Silentish Saturday!!!

Just like that we go from running in a tank and shorts to full on winter running gear.  5 miles.

Keeping a close eye on him while he eats his spoon of peanut butter.

Chick-Fil-A salads.

I tease Megan D for her obsession with these M&M’s so she made me try them…  Not bad but the pb ones are still better:)

She thought she was pretty funny for wearing Knox’s hat backwards in the car.

I thought my socks were fitting for our November watermelon find.

An attempt at a lighting store selfie (holding the kids in that store was necessary;)

I’ll just be eating soup daily until my body acclimates to winter again;)

One of my favorites things at the end of the day is to brush her hair and settle down for the day.

I’m packing today as I’m moving next weekend.

I ran in capris yesterday and was too warm. Apparently tomorrow we could get a food of snow :-(

VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION!!!! is that a new kind of chicken on the salad???? the grilled chicken at our chick-fil-a is SO gross!! it’s just thick and gross. but that looks SO good!!

Reply

You are my twin. So I didn’t love the chicken before on their salads but I still would order them… and then yesterday they brought me the one above with the new chicken and I was soooo happy about the change. Not sure if they are making the change everywhere but it was so good. Let me know if the chicken at your chick-fil-a changed!!

AHHHHH YAY for getting back to running:) I hope that warm sun felt amazing for you!!! You too Rachel!

Going to train in the gym this morning, test drive some cars this afternoon, then a pizza date night with hubby!

Reply

Sounds PERFECT!! Enjoy your pizza date!

I made your sweet potato bowl minus the chicken and it was amazing. It will be my go-to dinner from now on. Thanks for sharing the great idea.

That makes me so happy Natasha! We are fully hooked on that too over here hahah! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

My first Saturday NOT in marathon training, so I’m taking it very lazy this morning!!! Looks like a great day, I can’t wait to see what kind of lighting you bought, I hope you will share!

Reply

Isn’t that a fun feeling after months of marathon training? I hope you loved your morning!! Yes, for sure we will share it once it is all up! Thanks Jess:)

I feel you on that Home Depot picture. Since becoming a homeowner, I’ve been spending so much time in HD and it’s like … what am I even doing here? But I’m growing an affection for it!

I’m sorry you had to get all bundled up for running, although I bet that cool air feels really nice once you’re a couple of miles in! We had a high of 82*F yesterday and I was sweating so I cannot relate at all, haha!

Reply

I LOVE that jacket you are wearing in the first pic. Is that the reflective one you mentioned in a post awhile back? Love it! A lightweight running jacket is on my list for Santa.
1 – working on my to do list. 2 – making homemade applesauce and apple crisp. 3 – hoping to finish a book that is due back at library soon.

Hey Michele!! So the one that I am wearing in the above photo is one from Brooke about 4 years ago.. I think it is still my all-time favorite for really cold runs. I wear the reflective one anytime I am running in the dark! I hope Santa brings you the perfect one! And now you have me craving apple crisp!

Target run, icing and stretching my shoulder (possible rotator cuff tear…boo!), and seeing my niece in her school play!

Reply

NOOOO Carla, I am so so sorry about your shoulder. Keep me updated with how you are doing! Enjoy the school play!

Three things I’m doing: 1) Going for a run 2) Getting a pedicure 3) writing, writing, writing (side hustle has deadlines!)

Happy Saturday!

Ughh I was thinking the same thing! I literally went running in a t-shirt yesterday and today it’s like 30 degrees and painfully windy. Glad I got a few double digit runs out earlier this week because today marks the start of treadmill season!

Three things I’m doing today:
-Treadmill
-Cookie baking/watching Food Network all day
-Friendsgiving tonight!

We finally had nice chilly temps (down into the 40’s!), so I just finished a great 3.5 mile run in long sleeves!!! That’s a big deal here in SoCal!
I absolutely LOVE Chick-fil-a salads! So yummy!!
Today is lots of errand running and house cleaning before Thanksgiving! This is one of my favorite weeks of the year :)

Happy Saturday!!

Going on a short 2 or 3 miles. Trying to keep my fitness up before I start training for my first Full Marathon. Going to the dump. Cleaning out my sheds. And I don’t know what else, probably just hang out at the house. Hope you guys have a great weekend.

Just came home from bootcamp(I always go on Saturday morning)!
Finishing an essay for one of my classes, while watching christmas movies!
and Looking after my neighbours kids for a couple hours!

Reply

I love that you are watching Christmas movies today:) Way to go on bootcamp!!!

Today started off with some reformer pilates! More importantly I am on the hunt for good books, tips, and research of the Low FodMap Diet. Yesterday I was told by my gastro that I need to follow this diet due to my diagnosis. Has anyone been following this diet? It’s very restricting and there’s a lot of detail behind that’s kind of worrying me. Any recommendations?!
Mostly sad about saying bye bye to gluten :(

I had to laugh when I saw the post-home depot expression! I worked this morning, then I tried making a crustless spinach quiche (yummy) and now I am putting my leg in a cast up on the table while I chill!

Reply

Okay, you might have to share that quiche recipe! I love quiche! What happened to your leg?

Reply

I will definitely share the recipe. Let me get it together and I’ll send it on. In June I ran a trail 1/2 marathon in regular shoes. Somewhere along the line I hurt the Fascia. Then for months I was incorrectly diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis because the pain was in my heal. Finally I had an MRI last month and it showed stretched and torn ligaments! So to give it total immobilization – a cast for 6 weeks. It has been miserable not to run since June!

Went to a group run this morning: 6 miles in the cold wind…just a preview for the rest of the winter I suppose. Then I met up with 4 friends and we went to our college football game for awhile. We were losing by a lot, and it was really cold just standing there, so after the halftime show by the band, we bailed on the game. The last thing for the day is a fancy dinner that a group of us bid on prepared by a professor. It should be delicious and fun. :)

That’s full on winter gear??…spoiled!

My husband and I took a week away together and headed to Breckenridge, CO!!
So today we:
1. Took the gondola to the top of the mountain
2. Walked around town and tried the best elk & bison jerky
3. And now in Frisco at Whole Foods

I love visiting other grocery stores in different states!!!!! And running here in CO is unbelievable!!! There’s always a view of the mountains!!

Reply

Today my fiancé and I:
Did our lower body strength routine
Took our puppies out to a field to play
Made delicious roasted veggie wraps
It was a great day!

Reply

Ran the Chosen Half Marathon with 4 of my friends, celebrated our accomplishment with a yummy lunch with our husbands and kids, watching movies in my robe with the hubby.

Reply

Shopping. With my sister. Without kids!

Since I’m reading this early Sunday morning, I’ll tell you three things I did yeaterday.
1. I had a cross training date with Pilates. Holy burn. I’ll be feeling that for a while.
2. My husband and I rearranged the living room and added a rug to the mix.
3. I made butternut squash soup for dinner, so good.

Reply

I am glad you didn’t spit out my m&ms.

Remember that time I tripped and spilled a tray of food all over? Good times. Good times. Megan the Klutz is the name of a book I used to read in elementary school. I wonder why.
