‘Our’ place and I BELIEVE.

Brooke was in charge of choosing our Thursday afternoon activity.

IMG 4320

After much deliberation, she chose playing with play-doh out on the grass.

IMG 4311

Her final creation:

IMG 4340

I put the Brookers to bed at my mom’s house and then I was off to celebrate Jess and Paige’s birthdays.   Jess will have her baby in 4-5 weeks!  I can’t wait to meet that little baby and then hit the trails with her again:)

IMG 4361

You know how you have certain spots that you always eat at with certain people?  Shoga is ‘our’ place.  We get the salmon salads and lick our plates clean while trying to catch up on everything as we talk a million words per minute.

This huge salad is $8.something.  I am always shocked with all of the goodness on the plate that they don’t charge more.

IMG 4344

And across the street is a Yogurtland.  I don’t think we have ever eaten the above salmon salads without eating at Yogurtland afterwards.

Coach, next week I will work on my sugar intake.  I. pinky. promise.

IMG 4346

YL had a maple donut flavor froyo and so logically they had donuts as toppings.  Genius.

Mary sent this glossary to me just in case you had any questions on donut names.

DONUTS

I got to see Paige’s puppies (well, they are getting a lot bigger now) afterwards.  I need to borrow them for a run.  And for some snuggling.

IMG 4355

Speaking of animals, in case you were wondering…  Brooke’s animal of the day was a kitty cat and so all meals were eaten like so:

IMG 4306

My cousin sent me a picture of this shirt.  I believe in pizza.

IMG 4363

Speaking of my cousin (man, I need to think of some new transitions for my tangents)… I just came across this picture of me giving my cousin a bath when we were little girls.

IMG 3471

Time to get my yoga on.

We have a busy weekend up ahead.  9 miles on Saturday and less than a 24 hour trip to California for Brooke to see her dad.  It’s going to be jam packed but of course you’ll hear from me all along the way.

That salad looks incredible for the price! My 4 year old lives for play doh too but it’s always inside and drives me nuts with the crumbs. My girls and I are seeing Taylor Swift with friends Sat night, so fun weekend ahead :)

This weekend I’m painting our master bedroom (finally).

I have two dogs. I have a dachshund/whippet mix and a lab mix puppy. They have incredible energy, but that is good because so do I!

I have a lab and a mini dachshund, one is calm, (the lab) and the other hyper. They are my babies and I can’t imagine life without them.

Happy Friday!!!

I work on Saturday morning and I’ll probably do my long run on Sunday morning since I don’t want to start 12 miles at noon on Saturday when it is supposed to be 102 degrees. No thanks.

We have an almost 10 year old lab. Sometimes he is like a puppy and then he will walk up the stairs like an old man just to remind us that he isn’t!

Have a great weekend!

Wow, eight dollars for all of that salad? I’m in serious shock, that’s awesome. Brooke’s play dough creation looks about like mine if I were to attempt making anything.

Pregnant like woah. Almost 32 weeks and feeling it every single day! Still trying to workout 4-5x a week though and doing pretty well on eating right!

This weekend I’m going back to my hometown of Pensacola, FL for one last visit before we move to Alaska! Going to our favorite restaurants and to see a baseball game on the water with my parents. Can’t wait!

Reply

I plan on spending my entire weekend on the beach reading and soaking in some vitamin D!

I have a 5 year old yellow lab Kona and he is an absolute menace. I love him to pieces but he is BEYOND crazy :)

My boyfriend and I have our Mexican place, our Italian place, and of course our “splurge” place. I love trying new restaurants but some of our old favorites are still the best!

We don’t have any big plans this weekend…woohoo!! I’m pacing a training long run for a group, but that’s it!
I have 2 King Charles Spaniels! One is wired with energy and the other is a snuggler.
Happy Friday!

Tomorrow is my bday :) Since I am almost 37 weeks pregnant, we are keeping it low key and celebrating with some mini golf and ice cream!
P.S. I have been craving a donut for weeks and that chart is making me drool. Too bad there aren’t any really great donut places around me. I think I will have to settle for a grocery store donut asap!

I’m hanging at the pool and eating as much froyo as possible this weekend. I’ll get my long run in there, as well. :)

I love this place called Taco Joint, and I also got to Panera and Potbelly as much as possible. Yogurt Zone is my go-to froyo place. So.good.

My cousin is getting married this weekend! (As is one of my very good friends, but she isn’t allowing kids at her wedding, so…can’t go…)

We have a 5 year old beagle/terrier mix of some kind. We found her in a corn field when she was 2 months old. She is SUPER hyper! Like… she was kicked out of puppy daycare because she would scale the 8 foot high pens to see what else she could play with when she got bored with the puppies in her own area.

At the moment, I don’t know anyone expecting, but there was just a huge baby boom. 5 women I work with/friends with all had babies 2 months ago!

Reply

I have my first long run of marathon training this weekend (!) then afterwards I’m hitting up a Kenny Chesney concert :)

Reply

I have a three year old puggle. He’s is the sweetest little thing and is always either sound asleep or super hyper. He just wants to be everyone’s friend (unless you’re the postman).
Those salmon salads look amazing. I need to find somewhere around here with salads like that.

Reply

I’m still stuck on the fact that the salad cost $8. Not even extra for avocado? That’s impressive. I have a cockapoo and he is “medium” on the scale of hyper. He’s so friendly and just gets excited to see people so that’s what makes him a little crazy. Have a great weekend!

Reply

Those salads looks amazing, and perfect that yogurtland is right across the street! This weekend we have a block party on Saturday afternoon and then a 5k on Sunday!

teeeeechnically I don’t have a dog, but I helped raise my brother’s golden retriever, Molly, so she’s basically my dog. I love her to death: she’s always happy, always wants to hang out or play, and loves a good run!

Reply

I have a dog. She’s calm, only not around new people. Than she’s hyper. She’s an eskipoo. American Eskimo and poodle mix.

Have a great weekend and trip.!! My weekend will be way less busy.

There is a great BBQ place in the Metro Detroit area called The Union Woodshop – everything is smoked and delicious!

Almost 12 weeks pregnant and still running 3’ish miles every chance I get!

Safe travels to California!

Our place is El Nopal which is just across the border from us. It’s so cheap and soooo yummy, and the margaritas are the size of our heads! I’m racing a half marathon on Sunday, so I should probably register for it today!

Reply

That salad is so yummy looking! This weekend I work and then its low key while the husband studies for the Bar. Our places to eat is Whole Foods with the husband {kinda weird but so good} and with one of my good friends El Toro!

The best places in my area are Chipotle and there’s a brick oven pizzeria! Also, a restaurant with gourmet grilled cheeses!

that salad looks amazing!!! :D

I have a cocker spaniel. He has been the most mellow sweetest dog ever. We got him when he was about 1 1/2. We rescued him from the animal shelter and he has been my ever loving companion ever since. Sadly he never got to be my running buddy, he just turned 16 and I just started running a couple years ago and he is well beyond his prime.

Reply

Weekend plans = running, cycling and watching my nephew play baseball.
We have a red lab and she is mellow, but goofy (she never gets really hyper when she knows its time for a walk and she doesn’t ever bark at the doorbell….it’s weird but I love it). We have a group of friends and we always eat a local Mexican restaurant downtown–we should venture out but we never do.

Reply

weekend plans = a glitter 5k with my mom and some friends, staining my friends deck and RELAXING.

i am watching the misters dog while he is gone and he is the best dog ever. so cuddly, doesnt bark ever.. i’m debating stealing him :)

Donuts AS toppings? Yogurtland, you are an evil genius. I must go there asap. Did you try the maple donut flavor? How was it?

Good luck on your run tomorrow and with your busy/crazy weekend. I see more fro yo in your future;)

Reply

Taking photos at a Bat Mitzvah tomorrow and then Sunday i’ll hit the road for a 7ish miler and chores afterward. Not a super exciting weekend. But I’ve had quite a few super fun weekends lately so it’s ok.
I have a labradoodle. He’s calm when I’m calm and active when I’m active. So perfect! I’m biased of course. But he truly is the best dog.

Reply

I have a chocolate Yorkshire terrier. She loves to play outside. She’s about 10 pounds and she is a great size. I train on an old horse track and she loves to run alongside me for a short distance. When I leave she is very good alone even when not in her kennel. She is very calm and she only barks when someone is ringing the doorbell.

This weekend I am doing a triathlon. I am very excited

Reply

I have a dog named Selma! I volunteer at a dog shelter as a dog walker, and I knew as soon as she came in that she was my dog. She’s a lab/beagle mix and the est dog ever! She’s hyper occasionally but mostly calm. She loves to go on runs and hiking in the woods. As you can tell I absolutely love her!

Those salads look great! You can`t go wrong with avocado on anything.

I’m going to visit my parents at the beach:-) I kinda can’t wait.
We have a Boston Terrier named Spenser. I guess he’s in between. He’s generally pretty mellow but when people or dogs get to our house he gets hyper for about the first 10 minutes.

Reply

I have a 9 year old Maltese named Milo. He is the sweetest little guy and still is a spunky pup with lots of energy! (which I am very happy about). Have had him since he was just 4 months old :-)
I have my sister’s bachelorette party tomorrow- doing The Color Run, Brewery Tour and then out to dinner.
Have a great weekend :-)

That salad looks so good, especially for the price! I have a chocolate lab who is 1 year old, so she is pretty rambunctious!

This weekend I have an 8 mile group run, I’m hosting my in-laws in our new house for the first time (a little nerve-wracking!), and hopefully some relaxing in there somewhere. Have a great weekend!

Mini donut topping?!?? The coolest. I’m heading the the BEACH on Sunday Abe I am SO EXCITED. I lived at the beach for almost 15 years before we bought a house in the boonies, snd this will be our first beach day with our son.

Brooke eating her food is hysterical! My kids used to do that too when they were being animals….they would even lap up their drinks from a bowl!

I have a pointer and she is very hyper and extremely high energy! She can easily run 20 + miles…which is exactly what I wanted when I was looking for a dog!

Reply

Donut on froyo? That’s genius! I need that. My weekend plans is figuring out what to do about my car. I was rear ended last night by a motorcyclist. Thankfully everyone is all right, but my car isn’t. I’m supposed to be going to LA on vacation next week. What a way to start your vacation right?

I have 2 dogs, Hurley (named after Hurley from Lost) who is a puggle and when he was a puppy he had SO much energy! Then there’s Pepper (named after Pepper Potts from Iron Man) who is a Dutch Shepard (she’s brindle color and has white socks – she’s so pretty). So there’s my life story! Ha!

Weekend plans – recovering from my two and a half week trip to Salt Lake, Washington DC, New York and Boston. So much fun, but so exhausting and I missed my family like crazy!

I really want a donuts on my frozen yogurt now. Way to set the bar to such high unattainable levels.

We have a king Charles spaniel, she’s a sweetheart, but dumb as bricks. Perfect for young kids though.

Reply

Weekend Plans- sleeping in and putting in a 6-7 mile run in the heat.

I have a mutt that I sometime run with. She is about 3 and really hyper. We live in the country, but she gets herself in trouble with the neighbors, so she has to be kenneled when we are not home, so I think that is why she acts so hyper when we let her out.

Reply

I just love Brooke, she is the cutest.

My weekend plans consist of coming home for the weekend to see TAYLOR SWIFT! I’m so excited and worse than a 12 y/o but don’t care, at all!!!!

I have a golden and he’s always been super calm.

Reply

I’m so jealous of your Taylor Swift concert! Enjoy!

Reply

I have 2 dogs. Both of them 11 years young. I have a golden retriever who is super laid back and mellow-except for Friday temper tantrums-he knows the weekend is coming and cuts loose. My border collie is high strung and always on the go. Also one of the noisiest critters!

Reply

Brooke is genius. Play doh in the grass means no mess in the house!

Jelly donuts are so dear to my heart… They all look tasty though! We have a border collie and he is SO laid back. He’s also an “old man” in dog years, at 9 year sold.

Reply

Weekend plans: heading to Austin Dog Rescue’s event at Twisted X Brewery to promote ADR as well as Best Friends Animal Society’s Annual Strut Your Mutt event. Look for one near you!
I have a Labradoodle named Somnus. He’s a crazy crazy hyper boy, but I love him to pieces and he is my buddy!
One “my” places with my husband is Pluckers Wing Bar (he is the media department head/graphic designer there). I’m a vegetarian, but they’ve got awesome salads for me! If you’re ever in Austin and like chicken wings, this is the place to go! ;)

Reply

I have 2 husky-malamute mixes and my husband and I both love them to death. Back in the day, the older one would come running with me every morning and by evening he seemed like he was ready to go another 10k. Crazy! He’s al,out 14 and too old for that anymore. The younger one is pretty lazy, but when we were up in Canada last winter I took him running in the snow and it was so clear he was in his element.

Reply

I have a 4 yr old black lab named Sage and she is very easy tempered. She can play and run or chill out with the family. Easy going day for me and then racecation again this weekend up to wine country in the Portland area fur a half marathon.

Reply

Now I want donuts really really bad!
I’m 33 weeks! Noah’s going to be here so soon, time is just flying by now!

Reply

Going to try to do a trail run tomorrow if I can get up and motivated before the heat sets in.

3 dogs. Two are bernese moutain dogs and one is a pyr/chow mix.

Frontier Cafe, Cole farms, Best Thai and Ben Kay…to name a few. I mostly eat at home tho.

Reply

I have some running to do tomorrow morning and then a wedding to attend! :)

I have a weimaraner that lives with my parents. He’s a 3 year-old baby and is crazy hyper, but we love him!

And, I have a couple spots I always go to! It’s just so comforting when you find somewhere that is good and tastes the same no matter how many times you go.

Reply

I am having a party to to celebrate the grand re-opening of our pool! it was a hot mess before, but we gave it a long overdue makeover!

I have a 5 year old greyhound! He is a retired racer from Daytona Beach and I adopted him 3 years ago. He’s black and white, so we named him Oreo (his racing name was Oshkosh Cyclonic, so yeah we had to change that). He’s such a mellow guy, hard to believe he reached speeds of 40+ mph when racing. Total couch potato now and it’s like having a giant cat in your house. Taking his retirement seriously, you know. Awesome dogs…Oreo is actually our second greyhound. Our first grey was a red one that everyone thought looked like a deer.

My husband is very into craft beers, so we frequent a lot of gastro-pubs in our area. Very creative and yummy cuisine. For a quick takeout option, we can never go wrong with the hot/cold bar at Whole Foods! Love their kelp salad!

Nope, not preggo because I have already been through that two times!

Reply

No big weekend plans for us, but I love it that way! The next two weekends will be jam-packed so a relaxing weekend is just fine with me.

I love Bone Fish and Ford’s Fish Shack for nice restaurants, and for quick meals I like Panera and Chipotle.

Reply

love the t-shirt!
