Healthify Cream???

I came home from spin and Billy made me dinner.

Creamy Potato Soup. Yep, I will reward him by maybe getting ready tomorrow and putting on make-up or maybe I will tell him where I hid the sour-patch kids

Cream=4 times as many calories as I burned teaching spin tonight which does not equal weight maintenance:)

So we healithified it!  Good thing I have a stomach of steel.  If you are a veggie beginner I wouldn’t recommend this much fiber at one sitting otherwise your husband may sleep in the other room.

1st- Steam broccoli, onions and cabbage.  Fill up your bowl to the max with steamed veggies.

2nd- Fill in the cracks with delicious creamy soup and have a salad on the side.

I promise you will leave this meal filling full and so much more satisfied than if you opted for a fat-free watery version of the soup.

Only try this method with food, dessert does not work this way, use the entire bowl purely for dessert, especially candy, too many commas, I know.  Go big or go home.

Here’s my spin playlist, see you tomorrow!

1. Let it Rock: Kevin Rudolph  Warm-up

2. Good Girls Go Bad: 3OH!  Sprints

3. The Time: Black Eyed Peas, 1,2,3 1=Run, 2= Half-way down 3=Arrow

4. Such Great Heights: Postal Service  Jumps

5. Love the Way You Lie: Eminem, Hill climb in the saddle

6. Firework: Katy Pery, Hill climb out of the sadlle, hit max tension

7. Take it off: Kei$ha, Isolation and sprints

8. Don’t go:  Mike Posner, More jumps with isolations in between sets

9. Bad Romance: Lady Gaga, Dancing

10. DJ Got Us Falling in Love: Usher

11. Outta Control: 50 Cent

12. Like a G6: Heavy tension sprints, lowering tension after each one.

13. Bleed America: Jimmy Eat World, Combo of everything

14: Dusk and Summer: Dashboard, Cool down

What is your favorite soup ever?  Include toppings or sides that you have with it.

-Without a doubt in my mind, clam chowder in a ginormous sourdough bread bowl. Don’t forget the oyster crackers because that would just be wrong.

Your soup looks delicious!
I am SO SICK of taco soup. It's too easy and I make it all the time, so I am way worn out on it. Just about any other kind sounds tasty to me, though. I also LOVE sourdough and still am working on perfecting that. It is hard to recreate at home.

I think your soup looks like my favorite soup. I really need to be better at cooking. I love Clam Chowder in a sourdough bowl too! Yummy! And from the looks of you on your video tonight, you do not have to worry about the cream!! Good grief, we runners are a bit on the obsessive side, don't you think? :) I'm the same way. But really, you are a person that CAN eat cream!

oh, and do tell me (please) how you got the pictures on the top of your blog and made your title more centered?? I'm still trying to fine tune this blog format thing. Need help.

I loooooove black bean soup….so tasty. Also, tomato soup with little cheese quesadilla wedges are fantastic….ah, comfort food.

I am not a fan of watered down, "fat free" stuff…..most of it is fake and you can find a way to make it healthier without it tasting awful!

I love chili – any kind. with cornbread… or in a squash bowl…. or just lots of chili.

Hey–I had creamy potato soup that I loaded up with veggies, too!

My true faves, though, are french onion and my friend Amanda's chili. So good! :)

Thanks for posting the playlist. My iPod can use all the help it can get. As for Billy making you dinner, he's a keeper. I can't get my husband to boil water for my tea.

You have a really funny blog. I enjoyed reading it! I've added you to my follow list. I will admit that it made me really hungry reading your blog so I don't know if I should read it all the time… anyway, I like the pics of food, plus the running/exercise tidbits. I wish I had as much motivation to cook as you do. I also wish I liked veggies more. Maybe tips for people who don't like veggies… like how to make it taste like Dots or Skittles?

This is my first time here, and I do have to say I just literally LOL'ed at your subhead. "It's rude to count people as you pass them. Out loud." Hilarious.

As for soup? I love tomato soup. As long as it's not Campbell's "soup" but instead has legit chunks of tomatoes floating around. Now that's soup. :)

awesome songs. totally a kick butt list for sure.

and yay for stomachs of steel :)

Its not really 'soup', but chili is my favorite soup-ish kind of dish I think. I love it anyway it comes, but one of my favorites is making it into a 'frito burrito', which I guess takes away its soup-factor =)
A close 2nd would be my moms homemade chicken and (homemade) dumpling soup that I can now make too thankyouvermuch…a close 3rd would be broccoli cheese soup…hmmm…I think I need to make some soup for dinner this week….

I love soup, I don't know if I have an absolute favorite, I tend to like whichever one I am currently eating!

I am adding you to our list of Boston-bound bloggers!

I was just recently told about your blog from a friend and love it! Quick question about your spin playlists, maybe I'm totally out of it but will you describe to me how you do 'arrow' in your class, I've never heard of it before.

Umm so I think I just found my new favorite blog :) I teach spinning too & have about 3/4ths of those songs on my playlists already…so basically your spinning mixes are awesome. It's amazing how we can both use the same song but do something completely different with it during a spin class.
