I might have to say that today was the best day off of work that I have ever had. I started off the day by going to the gym thinking I would just be able to run 2 miles and then finish up with the elliptical. It turned out that today was one of those really good running days (after a few weeks of not so great runs) and I kept going until the treadmill stopped me.
I am a great daughter and made my mom drive with me up to Salt Lake so that we could go to the Cheesecake factory for lunch. Ever since I wrote a post about how my mom and I would go to the Cheesecake Factory to get strawberry shortcake together in Hawaii it is all I have been able to think about.
My Mom had the Greek Salad and I had the Luau Salad. These were the lunch portions….man, I love that place. Oh yeah and we also devoured that delicious brown bread that they bring out after you order.
All salads are clearly healthy and good for you especially when you add two large slabs of fried goodness to them;)
I had asked for the dressing on the side but the waitress forgot, I didn’t care one bit but she felt bad and hooked us up with a free dessert, the reason we drove 40 minutes north.
We split it and it was still a ton of food, coming from me that is saying a lot. Add this to my ‘cravings‘ list.
Then this happened:
I am not proud of myself. I have officially spent all of my birthday money but at least my feet will be set for a few months and now I have new some new shirts from H&M that will allow for stomach stretching. I need to get a second job.

Love just plain, simple new york style cheesecake. Usually, though, if I’m goigng all out on dessert, my ultimate favorite dessert is a warm, gooey brownie sundae. I would never pass that up for cheescake.

My parents and I are taking a family vacation to Hawaii in a couple of months and now all I can think about is going to get that dessert! It’s not like we don’t have Cheesecake Factory where I live, but something about vacation and calories not counting there makes me want to wait… tee he he. Looks delish!

I stopped in there once for a nice big piece of chocolatey cheesecake when I was pregnant and about died when the lady told me it was $8.50 for the slice. I didn’t want to pay that much but by that point I was committed. It was good.
Friday night plans – finally getting to see my husband after he has been gone for 2 long weeks. Would it be bad if he walked in the door and I handed him the baby and took off for a run?

I wish I went out for lunch! I love places like corner bakery cafe (so close to the cheesecake factory you were at) and paradise bakery. I live wraps, salads, sandwiches, etc or ‘chick food’ as my husband calls it.

I love a good cheesecake. Good though. None of this no bake nonsense. Key lime is one my faves.

I ate out for lunch yesterday – at Baja Fresh. And I was HUNGRY! Ate an entire burrito. YUM! I don’t usually eat out, so anywhere I go is exciting for me. A friend and I just tried Zupas for the first time last weekend – they’re new to AZ and I am so freakin’ excited we “discovered” it!!!!! I love getting a chocolate-covered strawberry with lunch!!!! My new #1 place!
I love all cheesecakes – as long as they don’t have nuts. It totally ruins it….
My Friday night plans are super exciting: laying on the couch to recover from all of the training I did while on spring break!!! Gotta get ready for long ride and run this weekend.

mmm i LOVE cheesecake factory. i think they need to build another one in utah county, don’t you think? i’ve never understood why they only have one location here. i actually do love their cheesecake though. my favorites are the adam’s peanut butter fudge ripple or the oreo one. your strawberry shortcake dessert looks amazing too!
our friday night plans include a whole lot of laziness! possibly some fro-yo and a movie, but that’s the extent of it. we’re both pooped!

Love the purple Toms and my daughter just got the Bimini’s in blue. I do not like cheasecake execpt for the PB one at Cheesacake Factory, we usually take it home and eat it later. Some of my favorite lunch spots are local, not chains La Poloma, mexican, Cabby Shack, seafood, British Beer Co, burgers.

Friday night is not looking too wild in our house hold at the moment……..Chris is in sweats and I am still wearing my high school spirit-wear. I think dinner might be subway, and I might order out of my norm just to give this night some pizazz. Oh……now that i think about it, maybe I’ll suggest getting a snickers blizzard because I have been craving one since you mentioned it.

I love the OG (Olive Garden). Unlimited bread sticks and salad will always win me over. My husband loves cheesecake and I think it’s okay, but it’s his go to dessert every time. My Friday night plans are cleaning my apartment and going to bed early for my 6:00 AM 16 mile run.
I am jealous of your TOMs! I really want to get a pair but I haven’t yet just because I feel like they are a little pricey. One day I will, maybe when my husband is finally out of school (which is in a month and a half!).

Stretchy shirts…that is cute! My best friend just delivered her little baby girl last night during the tornados in Michigan. The drs had to deliver the baby in the hallway of the hospital ! Such a crazy story but baby Eva is beautiful!

My treadmill stopped me today too! Its our home treadmill but it stops at 100 minutes! I was trying to get through a movie hence the long time spent.

I went to lunch with my parents at their favorite new bistro because they had gluten free bread for their sandwiches. Unfortunately their GF bread was dry and crumbly, so I just ate everything out of my sandwich with a fork while my parents talked about how great the bread on their sandwiches were… Thanks mom and dad, haha. And I’d go for fro yo over cheesecake any day! I’m actually not a big cheesecake fan.

I just got those exact same Toms this week!!! The burlap ones with the red strap! Our 1 1/2 year old daughter, Grace, has silver glitter Toms and these gray boots by Toms, too! My brother-in-law gets them all for us because he has a hook-up with the company. Gotta love that!! ps- We have a Cheesecake Factory about a mile away and go ALL. THE. TIME. Best part is that if there is a long line (like always) we can just go home until the time is up to get our table, haha:)
