The Day in Bullets.

-Get out of school and drive to the dentists to get a crown on my tooth after my root canal a few weeks ago.

-Kick back with some bubble gum scented laughing gas while watching E True Hollywood Story, Kate and Pippa (the tv is on the ceiling at my dentists office).  I feel like Kate and I really are best friends now that I know her whole story.  What would I do without E Network?

-Go to the bathroom after the dentist is all done repairing my mouth to take a picture of my puffy, numb face because I know you really wanted to see it.  It was really awkward when someone walked in as I was taking the first picture.  My job in life is to help people realize they are normal compared to me.

Photo 6 copy

-Find out that a crown on my tooth costs more than my yearly budget for frozen yogurt….I know, how rude of them.  Maybe cutting back my budget for fro yo will prevent another crown from ever being needed….interesting cycle.

-Make my lunch.  I am very OCD about this.  Heaven forbid I don’t have all of my food ready for the next day.

-Clean the house top to bottom while listening to Felicity via Netflix.

-Make a fancy dinner of Creamy Potato soup (with broccoli) and a whole wheat pita.

IMG 0197

-Ate my dinner, did my dishes and enjoyed my dessert while Billy was still eating his dinner.   Once that mouth was denumbified I was READY to eat.  We are definitely couch/cofee table eaters.

IMG 0203

It is the end of the term at school today and somehow this week I have received a lot of candy with students late work….I wonder why?

——————————————————————–

What are some of your bullets from LAST NIGHT?

We just bought a bunch of pitas….any recommendations of things to eat them with or how to prepare an awesome pita based meal?

What was the last show you watched?

-Felicity and E True Hollywood story.  I need to catch up on Modern Family ASAP…..have the last two episodes been good?

Felicity is SO good!! Man – loving that it’s on Netflix now!
I used to think that Ben was awesome, but watching it now at 29, Noel was the best guy for sure.

Supppppperrrrr exciting, I know. :) I can’t wait to watch at least one show this weekend. School is consuming my love for reality TV!

I have ZERO shame when it comes to a pita. I will put anything inside of it, including a hot dog with mustard. I eat those fun little wheat things almost every day. I even lather them up with peanut butter and honey.

As far as TV shows go, I’m watching way too many. Survivor, BLoser, Modern Family. Yeah, Modern Family would have to be my favorite I think!

Reply

A hot dog pita sounds INCREDIBLE!!! PB and honey…yes please!

Make a pita pizza! So easy and just as delicious as the real thing :)

I am watching Felicity via Netflix right this very minute! I’m addicted to it pretty much. I love that show.

As for pita meal ideas… you could make them into mini pizzas; quesadillas; veggie/hummus wraps; PB&J?? ;)

You can make pita pizzas. Just use the pita as the crust, or you can shove all the pizza toppings inside the pita.

And I sort of watched Dance Moms yesterday, but it was just a recap of the craziest moments of the season, so I didn’t really pay attention. Last show I actually paid attention to was The Lying Games. And I was extremely disheartened to find out the House came on later than it’s scheduled time, so it didn’t record on my DVR =( And my internet is too slow to watch it online.

Reply

Boo to the irritating people. CONGRATS ON THE FIVE MILES. I feel your pain, mileage makes me feel exhausted right now because I am just coming back. I have never heard of Dance Moms, I can’t wait to watch it!

Reply

Oh my gosh, it is the craziest show! The moms are the biggest drama queens, but the kids can be pretty darn bratty, too. Well, mainly a certain one, Maddie. It’s on Lifetime. They just finished the first season, but it’s not really something you have to watch from the beginning to know what’s going on.

And you’re doing great on coming back to running! I’m hoping to be up to 10 miles here pretty soon, as I have a half marathon on November 6 that I DO NOT want to miss! Are you doing the full in NYC?

Reply

Yay for pitas, I love them!! I love to make pita chips. You just cut them and put an olive oil, parsley, basil, garlic mixture on top and bake them in a 400 degree oven for like 5 minutes and they’re done.
Have them with hummus and it’s heaven. I also like to make pita pockets. Cut them in half and stuff turkey, lettuce, tomato, anything else you want inside :D
The last show I watched was grey’s anatomy last night. Hope your tooth & face feels better!

The best receipe with a peeta is you put some chicken and cheese on the pita, and put it in the oven just until the chesse melts then you take it out, and put lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado with a tiny bit of mayo, and it becomes the california club pizza from california pizza kitchen- and its way yummy : )

Last show watched was Pan-AM! I love it!

-went to bed too late

Reply

Hope you catch up on sleep this weekend. YAY for the bf bringing you dinner. Why was the gym so bad…were you just not in the mood?

Reply

I just wasn’t in the mood. Mid distances in the middle of the week are lame but necessary. My BF was great because he helped motivate me by yelling that he doesn’t get up early on the weekends to drive me to races for me to quit or start to slack off now!

Reply

– start packing for Trans Atlantic Cruise

Glad your mouth is all fixed… i hate the dentist…really…hate.

If you haven’t tried falafel in a pita, I highly recommend it, with tzatziki sauce!

I watched the latest “Ringer” and “Dance Moms” last night. Class class class.

Modern Family is hilarious. The episode from 2 weeks ago made my cry I laughed so hard. Mitch and Cam go on a juice fast and craziness follows. Amazing!

Reply

LAST NIGHT – Grey’s Anatomy, made tiny ghosts to hang from lights in kitchen, made Halloween/Thanksgiving glass container things that smell like fresh cinnamon sticks, stayed up far too late and ran to work this morning TGIF.

Pitas — my BF’s mom makes Pita sloppy joes which are pretty good! and not as sloppy as a regular sloppy joe… so maybe a Pocket Joe?

Grey’s Anatomy/Private Practice with my sis :)

Reply

We watched Modern Family and The Office last night. There was some definite LOLing.
Football practice – the weather here is perfect so I love sitting and watching my son’s team.

Love your dress in the picture. You are just gorgeous puffy cheeks or not. :)

Grilled chicken with pesto sauce.
Mediterranean style chicken (chicken, lettuce, peppers, hummus/tzaziki, garlic sauce, etc)
Pita pizzas! (these are my favourite)

I like to tear up pitas, toss them in olive oil and put them on top of casseroles for the last 10-15 minutes. They’re especially good for a crunch on spinach artichoke baked mac n cheese.

I’m currently looking for healthy places to eat there and will let you know if you’re interested.

Oh man sorry about the dentist visit, I just went the other day and they said I had a freakin cavity and I need a fill in and it’s gonna cost me $88, I mean dang am I made of money lol

Reply

Best thing ever: hot, hopefully slightly crispy pitas, filled with rare steak strips, blue cheese, red onions, spinach, avocados, and nice tomatoes. If you have fresh basil throw that in too and grind pepper all over it. Yum!

Reply

cutting into your froyo budget?!? wow. serious rudeness right there. :(

Pitas are AWESOME! you can stuff them full of things – do you guys like falafel? I know you can buy box mixes of it, and costco probably has pre-made falafels…just heat them up, cut them so they fit in the pita, add some tomatoes and spinach aand plain yogurt = home made greek food woooot!
