My Sunday Routine:

1-Open Eyes.

2-Watch the BL on my laptop while Billy still sleeps.

3-Walk 14 steps to the couch.

4-Stalk blogs.

5-Lunch Time.  Put every last piece of random food in your kitchen onto a plate. I need to go grocery shopping. (Grilled Zucchini, spinach salad, fried egg, tilapia on a bagel thin).

IMG 4984

6-Drink your 4th cup of hot chocolate.

7-Do some yoga because you are so addicted to endorphins that in order to think clearly you need just a few of ’em to get through the day.

IMG 4991

8-Put on a dress, smear make-up all over my face and brush my teeth for church.

IMG 4994

9-Write a lame blog post because for some reason you are tired from doing absolutely nothing besides a few Sun Salutation’s and making a great bum print in your couch.

10-Pack purse full of snacks because heaven forbid I get hungry during church.  I don’t want my fellow church goers to see the awful side of me that comes out when my blood sugar drops.  It’s not pretty.

What day do you go grocery shopping?  Do you just wait until everything is out?

-We used to always go on Saturday’s but now we just wait until we are out of everything.

Do you like wearing dresses? (Boys, do you like wearing suits?)

-For the first hour I do but then it starts to bug me.  This is probably why I am either in jeans or tempo shorts 99% of my life.

Tell me five things that you have done today.

I. Love. Your. Dress. SO pretty!! Both you and it of course! ;) I wore a dress today too…it was weird, because 99% of MY life is spent in sweats or tempos! :P

– Got up and made toast (all my brain can manage to make first thing)
– Went back to bed, with toast
– Got up 30 mins later to make pancakes
– Fetched dog to hoover up the breadcrumbs from my bed
– Went to church, still eating my pancakes

It was a busy morning.

Today I've made soup, gone to the grocery store, read other people's blogs, took a nap, and folded laundry. How exciting! :P
Hope you have a nice, relaxing day!

What makes eating the haeithler foods harder for me is at dinner time. We are a family of 5 and eating chicken breasts, seafood, and turkey are very expensive meats. We don’t fry our foods (if we do any frying it is usually french fries or tater tots; but there again it is only MAYBE once a month because we usually bake ours). We have more ground beef or red meat items in our house, because we purchase half a cow from our cousins and then have it processed. So our beef is lean, but it is what we mostly consume in a weeks time.I do try to get a seafood meal, a pork meal and 1 or 2 chicken meals in our weekly meals that I plan. (I plan an entire months worth of meals then get the groceries, and only go back to the store weekly for perishables). This month I have cut out more potatoes and added more pasta meals (I am not sure if that was wise; because again I couldn’t get the WW pasta because of the price); and also changed the canned vegetables to green leafy salads that have to prepared that day for dinner. The price you pay for eating haeithler is ridiculous and hard to do with such a large family; keep in mind now that I have a teenager and she eats as much as my husband so a 6oz fillet of cod will not be enough for them.

1. Hubby shops on Tuesdays. It is statisticly the lightest shopping day of the week. Yes, I am blessed that he does all the grocery shopping!
2. I like wearing a dress when it is warm. Winter? Not so much!
3. Laundry, laundry, clean kitchen, laundry and laundry…

We bring snacks to church all the time. Dresses? Love them for about 30 minutes, then I want my pj's. hehe.

Haha my Sundays sound a lot like yours. Except no yoga for me, I am completely sedentary on Sundays except for the walk to and from the car to get to church and back home. So far I have woken up, showered, gotten a primary lesson ready, gone to church, and come home. I am thinking that all the rest of the day holds for me is some more sleep and eating some good food with the in-laws. Sundays are amazing :) Hope you have a great evening!

p.s. your lunch looks delicious :)

OMGosh love this!!

I totally pack a food bag like I'm two years old and going to cry. But heck – who else's church is THREE hours??!?!?!!?

Reply

I went to see Tangled in 3D (great movie, even for adults), ate tortillas at my mother in laws and drank homemade pineapple water, cleaned my floors, foam rolled and am watching the KY game. I think that's 5 :)

I usually got gorcery shopping on Saturday's, I LOVE wearing dresses and can't wait for warmer weather to be able to wear them again!!!

Today I ate cinnamon rolls for breakfast, caught up with my TV shows on HULU, blogged, did laundry, ate pizza for dinner and read a book. Pretty exciting!! ;)

I usually like to go grocery shopping on either Saturday or Sunday…but that usually does not happen due to becoming so busy.
Five things I have done today:
1. Took a Nap
2. Make my lunch for tomorrow
3. Cross trained light on the bike at the gym for 45 minutes
4. Took my dog outside

Reply

I grocery shop when we need, not a day before, usually a couple days past due. I love wearing dresses – in summer!

I slept in, ate oatmeal, caught up on blogs, ran my long run 16 miles! and ate a whole lot of jelly beans as reward!

Reply

I usually go grocery shopping every Sunday. I usually go after church, but that's beginning to be a bad idea bc that's when everyone goes so it's a mad house! Haha.

I love wearing dresses! I was so excited when we had warm weather last week so that I could wear a dress instead of uncomfortable dress pants to work :)

5 Things I did today:
1. Ate a cinnamon crunch bagel from Panera
2. Laundry
3. Homework
4. Grocery shopped
5. Stalked blogs, duh

I love wearing dresses because it means I don't have to wear pants. Um I live my life in leggings I swear.

Costco day is once a month on Mondays. It's ridiculous we buy like 300 of food at one time! (In our defense we have two kids).
Five things: 1. Drink coffee and read blogs! 2.Spin on the bike trainer and watch 2 episodes of scrubs. 3.Weights, core and stretch during one more episode of scrubs. 4. Lunch while reading blogs and watching more scrubs. 5. snack of peanut butter, choc chips, rolled oats, choc frosting while watching more scrubs. Now it's time for work!

Reply

I am so jealous it is dress weather where you are! It's still chilly here…not fair.
I like to go grocery shopping when we run out of food…but then I am picky about it and choose the most random time where I think it won't be crowded. There is nothing worse than a crowded grocery store. I like to think my purchases through, and if there are lots of people around I tend to just pick up things randomly because I get all flustered!

Reply

We go grocery shopping on Sunday after church. I make an extra trip during the week typically every week or every other week. During the summer when I'm off work, I'll wait and shop during the day on Wednesdays (when they restock with all the fresh produce!).

I do love wearing dresses, but only if they are super comfortable. Summer sun dresses are my favorite!

5 things I've done today:
1. Church
2. Grocery shopping
3. Made grilled ham and cheese sandwiches and vegetable soup.
4. Nearly two hours of paperwork!!!
5. March Madness (this includes yelling at the TV) :)

Reply

Your dress is super cute. I like to wear them, but have noticed that the way I enjoy sitting most comfortably is fairly inappropriate when wearing a dress.

We grocery shop on Sundays after church (with apparently the rest of the town). We have it down to a science so that's pretty much when everything runs out too.

How in the world do you eat an apple in church? lol

Five things I did today:

Went to church
went to the grocery
walked bungee around the neighborhood with no leash (she's awesome! it was her first off leash walk!)
Tried to run immediately after lunch and failed big time
and now i'm watching tv on the computer

Love relaxing Sundays! I love wearing dresses, for some reason the best time to wear a dress for me is after a post-workout shower. Maybe I need to feel feminine after being gross and sweaty for an hour?
I kind of love grocery shopping? Weird, I know. I go maybe every 3-4 days. Lots of fresh fruit and veggies for me.

Reply

I was reading your post while in line at the grocery store :) I pretty much go every day or two when I am home. I always stay very well stocked on staples, but I need to fill in with fresh fruits/veggies/dairy/meats. I have a grocery store right in my building so it's easy for me to go often.

I LOVE wearing dresses. I like that even if I eat too much they still fit me fine, rather than being tight like some of my pants can get when I really stuff myself :)

Reply

I absolutely despise wearing dresses. I even wear jeans to church. It just occurred to me a couple of days ago that I don't have anything to wear to my nephew's wedding in June. I'll have to buy something, and I HATE that because I know it will likely never be worn again unless someone else I know gets married this summer.

I usually go grocery shopping on Sundays right after church, but my schedule was all messed up this weekend. I knew it was supposed to storm on Saturday, so I planned to shift my long run to Sunday and instead did my house cleaning and grocery shopping on Saturday. Now Sunday is here and I'm sick and I didn't get to run either. Blah.

Five things I've done today:
1. Caught up on blogs.
2. Used about half a bottle of sore-throat spray.

4. Slept for like 2 hours to recover from my 15 minute trip to the store.
5. Watched My Best Friend's Girl for about the millionth time. I <3 Dane Cook.

haha – I love that you smeared makeup all over your face. That's about how I apply my makeup, too. I love dresses year round. With boots in the winter, flip-flops in the spring and summer. 5 things: ran a half marathon, took an amazing nap (very rare!), ate everything in my kitchen, sent Billy to the grocery store because I'm icing my knee, AND making a major bum imprint on my couch. So you're not the only one. :) xo

two grown-ups + two kids = 2 trips to the grocery store per week.

i might like wearing dresses if i had more of them. yours is really cute! love brown. but, most of the time, i prefer to be in workout clothes (whether i'm working out or not). comfort over style, always. sad but true.

No panty hose for church! You disrespectful heathan! Wait- I Don't know how to even spell that. So my Sunday consisted of me being released as YW President and made 2nd coun in RS. Now I feel old. My back even started aching a little.

OK- I have one for you to remember. And by "one" I mean an awesome quote (I found it on my son's paper from Primary … again, this makes me sound old, but I'm not even 30 … )
"I am asking that we stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight"- GBH

I know it's hard for you to be injured, but there is still lots of sunshine in your life!
