The gym can wait……I had too much fun last night.

Many good things happened yesterday:  I was sore from a crazy good workout in the morning (isn’t that weird that I consider that so awesome to walk around like a 90 year old because every muscle in my body is still burning from who knows what our pump teacher had us doing), a salad that belongs on Man vs. Food, sugar shaped stars and a cheesy romance.

Now that the sun goes down at 4 pm I feel like I am eating dinner earlier and earlier.  It actually works out really nicely so that I can fit in that 4th meal of the day right before bed time.  I had my beautiful salad with the ‘wheat’ tortilla which clearly makes it healthy and free of lard.  Billy’s salad is about two inches shorter than mine because I always ask with puppy dog eyes for extra everything.

After dinner we headed on up to the movie theater to make sure we had good seats.  Yogurtland rented out a whole theater and that is how we got our tickets for free.  They also held a raffle (sister and I now have matching y-land shirts) and gave out coupons, Billy and I will just have to go there the second we both get out of school today because I can’t stop thinking about the deal we are going to get on our (my) favorite thing.

IMG 0720

I got to meet up with the amazing ELIZABETH and eat all of her candy.  How she guessed two of my favorite candies ever, I will never know….I think I only mentioned them once on the blog about a year ago.  To be honest, I was kind of bored during the movie because I really had no idea what was going on.  Plus, I think I ate too much candy (yes, that is indeed possible even for me) and so I felt a little sick and was kind of in my own little world.  Either way we did have a blast and Biily even stayed awake the whole time and didn’t play any games on his iphone during the movie.

IMG 0722

I also got to meet CHRISTINA, she won my ticket/y-land gift card!! She is due in February with her second little girl!! So exciting.

IMG 0723

I didn’t get into bed until WAY after my bed time.  You know what that means= sleeping in until 5 minutes before I am supposed to be to work and still making it on time. The gym will always be there for me when I am not so tired and sore.

PS we didn’t wear our vampire shirts yesterday because they did not fit because they were WAY too small (they only had one size left).

-The trailer gave me goosebumps and I loved the books so very much.

Do you eat dinner earlier now that it gets darker earlier?

What is YOUR workout today….I will live through you and your accomplishments;)

totally IN!! I bought my tickets to BD for tonight at 8:50!!!!

Reply

I loved all the H-game books except the last. I COULD NOT finish it. I’m not that excited to see that movie, but am PUMPED for Breaking Dawn.
I still eat dinner at the same time. I make myself even though I do get hungry earlier…mental. My hubs starts requesting dinner around 5:30 and is really pleasant to be around when I serve it around 7:30. Oh well! He knows where the kitchen is…
I ran 4 mi, taught spin, taught bootcamp, taught abs, and am now teaching high schoolers. Joy!

Reply

When are you going to see Breaking Dawn?!?! Um, I think you worked out enough for the both of us for the next week, YOU ARE INCREDIBLE!! Hope you have a great day teaching…it’s Friday!

Reply

Hopefully tonight!! My BFF (also a HS teacher) and I are leaving after work to spend a few days hitting up all the outlet malls along the FL panhandle. It’s our fav tradition and we get ALL our Xmas shopping done!! We plan to stop at a theatre and watch the movie sometime during our drive tonight. Imagine….you and your BFF, no sleep for 3 days b/c it’s a slumber party!, “taste-testing” every fro-yo shop in every city in FL, and countless outlet malls! HEAVEN!

Reply

Can I come?!?! Holy cow that sounds like the best weekend ever. Shopping, movies and froyo….dang I really want to go! Have so much fun.

Reply

You would fit right in w/ us!! The car is filled w/ bags (1/2 work-out clothes of course!) and our bodies are filled w/ sugar! ha!! Our school is closed all week next week. Hopefully you get a nice T-giving break as well!

Bah! I had so much fun last night!!! It was so fun to meet you.

I am going to go for a jog today if my calf/shin is feeling up to it :) and if it doesn’t storm. If it does, I might do TurboFire in the casa.

Reply

I LOVED meeting you and thanks for the treats:) I hope your calf is feeling better and I NEED to try turbo fire one of these days!

Reply

hahaha…i would seriously think that this movie would be hard to sit through unless you had read the books..in fact, for me, they are still hard to sit through even reading the books..i’m a glutton for punishment though ;)

YAY hunger games, i’m SO excited for the movie! the books were excellent.

I dance to the beat of my own drum and eat dinner at random times to be honest…nothing changes from season to season haha.

i’m working out AFTER work which i hate doing but its a necessity..sigh. i’m planning on an hour of elliptical and some weight training to round it out.

Reply

Hey…I might TRY to do the same workout as you today, want to just fly out to Utah and come work out with me…or you could in March for the Hunger Games:)

Reply

I can’t wait for Hunger Games!! I loved the books.
We have been eating dinner earlier most nights. It’s dark so early and we feel like going to bed earlier too. Maybe I’ll just start eating breakfast the night before. ;)
I’m going to get a run in today, but haven’t decided how far yet. Sometimes not having a training plan is a good thing.
Happy Friday, girl!

Reply

Maybe it is a good thing we are going to bed so early! I agree about not having a plan can really be a great thing!! Enjoy your run, whatever length it is:)

Reply

I had no idea they were making a Hunger Games movie!???? I loved the books so very much, now I can’t wait! :))
I did not have time to workout this morning (cough cough slept in because it’s the end of the week and I’m dead) so I’m hoping to do some Insanity after school!
have a great day!!!!!!

Reply

Oh Tori….the movie looks amazing! Here is the link to the trailer, you SHOULD watch it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fye5Nwe4qeI

Hope you are having a great day and enjoy your Insanity!

Reply

I devoured the Hunger Game books and did see the trailer. I am holding my breath until March. I just hope they do it justice.

I don’t eat any earlier than before the time change. Last night I even ate later. But it gave me weird dreams.

No workout today (maybe) unless I can count wearing shoes with heels.

The Kidless Kronicles

Reply

I know, I think it really will do the book justice even though nothing will ever compare to the book! Heels definitely counts as a workout!

Reply

Loved Hunger Games and even got my husband to read them. I am hoping to talk him into a midnight showing of it when it comes out!
I was up and out the door at 5 for 6 miles followed by upper body weights.
Move to Texas! It doesn’t get dark here until 6:30!

Reply

I am still trying to convince Billy that he will LOVE it….he doesn’t believe me! I want to go to the midnight showing too! GREAT WORKOUT!!! You are a rockstar. Texas sounds great to me!

Reply

Same story for me too this morning. I’ve been staying up waaaay late packing, and was too tired and sore to wake up for the run I was going to do. Oh well…my workouts all weekend will be moving our whole lives which I think counts!

CAN’T WAIT for hunger games! Glad you had so much fun last night! Cafe Rio salad looks AH-mazing right now!

Reply

Yep, I am definitely really sore from pump ha. Good luck with the move and that is an AWESOME workout!

Reply

never read the Hunger Games, but I agree, the movie seems soooo good! I might have to go see it, and maybe read the books beforehand.

Just saw a prescreening of a Week with Marilyn (the movie about Marilyn Monroe). It was reallllly good!

Reply

YES, read the books…they are incredible. Oh, I want to see the Marilyn movie SO SO BAD…must go!

Reply

I eat at about the same time because it is when we have time to eat! I have been eating maybe a bit earlier but not a huge difference. I did 30 minutes on the elliptical today and took a body works class. I’m sooo sore too, I’m going to be extra sore now! I’m thinking about reading the books because I heard hunger games was awesome!

Reply

What is a body works class? Is it like body pump? YES…read the books. I might read them again before the movie comes out because they are that good!

Reply

I’ve never taken body pump or at least I don’t remember! But I heard it uses the barbell? Body works is strength training with dumbbells. The instructors make up their own routine though so they don’t have to follow a set routine!

Reply

I want some of those sugar stars!!! They look so fun!! I try not to let the darkness fool me and still try to eat dinner around the same time! Haven’t worked out yet but I’ve got some strength training planned (chest and triceps) and for cardio I will probably see where my body takes me once I get to the gym!

Have an amazing day!!

Reply

What kind of cardio can you do with your foot? I should send you some of those sugar stars!

Reply

The elliptical feels okay! I’ve been doing the stairs a lot but I don’t think that’s a good idea anymore :(

PS – have you seen Julia yet? She has something for you :D

Reply

Oh. My. Goodness Iamsoexcitedforthehungergames!!!!!!!

Since it’s been gettings darker earlier I’ve been kind of not eating dinner because I feel like its almost bedtime at 4:30. It feels like its too late for dinner and so I’ve just been snacking.

Reply

Seriously, it is going to be amazing. I could actually really fall asleep at 4:30 ha! Hope you have an amazing weekend gorgeous girl!

Reply

Because I have been loving the weekend long run, I only work out 4 days a week in order to rest this body for its slow plod towards endophin delightfulness on Saturdays……..so no workout today here either …..woot.

I want to eat earlier but make a conscious choice not to because I find the couch WAY to easily after dinner……..so in order to stay productive I keep the din din time more around 7.

Reply

Erica, you are so smart about your running! You are a great example to me of how to stay injury free because you give your body the rest it needs!

Reply

I saw the Hunger Games trailer for the first time on Wednesday and am so pumped to see it. I can’t believe we have to wait 4 months until it’s out! Seriously?!

My workout today was 50 minutes on the elliptical. Tomorrow is a 10 miler (that’s long run status now that I’m pregnant).

Reply

How about we go together to see it:) Great job on your workout and you are a rockstar for doing a 10 miler when PREGNANT tomorrow!

Reply

I tried getting into the Hunger Games but I read right before bed and started having nightmares!

I did 45 minutes on the elliptical this morning. I was running every day but decided to start mixing it up with elliptical because running was starting to not be as “fun” for me. I count carrying my 7 month old around as an upper body workout because I HATE weights!

Reply

Yeah, I would have had nightmares too if I read it right before bed, it is SCARY! Good call on mixing things up and yes, having a 7 month old to run around with and pick up is definitely a workout!

Reply

Workouts def can wait after a long night filled with funsies, haha!

I totes agree about the sun going down = earlier, senior citizen, dinnertime! Lately, my tummy has been starting to rumble during my workouts (have to go after school) so I am ravenous by the time I get home!

I’m thinking of a lighter workout today, a treat to myself, c’mon it’s FRIDAY :D

Reply

Senior citizen dinnertime…you are hilarious! Agreed with the lighter workout today! Have a great weekend Allison!

Reply

My workout is swimming. Just diagnosed with a stress fracture yesterday :( I’m being a big baby over missing my upcoming races.

I haven’t read the Hunger Games series. Maybe I’ll start that tonight while I’m feeling sorry for myself!

Reply

Oh APRIL!!! I am so so sorry about your stress fracture, that breaks my heart! You be a baby over it (I did) because it is really difficult. Where is your stress fracture. Yes, start tonight…it will distract you!

Reply

My lower leg. It is so frustrating because i was trying to do everything right (slow increase im mileage, only running 3 times a wk and cross-training) after a string of injuries.

I remember reading about yours but how long were you out? Oh and I glared at everyone running this morning, I’m that much of a baby.

Reply

Oh girl…I am so sorry! I was out with my stress fracture for about 3 months and then kept trying to increase my mileage so fast and then end up getting hurt again! Keep me updated on how you are doing and if you ever need to vent…EMAIL ME!

Reply

I LOVED Hunger Games. Great book and based on the trailer, the movie just might do it justice. You should read “Divergent” by Veronica Roth if you enjoy dystopian Hunger Games-esque books. Divergent is the first book of a (planned) trilogy. My sister-in-law is obsessed with Twilight and bought tickets months ago so I going to see it tonight.

Reply

Have fun at the movie! Thank you so much for the book recommendation, I am always looking for new things to read! I will be ordering it tonight! Have an amazing weekend!

Reply

Aw MAN! I was really hoping to see some vampire-shirt action! hahaha So glad you had a fun night… I’ve only been to ONE midnight showing of something, but I can’t even remember what it was. Obviously it was life-changing.

Reply

Ohh, I don’t know where you get those salads from but I wish there was one where I live. I want one!!

Reply

I LOVE THE HUNGER GAMES! I was very skeptical of how they would do the movie, but so far, I am very impressed by the trailer!

I’m not surprised you were bored during Breaking Dawn, those movies are pretty bad! And I liked most of the books too!

Workout will be crosstraining today. I ran 6 miles on monday (first time EVER!) and my body is still recovering :)

Reply

CONGRATS ON YOUR 6 MILES….you are absolutely incredible!! Way to go! I know…the trailer really does look amazing!

Reply

If the Hunger Games is scary, I will not be reading or watching it. I still have nightmares from seeing the Excorcist when I was 5. (I am the 8th child and my parents didn’t care about censoring what I watched.) No workout for me- I am babysitting my beautiful niece!

Reply

Yeah….I would still be scared too! Have an amazing time babysitting your niece tonight, that is the best!

Reply

Hey you….your comment was genius! I am excited to try to mix the Gu /w water :) also, I am dying to have your hair…does that make me creepy? I apologize b/c I actually get jealous and mad when people try to copy me and I just want “the janae hair” lol :P

I haven’t worked out yet but tonight it’ll just be a no-time slow fun run /w the dog :)

and I was gonna say in the previous post that those vamp shirts looked like they were made for a baby ;) hahaha

Reply

You are way too nice….all you have to do is never wash it and use lots of hairspray:) Have an amazing run with your dog tonight (ps so jealous of your dog) and let me know what you think of the gu combo!

Reply

Sounds like fun!!! I cannot WAIT for the hunger games to come out! The books were awesome!

Reply

Janae!! so I am pretty much famous now since I was on your blog!! But it was so fun to meet you last night! Does your husband or sister get sick of people doing that? because I am sure that happens to you a ton! Anyway, thanks again! and I really think you are the nicest person alive!! Lets do yogurtland sometime!!

Reply

Ha yeah right!! You are so sweet and I loved meeting you and you are the cutest little pregnant girl in the world. YOGURTLAND ANYTIME!!

Reply

You had me at Hunger Games. I even have my hubby interested in reading them. The trailer makes me SUPER excited for the movie. Katniss Everdeen is a stud!!! Love that the main character is a strong female.
So, the movie????

Reply

That looks like a blast!!! Wish I was there! And the sun goes down at 4 there?! Chikes!! I thought 5 pm was bad!

Reply

Your hair has been looking amazing lately

Reply

Wow! Thanks Anna, I really appreciate that!

Reply

I need to read the books first! Everyone loves them!
I’ll be running and going to bed early tonight! This week was tiring!

Reply

So glad you mentioned the most important thing about going to the movies… CANDY!! I need to make sure hubby and I go get some before we see this movie tomorrow :) I am also getting buttery fatty popcorn goodness! I am on day 5 of working out at work and that is actually my 6th workout this week since I doubled up on Wednesday so if I get in a 5k tomorrow I will tell myself I deserve that death by popcorn, hehe.

Hunger games – love them!! I have all 3 in hardback and on my kindle and am rereading them for SURE before the movie comes out – loved the trailer!!

Reply

The early dinner bug hasn’t hit me yet this year but last winter, I got in the habit of eating dinner around 4:30 on a regular basis. My mom said I was the princess of the early bird special!

Reply

CANNOT wait for Hunger Games!! I LOVE the books!!!
So glad you had a fun night :D & that is pretty awesome that yogurtland bought the theater out to see the movie- you MUST be their #1 customer…so they had better give you some tickets to the movie :)
TGIF!!!

Reply

I kinda wondered if you’d be lost in the movie w/out any background on it… sounds like you had fun, though. I read a review that it was pretty steamy… guess my 13-yr-old will have to wait until she’s 18 & out of the house to see it :{ (j/k- just 17).

Can’t wait for Hunger Games!!!

Reply

The hunger games trailer looks sooooo good!

My workout was a fun tapery 3 mile run with the pup on a day off from work. Win win win!

Reply

Day light savings screws up your kids schedules. My kids are whining for dinner at 4PM. If I give them a snack, they just want to snack until dinner is done and then they don’t want dinner. Boo! We usually eat at 6PM.

I watched the new Hunger Games trailer a few days back and I seriously had goosebumps! I love those books. Perhaps a little too much. Meh. I thought they did a great job with the casting as well.

Today I did 25 min. on the elliptcal before spin class, then spin, then weights – chest and back. Hoping it will cancel out the oreo ice cream I just ate??

Reply

Sorry! Today I’m not working out – still sick to my stomach over the whole possum thing. There’s always tomorrow. Aaron has to work tomorrow morning, so I plan on getting a nice LONG run in while he’s out!

Reply

I love the Hunger Games and the trailer makes the movie look AMAZING!! I can’t wait. March cannot come soon enough. I will definitely be one of those “tributes” watching the midnight showing! & I loooooove that Woody Harrelson is Haymitch!!

Reply

I saw the hunger games trailer and literally squealed with excitement! and sorry, no workout for me today – it’s my rest day! 10 miles tomorrow!

Reply

Yes that movie was extremely boring but the book was too. This was actually the best Twilight movie yet as far as the acting, so basically I don’t really think you need to waste your time to see the others haha. I just wrote a little post on the movie on my blog :). But hey, the movie was worth a few good laughs (on parts which I know where not suppose to be funny) and its always fun to go out!

Hunger Games looks AMAZING! Can’t wait!

Reply

I saw the trailer for The Hunger Games and can’t wait to see it!! I ready the books, but I actually enjoyed the Twilight books better than The Hunger Games. I’m planning on seeing Breaking Dawn soon!

Reply

I still need to read The Hunger Games before the movie comes out in March. The trailer looked good. Breaking Dawn was sooo good :)

Reply

Loved Breaking Dawn! Saw it last night with my girlfriends! Bloody Mary’s before hand fo’ sho’!!!! Saw the trailer for Hunger Games- can’t wait, although the trailer wasn’t what my mind saw when I read the books!
Went for a nice 5 miler this morning in the Green Mountain State with Mr. MapleMan- my 2 year old golden doodle!

Reply

Oh The Hunger Games trailer looks amazing! I have read all the books and they were awesome so I can’t wait for the movie!

Reply

So jealous you saw Twilight! Im going tomorrow tho, so jealousy wont last too long. And you look super beautiful as always. Stop.. its not fair to the rest of the population!

Hello! I could have sworn I’ve visited this blog before but after going throug some off the articles I
