I know I promised no more sweaty pictures but I tried covering up most of it with my shoes.
You know when someone goes to give you a hug after a race or a tough workout and you feel REALLY bad because little do they know they are about to be covered in my sweat…….. everyone knows now to just give me an air hug or just pretend that you are touching me.
Spin was the best class yet of my California experience this summer:
1. My SIL came with me and I LOVE to have a spin buddy.
2. There weren’t as many people in spin today leaving a little bit of air for me to breath.
3. They brought my SPIN shoes that I forgot at home. I have been doing spin with my running shoes and it makes the BIGGEST difference to have cycling shoes. (You can find the one’s I have on my gear page). I would recommend them if you really want to get into spin….but if you don’t really care and don’t go all the time than sticking to your regular shoes is still AWESOME!!
After spin we did two miles on the good ol’ treadmill. They were slow but between the endorphins, pumping my arms and watching The Kardashians I was in complete heaven!

I had planned to go to yoga this evening but am feeling sick so I don’t know what my workout will be. But tomorrow morning I have a gym date with the boyfriend!! He said he doubts my dedication to the gym and doesn’t believe I will wake him up to go to the gym! We will see what happens when I do!!

ugh – i missed spin class today :( and I was going to go to a yoga class, but then my roommates talked me into going out with them after work because we havent been out the three of us in months!
So today is an official rest day!
I LOVE my spin shoes. I wish I could walk around in them all the time.. okay maybe not all the time since they are incredibly stiff and uncomfortable but I love them for spin :)
Today my workout was taking the spoon from the cereal bowl into my mouth… Rest days are the best :D

Upper body weight circuit – one of my girlfriends that lifts regularly is going to walk me through her routine.
3 miles on TM – Slow, I think my quads are about to leave my body, they scream when I walk upstairs.
My Garmin is my life, I can’t run outside without it! I love the discovery of Saucony Kinvara’s too – they’re my favorite shoes. I’m on my 2nd pair!
I have to agree about the Garmin. Mine looked like it was fried this week and I actually cried a little.
Congrats on your return to running. Remember, short slow runs are better than no runs at all :)

My garmin completely changed my workouts. It’s great having so much information at my fingertips. A cute new running top always boosts my workout too. It’s a confidence thing I’m sure :)

Yep!!! Just make sure that your clips are the same as your gyms bike…. Does that make sense?

OMG, if I forget my spin shoes, I won’t even go. It’s miserable without them. I kicked endurance spin’s class butt today and sweated out enough to form a small ocean.
I tried my first spin class last night (since I can’t run for a while!) and LOVED it. I did feel a little out of place with my running shoes while everyone else had spin shoes- we’ll see if I get that hard core :)
I love my garmin- am in love with it. Maybe to the point of awkward. Sometimes I just want to wear it everywhere I go…

Awesome! I love going to classes with other people… yay for SIL soin buddies and awesome workouts! :-P and for 2 mile treadmill runs…woop woop! I think that fitness magazines like oxygen really help me get the most from my workouts, cause I use them for ideas all the time…and their kind of an accessory cause I tote them with me, lol! ;-) yoga blocks are wicked for making certain poses more efficient…try doing camel with one between your thighs! (sounds a bit dodgy, lol!) its not! my workout today was a full body strength session, with 100 squats…im sore! :-D xyx
My hip has been bothering me so I went to water running. Great workout but I hate feeling like I am running but not actually getting anywhere. A few of the little old ladies in class were gabbing away and not actually moving so it made it a bit difficult. The hardcore little old ladies “ran circles” around me.

I think my Garmin is my only “real” gear but I love that thing so much. I definitely don’t think I’d push myself as hard each run without it.
I did spin today too! Then I had to wash my hair, which is the downfall of doing spin.

I used my clip in shoes on my road bike for the first time in almost a year the other day. I fell over in my driveway, still attached to my bike.
Guess wearing them for spin class doesn’t really help with the whole balance thing.
Cycling shoes? hmmmm… I am resisting because I’m stubborn and cheap :P
But it is awesome to have the gear you like when you work out :)

When I’m running my long runs, I do it for disatnce, not so much time. But my mid week runs I try to do some speed workouts so that I can work on my time.Great job on the training!!
I just got cycling shoes and clip in pedals for my bike – LOVE! After a super hot half marathon last weekend I took a hilarious pic where I am trying to hug my hubby and friend and they are like – get your nasty sweaty self away from me. Except it wasn’t posed, that’s really what happened. My Garmin helps so much, so does my camelbak! Thursday my workout was a 6 mile tempo run, and Bikram yoga, so so hard. Nice job at spin! It’s awesome that your in laws are into fitness too.
I actually like that you post those pics because I sweat so bad when I work out and I always feel like the only one.. now I know I’m not alone :)
I started new migraine meds and can’t work out till Monday while my body adjusts. It’s fine though since the migraines have sidelined me most of this month so I’m crossing fingers that the new ones work and I can get back to it!!

Cycling shoe hands down make a BIG difference. The stiff sole allows more power transfer when compared to ordinary sneakers.
