I hope your Wednesday is going as well as her day is so far:
My latest upper body strength routine is pushing Brooke on the swing for an hour straight;)
Some new snow in the mountains… as long as it stays up there I’m happy.
I can usually get myself to enjoy(ish) the treadmill and fight off any boredom but today was not the case. I finished 6 of the planned 8 miles. Maybe it was because it is such a beautiful day outside and so I was wishing I was outside or maybe it was because we all just have those days where our brains aren’t in it or maybe I just really need to zone into race mode or maybe I’ve just had a little bit of a mind draining week so far and that played a role. Who knows but it happens.
Gymnastics afterwards with Brooke and all of her tramp practice at my sister’s house is paying off in class.
Also, I can’t stop snacking for the life of me today. These. Thank you mom for always having these in your pantry.
Long story short—> 2 years ago I went to Thailand and on one of my last nights there we ate Indian food. I was crazy sick (giardia:) within a few hours of eating and ever since then I haven’t come near Indian food. Until today for lunch. I faced my fears and it actually tasted really good. There was some sort of vegetable curry that stole the show for me.
You know how we all have those things in life where once you start you can’t stop and then you look at the clock and 30 minutes has gone by and it felt like it was only 2 minutes? Motivational youtube videos are one of those things for me.
This Michael Phelps one= I have watched 10 times now. Wow. It gave me chills. It’s my new favorite. I love when we are able to see glimpses into how much work/effort/pain/time these athletes put into their sport to get where they want to be. Should have watched this before my treadmill run this morning;)
And then this one popped up after and it made me extremely excited to watch the Olympics this summer.
What is your snack of choice today?
Favorite Olympic sport to watch?
Any major time sucks for you?
