FINALLY SOME OUTDOOR MILES (not being dramatic in the slightest) and bizarre.

A runner’s best friend during these summer months—> public water fountains.  This water fountain has saved me 100s of times.  The water isn’t cold but water is water when it is the summer and you are running after 7 a.m.

It has been weeks since our last run together and we needed this time together.

She is rocking my shirt and she will be wearing it for her MARATHON ON SATURDAY!?!  We did 7.1 miles together but I don’t remember our pace and my garmin is by Brooke right now—> she is taking a nap and I don’t dare wake her up;)

But here is a picture of her even though she is napping.

Today was a day full of errands including finding where in the world my passport was… FOUND IT!  That was a close one, I had no idea where it was.IMG 9583

Long story short I had a dr appointment this morning but then he had to go deliver a baby so I left his office, went and picked up my niece and we had a picnic outside the office until he came back.  My daily randomness is bizarre.

The only way she would let me eat this afternoon.

IMG 9588

Stopped by my mom’s house for a bit for some more wedding planning (well, to have her give me all of her ideas;)

And a quick hello from the smiliest baby ever.

PS Andrew wasn’t exaggerating this morning:

I am glad that you liked the VLOG this morning… be prepared for many many more in our future!  Enjoy the rest of your day and we are talking about race week in the morning!

Who has a marathon coming up? Which one?

During the summer months—> what time do you try to get your run in by each day?

Used a passport recently… to go where?

Chocolate and caramel or chocolate and peanut butter?!?

Let sleeping Brooke sleep. HA, I’m glad you outside Janae. It sounds like it was a really great run.

I try and run before 7 most mornings. Getting into a routine definitely helps me. Plus I like to have some time before work and not feel rushed.

No races coming up for me. It makes me sad. I’m so used to training for one that it’s weird not to be!

It’s currently 95 degrees here. You either run in the way early morning, or it doesn’t happen at all. Or you run on the treadmill, which is what I do because I am incapable of getting up at 5am and don’t want to run in the heat.

Nope, no use for my passport recently either. I want to go to Canada again soon though!

Chocolate and PB. No question. But if I’m doing chocolate and caramel, it should be cold so the caramel is chewy. Yum!

I love both chocolate-and-peanut butter AND chocolate-and-caramel. It just depends on the day/weather/mood/whatever which one I want. I also love chocolate-and-mint, but my nephew and and one of my old roommates thinks it’s gross. What is the world?!

WHAT?!?! How could they… that combo is amazing (not as good as the other two combos but still amazing)!!!

I try to get out for my run by 5:15 AM during the summer because it heats up fast here in MA! It’s so nice in the early morning though!
I wish I used a passport to go somewhere…. hopefully someday soon!
Chocolate and peanut butter, specifically Reeses!!

Reply

We went to the Bahamas last September. It was heavenly!

Chocolate and caramel!

I want your salad.

Chocolate and peanut butter by a mile for me!! Especially in ice cream form ;)

If it’s outside, 8:00 is my time that I really want to be done by. Last passport trip was to Ireland/Scotland/England/British Isles. Headed to Switzerland in a few weeks.
Chocolate and caramel for sure. No nuts in this house! Honestly, chocolate and peanut butter probably tastes better. It’s just been so many years since I’ve had it, I don’t remember.

I try to get my runs in before 8 or so, it gets way too warm after that! I agree with you, public water four aims (and bathrooms-especially since getting pregnant!) are lifesavers!!

Chocolate and peanut butter for the win, except my favorite is salty and sweet- I love dark chocolate/pretzel combo.

Aww I loved your vlog. You guys are really cute and are going to have the best wedding. I got married last year and it’s so important to talk about what means the most to both of you on the day and as long as you have those things then any other opinions or contributions are just extras! You can’t control everything and nothing goes perfectly so put your energy where your heart is. Mexico will be so awesome!

I’ve got my first marathon in 4 weeks woop woop!! It’s winter here now so I’m swapping from early mornings to night runs – I just need more sleep in winter. Xx

I am signing up for my 2nd marathon in November!
I will be using my passport to head to Europe next weekend, nbd. I’ve just never been there and I am beyond excited and probably won’t sleep at all for the next 10 nights!
I try and get my run started no later than 6, but we’ve had 100+ degrees for the last 2 weeks!
Can’t we just have chocolate, pb, and caramel?!

Angel Fire Marathon, 4th of July weekend! It’s getting close!

Chocolate and caramel is good, but chocolate and peanut butter, all the way. :D

I would love to run in the mornings during the week, but I wake up for work already at 5am. :( So I usually run in the afternoons outside and suffer the heat on my shorter runs (it is about 90 deg then) or I hit the treadmill for the longer runs. I try to get outside on my long run just after sunrise!

Lately, I’ve been getting my runs done by 6:30 am (mostly because of work, but I’m still loving the cooler morning temps!). I don’t have any marathons scheduled, but I have a couple of half marathons this summer that I’d love to PR on, so I’m working towards that right now! Plus, letting my toenails recover from my marathon in May (Does that happen to you? This was only my second marathon, but now I have a pretty bad track record for losing nails).

Brooke is quite the fashionista! You should do a blog post about her top summer outfits ;)
My first marathon is in December so I’ll start training for that soon!!
I used my passport to go to Aruba for my honeymoon last week :)
Chocolate and caramel or chocolate and peanut butter… I can’t answer that. That’s too tough.

Reply

I love those capris! Are they Brooks? I try to get my run started before 7a during the summer. No marathon coming up, but I have my first 10k on the road this Saturday (all of my 10ks have been on trails!). Used a passport to go to Spain and Italy a few months ago :) Chocolate and caramel all the way!!

Reply

I wish I had marathon training my foots been acting up so I decided to finally take some time off and just strength train. Now I’m sore all over and get no running endorphins:( praying I get strong and my foot heals…so fun I wish I can plan your wedding lol backyard with flowers and burlap?

Reply

Oooo and what might you be needing your passport for? International honeymoon plans? I’m so curious for all things wedding! (although I now see you VLOGged this morning but I was doing school work. Off to go find that now!

I haven’t used my passport recently but I am ABOUT to! I leave for Spain in a week!

Chocolate and peanut butter. hands down.

Reply

I had to use my passport when we went to Canada. A fee years ago I just used my non-driver ID. (Yes, you read that correctly. I don’t drive).

I try to get out by 8 or 8:30. I like to eat something first and I can’t force myself to get up early every day.

I love both, if I had to choose: dark chocolate with peanut butter. But I really like salted caramel too!

Reply

Chocolate and peanut butter! No contest!
I haven’t used my passport in like four years and it just made me really sad to realize that. I’ll have to get a new one sometime because I changed my last name.
My miles right now are mostly 1-milers, so as long as I go by 10 or so I’m good. Obviously I’m not training for anything!

That’s a cute baby!

I lost my shorts this morning and it made me feel like I was going crazy. Then I realized they were laying on the bed right in front of me. AGH!!!

Reply

Yeah! Sour gummy worms!

I did use my passport recently to go to Spain and Italy – what a trip!!!

Next marathon will be Chicago this fall!

Reply

I am definitely a chocolate and caramel type of girl. :) I always like to get my runs in as early as possible. But I usually do treadmill runs since I have two kiddos and use gym childcare, so heat isn’t an issue for me. I do love those outdoor runs though. :)

Reply

I’m running the Columbus Marathon in October – my first! I try to run at 6 am but sometimes (okay a lot) sleep in and run in the heat of the afternoon after work.

Reply

The last time I had to use my passport was going to Canada on an Alaskan cruise! Speaking of.. I don’t think I know exactly where mine is either:) haha. In the summer, waking up to run before work is way easier for me! But I also like to run after work around 5 or so even though it’s been super hot lately.

Reply

LOVED your vlog!!

And I pretty much have to run outside, the treadmill just kills me. I typically wake up pretty early in the morning and get my run in first thing, followed by a huge cup of coffee (:

Reply

I am using my passport this month! Going to Ireland and England and I can’t wait!!

Reply

No races sadly! Still getting back in shape after a fun few months of injuries. I love the heat so I don’t worry about getting my workouts in anytime of day, but it is hard to do any type of speed when it’s super hot. This time last year I was in Israel and that was my last passport usage. Hope to remedy that in 2017. :) Chocolate and PB hands down.

Reply

Chocolate and peanut butter for sure! Although those Kirkland chips are looking good too…I start training for Chicago the week after next!!

Reply

I cannot do chocolate and caramel together for some reason, but I love them both separately. They’re too sweet together. Chocolate and Peanut Butter on the other hand. sign me up and then some.

I’m nervous about the weather this summer … I think it’s gonna be a brutal one! I’m a pacer with my running club and our runs start around 6:30am … Wish they started earlier! When I go solo, I like to be on the road by 5:30!

Last time I used my passport … Memorial Day Weekend when I went to Paris!

Reply

That sounds like a fairytale (the Paris part, not the 5:30am part). But I’m with you on the early starts, that way by the time you gain full conciousness you’ve already done 1/2 your run!

Reply

Loved the VLOG! Y’all are too cute :) I’m trying to pick out a fall marathon. My main concerns are that it be 1) cool (temperature wise) and 2) flat (ish). We usually run by 5 a.m. at the latest here in the summer. Alabama heat is no joke! I haven’t used my passport since my honeymoon. I have no clue where it is. I’m really a big fan of chocolate, caramel and peanut butter. That’s just too tough ;)

Reply

No marathons but I have a 10k in July and I have the Falmouth Road Race in August which I’m SO EXCITED about!

I try and get my runs done in the morning before my little guy wakes up, so I’m usually out the door around 630am. I also take an Orange Theory class twice a week at 500am!

Chocolate and Caramel FOR LIFE! But I would never so no to Chocolate and Peanut Butter!

Reply

I used my passport this time last year. My husband had planned at 20th wedding anniversary trip for us and I thought we were going to San Diego. They day we were to leave I was told we were going to Paris!!!!

I have a half marathon coming up this Sunday. I’m not really trained for it but, I will schlep through. Lifetime half number 94!!!

I’m not a big fan of getting up early to run (unless I’ve signed up for a race) but hope to start running with a group called Back on My Feet that works to help combat homelessness through running. But its so darn early!!! :(

Reply

I’m usually an afternoon/evening runner, but when it gets too hot here in CA, I do run in the mornings on the weekends.

Used my passport to go to … Germany… in March :) (that’s where my family is!).

Reply

I try to run before 8.. but lately I haven’t been very good at that.

Last time I used my passport was to go to Vancouver in November.

Reply

Your nephew is so ridiculously cute!! And your dad taking that pic of Andrew – I just about died of cuteness!!

Reply

No marathon – but my husband and I have a “Wife Carrying Contest” (we won 2 years ago) I piggy-back upsidedown and he runs the course (it has obstacles as well). There has to be some payoff for our crazy size difference!!

In summer, I try to run at 6 am and if I run with friends or a group – around 8 pm.
Passport – use all the time as we drive to America every 2 weeks for cheese and gas and your fabulous candy!!

Chocolate peanut butter….oh so good.

The vlog was sweet as pie – thanks!! I am so happy for you!

Reply

Brooke is so cute. So excited for you to share more about wedding planning.

I’m running the Lake Placid marathon on Sunday! Super excited….. for it to be over!

Reply

Josse – That’s amazing you’ve bounced back so quickly from your IM! Good luck with your simple ol’ Marathon :)

Loved your vlog!! What about doing a donut wedding cake, I saw it somewhere and thought you would love it….actually better yet, an apple fitter wedding cake lol and then get Andrew his special cheesecake too! I am so happy that you found eachother, when you know you know! Hugs!

I used my passport recently to go to London and Amsterdam and then the Caymen Islands!! Lots of traveling recently and it has been amazing!!
