Something Borrowed and A New Way to Bake Bread

Is it weird that we requested our breadtwists to be barely cooked?  Good I didn’t think so, who doesn’t enjoy dough smothered in butter and garlic.  The only problem was we think the dough expanded and baked in our stomachs and may have seeped into other internal organs.

Is it weird that you chose to go to the exact same restaurant for the second time this week and the fact that you could probably eat it everyday for the next year and never get sick of it?

Last night the sis and I had a date.  We went to an awesome Woman’s Conference and no evening is complete in our minds without eating our favorite foods together while laughing about how the tables next to us must think that we haven’t eaten all day according to our plate size.

Whose salad mountain is bigger?  Thats what I thought.

IMG 9901

Try cottage cheese on your salads and always, I mean always dip your warm doughy breadsticks in ranch.

It sure looks like I am advertising for Pizza Factory with the way my cup is placed.  But no, they turned down my offer to write a review for them in exchange for all-I-can-eat salad.  Something about my salad eating talents would put them out of business.

My sister is using her arm as a guard rail so that no toppings roll off of her plate and out of reach.

Heaven forbid I stay in a dress for longer than 2 hours……pj’s (also, to accomadate the loaf of bread baking in my stomach) and a redbox (Something Borrowed) was necessary.  I think my sister may be mocking me…..that facial expression of hers looks a little familiar and the dinosaur shirt has made another appearance!

Billy even joined us for the chick flick showing……..he is a good sport.  I think it may make up for the fact that I have endured 6 seasons of 24 with him.  Now to just get him to watch Prom with me or Cinderella Story (the one with Hillary Duff).

——————————————————————————

What was the last great chick flick you watched?  DId you see Something Borrowed?  What did you think?

-I really liked it and Billy even did too.

Do you look more like your Mom or your Dad?  Do you look like your siblings?

-I think that I look more like my Mom and I look a lil like the sister and a lot like one of my brothers (the one 5 years older than me).

I am starting a petition that requires all places of buisness/schools/households to allow employees/students/mothers a 3-day weekend…..who will sign for that?  Would you rather have a 3 day weekend of Friday, Saturday and Sunday or Saturday, Sunday and Monday?

-Saturday, Sunday and Monday for rizzle.

Holy breadstick! That is seriously the biggest breadstick I’ve ever seen … Can I have a bite???

I saw Something Borrowed too, but I got so frustrated at the main character and the hot guy. The whole time I was like, ARE YOU KIDDING??? JUST END IT OR TELL YOUR FRIEND!

I haven’t seen that movie but I’ve heard it’s awesome!! Did you like it? My next movie I want to see is Bridesmaids! I’ve heard it’s a RIOT.

I want those jumbo breadsticks so dang bad. They look so doughy and buttery and now that you’ve planted the idea of dipping them into ranch in my head, well, it’s inevitable that I’ll be heading to the nearest italian restaurant to try and find something semi similar. Yummo.

I look alot like my dad actually! Haha I have not watched a good chick filk in forever :)

I am still looking for a good place in Richmond VA with an awesome salad bar!!!! Your salad looks delicious, as always.

Oh man, I wish there were a really good salad place here. Oh well… we go grocery shopping this week… I’ll just have to stock up on all sorts of tasty salad ingredients because now I am super craving salad!!

Geez..I’ve never been to a Pizza Factory, sounds (and looks) awesome! They should totally hire you!!

Last chick flick was probably Crazy Stupid Love. It was GOOD! I didn’t see Something Borrowed but I read the book.
I look like my Mom but my sister and I look a lot alike.
I would take Fri-Sat-Sun. Thanks for leading the charge!

I, honestly, can’t really remember the last chick flick I watched… I think the last 3 movies I watched were Juno, Red Riding Hood, and Battle: Los Angeles.

I also am not sure which parent I look the most like. I do look a lot like my mom, but I also hear a lot that I look like my dad and I also have a lot of the same mannerisms (I guess that would be the word) as him, like the way I stand and things like that. I used to look almost exactly like one of my paternal cousins when she was little. Sure wish I still looked like her now!

And I’d so rather have Saturday, Sunday, Monday off. Although Sunday, Monday, Tuesday might be even better, simply because the massage therapist whom I really like works on Tuesdays, but not on Mondays.

I LOVE chick flicks!! I haven’t seen Something Borrowed, but I really enjoyed the series of books. I saw Crazy, Stupid, Love in theaters and it was so adorable :)

I’ve been told that I’m literally an exact split between my two parents. Good thing I know I’m really their child! lol

Mmm Pizza Factory again – GREAT choice! :)
The last great chick flick I watched was, in fact, Something Borrowed! I enjoyed it – it was cute.
I look more like my mom I guess… People say we look SO much alike, and we see it a bit, but not as much as people say.
I’ve always believed in a 3 day weekend! One day for work/chores; one day for play; one day for rest – perfect!

Haven’t seen something borrowed but plan to soon. So many people have commented on how much they love it. Last chick flick I wayched was Dear John. I liked it but the book was way better. I look almost identical to my mom. My sister & I don’t look anything alike. Btw, I would gladly sign your petition.

A Cinderella Story with Hilary Duff is hands-down my favorite movie! I couldn’t even guess how many times I’ve watched it. Between that and the Holiday, I’m set for life. Just give me a DVD player and those two movies. haha

Those salads look crazy good! I love cottage cheese on my salad–and salsa, too!

Ooo I will be going to rent Something Borrowed soon! I’ve been meaning to pick that up but now that you said it is good, I’ll have to check it out!

I look most like my dad and don’t look anything like my sibling. I think I look most like my grandma though!

I’d LOVE having every Monday off–that way you still get the whole “yay, it’s friday feeling at work” but then get an extra day off!

PS Andy and I love watching 24!

Reply

I’m with you on enduring 24! That show makes me angry, anxious and annoyed. I’m not sure why but after 2 seasons, I’m done!
I resemble my dad more than my mom and I definitely acquired his personality traits over my moms.

Reply

yumm looks so good and you and your sister are so so cuteee!! and I LOVED something borrowed…welll for the most parts other parts i was yelling at the movie..and no i am not lying
i lovee Cinderella story with hilary best one everrr it my go to movie that always cheers me upp<3

last chick flick- Crazy Stupid Love which was hilarious! I saw Something Borrowed, but Kate Hudson drove me crazy so I didn’t really like it

I already get 3-4 day weekends, but I would love more people to be able to share them with me :)

I’m glad you had a fun sister date! I look alot like my mom and my middle sister…my sister and I look so much alike that we always get asked if we’re twins

I liked Something Borrowed more than I expected to. It was cute.
I look almost exactly like my dad! And how good was Pres. Uchtdorf’s talk? Loved it!

Oh my goodness! It was incredible!!! Wow! He is also hilarious:)

p.s. I don’t know how you do it…you make me crave salad and i’m not even a salad girl!

LOVE YOU!!!!!!

Oh my goodness!!!!! Girl!!!!! This absolutely made my day!!! What part of az? I really might be able to!

ARE YOU SERIOUS?!! It will be in Tempe!! 5 mins from the airport….and close to Mesa!! :) Is that where your brother lives?

Love cottage cheese on my salads!! So good. I can’t remember the last chick flick I watched ahh. But I do know that I am super excited for Breaking Dawn :D
I already have a 3 day weekend of Friday Saturday and Sunday and I love it. Yay for college!

I loved Something Borrowed! I watched Bridesmaids last night for the second time. It is hilarious!!

Ok, so I am convinced Utah is hogging all the good restaurant chains! I will just have to come visit and bring a big cooler for food to take back! ;)

Reply

My husband is a total artsy/independent movie buff, but he gets such a kick out of Cinderella Story. He thinks it horribly hilarious and can even quote the “waiting for you is like waiting for rain in this drought” speech verbatim. I’m so proud… or something…

Reply

Something Borrowed had to grow on me….I wasn’t such a fan of the cheating thing. I wish movies would stop romanticizing that :( however I’m one of the weirdos that thinks John Krasinski is hotttttt!!! So there you go! Did sis get a haircut….looks shorter, could be the layers though….

Reply

Umm I believe passionately in a 4 day work week and I talk about this all. the. time. I would happily work longer hours if I could have every Friday off! I would be so much more productive, energized, motivated, a better person, etc. etc. Can we make this a federal thing, not just a state thing?!?

Also WOO HOO for running outside!!! It is beautiful here so I am about to do the saaame!

Reply

I think it’s necessary at this point for me to venture to Utah. Can you be my personal meal preparer for uhh the rest of my life? That would be great, thanks!

Reply

Did you read the book for Something Borrowed? I liked the book much better than the movie… but that always happens to me when I read and then watch! It was still cute though. And I would def rather have Sat, Sun, Mon weekend because I feel like people are more apt to be lax on Fridays in the office I work than on Mondays :)

Reply

Oooh. I read that book. I’m curious about the movie.

I’m identical to every member of my family. Seriously.

Last chick flick? Bridesmaids. Hil-arious.

Reply

People always say I look SOOOOOO much like my mom, until they see me with my dad, and then they say I look SOOOOO much like him. Which is weird, because they don’t look alike at all.

Reply

That breadstick is HUGE! I bet it was delish! Women’s conference rocked—me and my mom went to Yogurtland afterward, SO yumm. I really liked it!

I saw Something Borrowed and thought it was okay, but the book was SO much better (duh!)

Reply

I liked Something Borrowed although it was a tough sell for me. It’s hard rooting for romantic leads that are essentially being awful people!!

I look just like my Dad (and so does my brother.) People comment on it all the time when we’re in public!

Reply

AGREED. I liked it but I definitely didn’t agree with what they did ya know…it was tough to like it!

Reply

Um, I love the 3 day weekend idea!! I would vote for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday … but I’m not really sure why haha! Actually, I would LOVE to be able to work part time. A school psych friend of mine works every day until 12:00 and another works just Monday, Wednesday, and Friday … that would be SO ideal! ;)

Seriously, you have to stop posting things from The Pizza Factory! I am a Utah county girl living in Dallas for the last 7 years and my ALL TIME favorite thing in the world is Breadtwist and ranch from PF. I almost ate nothing but breadtwist while visiting this last summer…and tried so hard to re-create when I got home. Fail. I may be arranging a trip home soon;)

Reply

Those breadtwists look so good and that’s just genius asking for them to be undercooked. Doughy bread is the best.

I don’t think I look like either my mom or dad, but I really look like my brother. He’s only 11 months younger and people always thought we were twins growing up.

Reply

I haven’t seen Something Borrowed yet, but I really want to. Tonight’s movie pick is XMen First Class…not exactly a chick flick, but it’ll be good.

I don’t look like either of my parents, but people always ask if my sister and I are twins.

Just had to share…my 7yr old (today is his 7th birthday) was sitting with me as i was reading your post and looking at your salad mountian..he said “oh my is she on Man vs. Food?” lol he saw that show one time and cannot stop talking about it!!! love your post!

Reply

I could definitely eat 17 of those breadsticks, Absolute GENIUS asking for them to be undercooked!! WHY HAVE I NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT?!!!

When I wear glasses, everyone says I look just like my dad. When I have my contacts in, people think I look more like mum. Two of my siblings I look NOTHING like, but my other brother and I look pretty similar…………except I’m more attractive ;)

Reply

I just saw “I Don’t Know How She Does It” with Sarah Jessica Parker on Fri and LOVED it…although I am easily pleased by just about any chick flick, including Something Borrowed – it was good!

Reviews are mixed on who I look like, but I don’t look anything like either of my brothers!

And, as a school psych, I would LOVE a 3-day weekend!

And, last one, doughy bread ROCKS!

Reply

I agree with you guys about the doughy bread. It’s the only reason to get breadsticks, right? Bread babies in the stomach are just a side effect I can deal with.

Reply

sat, sun, mon for sure! mondays are really no fun. at all. (can you tell i’m fighting off the sunday night blues?)
we siblings all look a lot alike, but i’m not totally sure which parent we look like…i think a good mix of both?

Reply

I actually hated Something Borrowed. I could never do that to my best friend regardless of how horrible she was…anyway, I couldn’t get past the premise of cheating etc. to actually enjoy the movie. It just left me depressed. I also watched it with my best friend and felt weird about it the whole time.

Reply

YUM. I love massive salads with all sorts of yummy add-ins! They add so much flavor and different textures!

I read Something Borrowed (DO IT) and I absolutely LOVED it. So, when I watched the movie I was kind of disappointed… but I think that’s pretty standard! Glad you liked it though :)

Reply

First, I’m now craving Pizza Factory and it’s only 9:45 in the morning. Awesome.

Second, I loved the book Something Borrowed but haven’t seen the movie. I don’t even remember the last chick flick I watched. Last night I was talking to my old college roommate and we were trying to decide whether or not Mean Girls was a chick flick and we concluded that it wasn’t really. We believe it’s universally funny and relateable.

I look so much like my mom.

Also, where do I sign for the three day weekend? I’m all about that biz. I vote for Saturday, Sunday, Monday because it works better for long runs because you can do your long run Saturday, rest Monday and then run again on Monday!

Reply

Funny! I watched that this weekend too. what did you think of it? I was so so on it! I love kate hudson but am sad her part was the “not as lovable one” this time

Reply

I love your salad mountains and I vote yes on Mondays off!

Reply

wait….ok, I liked that movie too……..but isn’t it so messed up!??! I can’t believe people can be that selfish! I really had a problem with it, and I feel like i need to discuss it with EVERYONE because I feel so strongly! haha! I just hope people in the world can be nicer to their FRIENDS!!!
