 2429

Oops, I forgot a minor detail, I was on my mountain bike.  Photo below taken while Billy had a quick potty break, boys are so lucky…it is so easy for them.

Hello grease bang strand.

IMG 2435

We got home just in time to watch our gameshows and then it was time to get rid of Billy’s afro (typing afro was really hard because I kept writing froyo and my brain didn’t know what to do).

I wanted to keep it like this but he wouldn’t let me.

IMG 2438

In exchange for the haircut he made me dinner.  All I wanted was a froached egg sandwich (we are now completely out of any and all produce, a Costco trip is necessary today) with lots of hot sauce and laughing cow cheese.

DSC 0670

For dessert I had vanilla pudding.  How have I forgotten about this stuff?  I will never do such a thing again.  It reminded me of the days in college when the roomies and I would make a ginormous bowl of chocolate pudding and add a tub of cool whip on top….6 spoons, 1 bowl and 8 episodes of The Hills, those were the days.

DSC 0671

It is officially softball season again and Billy’s first game was last night.  They WON!!

DSC 0672

I am going to test out the ankle with a mile or two before school today, pray that it feels fresh and happy.  If it does hurt on the run then please expect a post later on in the day about how I make my TA’s drive to Krispy Kreme to get me a dozen donuts so that I can drown my sorrows in glaze.

Crossing my fingers your run goes well this morning. You and Billy are so awesome on how you work out together!

7 miles on the schedule today, late morning. Alternating between 1 mile easy and 1 mile short tempo pace.

Wow, your sister is quite talented w/hair! I cut my bangs once at the age of 24–it was very, very bad.

Reply

Thanks Becky, you really are the best! I HOPE your 7 miles went awesome and I love the alternating tempo/easy workout, awesome! No more cutting your bangs ha!

Reply

One time I got to give a boy I had just met a mohawk! It was awesome. I felt like such a hairdresser. We haven’t talked in about ten years… maybe I didn’t do such an amazing job after all…

BTW, you totally had me fooled with the pace- totally thought you were pounding out insanely fast miles fuelled by pregnancy hormones!!

Reply

A MOHAWK? okay, that is beyond awesome. I wish those were my paces ha! Have an amazing day Erin.

Reply

I’ve never even tried tapioca … the name alone just makes me sick haha. But I love vanilla or chocolate pudding, especially when I add things like cool whip, crushed graham crackers, and chocolate chips! ;)

Reply

I think you might need to try tapioca, do it for me Kristen:) Yep, you are right…pudding is even more incredible with those toppings!

Reply

I love rice pudding!! Yum! The only time I’ve ever cut my own hair was when I was 4 years old and wanted to look extra pretty for the wedding I was about to be a flower girl in. I chopped it with scissors I took from my art supplies, and my mom cried when she saw me. Haven’t cut my own hair since!!

Reply

RICE PUDDING IS SO GOOD, now you are making me crave it. Hahaha I need a picture of this haircut of yours!

There’s a picture in that post…. I have no shame. Hahah enjoy!

That made me so happy!!! I miss the days that a t-shirt was long enough for pj’s. You were adorable and you and bruce are BFF’s!!!

Reply

Just finished my 5 miles easy.

I have cut both mine and Scotts hair. Both of which did not really turn out. Oophs :) I wish I was better at it. It would be nice and if I could do it myself and do a good job. I would save a ton of money.

Happy Thursday! Only one more day till the weekend! Woohoo!

Reply

Great run Sarah! Seriously, hair stuff is so expensive…there must be a cheaper way. Hope you are having an amazing day Sarah!

Reply

I ran an easy run this morning that was speed work for my girlfriend. We discussed how different two people’s paces can be.

I cut by brother-in-laws hair once a month. Last time, I forgot to put the guard on, before I started. Super short…he loved it; my sister threatened to kill me.

BTW, the word tapioca is scary…if it had a different name, I’d try it.

Reply

You are so right, tapioca is a weird word. GREAT RUN, and that is how Billy and I are…his easiest pace is my full on spring now:) So many different stages and levels of running. Hope you are having an amazing day Laurie!

I have another week and a half off from running and it’s starting to get tough to resist the urge! This is a self imposed post marathon run break and once I’m back I will be SOOOO excited to run, but it’s really tough to just rest from any and all running and cross training.
I LOVE tapioca pudding. My dad used to make the best homemade tapioca with this extra large beady tapioca – so good!
I don’t really have any desire to mountain bike. I think I would like to get into road biking, but not any time soon.
Sometimes I cut my girls hair, but that’s the extent of hair cutting I do. I could never be a hair dresser – I would stress too much about ruining their hair:)
I hope you are able to run – I guess I missed that post about what happened to your ankle, I hope it’s nothing major and is back to normal!

Reply

HEY GORGEOUS!! I just went through and read all of the recaps. First, please teach me how to do a pull-up…you are my hero. I am SO SO SORRY about the hills and heat of your race. It sounds like you learned a ton and you will rock NYCM. Good for you to take a break, your body needs it…stay strong!

Reply

Watching The Hills all day long…..I SO miss that!! Back before I had responsibility, lol. Annoying adult life has ruined my television viewing past-time.

Reply

I hear ya, I am so sick of being responsible….how about we both just stop being adults and eat, run and watch the hills all day together?!?! Keep that calf of yours STRONG!

Reply

WHERE IS YOUR HELMET?

Reply

That was the first thing I thought too!!!!! My dad would be dead right now if not for a bike helmet, it’s kind of a touchy thing for me.

Reply

Hey girls. Aubrey, wow…I can’t even imagine, that must have been so scary. The helmet thing…that was me being forgetful. I set it down when we were pumping my tires up on the side of the house and completely forgot to put it on…we didn’t realize until mile 3 and both felt awful, I hate that. I want to blame it on pregnancy forgetfulness but it really was me just not thinking straight! Never again, don’t worry:)

Reply

I don’t dare cut anyone’s hair– that would be bad. Just plain not okay ;)

I mountain bike all the time! I like to get out at least once a week, if only on the trails by Red Rocks. It’s one of my favorite things ever!

Reply

I wish we could go mountain biking together, wouldn’t that be amazing?

Reply

Um, yes, that would be FUN!!! Let’s do it :)

Reply

I cut Mike’s hair for him, but secretly I want to see what it would look like grown out, so I’ve been holding out on haircuts for him. He complained this morning, though, so I don’t think it’ll last.

I was going to say 6:45 min pace! Glad it was on a bike :).

Reply

I think you should bribe Mike to grow his hair out:)

Reply

I love chocolate and vanilla pudding mixed together :) like when Jello puts them one on top of another, I love that because I get the best of both worlds.

Hope you are running pain-free. I still am not unfortunately :( Hopefully we will be back in tip-top shape soon!

I cut my boyfriends hair, but its not really cutting per se. He has short hair so I just use the buzzer on it every once in a while. He needs my help to get the back of his head so its not a spotty mess haha.

Reply

You are so right about the chocolate and vanilla pudding combo, best ever. I just do the buzzer too on Billy! Keep going to PT and get that IT band healed asap!

Reply

Thanks girl! I’m hoping and trying :)

Reply

I just laughed out loud at my desk at “drown my sorrows in glaze.” Thank you!

Reply

Please tell me that is how you drown your sorrows too:) Have a great day Brianne!

Reply

Of course!! Have a great one, too!

Girl, i’m so happy I discovered your blog yesterday! I love it! Reading this, is totally going to keep me motivated to keep running! 90+ degrees in Charlotte, NC today….had to get a run in this AM. As a fairly new runner…I have one question… how many days, if any, do you take off?

Reply

Jill, thank you so much for your sweet comment you made my day! Um…90+ degrees, that is out of control!!!! Way to get out there, you are inspiring me. I take one FULL rest day (doing nothing, not even yoga) and about 2 days to cross train and not run. You have the most gorgeous pictures ever on your blog, teach me how to take such amazing photos!

Reply

I can’t beleven your sister does her own hair :) that is very brave. I cut my husbands hair but would never dare cut my own. Favorite pudding is chocolate. Yum!

Reply

That is awesome you cut your husbands hair! She went to hair school so she is pretty good at it:) All of your beach pictures make me want to jump on a plane right this second!

Reply

Running later this morning!! Can’t wait, I’ve got guillianna and bill to watch (the only time I can watch them is when I’m running on my treadmill to hide my obsession from the hubby)
Ever tried pudding with Cheerios?? You’ll thank me later :)

Reply

BAHAHAH I love that show too…don’t tell billy. Um, I will be trying your Cheerio combo today, thank you in advance:)

Reply

Sooo…what does the final product of Billy’s haircut look like? :)

Who else got their run on this morning? Who is going to get their run on at some point today? How far?

This morning is BEAUTIFUL so instead of going to the GYM I RAN outside for the FIRST time since my half marathon! I did about 5 miles. I did walk a few times, but at least I know I can still run :)

Favorite PUDDING flavor? Do you like tapioca pudding?
Uhhh Banana is my fave flavor :) I LOVE tapioca!!! When I was really little, my dad would tell me that it was fish eggs! haha I still call it that sometimes!

Have you ever cut anyone’s hair before? Have you ever cut your own hair?
No and No…..guess I wasnt a rebel child!

Ever tried mountain biking? Any desire to mountain bike?
No not really. I dont mind spinning, stationary bikes, or just regular take a ride around town, but I think I would DIE if I tried to climb a mountain on a bike!

Reply

Ha, his hair is just really short everywhere now…I just use the clippers:) YAY for a run outside, that makes me so happy. Way to go!

Reply

No run today.
Tennis was rough last night and am taking a rest day.
NO to the tapioca. Chocolate is it.
I would never try to cut anyone’s hair, or my own.
I have a hybrid bike but an too shaky on it to even leave the neighborhood. I will keep trying to improve.

Good job on taking a rest day. I want to go play tennis with you!

ran 4.2 miles this morning nice and easy in prep for my “long run” tomorrow of 7 miles. First time I will run 7 miles in over a year because of my little baby. Can’t believe how far I’ve come in the last 2 months – 8 weeks ago I could barely run 2 miles without wanting to die!

I’ve mountain biked twice with my husband – LOVE. It was totally fun!

Reply

CHRISTINE….you are rocking it! WAY TO GO!!! I want to hear all about your 7 miles tomorrow!

Reply

I hope your ankle is able to run again, I’ve been injured a few times this year and I know how un-fun it is. Except that you’ve been 700% whiny about it than I was haha.

I hope you’re having a great day!

Reply

Thanks so much Jenn and that is why I love blogging…we all go through the ups and downs of running together. Hope you are having a great day too!

Reply

I am hoping to do 4 miles after work :)
LOVE tapioca, also love banana :) But really I like all pudding!
I use to try and trim my own bags, which was never a good idea and resulted in a emergency haridresser trip all the time.
I have a mountain bike but never have really gone mountain biking, I stick to sidewalks and paved paths :)

Reply

Hope you have an amazing 4 miler today! My bang trims ended the same way as yours ha!

Reply

got my speed workout on at the track, thanks for asking!

Reply

WAY TO GO MARY!

Reply

I got my run in bright and early! And I love the vanilla and chocolate puddings at salad bars, but I’ve never tried tapioca!

Reply

I enjoyed a great run this morning. i wish I had a running buddy like you do, I swear I would be busting out some great speed if I did. it is so much more fun to do it with someone else.

Reply

i cut my husband’s hair all the time! he refuses to go get it professionally cut because he’s cheap, which is totally fine by me!
you look so cute with your little pregnant belly!! :)

Reply

i’ve gotta say, billy’s hair is pretty awesome. he should’ve mohawked it, hahaha.

no running this morning! I ran yesterday so i’m taking it easy for today and tomorrow then a long run on saturday. My foot is enjoying all the babying I do to it…but i’m slowly feeling stronger and thats all that matters to me :)

NO tapioca pudding for me, the texture freaks me out. i lurve butterscotch pudding!

I bought my first road bike last month and I seriously love it…its a lot of fun to go fast and when its beautiful outside its sooooo great! I’d obv never be able to take it mountain biking but thats fine ;) actually, heading out today for a bike ride during lunch!

Reply

i LOVE vanilla pudding! I totally forgot about it too till now. I’ll be buying some tonight! Then can we eat it at the same time so it’s like we’re eating it together??

Reply

Getting my run on after school — hopefully I am un-sore by then. Yesterday I took my students on a field trip and we did some serious hiking in the woods — I am sore in muscles I didn’t know existed! Gah!

I buzz-cut my BF’s hair every couple weeks… I don’t think he even remembers the last time he paid for a haircut. I wish I could get away with that… it would save some serious cash!

And… you should get Krispy Kremes no matter how the run goes — yum!

Reply

My husband is graduating from PA school this weekend which means lots of family coming in, starting today. Knowing that I knew I had to get up early to get my speed work done. I did 5 miles and watched the news. Speed training is a great way to be entertained on the treadmill! Favorite pudding is chocolate, I think because my mom made it a lot and always let me lick the mixing bowl. I cut my husband’s hair once a month. Seeing you cut Billy’s actually makes me feel guilty because my husband wanted me to cut his sometime this week…oops!

Reply

Hope your ankle let’s you run! I’m battling ITBS right now and not being able to run is so frustrating. Tapioca pudding or chocolate are my favorites. They should make a chocolate tapioca pudding!

Reply

PUDDING! Chocolate pudding and tapioca pudding, both excellent. I’m reminded of my youth, when there was the Nestle pudding in cans. My mom would never let me lick the top because she was afraid I would cut my tongue open.

I’m probably going to become obsessed with pudding now and eat it with every meal for the next two weeks. Yay!

Reply

Chris has been asking for a haircut but I always put it off as long as possible…it makes me nervous and I’m not a fan of the clean up!

PS…where’s your helmet!? Have to ask, I’m a huge stickler about them and it drives me absolutely crazy when people aren’t wearing one, especially if they make their kids wear one. Just sayin

Reply

Do what I do and make Chris clean it up:) Honest mistake…we had to pump up my tires and so I set it down on the side of the house and left before remembering to put it on. We both felt awful 3 miles into the run/ride when we realized I forgot. I could blame it on pregnancy forgetfulness but it really is that I am just a forgetful person. NEVER AGAIN:) Thanks Heidi!

Reply

Actually…I probably should make him clean it up!

And as much as the helmet thing bugs me I can’t honestly say that every single ride I’ve had one strapped to my head – people forget! And you’ve got a baby sucking up all your brain juice! I just had to ask…and since I’ve forgotten mine {or forgotten to nag Chris for his…} a few times I’m not judging! No worries!

Reply

You probably already knew this but I just read this – “Shalane Flanagan set an Olympic Trials record of 2:25:38 in only her second marathon, ” – I did not realize how fast she completed the marathon. This blows me away!

Reply

Isn’t that the coolest thing ever. She is my hero! Hope you are having an amazing day Kent!

Reply

I love Tapioca pudding. Lots of people hate it, but it is just so darned tasty!

I cut Aaron’s hair for him, though sometimes I just wish he’d go to a barber so I don’t have to hear him say “ummm I think you missed a hair or two here…” LOL!

Reply

I agree…it is delicious. Good for you to cut his hair and I told Billy he should have gone to the barber too because I always get so nervous I am going to mess up the buzz cut that I do for him:) Have a great day Janine!

Reply

My sister and I knocked out a 7 mile this morning at 5am. Not fun waking up that early but the high today in NC is 90 degrees so it was a necessity! And I love having it done first thing in the morning so I can veg out on the couch after work :)

Looks like Billy got a new do… we need a pic! :)

Reply

Whitney…way to go girl! THAT IS AWESOME! I can’t believe how hot it is already. Enjoy vegging out later and I will totally post a picture of his new style.

Reply

My favorite pudding flavor is pistachio. I’m not a fan of tapioca pudding. It looks like spider eggs in my pudding and I just can’t get past that.

I cut my husbands hair once but I didn’t do a very good job so I ended up having to shave it for him. I’m not allowed to touch his hair anymore.

Reply

I forgot about pistachio, delicious! HAHAHA all I do is buzz billy’s head, I don’t think he would trust me to do anything else;) Have a great day Michelle!

Reply

You had me for a second there, I was in amazement that you were coasting along at a 6:45 pace.

Today heading out for 4×10 minutes @ tempo pace, crossing my fingers that the knee holds up. It’s 9 am and already 80 degrees and humid, so we shall see how this goes.

As for pudding, I’m not really a fan. Unless it’s with vanilla wafers, bananas, and cool whip…yummo!

Reply

HA I wish….someday I will get back there right:) Girl, I will be praying for that knee of yours to cooperate! Okay, I can’t believe the weather you guys are having, that is out of control!

Reply

I ran a nice 3 miles before work this morning! The weather was perfect, maybe even a little too warm for 5 30 am!

Reply

JANA, way to go! Already to warm at 5:30 a.m. NOOOOOO!

Reply

That is so impressive about your sister. You guys have such beautiful hair! I have a hair appointment today that I am super excited about. There is no way I would ever do anything to myself. It wouldn’t be good, haha! My sister really liked a hairstyle I had & we figured it would be simple enough that I could cut her hair like it. Ummmm….no. Poor thing & she was just about to move to a new state & had to try to make friends like that!

Reply

Thanks Cristin! She went to hair school so she knows her stuff:) AHHH so excited for your hair appointment, what will you be getting done?

Reply

I’m goin lighter for the summer! It’s fun being a girl & getting to try different things with hair & make up

Love The Hills college reference – my friends & I would watch it together, too! :)

Reply

I miss that show so much, quality television;)

I ran post work at the gym—it has been raining for days here and I couldn’t bring myself to get up early or run outside.

Chocolate pudding all day long!!!

I cut my husbands hair and I always threaten to draw designs on his head hahah

Never mountain biked but I want to…I sort of hate biking on busy roads around my house so I think I will like mountain biking better

Reply

The rain always makes me stay in bed in the mornings. HAhAHA let’s both draw designs in their hair next time…deal?

Reply

hahah deal! We are running the Ragnar Relay next week….I think the logo would look great! :P

Reply

How does she cut her OWN hair? That seems impossible!! I don’t believe it! I hope your ankle is feeling way way way WAY BETTER!

Reply

She went to hair school and so she is really good at her and somehow she can do it. AMAZING right? Thanks so much, it feels a ton better.

This morning I taught the hardest bootcamp ever. We died. We are in serious training mode. We dominated last weekends adventure race and have signed up for 2 more…yikes. I only thought I died during class….post class I had to meet with my training team and do 11 miles. Ahhhh. How will I teach aerobics again tonight???
I would never cut my hair or anyone else’s! Brave!!!
No pudding (lactose) and no road biking. I was run over by a car once when I was triathlon training. No lie. I’m traumatized and I still have gravel under my skin in some areas. Nasty! This is why I’ll never be a triathlete!

Reply

Your bootcamp classes make me sweat just thinking about it! I really wish I could come. Way to go on your adventure race…any pictures? 11 miles after class, way to go woman. I had no idea you were run over by a car, that is so scary!!!

Reply

I like chocolate pudding, when you can’t mix it all the way because you only have a fork, and you’re left with delicious little bits of mix. I really like the cheesecake flavor and I think white chocolate.

I trim my mom’s hair between haircuts. last time it was a little lopsided, though, so i think I’m out for a while. EP asks me to, but for some reason, he’s kidding every time. :p

Reply

I am going to have to try your fork method…oh the white chocolate is so good. Hahaha I think I messed up on Billy’s hair last night too, he better forgive me.

Reply

You wanted to type froyo … that’s funny, because I still read it as froyo :)

I cut my own hair when I was younger once … I had braided my hair into two pigtails, and when I finished I noticed I had missed a strand right in the middle of them. So, I cut it off right at the scalp (I was young, okay?). So dumb hahaha.

Reply

I know what is on our mind 100% of the day…FROYO:) HA I loved hearing your hair cutting story:)

Reply

I llloovvvee tapioca pudding!! When I was growing up, I always thought it was gross because of the little tapioca beads in it without actually trying it. Luckily I came to my senses recently. Seriously delicious.

Reply

I was the same way, no I LOVE IT!! You just have to get over any texture issues:) Have an amazing day Liz!

Reply

I ran 5 miles on the gym treadmill. It was slow, hot and sweaty. It’s humid here and I think they had the heat on!! I went through 1.5 – 24oz bottles of water!

I love to layer vanilla, chocolate and cool whip together.

I shave my husbands neck with his clippers.

Biking scares me. road and mountain.

Reply

Heat and humidity during your run…you are amazing! Way to drink up:) The layered pudding with cool whip is the best thing ever!

Reply

I haven’t ran since my first MARATHON on Saturday and I’m really missing it. I had a huge blood blister on my foot which kept me from walking normally let alone run. I finally popped it last night so I’ll be hitting the pavement tomorrow morning for a short jaunt :)

Chocolate. Hands down.

I ‘cut’ my boyfriends hair for the Army… aka buzz it. I think that’s all he’d trust me with ;)

I really want to get into road biking… I think I’d eat it on a mountain bike and trails though.

Reply

AHHH I need an update on your blog about how your marathon went…I need details! Your lulu jacket is the cutest thing ever. The buzz is all that Billy trusts me with too. Hope your run in the morning is perfection:)

Reply

I actually really like tapioca pudding, yum! No run this morning, maybe later today.

I hope your ankle feels good!

Reply

Thanks so much Dani! Tapioca really is delicious….all pudding is:) Enjoy your run later.

Reply

I’m off from running for a couple of days because of incredibly sore calves… I did 4.1 miles in vibrams the other day (I did 4 miles completely barefoot about 2 weeks ago, I guess that was too long of a lapse between runs)… and now my calves are screaming. So I need to get on the bike today… and the bike terrifies me.

Reply

Mt. Biking is a blast, a great lung-burning interval type workout, makes some great scars when you fly over your handlebars, and maybe best of all Mt. Bikers are just a cool community of Dudes and Dudettes.

Reply

I love mountain biking. I switch between training for mountain bike races and running races. I am tapering for my marathon in two weeks so last night was my first mountain bike race of the season.
I cut my own bangs. It’s tragic most of the time. I am desperately in need of a real haircut right now.

Reply

I have a 30 minute easy run today- running a half on Sunday!! My favorite kind of pudding is more of a pudding combo. Ever had “dirt”? aka chocolate pudding, oreos and gummy worms? Its heaven.

Reply

DIRT PUDDING IS MY FAVORITE….must make asap! GOOD LUCK AT YOUR HALF ON SUNDAY, you are going to rock it!

Reply

No running for me right now. I fell earlier this week and banged up my right knee. Walking and bending it still hurts. =(

I do like tapioca pudding. It’s one of my favs!

I have given a my ex-husband a haircut before. I would never try to cut my own! Then I would have no one to blame but myself if it looked bad!

Ever tried mountain biking? Any desire to mountain bike? I have a mountain bike and lots of trails around me. It’s pretty popular here with actual races that draw riders from all over the country. But I have never tried it myself. Looks hard and I am scared. =)

Reply

Letting my shins rest one more day so I will hit the stairs machine at the gym after work.

Chocolate pudding, it is a must if I am not feeling well. My husband now knows and buys me coloring books and “monkey” pudding when I don’t feel well. Makes everything better. I am mature.

No way, mountain biking is NOT for me. Bad bike accident in high school and it looks way too scary, I will stay on my two feet.

Reply

I’m getting my run on after work today, yay!

Yuck tapioca pudding = fish eyes and glue.

Your sister has amazing hair and the fact that she cuts and colors it on her own is amazing! Not fair!

Reply

I’ll get in a 5 mile run this morning… but about a minute slower per mile than Billy.
And, yes! I like tapioca pudding :)

Reply

I didn’t run this morning, but I am doing a 30 min tempo run this afternoon.

I LOVE pudding0 not tapioca though- the texture throws me off. Butterscotch is my favorite. I really wanna make some tonight actually….

I’ve never cut my own hair and I don’t plan on it! I would end up looking like a crazy. Plus my hair grows sooooo slow that it would take forever to fix.

I hope your run goes well!!

Reply

I use to downhill mountain bike with my husband and his guy friends. Then one day I realized I don’t really like gravity induced sports. As soon as I’m at the top of a mountain I just want to be back at the bottom. Must be why I love running so much :)

Reply

I cut my husband’s hair too! And I do a great job, if I do say so myself…. :)

I don’t love pudding, but Jason’s Deli Chocolate one with choc chips in it is mighty delicious. YUMM.

Hope your run went well!!

Reply

I cut my husbands hair (with buzzers)…so there is no talent involved. He has never had a professional haircut. It blows my mind.

I had to share with you that I went to a baked potato party last night…We brought the baked potatoes and everyone brought different toppings to put on them. You would have been in heaven.

Reply

SHANNON..how did you not invite me:) That really would have been my heaven especially if there were doughnuts for toppings too! Never had a professional haircut, makes your job easy:)

Reply

I used to cut my hair!! It was horrible. I thought it was great but it wasn’t. Fortunately I found a friend in cosmetology school and he helped fix me up.

I told my friend I cut my own hair and she said, “cut mine!” She said she loved it but secretly went home and cried!! We’re still friends and can laugh about it now :)

Reply

That is a good friend to stick with you after that ha…I am just kidding:)

Reply

So true!! Good thing hair grows :)

Vanilla pudding is the BEST…and I love tapioca too, but there’s nothing better than super cold (not frozen) vanilla pudding!! YUM!

And P.S., The Hills was an amazing show… what happened to the days of good TV? Hahhaah.

Reply

I hope your ankle is okay and you can run!!!
I loved (still do) The Hills! Lauren Conrad all the way!
I like riding bikes but I’m really bad at it! Like one time I ran into a fence bad… Now I just stick to spin class.. hah

Reply

Aww I love vanilla pudding too – and THE HILLS LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it haha.

Reply

I’m jealous Billy gets to play softball. I totally miss playing! Oh and his fro? Out of control!
I did 1.5 miles on the treadmill this morning since I have a race on Saturday.
For some reason the only pudding I like is homemade rice pudding. I think plain pudding is a texture issue for me, it’s too slimy or something and I can’t bring myself to eat it.
I cut two of my best friends’ hair in high school and I’ve cut my husband’s hair a few times but I’m not great at it and it takes me forever. When I had a super short pixie cut I was always tempted to cut my own hair. I’ll be brave enough to try it next time I get a pixie.
I actually met my husband through mountain biking. In high school I joined the mountain biking club and at the first club meeting there was a super cute boy there with his friends but we didn’t really talk. Then on our first club trip to the mountains we were unloading our bikes and he came over to me with his bike and said, “Hey, nice bike!” It turns out we had the exact same bike. I swear that day I knew I would marry him. We dated off and on for 6 years until we got married. So mountain biking has a special place in my heart :)

I cut my husbands hair and I always leave a little bit in the back to see if he’ll notice! I can’t leave it for long because I can’t help but bust out laughing.
Ok I only hope I can look like you when I’m pregnant!

I’m praying REALLY hard for you. Injuries are the worst and I pray with all my might, mind and strength that you will be okay and be able to run your anniversary half :)

Your ride looks great. After my half marathon this weekend, I definitely need to get out on my bike!

Ha! You got me–thought your were smoking some miles! Billy is on a mission–such a running talent.

I line-up Spencer’s hair–love it when it is really short!
