Summer has officially started now that I have had my first trip to the pool with my sis and her kiddos. My niece is doing Jazz hands for you.
We went to the pool of an apartment complex that I used to live at. This is the apartment building where Billy and I first met (well, we met in a parking lot but we were both living at this complex at the time). He randomly moved there with his buddies and I moved in with my friends about 10 apartments away….it was clearly meant to be and he has never been happier.
I got quite the leg workout in
yet she is the one that got to take the nap.
After the pool life got really tough and I had to do things like paint my nails and watch Wheel of Fortune.
During my Wheel of Fortune extravaganza a commercial for Outback Steakhouse came on. I hate how they strategically place food commercials to be on right around dinner time when I am starving. Those marketers are sure smart but I showed them and had my own Outback meal at home with a burger (I always put the lettuce under the patty?), a baked potato and grapes. I wonder if this burger love will stay with me after I have the baby, Billy is sure hoping it does.
Once Billy got home from his track workout (4 x 1600 at 6:04) we met up with my bro and sis in-law for one last sugar fest because they will be leaving for a while. Side note: Billy’s brother got into the University of Utah medical school and will be starting in the fall!! They are really excited!

I do have to go back to work today. I have some drivers ed hours to get in for some students so it is back to being a responsible adult for a few more hours. If you live in Utah County and you see a drivers education car out and about it is most likely me so please honk, wave and help save me from my boredom.

Oh man I was watching Masterchef Junior the other day and they were making 4-layer chocolate cake….I couldn’t stop drooling! On a completely separate note, I ran my fast 4-miler yet and had to share it with you….in 35 minutes & 55 seconds. One mile was even done in 8m25! It was my NY resolution to bring my pace under 9mi/miles and I’m so glad that I’ve finally managed to do so :)!

Although I should, I don’t swim anymore. But I’m at the pool most days in the summer for older kids’ swim practice and tiring out the 3-year-old (it totally works!) so that he falls asleep before bedtime.
I drool when I see your food pics! Now I want a burger, even though it’s not yet 8 a.m.
I’ll have a bit of boring in my workday, though deadlines are kinda amping me up a bit. But then I get to leave early to see the musical performance at preschool!!! Highlight of the year!
Usually more chocolatey on the froyo, though the Lucky Charms marshmallows don’t really fit into either category (and they’re super lightweight for a bonus).

You are awesome! You should go on the Price is Right! Although I had no idea frozen yogurt was so spendy (but I am sure its worth every penny!) DQ commercials always make me drool.
How can driving around with students be boring? I think it would be stressful! Can’t you sing to them or something, you know keep it interesting;-) The most boring part of my day is the last 2-3 hours of work (7-10 p.m.) Very few patients and I have most of my work done by 6.

We haven’t been to the pool yet – the weather is crazy here in Illinois. But we did take the kids to the splash park last weekend.
Any commercial with donuts or ice cream makes me drool. Yum….

I’ve been to the pool a couple of times this season.. but for a while, there was no swimming because the filter was broken. Now that it is fixed.. it is freezing. Hopefully it will warm up soon so I can actually swim instead of just lookinng at the poolwhile sweating!

usually commercials don’t make me drool because it always shows the food so unreaslistically, I mean how do ingredients jump perfectly into a bowl?! :) school-most boring part of day. I like chocolatey froyo sometimes, and fruit sometimes, but not together :)

I usually go fruity with my froyo, but the texture has to still be creamy! I’m not a fan of the sorbet type flavors. But I always have to put a bit of chocolate on top!

My day will be pretty exciting because I’m babysitting for twin boys and this one year old sister. Never a dull moment!

I always go for a more chocolatey froyo with some fruits on top (generally). I love that she is sleeping on the side of a pool. It’s 9 here and I already want a nap!
I miss living at my parents for their pool! Oh well.

The last time I went swimming it was in the ocean and I had to get fished out of the ocean by a Greek lifeguard. It was actually a lot less fun/ glamorous than it sounds like, I was crying and spewing water out of my nose/ lungs as 200 people watched. Just a smidge embarrassing! I’m re-thinking my triathlon goal though!
Most boring part of my day = a long work day in the office… Most exciting – this is the last coaching session with my new runners before their first 5k race on Sunday! I’m SO excited to go for one last run with them before the race :)

We grew up with a pool in our backyard and I miss having one. I don’t know of any around here that I can hang out it. If I did, I would. Plus, it’s still chilly in Wyoming right now.

I haven’t been swimming yet unfortunately. Theres a pool in my building but its indoors so its not the same! But I am planning on going to the beach soon, hopefully!
I tend to go for the fruity froyo. For me, if I’m gonna have chocolate I’m going all out on it and getting full fat and creamy. So for froyo I stick to plain tart usually and get lots of fruit on top!

I swim every Thursday with my little one (mommy-and-me swim class), but I have only been in an outdoor pool once this year. The water was still a little cold a few weeks ago and I haven’t tried since then.
I love fruity froyo! I pretty much get the same thing every time. Plain yogurt with strawberries and granola. Yesterday I took a walk on the wild side and added Fruity Pebbles on half.

I love that you said “he’s never been happier.” Made me laugh so hard. I love going to the pool. I don’t have one where I live but I love swimming when I can. There are some lakes around here that I will go to so I can practice for my sprint tri in August. Also, I live right by the ocean so that’s cool too.

We have been swimming but at the lake with our boat, no pools yet. I don’t hang out at pools much anymore. I am sure I will when we have kids and I can’t wait!!! I love pool time.

I went to my cousin’s pool on Memorial Day. We don’t have our own pool, but we have several that we can go to anytime, which is awesome!
My day isn’t boring today – I went for a HOT 3 miler this morning, have a three hour cheer practice with my squad this afternoon, zumba tonight, and then Bible study! :)
Froyo totally depends on my mood – I like the chocolatey/rich stuff more, but I still get the sorbets and fruity flavors especially when it’s 9 billion degrees.

We have a pool in the backyard but it’s SO COLD (even in the hot days of summer!). It actually serves well as an “icebath” after long runs.
I definitely tend to go toward the fruity stuff for yogurts, but the toppings might be neutral (Cap’n Crunch/granola/almonds).

I have yet to be swimming this year. I’ve lived in NH for 6 years and have yet to actually “swim” in the ocean here. It’s way too cold even in August when it’s 90 degrees!
