Workout:

11 fun miles on the treadmill while watching The Bachelor 1% incline 7:40 average pace.  One of my favorite features on the treadmill is that there is NO time limit.  At the gym you have to restart it every 60 minutes and it used to drive me insane.  The other awesome thing…..we put it in its own separate room. Billy and my downstairs neighbor can’t hear the treadmill or me playing the Bachelor and Kei$ha full blast on the speakers and I get to decorate the heck out of it with running gear, pictures and the inspiration board that I am working on!

Billy made my recovery drink this morning and I took it to go.  By the time I got to school I had a chocolate milk mustache and didn’t realize it until one of my students said something.  Awkward.

——————————————————————–

Besides qualifying for the Olympics for the marathon:) I have another big dream that has to do with another major passion in my life.

Delicious Food.

Right now, I am putting the man through school because he is a rockstar and I don’t like thinking about him having to work while he goes to school.  I think 16 credits of Electrical Engineering= 60+ hour work week. Plus, I make bank as a teacher in Utah.  I actually really enjoy teaching and I forget they pay me some days…..playing dodgeball and students bringing me candy=very happy Janae.

As soon as Billy Bob is making mula being a lawyer I am going back to school.

Yep, I am going back to study Nuclear Physics because I am very sophisticated like that.

DSC_3200.JPG

Okay, that’s a lie.  I barely passed my physics general education class at byu that I took as a senior but was meant for freshmen.

I want to go to Culinary Arts School.  Get up in the morning and go for a run, talk/learn about food all day and then go home and hang out with my best friend. Yep, that sounds amazing.

The End 26.jpg

Then I will have some chicklets and start my own little restaurant or bakery.

IMG_0538.JPG

Will you come eat at my future restaurant?  There will be more desserts than you have ever seen but don’t worry there will also be ridiculous amounts of fresh vegetables, delicious cheeses and amazing salads/pasta’s and pizza’s on my menu.  Don’t even get me started on the breakfast menu, I will go on all day about it!

So there you have it.  I think it is so important to be happy and enjoy where you are in life right this moment but I LOVE TO DREAM BIG and think about all of the possibilities that await me:)

I like to cook and bake, but I am not a very good baker. I like the sense of accomplishment I get when the Hubs likes what I cooked.

–I enjoy both, but my success rate is about 60%. I get really sad when I fail.

What is your dream job?
–Being a mom/being super rich and getting to work out, sleep, eat, and watch reality tv all day.

THAT IS ONE OF MY DREAMS TOO!!! And I would defo come and eat in your restaurant/bakery:)

My other dreams include running the Boston marathon, a sub 1.30 half and running a sub 20 5k!!

And I LOVE baking/cooking because eating the end product and any cookie dough/brownie batter is just THE BEST:)

Follow your dream Janae! And you are going to make an AMAZING mommy!!

I hate baking!! But you'd be so awesome at it.. I'm 40 now still homeschooling and raising kids so I think my school dream days are over. Boston's dream? That looks to be over too..:(

Well best of luck to you and your culinary dreams. I went to culinary school and it was the so extremely difficult, but really enjoyable and amazing at the same time. It takes over your life and when you work out you smell like the food you've been cooking all day. But there is no greater skill in life then knowing how to cook an amazing meal, well in my oppinion at least.

Reply

I absolutely LOVE to bake. Cooking is fun, too; however, I'm DEF a baker at heart.

Besides running, whenever I get stressed all I want to do is bake, bake, bake! It stinks going to college because I don't have my mom to mootch flour, sugar, eggs, etc. so I don't really have the moola to bake all I want.

I considered starting my own little "bakery"… AKA, me demanding the people in my classes to buy my baked goods I made because of stress. But I don't believe it would work to my benefit :(.

I keep looking for baking classes in my area but it never works out.

My dream job would be a baker with my own bakery… Except, I enjoy eating the dough instead of the final product so I hope my body becomes immune to salmonella. hahaha.

I LOOVE to bake. Just wait until you have little ones- it's REALLY fun to bake with them!! I feel like I am sort of living my dream now- after working full time and mommying full time and going to school and working while Mark went to med school/residency/fellowship, I am finally able to be a SAHM to my 3! I loved my job as a nurse, but def. feel like it prepared me for THIS job, ha ha! My running dream is to run a sub 30 min. 5k, kind of sad. And to do my 1st half in less than 2:30.

Reply

I didn't run today BUT I blogged and linked you! It's a tear jerker, grab the Kleenex girlie girl!

I LOVE cooking, it is one of my favorite things in the whole world to get crazy with delicious ingredients:) My dream is to go to school for nutrition and public health, and then get a culinary degree!

Reply

I love to cook, and I just wish I was a bit younger and had the money to buy all the good stuff to make some outrageous meals!

If I wanted to start over in a career, it would maybe have something to do either in medical research or nutrition. Of course, if I could get paid to read all day and share my opinion on books, that would be ideal! I don't get to read at work, darn it.

Reply

Um. My dream is to make my blog so super famous and awesome that I don't have to work anymore, and I can stay home with my Little C Baby all day! It WILL happen. :D

And if I could be anything I'd be a novelist, or at least work in the publishing industry. Or be a doctor, but there's now way I'm going back to school for 8 more years. Teaching is great, but I'm not sure if I can do it for the 40 years between now and retirement.

I LOVE your dream! I want to have a little bakery that just sells cookies. Like a specialty cookie shop. My dream: Be a nutrition consultant and trainer and be my own boss!

My dreams are similar to yours, miss.

I hope to someday be a mother and coffee shop owner. Or, a fitness instructor. Or, an author. Maybe all of the above.

I enjoy cooking because I like eating what I make, and I like serving others through food. I like baking because

1) I get to lick the bowl
2) I get to eat one fresh out of the oven
3) I get to eat 3 immediately after that
4) I get extreme pleasure from a sugar coma.

My dream job would be a stay at home wife and mom and a freelance writer or author.

Bachelor Talk: wtf on Ashley, don't really get why he's kept her so long. Chantal seems like the most genuine person the Bachelor has ever had, reallly emotional about the guy, so she's good to go. I don't know how Emily could possibly screw this up, he is so taken by her already. The clip of next week at Shawntels reminded of Ali's season, where she ended up booting Kirk on the home-town dates, because his dad had creepy dead animals in the basement.

I NEED this treadmill! the 60 minute restart thing is bogus and kills me! Your blog convinced me to give the treadmill a try, and I love how hard it makes me work. Today I did 1.5 hours at a 7:30 pace — something that is way harder to do when I'm outside and allowed to slow down at my whim… so THANK you for the inspiration.

Lastly, my dream is to own a frozen yogurt shop and/or a gym. My other is to be a park ranger at the Grand Canyon. Or any other incredible national park

cute post! i love to bake, but honestly, its all so i can lick the spoon and bowl and paddle. i certainly enjoy the outcome, but nothing beats batter or dough.

Ummmm we are twins! I wanted to go to culinary school, but my parents said NO WAY, so I went to Duke. (I guess Duke was a good backup.) It's funny that you mention the dream job thing, because my fiance and I just had a discussion about that last night after I had yet another job rejection. Cooking/baking has been my release right now while I"m not working. I can't explain it, but working in the kitchen makes me feel better and productive and happy. :) I don't think I have the talent to pursue it as a career, but it's a fantastic hobby. :)

Is it sick that I am totally excited to begin classes partly because I will have access to the campus fitness center (which is loaded with treadmills)?? Jeeze, I am a nut!

DO IT DO IT!! You will be an awesome baker!!! I can see the Skittles Cupcakes now!
