HELLO!! For the first time ever I’m going to do more talking on a video (at the end) than typing but I still have some pictures to share!
My mom and Brooke did some weeding and Brooke was so beyond proud of herself afterwards.
She earned a dollar from my mom and so we took her to Target after to pick out something to buy with her hard earned money.
While we were there we saw Megan and Lindsey… I don’t remember the last I went to Target without seeing one or the other there. We kind of all live there.
My dad loves taking pictures to add to his contacts and I caught him taking one of Andrew last night (look how happy my dad is). We all hung out outside for a while talking. Nothing better than summer nights.
For dinner we met up with a group of friends for Pizzeria 712—> aka the best appetizers (below macaroni and cheese is killer).
Pizza with arugula. Boom.
THIS WOMAN JUST COMPLETED THE SQUAW PEAK 50 MILE TRAIL RUN this last Saturday. She is amazing. The heat was unreal this year and she still rocked it… I wouldn’t be able to walk for a few weeks after doing that race. Amazing.
PS the elevation profile of her race. I can’t even imagine.

We have our first ever VLOG for you today! I’m not sure if I even answered any of the questions really but I did make sure to ramble for 15 minutes—> I am hoping I get better at actually answering the questions with more and more vlogs but Andrew rocked it so just listen to him:)

We haven’t taken our honeymoon yet. We are only 3+ years behind on that one. Oops. Will get to it eventually, but will probably have to call it an anniversary trip at that point!

oh my god I don’t think I could ever run a 50 miler! my body is so prone to injury, I’m sure it would be just the worst training cycle, but I’m so in awe and inspired by those who do!
dream honeymoon would be somewhere overseas. I’m torn between a beautiful beachside and a european excursion. so many awesome options. we even had a family friend who forwent gifts at their wedding and asked people to donate to their honeymoon and you could purchase activities and such for them to do while they were away and they had an awesome time doing all of them and sent the cutest postcards back!

I’m not a big cheesecake fan but I will say the cheesecake I do like is red velvet cake.
I think you should do your thing at the wedding. We really focused on what we wanted: dress, food, cake and of course music. We had a good time and we think our guests did…at least they told us that anyways. ;)

No 50 miler for me..heck, I’m still trying to tackle the 26.2. Honeymoon was 14yrs ago but I still think Hawaii is the best place to visit-especially the Big Island. Run was 3.6 miles on the treadmill at the ungodly hour of 4am as I have a late meeting today at work so it wouldn’t have happened any other way. Feel great now!

My husband and I only knew each other for three months before we got married. And I knew probably the second time that talked to him that he was “the one”. It was just different and there was a connection (like you say) that I had never felt before. We just celebrated our 11th anniversary and every day I still know that God led me right to him and that it was the best decision I ever gave to God. We did a 10 day honeymoon in Costa Rica. 5 days in the rainforest area hiking and lots of activities. Then 5 days beach side! It was perfect. And, who needs a wedding cake. Our DJ had a donut business on the side, so he would set up his little machine and make fresh mini donuts at the wedding!

I totally get what you’re talking about when you just know someone is the one. My husband and I dated for almost two years before getting engaged but if he had asked me after a few months I would have said yes. I don’t think there was ever a question for either of us if we would end up together.
We went to Hawaii on our honeymoon. So much fun! We stayed in a super nice condo (probably the nicest place we’ll ever stay) and had a blast spending our wedding money of food and adventures ;)

We did an all-inclusive in St. Lucia and we loved it! We actually just started thinking about another all inclusive for our 2 year anniversary next summer. I highly recommend Sandals. The resort was beautiful, the excursions were a blast, and everyone we met was wonderful. We did not swim with sharks (whale or any other kind haha) and I don’t know if it will be on next year’s list either :)

We’ve been married 1.5 years and didn’t do a honeymoon. We dated for 4 years and planned the wedding in 7 months so we didn’t have time to save for a honeymoon. We talked about going to New Zealand. We still want to go — maybe we will before we start talking about starting a family. :)

My husband and I did a Disney cruise for our honeymoon! You guys should look into one as a fun trip………………they are 100% family oriented, and have kids club things so you can get alone time without the kiddos…………….and they travel to their own private island in the Bahamas where you can bike and swim and have fresh cut pineapple and burgers on the island! And you can meet Disney characters. I don’t know if they always do it, but they had a 5k run on their island that I ran…………..cool to get a medal (made out of rubber so it wouldn’t get too hot in the sun) and say that I ran a race in the Bahamas.

My husband and I just got married this past September and immediately left for our honeymoon for 2 weeks. We drove around the North Island of New Zealand (it took 2 days of travel getting there!) for a few days, flew to Australia and did a 3 day live-aboard to dive the Great Barrier Reef and then spent our last few days in Sydney. My only complaint was it went by way too fast! My husband and I are big divers and just went to Belize to dive and earlier in the year is when the whale sharks begin their migration through there. They are HUGE!! They aren’t violent, just intimidating i’m sure. We plan to go back so we can dive with them! I hope you have an amazing time swimming with them!
And I can’t imagine running a 50miler… a friend of my aunt did a 50 mile race for her 50th birthday! crazy!

My husband and I honeymooned at a bed-and-breakfast cottage with lots of running and hiking trails nearby. We both LOVED it and want to go back someday when we can line up a sitter for the kids :) This place served breakfast at 9:00 am and then we ran trails and explored the area. It was wonderful!!!
Congratulations to you both on your engagement! I really appreciate your low-key style on the wedding planning :) My husband and I had a similar approach and it was a relaxing day, rather than stressful. We figured there’s no use in blowing a bunch of money on a huge wedding when we would rather save $$$ to invest in our newly married life (house, kiddos, etc…).

50 miler was my favorite race EVER! Mine had zero elevation gain or loss, besides climbing over a fallen log to cross a river FOUR times. When I had to do that at mile 30 something, I literally had to have my husband pull me back up. I was sore for DAYS. But it was AWESOME!!!!!! Post-pregnancy, definitely doing another ultra!

I knew the minute we met. Within a week we had people asking us “when are you getting married.” Within a couple weeks we were naming kids – none of which we used for real. But we didn’t get engaged until after 2 years of LDR. Married just shy of 3 yrs and honeymooned in St Lucia, plus some transcontinental driving to join our households. We had a renewal of vows on the beach years later in Jamaica and wondered why we didn’t do that the first time.

We went to Maui for our honeymoon and it was like living in dream world. It was perfect! We did a bunch of cool activities but also scheduled time to chill on the beach. We want to go back so bad!

I went on my dream honeymoon: South Africa. We did beaches in Cape Town, winelands just north, and Kruger for safari. It was amazing. And when they say you can not run at the safari camp…..they mean it. I did ask, and they looked at me like I had lost my mind. Not even small loops? Not even small loops…. =) But we did hike Table Mountain and go on a few runs in the city! Always the best way to see a new place.

Y’all are so cute! Love the vlog! We went to Mexico for our honeymoon as well. My favorite beach trip we have taken was to Hawaii. We went for 10 days two years ago and absolutely loved it. Can’t wait to go back! Hugs to you! xo
