First of all, Billy got a hair cut. It looks real good. It makes me real happy to see. That is all.
Second of all, we were rebellious. We threw all of our rules of not eating out during the week into the wind and ventured over to our favorite hole in the wall taco shop. I mean I did run 30 minutes and that should equal at least a lard tortilla, mounds of cheese, sour cream, rice and beans right?!?!
Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do and get a shrimp taco and a veggie burrito. It is a must to smother the whole thing in more salsa than you thought a human could consume.
You know the food is going to be good when it is served on a styrofoam plate.
Guess who gets another 30 minutes of running tomorrow. This girl. Watch out Kara…….you might not win Boston this year, better luck next time.

Time for a giveaway. The amazing Mod Bod sent me some AWESOME SHIRTS. I am not exagerating when I say I REALLY love these shirts for working out and also to wear on dates to make my husband think I am extra hot.
I am clearly learning a lot of boxing skills after watching this season of Biggest Loser.
Another awesome thing, they wash REALLY WELL. You know I get a sweatastic workout in these things and after washing them a dozen times they still look and feel brand new.
I LOVE layering them under clothes!!! Even my students thought they were awesome, that is how you know they are cool.
I know, I know I should try out for America’s Next Top Model because of my original poses and wow, I am good at looking off into the distance. Quite artistic if you ask me.

As for why I love my life… I hurt my foot pretty severely running (and finishing!) my first ever half marathon about 6 weeks ago now. It really gets me down sometimes because I still just can't exercise the way I'd like. But at the end of the day, it makes me happy to remember that I'm healthy, I have a job, a roof over my head, friends and family who I love more than anything, and the cutest dog in the whole world to welcome me home with kisses each and every evening.
Thanks for doing what you do – you seem like an amazing person, and maybe our paths will cross in real life someday!

I feel like things are going well in my life right now! Well, not necessarily that "things" are good, but that the positive way I perceive those things is good! And here's a quote that has helped me appreciate my life more recently: "Best is good, but better is best" This reminds me to take off all of the pressure I put on myself for trying to be perfect, and just focus on continual betterment!

Today was the last day of placement for the first year and I got to meet some amazing people in a neighbourhood I never knew existed (it's social housing).
