I love adult coloring books! They are awesome!

My husband was sick so we stayed in and watched a few shows on tv. Very exciting Friday night!

I get to go to trader joes this week! I’m so pumped! How did running win over donuts!? You have more willpower than me, that’s for sure!

Trying to motivate myself to run this morning but it’s raining here so I’m struggling! Working from 3-10pm tonight :( No fun Saturday plans for me.

Friday night was spent doing laundry…snore! Lol this weekend couldn’t get more boring!

Breakfast in a cataloupe? Genius! I could see so many combination in there with greek yogurt, cottage cheese, berries, oatmeal, etc.! Plans for today involve a spin class and a little friend’s birthday party. Probably dinner on the BBQ tonight. The snow finally melted enough to bring it back on the patio… yum… I missed BBQ so much ;-)

Ran 13 this morning after almost a week off sick so good to be back! Plus date night tonight so should be a good weekend :)

Reply

No big Saturday plans, just a run after work and some quesadillas at home with the husband tonight!

Reply

My husband had his wisdom teeth pulled so we stayed home last night and watched movies. No Saturday plans although I may try to squeeze in a a strength training workout. One of my coaching clients is racing today which is so exciting!

Reply

I’ve wanted to try one of those adult coloring books for a while. They look so relaxing! My Saturday plans include a dance lesson so my fiancee and I can start working on our first dance for our wedding.

Reply

No long run OR race this Saturday and I’m thrilled about it. Sometimes you just need a weekend off :) It’s a cut back week in my training plan so I’ll prob do 7-8 miles on the treadmill (cause it’s so windy and cold out) and call it a day!

Saturday plans – Trader Joe’s and wine shopping! My brother and sister-in-law get in tomorrow so gotta stock up with their favorite things!

Reply

At first I thought your foot was in your shoe in the picture where you’re comparing the color to your headband. I was freaked out/super impressed by your flexibility! haha. Doing 10 miles this morning, then going to Chicago for a bachelorette party.

Reply

Spin class today and lots of cooking to prep for a big week ahead!

Reply

Long run this morning! I stayed up way too late talking with my twin sister.?

Reply

Saturday plans? A run, a nap and a barbeque with the fam!

Conference, right when I need it, like usual. Colored pencils are the best to color with. I seriously debated getting a hasty potter adult coloring book for me because my girls love to color and I hate using their markers (the choice of coloring tool,I don’t understand).

I got to go to dinner with by brother who lives out of state and I haven’t seen him for almost a year.

Reply

Costco carries some of the best adult coloring books. The last time I was there I bought a Disney Themed princess book. Love it. Now, if I had time to actually sit down and color – but that’s a whole other story.

Today I am doing a 75 mile bike ride with a group of riders from around the area. It’s supposed to be really nice here (finally, sunshine) so I’m looking forward to getting out on the road.

Friday was spent watching some Netflix and baking and it was perfect. No shame at all. Today was 6 miles fueled by those baked goods and it felt really good, which was a huge surprise. Also loving that greenish headband, where’s it from?

Reply

Just finished my long run a little while ago! Friday night was spent going to bed early…in prep for my long run (and toddlers are exhausting!)!

What brand is your headband? I love how wide it is and it looks like it would stay put and keep all the annoying frizzies out of your face.

Reply

I get wide headbands that look just like that at Lululemon – they are a lifesaver. Keeps my hair off my face, no frizzies, and it looks super cute :)

Reply

YES YES YES!!! Mine are from Lululemon too! They are by far my favorite. I love the reversible ones too… it is like 2 for 1!!!!

Reply

I hope your long run was amazing today Danielle!

Where are those sandals from in the dessert pic? They are gorgeous! 5K along the seafront with my sis this morning and out tonight to dinner to surprise my mum for her 70th! :)

Reply

Thank you Alice… they were a splurge but they are so comfortable and I see myself wearing them daily:

I’m in love:) I hope your 5k with your sis (running with sisters is the absolute best) was amazing and enjoy the surprise with your mum!

What are your Saturday plans?
My Saturday plans include my longest run in awhile (8 miles) and hanging out with my pup. Perfect relaxing Saturday.

My Friday night was spent kickin a migraine and drinking tea. First time I had a migraine in a long time and I am thankful it did not carry over to today. However, super jealous of the weather by you because it’s snowing again in Wisconsin.

Also, two of my friends and I are taking a 10 day budget road trip to Utah and Colorado in the beginning of June. Definitely checking out the places you’ve mentioned and going to see those beautiful mountains you reside by. We plan on tent camping in state parks the whole time/hiking/adventuring.

Saturday plans 》I just finished an 11 mile run in BEAUTIFUL London sunshine. Tonight we’re off to a 30th birthday party but there’s a few hours of coffee drinking and relaxing before that.

Friday night 》dinner with my brother and his girlfriend. Delicious Indian food, yum!

I finally just stole my man’s adult colouring book because he wasn’t using it and I love it! XD

Today is picking up my race pack for a nice and easy 5K race tomorrow! Although I did wake up with a head cold.. Kind of dreading running while sick :(

Reply

Today is my 27th birthday! I’m going sailing in San Francisco.

What did you spend your Friday night doing?
I spent Friday night running 5 miles and eating pho. :)

Reply

AHHHH HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMMA!!! Enjoy every second!!! Sounds like a great Friday night:)

Reply

My mom was just telling me about adult coloring books the other day! Recently she has gotten into puzzles and coloring, haha! I will have to check one out!

Saturday plans include lunch with mom and then an easy, medium-long run!

Last night I went to the gym after work and the a/c was out. The high yesterday was 88 degrees so I ran easy for 30 minutes and then went home sweatier than if I had run 20 miles! haha

Reply

Our Friday night was far from exciting. Bed by 8:30! That frozen yogurt looks amazing.

Reply

That’s the smoothie I make the most often—> frozen banana + milk + cocoa powder + peanut butter. So good!

Reply

Last night my boyfriend and I had a date night. We went to a pub for dinner and then watched some TV.

Since I have finals next week this weekend will be about the studying.

Reply

I’m on the Amtrak headed to Washington DC for the Cherry Blossom 10miler tomorrow. :)

Reply

I like your headband! I was going to spin this morning because it’s gross outside, but our internet went out and I can’t spin without Netflix…so I ran, 7 slow, windy, rainy miles then had a hot grilled cheese. :)

Reply

Those are cadence 5 – yes? I just got mine and I’m not sure what to think yet. Loved my 4’s. These just feel a little stiff to me and hard on the sides of the heel cup. Hmmmm. Your thoughts . . . Do u run long in the cadence or have a go to long shoe?

Reply

They are the 5s and I’m in love. Like PURE love (hahah get it;) I just did 10 in them on Thursday and today they were perfect! I used the 4s for my last marathon training cycle and they worked great. I haven’t noticed the stiffness but I did notice the heel cup which actually works really good for me because I need a little bit more structure in my shoes the older I get… does that make sense? I’m in love with how comfortable the tops are (the cushioning makes my feet feel like they are in heaven. I hope you are having a beautiful day and let me know what you think after some more uses with it too. I had a similar problem with the Pure Flows… I loved the 1s and 2s but not the 3s so I just kept buying the 1s and 2s:)

Reply

I love those books I have two as well and they are so relaxing! It has been a weekend full of crafts for me! I just felt extra creative! Made a vase and some very pretty kitchen decorations :) Wild Friday ain’t it?? hahaha! No running for me for another week since my foot is still healing… :(

Reply

My first moments of the day were similar: debating whether to run or to just stay home and make pancakes. Running won, with 13.5 miles (the last 1.5 being a bit rainy), although my stomach was acting weird again today… that’s been a thing this week. Hopefully it won’t continue.

Last night I watched the documentary about the Barkley Marathon! Super interesting and crazy!

Reply

Been marathoning for several years and have totally neglected shorter distances. So, despite having run 6 marathons now, I raced my 2nd 5k ever today, albeit without 5k specific training. However, my marathon endurance kicked in! Won the masters division and finished #5th female overall (out of 718)! 21:44 time (7 min pace). I see this as my baseline since I just finished my last marathon 4 weeks ago, so excited to see how much i can improve!

Reply

I couldn’t help but notice your ridiculously cute sandals in your Golden Spoon pic. I would love to know where you got them? Love your blog!!

Reply

Hey Susan! Thank you sweet girl!! So…. I kind of splurged on them but I do that on items I know I will wear every single day for a long time! Here is the link and I hope you are having a beautiful day!

Thanks so much! I totally know what you mean about splurging! I’ve had the same sandals for almost 7 years and I’m having a hard time parting with them. ?

Now to decide what color?

Ford Island Bridge 10k race this morning. It was about 75 out and the sun was beating down, but great crowd and run!

So of course my Friday night was lights out early.

Reply

So good to see you and your sister running (that’s your sis in the picture, isn’t it?). Looks like she is doing well! My Friday was chilling out watching TV. Had my last long run today (22 miles) for my marathon training and I wanted it to go well. It did :)
That dessert looks so delicious. It made my stomach grumble!

Reply

Friday was spent studying, Saturday was spent shopping for Mexico and Sunday is BLUE JAYS GAME DAY! Yay!

Ps. Your ice cream makes me drool. Seriously!

Reply

Your headband kind of does match your shoes!

Reply

Today was 10 miles…. longest run for me since running a marathon at the beginning of the month………

Running and donuts won for me… I ran, went to grocery store, and stopped by a donut shop on the way home! Scored cool mom points with my 6 year old!

That smoothie looks awesomely delicious!

Reply

I see your peanut butter-banana smoothie! ;) Try adding a generous amount of cinnamon to it next time, it’s amazing.

Reply

How much of each ingredient goes into that smoothie? Maybe I could get my picky 3 year old to drink a smoothie if it was chocolate.

Reply

The weather was so amazing yesterday! I loved it!!! Your breakfast looks amazing!

Reply

Cantelope is my favorite!! Love adult coloring books… I spend hours coloring in them..so addicting!

Reply

Just to be clear… Your headband is from Lulu? It seems like a must-have ;)
