At the gym—>  other than the treadmills, what cardio machines do you use?

Seen the new Beauty and the Beast movie?  Thoughts?

Done any renovations at your house?  What?

Best part of your Thursday so far?

Saw Beauty and the Beast this past weekend! It was beautifully done!! I loved it! I will say that the fighting/”kill the beast”/Gaston vs. Beast part was definitely more intense then the cartoon one, so it may be scary for a four year old…but it probably depends on the child, I guess! There were lots of kids in the theater with us…

My husband and I renovated one of his bathrooms in his house when we first started dating…I say “we” but I mainly picked paint colors and the vanity ;) It was fun though, and he impressed me with his reno skills! (I don’t think he would do it again though! LOTS of work especially with a full time job!)

Have a great rest of your Wednesday!

I love the elliptical at the gym! I really think that is my favorite! But, I would really like to try the Jacob’s ladder! Now that I am in post-marathon mode (ran LA Sunday), I see lots of elliptical in the near future :) But, I feel so fantastic after my marathon, that I am already craving a good 5-8 mile run!! :)
We have renovated almost every room in the house except the main bathroom and kitchen. I am DYING to get my hands on the kitchen!! I really love home projects!
My kids have spring break next week, yay, so I am hoping to see Beauty and the Beast! I have 2 teenage boys, so I’m not sure that will happen…
And, OMG… my hubby and I saw the Mario Cart guy at the LA marathon on Sunday! Very funny! I don’t know that I could run a full marathon in that costume!

I honestly don’t mind the elliptical or other random mindless cardio machines. I do hate when a machine I like it out of commission though. I haven’t really used Jacobs ladder before but I might need too.

Saw beauty and the beast last night and it was AMAZING!!!! Some parts might be a bit scary- if they have seen the cartoon version and were fine then I think this would be okay too!

My cardio at the gym = HIIT classes! I try to do at least one every week and love it. Especially happy to have a class this morning, when I woke up to 10F…still winter over here!

Hi Janae! We took our four year old to the new Beauty and the Beast this past weekend and she LOVED it!

Lindsey! Thank you so much for letting me know! We are going to do it now… thank you!!

There is a shooting scene that I would think would be a little much for four year olds personally.

I love some time on a spin bike -I dream of owning one :). Love it! And not a machine, of course, but I find swimming is really great for me. When I’m inconsistent with it and return, I can really feel a difference after a week or two of incoprorating swimming again. I’ve never tried the Jacob’s ladder. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen one :/. May have to YouTube that next!

I am taking my five year old to see Beauty and the Beast tomorrow! She doesn’t scare too easily during movies, so I’m not too worried.

Currently replacing our carpets upstairs with laminate. We’ve been doing one room at a time (because we use them every night!) and we are almost done. Still have to do some corners and the hallways.

Not into any other cardio machines other than the treadmill. Cannot stand the elliptical!

I’m seeing the new beauty and the beast on saturday! Can’t wait… love emma watson! I only ever do sprints on the treadmill, no other cardio machines for me.. and weights!! ALL about the weights!

I am thinking of taking my granddaughter (4yo) to see the movie. I don’t think it will be too scary for her??? The only cardio gym machine I really like is the stair climber. I would rather get my cardio outside if at all possible. Thanks for the chest and back workout. I am always looking for alternatives to my normal routine.
Best part of Thursday, and this may sound weird, but I had a coke! Loved it. I don’t drink as many as I use to but they have been hard for me to give up completely.

Mine is 9 and she loved it. A friend had her 5 year old and she loved it, so I’d say you’d be safe. Our gym is very very small, so they are limited on machine and they are basic. So I use and like them all. Treadmills, elliptical, 5 weight machine, bikes, stability balls, kettle bells and medicine balls about covers it. No renovations in our current house yet, one day we need to do a few.

Good to know! Thank you so much Michele, we cannot wait to see it! I hope you are having an awesome week Michele!

Haven’t seen the new Beauty & the Beast but I REALLY want to! I’ve heard it’s really good!

I use the stair stepper/climber? And it’s KILLLLLLEEEERRR. I almost die every time. (And I only do 10 minutes…?)

We actually flip houses so our renovation list goes on and on! The to-do list goes on and on but it’s really a fun job! It’s NOT like HGTV though! ;)

Best part of my day was getting our new hammock!! I’m so excited to give it a try on my next park day!

Happy Wednesday Janae!!!

A NEW HAMMOCK!!! Enjoy:) The stair stepper is SUCH a hard workout. I am right there with you… 10 minutes is my max right now. Okay, coolest job ever! I love it Chelsea, I can’t even imagine how much work goes into that. I want to see your before and afters! Enjoy the rest of your week! Thanks Chelsea!

Eek. I’m so excited to see that movie!! We’re thinking about taking our kiddos this weekend :)

I don’t have a gym membership, but I either run or ride my bike.

Best part of my day was a date night with my sweet husband and running into friends while we were out!

I’m tired and saw the first pic and thought “Wow she got a tshirt made with her and her sisters workout routine on it! And even a studio pic of them!” Lol! You both look too good to have worked out.
I want to take my 5 year old to see Beauty and the Beast too! She’s grown up watching Marvel movies (2 older brothers) so I’m thinking she can handle the Beast:)

Reply

HAHAH… I should get a shirt with the routine on it:) That way I wouldn’t have to ask her a million questions! Let me know what you think of Beauty and the Beast! Thanks Christina and I hope you are having an amazing day!

Beauty and the Beast was incredible!! Great costumes, wonderful music, amazing acting. However I think some of the scenes may be a little too intense and frightening for the kiddos, especially on the big screen. Might be a good one to watch at home so you can turn it off/fast forward if the kids get upset by it.

You guys are starting to look even more alike somehow! Coconut donuts though?? I can’t wait till I have a house of my own to do work on.

I have done lots of renos in my house over the last 8 years. I started a bunch of different projects right after Christmas: painted the bathroom vanity, framed out the big builder grade mirror, going to change out the toilet and taps, removed old and tiled new backsplash in the kitchen, changed out 4 light fixtures in kitchen, removed railing that divides family room and kitchen and going to build new one, painted fireplace and stained mantle, tore down the wood panel ceiling in the basement and currently putting up a drywall one and wiring and installing recessed lighting. Never expected the drywalling to be so hard…we put a 2×4 through our TV :(

I have not seen the new Beauty and the Beast yet, but I really want to! I love the stair climber at the gym for cardio. I am literally renovating my entire house right now and it is SO EXCITING. It’s hard to concentrate on really anything else right now.

Knowing your family (and this is a TOTAL compliment!!!), I’m guessing your sister will be able to do most of the work on that kitchen renovation herself! Impressive. I wouldn’t know where to begin!

Reply

Elliptical for me. I love to get on there to rest my legs after a long tough run and read. I can’t stand to watch tv shows because they don’t keep me as engaged as a book does.

Reply

Oooo I love before & after kitchen remodels!
