Lunch @ the b.f.f’s

Are you doing your Friday happy dance?  Fun plans this weekend?  Now that it is summer and school is out I feel like the weekend lasts 7 days and I am loving it. Don’t forget to come to Terra Mia tomorrow at 1 for a blogger/readers/runner get together!! Email me @[email protected] if you can come!!!

Workout:

-Sleeping until my sister called and begged me to go to the gym with her.

I was glad she did because we cranked out a killer upper body strengthening session and a few minutes on the elliptical.  I had to leave early because I thought it might be polite of me to shower before lunch with 2 of my best friends from high school.

We went over to Jen’s house and started things off right with a crazy delicious tomato/cream cheese/heavenly dip.  I steered clear of the olives…..the picture of them even make me a little queasy and no, I am not pregnant, I just have a severe taste aversion to olives.

Then it was taco time.  Pork tacos with all the toppings.  I could eat a bushel of cilantro at a time.

What is better than being hand delivered a pumpkin chocolate chip cookie by a lil’ girl? (Her face is not dirty but she put makeup all over it earlier and it wouldn’t come off:)

If that smile doesn’t make you happy maybe you need more chocolate in your life.

Self-timer photos are the best.  I don’t know why Billy won’t come to our girls dates to be the photographer.  Doesn’t he know his job when it comes to the blog…..my personal paparazzi.  Blog>him going to school and getting good grades.

-Yep, most of them are still within an hour of me:)

What are you doing tonight?

-We are going long boarding, making cookies and making dinner together.  Throw in some TV watching and I will have to call it the perfect night.

What is the latest you have ever slept in?

-In high school I slept until noon one time:)

I wish I had old high school friends and thus I dont. I feel like my summer has been quite boring, especially with school being done. I usually dont have to many high school friends. I talk to a few, but most of them are out of state now. I am doing nothing tonight, probably read some books. I think the latest I have slept is like 11, but I was like deathly ill so I basically slept all the time because I was so out of it!

Since I moved to WA from Ohio, I felt like I'd left everyone behind. I do talk to a handful of my very best high school friends but miss them desperately and would love to see them more often!
I'm diving to Spokane, WA to house/dog sit and have a 10K tomorrow.
I have slept in til about 2pm but I think that was after a severe night of drinking. :)

I have a friend that I've been friends with since elementary school and one from middle school. I talk to them on a pretty regular basis. The rest of my friends are ones that I made outside of high school. I didn't always pick the best ones to be friends with.

A few weekends ago I slept until 6 pm. Oops. This weekend I'm doing my first marathon training long run with my new running group and then I'm going to this:

Beer and food? SCORE.

awww. I wish that I kept in touch with my HS friends. I am terrible at keeping in touch with them though. There is one that I still occasionally write on FB but other than that I have lost touch with all of them…sad :(

Tonight I am headed to a party with my psych friends at my professor's house. pretty dorky but I am all over the free food! Then headed home to watch some softball and get to bed early for my run in the am :)

Hope you have a fabulous night! cant wait for terra mia tomorrow!! have already convinced at least one of my friends to come meet and see how amazing you all are :)

I am still friends with some of my high school friends. THE best part about graduating though was not having to be friends with everyone! The one's that stay in a persons life are there forever! :D

I think I have slept until 9:30 or 10 and that's the latest!

I am still friends with some of my high school friends but since most of them all live in Texas and I am in Colorado Facebook is an easy way to see what everyone is up to.

I have a half-marathon tomorrow so I won't be doing anything too exciting but letting my nerves go crazy. I have been having issues with my right leg that I thought was/is a stress fracture on my tibia so I am not sure what I will be able to do tomorrow although 12 miles is usually a piece of cake for me but not with this injury.

I am an early bird so the latest I have ever slept in was maybe 11am and it had to be in college if it ever happened. With a 7 month old baby there is no sleeping in which is fine with me because I even get up at 4:30am on the weekends to get my workouts in. :) Wish I lived in Utah to come tomorrow to the get together.

Do you still see/talk/communicate on facebook with your high school friends?

I am on FB with my friends from high school, but we live in different states and not a lot of communication goes on. My bff from hs lives 15 minutes away…and we still talk regularly.

What are you doing tonight?

I wanted to go out to dinner with my husband BUT I don't feel like showering and changing out of my workout clothes (what a bum!)

What is the latest you have ever slept in?

My body is evil and wakes me up before 8am EVERY MORNING…even in the summer (I'm a teacher too!!)

I still talk to a few of my close friends from high school on a regular basis. Some girls that were in school at the same time as me take my Zumba class now, and that's fun too!

Our city has an annual Blues Fest, and this year is the 20th anniversary. We are going downtown to hear our friend's band play along with some other amazing blues bands. It is a HOT night, so cold drinks and live music will be perfect!

I am a teacher, too, but I rarely sleep past 7:30 in the summer. During the school year I am up at 4:45 to workout with my personal training client. I think after an all night slumber party I slept until noon.

how fun! I keep in contact with a few from HS, but most from college.

I am excited to have dinner with the in-laws, and a sleep over with some great friends :)

I can sleep like it's my job. And thanks to my job I sleep weird hours. I got about 3 or 4 hours of sleep wednesday night, so last night I slept about 12 hours. 9am-9pm. I'm awesome, be jealous.

Aw what an adorable baby! And pumpkin chocolate chip cookies sound awesome right now!

I definitely still see my high school friends, though our schedules are always so different.

I'm planning to just relax and watch a DVD tonight.

I can't wait to go to the Farmer's Market (early) tomorrow!

Reply

My best friend from high school is still my best friend today. :) I'm turning in early tonight because I want to get up and run before the heat sets in.

Reply

My best friend from when I was younger is still my best friend today!! The latest I've ever slept was like 1 pm after a hard night out in college.

Reply

Best friend is still from high school! Longest I ever slept in was I think 2 pm. I was sick and couldn't sleep in college and took tylenol pm. I learned my lesson!!

Reply

I slept until noon on day too, and it was lovely.
Cookies hand delivered . . . love it.

Reply

I can not sleep in past 8 it seems anymore. Sad!

I wish my friends from school lived close to me, but we are clear across the country from one another. How fun that you still get together! You are a good friend!

Reply

If I don't make myself get up, I could sleep past noon…

But part of that is because my sleep schedule is messed up due to working nightshift at the hospital and not going to bed until 8am. Yikes.

Tonight, I am having a tall glass of white wine while my husband is working (boo).

Sleep in? What's that? I don't know what you are talking about.

Love that you are able to get a few miles on the femur. Keep up the good rest, and you'll be back at it full speed before you know it.

I do communicate with some of my friends from high school and middle school on facebook. Only one of them lives within driving distance. Both of my best friends live far away but facebook is great for seeing pictures of their families or reading about little daily thoughts they typically wouldn’t think to share. What is not great about facebook is seeing my 13 year old godson change his relationship status to “in a relationship”.
Tonight I took some measurements at the house since we have some purchases to make from home depot tomorrow and caught up on blogging.
Once I slept in until 2 pm. I had jet lag and my sleep schedule was a mess so I hadn’t gone to sleep until 6 am.

Tonight I worked on our house (it's almost built, yay!) and then went for a quick run. Now relaxing for a bit and an early night.
Back in the day when I used to be WAY more exciting I would stay up crazy late and sleep until 2 in the afternoon. Ridiculous!
I am in contact with HS friends but don't see them since they live really far away. Boo!
:)

I will not be doing a Friday dance, rather a Sunday dance! I am working all weekend at the State Track meet!

Today I went for MEXICAN food! Holy guacamole. I ate enough healthy fats for a week! Burned it off with a 2-hour walk with the buff bf and now I'm sitting here blog-stalking. Pretty perfect Friday night if you ask me!

Have fun longboarding, beautiful!

Why won't your photos enlarge? I want to see Jen's little cutie pie better!

I have a couple of girlfriends from HS that get together every couple months….always a hugs laugh fest. Its so great to reminisce on our nerdy, crazy times especially now that we're the "responsible" parents of our own little crazies :)

My date w/hubby was a matinee to see Pirates. I love day dates when the kids are in school- no babysitter to pay AND I don't fall asleep!

Reply

ONE TIME when I was sick I slept until 6 pm at night…aka dinner time. Needless to say I had breakfast for dinner.

Reply

haha I slept in til 6pm once! The day after going the 24 hour Relay For Life.

I still pretty regular sleep in til 1:30-2pm on weekends… eep :\

I'm super close with my high school friends still – and I was just bridesmaid for my absolute bestie from high school =) aww.

aww, catching up with 'old' friends is always so fun. i have a friend from junior high that no matter how long it's been since we last talked/emailed the SECOND we're together it's like no time has passed!!

i keep in touch with a few people from my HS regularly, but then when FB came about it's been CRAZY to see people sort of crawl out of the woodwork, not gonna lie i totally love being the creeper and seeing what they've been up to. :)

aaaarrrggghhh! just slept in now!!!

I’m still good friends with my close friends from HS, but most of them are spread all across the country, bummer.

I think the latest I’ve ever slept is like 1pm, but these days I’m up by seven at the latest, otherwise the dog sticks her nose in my face.

Last night Mike and I ordered pizza and watched tv, it was great. We are a very boring couple.

You are so, SO funny! I am absolutely in love with your blog. It was one of the first fitness blogs I came across, and you’ll never know how much you’ve helped me. You’ve inspired me to start my own blog, and I can only hope that it can one day affect people as much as your blog has affected me :) Thank you.

I’m with you on the olives! Gross! I also hate how they squish between my teeth. I have a taste AND texture aversion :)

I can never sleep in anymore! Even when I want to.

I love your new format!! I still keep in touch with two friends from high school. I moved 3000 miles away 9 years ago, but we are still best friends!

Thank goodness for facebook, because that’s how I keep up with my high school friends, except for my best friend, Carla, we still spend tons of time together and we have been friends since 8th grade.
Tonight we have plans for a cookout with friends, the best thing about summer!

I just had to comment to say that my FB friend’s status the other night said this: “High school reunion: If we were close, we probably still are; if we weren’t, I’m probably Facebook stalking you anyways; and if you didn’t move, I’ll see you at Wal-Mart this weekend. Done.”

I thought it was hilarious and I pretty much concur. That is all.

I am still very close with all of my high school friends and after college we moved back to our home city. We all live w/in a few miles of one another and it’s amazing! We’re like a big family :)

I just added your weblog to my blog roll, I hope you would think about doing the same.

Tibia has not been considered optimum MMO on the globe, and it is equipped with its flaws and frustrations. Fourteen years can be an extremely long time in video gaming, and it’s fair to state that Tibia hasn’t moved while using times. Is that the bad thing? Not really. The community features remained loyal and also appreciate what Shin has achieved throughout its tenure. The fact the servers will still be running is an authentic testament to its popularity and addictiveness. It’s actually a simple, easy to grasp MMO with a formula this is certainly tried and tested in recent times. It’s not for you, but those in search of slice of basic role-playing gaming then Tibia might just be what you are looking for.
