-And some mornings you just kind of have to start with a few pieces of chocolate because you are a girl and chocolate is just kind of important sometimes.

Summer needs to stay around for sure because I am going to be very sad when it is over. I had a swim/pool run workout + weights today. I am either milk chocolate or dark chocolate. Only white chocolate if it covers pretzels! BTW, that salad looks amazing!

Agree about summer! I love it so much and get depression in the fall in anticipation of winter.

I haven’t worked out yet, about to get to it and debating between strength and yoga. I’m dying to run in the gorgeous weather we have today but injuries seem to keep interfering with that plan! Maybe I’ll take a page out of your book and hop on that bike today.

Also: Milk chocolate. I know I should say dark chocolate because it’s better for you but there is just nothing better than a really good quality piece of milk chocolate. Mmmmmm…

Lol of course it’s her favorite site, it’s a site all about her! What girl wouldn’t love that?

Today I did a 45 minute bike ride, which has been a nice change of pace from running truthfully. It works my legs in a whole new way!

Dark chocolate & milk chocolate = awesome. White chocolate isn’t even real chocolate so it gets a thumbs down. Plus it’s usually too sweet for me!

My workout today is going to be hot yoga. i’m pretty obsessed with it right now.

I have to admit i don’t like chocolate. I’m more of a sour patch, twizlers kind of gal!

I haven’t worked out yet today, but last night I did a 17-mile NYCM training run — my furthest run ever! I definitely had to practice a few of the traits listed in that article!!

Hey I totally love those Acai berries you’ve got! Good choice!

This marnin’ I took a light run on the farm to recover from yesterday…did pull ups and then rode my little pony. Some days I just don’t feel like sweating much. Today was one of those:)

I’m going to super sad when summer is over as well..enjoy it while it lasts!

My workout this morning was strength training and about 1/2 hour on the elliptical. I’ve finally starting keeping track of the weights/reps I do, so now I can actually mark my progress.

I’m with you about summer…please don’t end!!
I like chocolate but when it comes to dessert I usually pick fruity over chocolate. It’s taken me a couple of years but I actually like dark chocolate now and prefer it over milk chocolate.

I haven’t worked out yet today, but I’m planning to run on the treadmill in about 30 minutes on my lunch break!

these enchiladas would go great with your corn salad. I took them with me to my ward party last night and was asked for the recipe several times. Just add a little cumin to the sauce.

Dark Chocolate Almond milk!!!! The best hands down and my to-go-to after an intense workout!

You MUST try that corn salad recipe!! It is AMAZING!!! I make a similar one where I add chunks of avocado to it. Plus for the dressing I add more lime juice and less oil. I’ve been dying to make this salmon recipe: http://damndelicious.net/2013/11/13/sesame-ginger-salmon/ a friend made it for me one time and it was so good.

I love salads with strawberries :) Just made one last night with arugula, strawberries, jicama and kabocha squash with a coconut honey lime dressing that came out good! I’ll have to check out that running article. I might be in need of some mental toughness to survive the summer.

I think I genuinely prefer dark chocolate at this point, it’s plenty sweet and has a richer chocolate flavor, but as a kid I was obsessed with white!

DEFINITELY dark chocolate. I like all kinds and may or may not have up to 4 different brands in my desk on any given day. What? I can stop any time I want.

Over the years my taste buds have grown up and now prefer dark or semi-sweet chocolate over milk chocolate. Not that I would turn down a chance to eat some milk chocolate though! I never cared for white but it’s not terrible. I can still eat it just don’t go out of my way to and wouldn’t order it if I had a choice.

My workout today was hill repeats! It was finally cooler out so it felt great. I always dread hills but I end up glad that I did them.
Milk chocolate is my favorite, but I like dark chocolate, too. I’d probably pass on white chocolate:)

Honestly I am all meh about chocolate. It doesn’t do anything for me. I do love an almond croissant though.
I will be running with the Trinidad and Tobago Road Runners in preparation for a half marathon at the end of this month.

DARK. And the thought of someone not liking chocolate is enough to make me cry. Hard. That’s just terribly depressing.

Box jumps get my heart rate up like CRAZY! It’s been forever since I’ve done one though. This morning I did a quick full body workout before work and hopefully I’ll have time to do more this evening when I get home!

I love summer so much but my body doesn’t deal well with the heat so although I hate when it’s over, it’s a relief when it’s not so hot. Woke up early to go on a 30 minute run before the heat kicked in and it felt great to get moving early on!

Who doesn’t like chocolate? Is that even possible!! Definitely milk chocolate, hate dark which sucks because it’s the healthiest but I just can’t eat it at all without feeling sick but love white!

I have been wanting to try a dessert recipe that involves brownies mixed with cookie dough and ice cream with fudge for the longest time. I pinned it on pinterest ages ago, and just haven’t tried it yet. I really like milk chocolate and white chocolate, but the taste of dark chocolate just isn’t good to me. Some think I am crazy, but it just isn’t my thing. I recently read an article on what running does for you vs. other workouts, but I can’t for the life of me remember where I read it!

I used to be obsessed with chocolate but luckily that addiction has died down! I want to make a dessert that has crushed Nature Valley bars, a layer of yogurt/cream cheese, and a layer of strawberries. Perfect for summer!

Only dark chocolate except for peanut m and ms. Then I can get the milk chocolate coated ones.

I took the dog for a walk. My ankle tendonitis and calf hurt today so I might just take a rest day. Or just bike easy later.

My workout today was running until I tripped over the sidewalk and tore a hole in my knee. I’m such a baby for flesh wounds; the blood just undoes me.

As I read the 5,000 straddle box jump I look down at my belly after a “great 5 mile run” I thought I had (not to mention it took me nearly an entire hour to finish) and started to laugh.

Today was my rest day, so I didn’t have an official workout. But I swear that the amount of walking/going up and down stairs that I do everyday could totally count as one.

As far as chocolate goes, I try not to discriminate, because it is all so good…but I would have to pick dark as my favorite.

This mental toughness article is awesome! I was just thinking about how I need to mentally toughen up today during my workout. I was struggling and I felt like I wanted to stop. But I knew I wanted to get it done and feel amazing afterwards. It worked :)

White Chocolate! I’m actually not a huge chocolate person but I do love the occasional white chocolate chip cookie.
No workout today- rest day before Saturdays half.
But I did lose a toenail! Running is so gross sometimes!

Any kind of chocolate. I love milk chocolate – always have – but dark is more sophisticated and healthier so I reach for dark chocolate now, especially flavored with mint or fruit. People who don’t like chocolate are weird to me.
