Dinner was made possible by the parentals. I just happened to call my mom and see what they were doing tonight and when she said Costco I may have invited myself to join them:) I have a sixth sense about these things.
I always know when a good meal is around the corner.
I also picked up my 7 lb bag of broccoli that will be gone in approximately 3 days and more pears. All is right in the world again.
Caesar salad and ice cream are what dreams are made of.
My Mom opted out of the picture tonight….I mean who doesn’t love having pictures taken of themselves and put all over the internet. Some people these days:)

You know what time it is…..Three Tangent Tuesday. I would love it if you did it on your blog too. It is a great way to be random, get to know each other and let the world now how weird you are.
1. I make brownies, cakes and cookies just to eat from the beaters. Sure baked goods are delicious but there is nothing like staring at the beaters for ten minutes straight eating every last piece of dough. I didn’t even know he was taking the picture until after the fact…..when there is dough within 5 feet of me I have complete tunnel vision.
I also spill on myself at least 3 times a day. I wonder what color the floor was when it was my house was originally built in 1908?
2. I have to have a thick layer of lip gloss on at all times or else I go crazy. Chapstick isn’t even enough. I put it on before bed, when I get up to go potty in the night and at least 34 times throughout the day. At the end of my first marathon I asked for my lip gloss from Billy before water or anything. I learned my lesson and cary it with me on every run.
3. I think my brother and I look a lot alike and our sense of humor is even more alike. He is so good to me too. One time we went on a road trip and when I was driving he fell asleep, when he woke up we were in the wrong state. I took a wrong turn and we ended up with a 200 mile detour. He laughed and then we got a milkshake. He is so chill…I LOVE IT!

2. Nah, I don't look much like my younger sister–plus she is 6 inches taller than me. I call her my "big little sister".
3. I don't have Costco membership but my parents have a Sam's club one and it's pretty similar and pretty sure they have that EXACT same ice cream and it is wonderful! They have a berry sundae one where they add loads of glorious berries on top of already delicious ice cream. Oh my goodness!
4. Tangents about myself:
I can eat my weight in popcorn and do on a regular basis. I see it as a healthy dose of fiber, not an addiction. ;) I also can't sleep with my bedroom door or closet door open. Can't eat mac n' cheese with a spoon…MUST be a fork.

I kinda look like my sisters. One of my sisters has red hair like me, but I look more like my other sister.
Tangent: I got lost hiking on a mountain two summers ago with a few friends. We found a shelter, called emergency, and had to come be rescued because we had no idea where we were. It was summer & warm, but it had be raining, so we all cuddled together for warmth.

Our kitchens look identical. Our house was built in 1910..in Massachusetts of course, though. We have the same awning/cabinet thing over our toaster. The built in cabinet too (I love this–so glad that was the trend in the early 1900's!). Our kitchen is also ridiculously small while the living room is huge, and we have a single bathroom. I think all those old school qualities give it charm!

Your lip gloss addiction cracks me up! I put vaseline on my lips and eyelashes before bed every night. It conditions your lashes, but Billy thinks I'm crazy. My older sisters look so much alike. And I think I look like them, too, unless my hair is really blonde. But I'm kind of over the really bright blonde. It's too much of a hassle/expensive to keep up. I woke up with a swollen toe. I've never been to Costco. This is a life goal of mine. I'm also a certified taste-tester when it comes to batter and frosting. My mom even told me so.
PS. True Life: I'm addicted to chapstick.

i was an OOOPS baby and my only sister is 11 years older than me. she's like the cool second mom that has always been the voice of reason and giver of advice. she's super special. on another note, we don't have a cosco in our corner of iowa and it's devastating!

Costco ice cream is my favorite! And even better getting their fries and dipping them in the ice cream…it works, sweet and salty?! haha

yes, I have eaten at costco. I like their pizza, the one that has everything on it (supreme?). their polish sausages are not bad either :)
and of course I always eat the samples, particularly when they are giving away cheese and crackers or granola mix.

tangent: no matter how busy I am at work, I always find a way to read blogs… not great for the productivity but excellent for overall well-being

I try "not" to eat at Costco unless I'm craving for some pizza. I must admit they have cheap, yummy food but after paying I rush my cart out the door so I won't be tempted. If I was still in my twenties, I'd probably be there every weekend, LOL!

1. When baking the already sliced cookies (slice and bake) I have to eat at least one raw!!
2. I get up at 4:30 three mornings a week to run and usually pray on my way home!
3. I love gumballs. I chew them all the time. Especially when I'm hungry and want to snack, snack, snack!!

I know everyone is going to be like OMG, ME TOO, but seriously Janae, OMG ME TOOOOO!
for these reasons: 1) my favorite foods are uncooked. I will always prefer raw cookie dough and pancake batter and bread dough to the cooked product.
2) 20% of food ends up in my mouth, the rest on the floor and my shirt (especially the sleeve area).
3) I wake up to pee 3-5 times a night, and put chapstick on each time.
