Things I am loving today.

1.  Dahlicious sent me some of their drinkable yogurts and I had one as part of my breakfast this morning and holy cow it was incredible.  I will be going home and marking my name on them with a big black sharpie or I will just lick all of them….no one better touch them.

2.  Today’s lunch was Oriental Salads which is my absolute favorite.  Chicken, mandarin orange, crispy healthy won tons;) and sesame dressing….the side of Sun Chips also made me just a little happy.

3.  The other day as we were driving to the track I asked Billy what Pandora station I should listen to.  He reminded me that I love all things Beyonce, which is true, and while listening to this station Mariah Carey came on.  How in the world have I forgotten about her?  I have been listening to her every free moment I have since Wednesday and the below song is probably my absolute favorite.

4.  I get to go to the gym today with my sister after school which means lots of talking and only minimal amounts of working out which I am more than okay with.

5.  I am doing my long run with Billy tomorrow…kind of, basically he will just be running circles around me but hey that is way better than running by myself or on the treadmill.

6.  Found this in my car today under a pile of towels (I have forgotten to pack towels a million times for when I get ready at the gym and so I keep extras in my car now because drying off with paper towels is awkward).

I will be getting cake batter with snickers and marshmallows mixed in.

7.  This from Runner’s World. SO TRUE!

I’m loving my HRG-inspired snack: fruit + cottage cheese :)
I haven’t had coldstones in SO long but now I might need to get some.
And I’m pretty sure if you were born in the 80s and grew up in the 90s it’s necessary to be a Mariah Carey fan.

MMm… coldstone….I love the strawberry shortcake but with sweet cream ice cream….so delicious. What am I loving today? That I’m not at work, that Spring Break began at 2:00 pm yesterday afternoon! Ahhhh 11 days of childless freedom! haha…..I am also enjoying pedicures and foot/leg massages. Ultimate bliss for the runner, or non runner, for anyone really. :-) Not a Mariah fan, well maybe of her old stuff. “Sweet sweet fantasy baby….” Love that your school has amazing salads- kinda jealous not gonna lie.

I always get exactly the same thing everytime I go to Coldstone- cake batter with snickers and brownies mixed in :) yum!!

I am LOVING that’s it’s Friday!

I used to always get the birthday cake remix at Coldstone! Now I usually make my own concoction of coffee yogurt + oreo + chocolate chips + almonds + hot fudge. Yumm :)

Pretty sure I spent much of my youth singing all of the Daydream album!

Hi Janae,
Thanks for sharing the article from RW. Always motivating when going through a hump during training.
Loving today: reading blogs and eating breakfast on bed (it’s saturday morning in New Zealand now).
Not a fan of Mimi, sorry :)
Have a great weekend, looking forward to your Sat running post!

I’m so jealous of your Coldstone gift card!! We just used up the last money on ours! My favorite is cake batter ice cream, mixed with brownie and cake pieces. Oh. my. goodness. It’s the best!

I love that I showed up at Disneyland today and realized that my pass was blocked out for the week. Ahhh! : ) But I do really love that I got to spend some much needed time with a cousin that I never get to see.
I haven’t been to coldstone in such a long time. Maybe I will drag my husband there this weekend. Don’t think he’d have a problem with that!

Reply

It’s crazy, but I’ve NEVER been to Coldstone. And I LOVE ice cream, so I’m not sure what’s wrong with me. I told my husband all I want for my next birthday dinner is Coldstone. Forget the food. I’m already excited!!

I’m loving the fact that if I decide to, I can stay in bed until noon tomorrow :) although I’ve probably jinxed it and will wake up at 7:30.

I love old school MC! Hero? Yes, please.

Reply

We are listening to a 90s music channel at work today – I’m loving the flashbacks to high school :)

Reply

That’s so funny! I was just listening to Mariah today and I was like oh my god-where have I been! Have a great weekend girl!

Reply

I think HERO is one of my all time favorite songs- my sister and I used to have singing “competitions” to Mariah Carey and make my brother tell us who was better…slightly competitive;)
We don’t have a cold stone around here anymore- but I loved cake batter. Today I am loving my new lulu outfit and I think I will be loving my new brooks pure flow sneaks!
Have a great night and a great long run tomorrow!!!

Reply

Ahhh I love ColdStone! I always get sweet cream with brownies, fudge, and sprinkles mixed in. Now I want some tonight!

Hello! Best friggin surprise find ever! I worked at Coldstone my Freshman year of college (surely it did not help me avoid the Freshman 15) and I think one of my faves was the lemon sorbet with strawberries. Mmmm. It’s like lemonade. Second – probably almost any flavor mixed with brownies :)

I love oriental salads and garden salsa sun chips are the best! Have you had them before?

Have fun on your long run tomorrow. I need to figure out my schedule so I won’t be doing mine in the treadmill either. It goes by sooo much faster outside!

Reply

Oh my goodness, I love Coldstone I haven’t been there in sooo long! I always use to get the sweet cream ice cream and mix oreo and resse’s cups, oh my yum yum yum!

Janae, I have been reading your blog for a long time, but I rarely comment (wish google reader made it easier!!). I just wanted to let you know that you are such a great role model! You have inspired me to stay on the road to recovery from disorder eating. Anytime I feel like I shouldn’t eat something, I always think “What would HRG do?” and then I eat it haha. Thank you so much for being YOU (i.e. AWESOME!)

Reply

MORGAN!! Thank you so much for your comment. You made my day. Congrats on working towards recovery and yes WWHRG do in the case of whether or not to eat something is a great tool to use:) Keep me updated with how you are doing and let me know if you need anything!

There is a tupperware container of cottage cheese and grapes in my work fridge that has been there for at least a week and I think of you every time I see it!

And today, I am loving that it’s “free cookie Friday” at my local Subway!

I just got my Runners World today and can’t wait to read it!

I’m still in the VERY early stages of trying to run … yet again. I <3 the quote under "Eye the Prize". I'm taping that to my treadmill!!! Very inspirational.

Reply

Today I am lovinggg my eats :D Eating everything I want and they taste so good…

Mariah Carey Christmas Album is my fave holiday album and I start listening to it the day after Thanksgiving :P

Reply

I love that I finished an 8 mile run today. I am SO sore, but that good kind of hurt.
I am a fan of any music from the 90s, I always listen to the 90s on 9 on the satellite radio. I listen to Beyonce or Gwen S. on Pandora.

Reply

I LOVE that last quote!! That is so true, if running were easy we wouldn’t do it…what would be the point! That is exactly what I needed to read today because this mornings run was HARD. It was just one of those off days that we all have. Enjoy your Cold Stone :)

Reply

my favorite Coldstone creation: sweet cream icecream with cookie dough mixed in. ahhh SO good! now i’m craving it!

Reply

I’m loving that my kids ate way too much chili. It’s hilarious. Wait, is that mean? ..No, it’s hilarious

Reply

You are so lucky that you live so close to your sister. I wish I lived closer to mine but they just won’t move out here! Lame ;)

My favorite thing today was my sandwich with fried egg, laughing cow cheese sprouts and tomato.

I don’t like cold stone :( Too creamy.

Mariah takes me back that is for sure. She is fun to listen to every once and a while.

Have fun on your long run tom. Mine is tom too, I am just hoping it doesn’t rain. If it does I guess I will go Sunday morning even tho I don’t usually run on Sundays. I always take pix with my instagram (edelweissnyc) when I am running. You should too! I follow you :) I hashtag running :))

Happy Running!

I always get the same thing at Coldstone. The Founder’s Favorite! Sweet Cream ice cream, pecan, brownie, fudge & caramel. Think I may need to go there tomorrow. Thanks!

I like some of Mariah’s songs…

Reply

Love Mariah. One of the songs on my running playlist is, “Who Run The World” by Beyonce. It seriously amps me up. I LOVE Beyonce.

I never had a good experience at Coldstone :(

Reply

I’m lovin’ Spring Break! My quarter just ended and my tough Bio instructor sent out the grades… A-!!! Honestly, I thought I would get right above a C, so I am super thrilled!
I’m loving the weather here in NorCal right now. It’s beautiful!

I’m loving the fact that it’s Friday! I also love Mariah Carey :)

Second–At cold stone I alwayyyyss get Cotton Candy ice cream with marshmallows and gummy bears….yes I know Im 25 and not 5 but it is AMMMAAZZZZING I swear :)

Reply

I’ m so bummed Coldstone got rid of their birthday club! It was one of the best things about my day to get FREE Coldstone. I love the cake batter but the Oreo is pretty tasty too.

I’m loving it’s Friday! Yoga in the morning to stretch out my tight hammie’s and then for a run.

Reply

I’m loving the beautiful Colorado weather and I’ve actually never been to Coldstone!

Reply

It makes me laugh that every time you get a salad you say it’s your favorite. But, I can see where you wouldn’t be able to choose…they all look delicious :) Nothings better then working out with your sister….with talking more then working out. I’ve done that a few times ;)

Reply

I haven’t ever had coldstone, do you think they would send me some? Ha!

I had the most awesome lazy evening watching movies with my hunny and our dog in front of the fire… Pretty much a perfect evening – so today I’m loving my life and that I get to have awesome people (and furry friend) to share it with. Sorry for the intense amount of mushiness, I’m just happy today! Plus, after a week of awful back spasms, I actually feel better and get to run tomorrow!

Cold stone- I always get something different. Last visit I got mint with skor bar (obsessed with those right now!) and chocolate chips. YUM.

Not a fan of Mariah Carey. She comes across as in love with herself and like she has some sense of entitlement… I’m not a fan! I’m not really into her music either. I know she’s talented, but I guess it’s not my type of music. To each his own though!

Reply

Oh I love me some Mariah Carey…her older stuff is the best! I forget about her sometimes too and Beyonce is amazing, her music is always great to jam out to!

Reply

The yogurt drink has a pretty bottle = tasty!
I always get the chocolatiest thing on the menu at Coldstone. I have been craving ice cream for a few days now…
I used to want to believe that I was going to be as talented as MC when I was a growing up. I knew ALL of her albums and knew every lyric to almost every song. I still pull them out on road trips and sing away with no shame and untinted windows!

Reply

I am loving sugar cookies with frosting and scary horror movies!

At ColdStone, I always get the Cookie Doughn’t You Want Some — cookie dough with magic loveliness mixed in. <3

LOVE LOVE LOVE Mariah Carey. When she comes on the radio, I tend to wail loudly, which is embarrassing when I am stopped at a red light with my window down. Somehow, I always forget that other people can hear me!

Hi, hope you get happier and have even more enjoyable times than this!
I love many things to do today. The most enjoyable things that I love to do today are: 1-Sending comments for your blog 2-Drinking Doogh(it’s a type of drink and I think it’s mostly similar to yoghurt drink.) 3-Running to the swimming pool 4-Trying to swim for 90 minutes 5-Sending comment for your blog again.
You see how important your blog is for me!! Have fun and take care.

I love Mariah!!! I listen to her while I’m at work to calm my nerves! :-)

wahh I hate that your cafeteria uses styrofoam containers :(
at least the salad looks good!

I am loving banana splits today- up until today, I hadn’t had one in so long that I can’t even remember when…and I’m talking the real deal…not the “let’s slice up a banana and top it with Vanilla Greek yogurt and call it a banana split”….it was HEAVENLY!

Reply

I am loving vanilla bean ice cream lately, topped w peanut M&Ms and/or snickers. And Ive been on a Pinot Noir-in-a big-fat-wine-glass kick in the evenings!

I am also loving that Ben comes home TOMORROW!!! It’s been 30 days or something crazy. We leave for Cape Town early Tuesday morning; the race is next Sat – Easter Eve.

Mariah Carey def reminds me of my childhood- I loved Mariah and Whitney Houston so much – their old school songs are the best.

And I LOVE the motivational quotes from RW!
Love you!!

Ive never been to coldstone before!!

Love those running quotes from Runner’s World – it’s making me want to go run NOW! It doesn’t help that it’s absolutely gorgeous outside.
Right now I’m loving the fact that my boyfriend is in town (he lives 4 hours away)!

Have a great weekend, Janae!

I forget a towel all the time so I just fknd thr only dry spot on my sweaty clothes and use that to dry off…maybe I just shouldn’t shower those days it seems kind of counterproductive to do it that way lol

Reply

I’m loving that it’s rainy out so I just get to lounge around and be lazy. Hope you’re having a great weekend Janae!

Reply

I saw those quote in RW, too. My swim coach in high school used to say “if it were easy, everyone would do it” – which is sort of the same thing, just the other way around :)

Reply

Yum, I love drinkable yogurts – Trader Joe’s has a few (I think, last I checked around here) that are tasty.
