Summer Running Clothes, FINALLY!

It is amazing how the filter on the iPhone can make it look like I actually have a calf muscle.  Technology these days is quite advanced.

Hit up the treadmill this morning so that I could run whatever my body felt like doing and stop when it told me to stop.  I lucked out and felt really awesome so I did 10 miles @ an 8:12 average.

My good friend Jess met me there and we ran side by side, I am glad my friends think that meeting before dawn to sweat together is the best type of social activity.

SUMMER RUNNING CLOTHES!!! FINALLY!!! I will not be missing wearing 4,000 layers and gloves and falling on the ice when I am out running.

My latest favorites:  Brooks D’Lite 4” Low Rise Short and the PureProject Seamless Tank!

The shorts—>  I LOVE the thick waistband.. why don’t all shorts have a thick waistband to avoid cutting into us?  They are super lightweight, there is a great zipper pocket (for me to put my Salted Caramel Gu that I am now obsessed with).  I love the stretch fabric that they are made with and the little pattern thrown in on the sides.

The top—>  This will be awesome to use when running in the summer heat (or the 140 degree gym like this morning)… super breathable, soft and light.  I also love the cute pattern in the fabric on the back.

IMG 1062

It’s sad how happy it made me that I got a front row parking spot to the gym… heaven forbid I walk a few extra feet to get inside to go run on a treadmill.

IMG 1042

Came home and made some wooden cookies.

NewImage

Brooke then experienced her first ever green smoothie…  She loved it.

IMG 1067

The smoothie was delicious but the real winner was this glazed poppyseed bread.  If you need some delicious bread in your life, this is the one to make.

IMG 1068

I also got time with my college roommate/partner in crime/soul sister and Brooke’s future boyfriend.

I just really love Runners Connect and for the last few days I have started to do the exercises that they recommend for runners to avoid injuries!  ARTICLE HERE!

Try them out!  I really like running and I really don’t like injuries so I am making these exercises a priority in my training.

You have the cutest workout clothes!! I just spent my first winter in the midwest…I don’t think I remember what shorts feel like!!

I am definitely craving pizza for dinner (and breakfast and lunch…) but I think that may just be finals week getting to me…

Reply

No running for me until October at the earliest. I want to wait 6 months post-hip-replacement before I even try. My fave shorts are just cheapie black Target short shorts. I just filled all my food cravings at lunch. Some amazing vegan taco things that I wish I could make myself (I got taken out for lunch today).

Keep an eye on the cranky quad!

Reply

I’ve had too many running injuries to count! Right now I have hip pain due to a growth on my hip bone – not fun!

I have been craving sushi at all times lately!

Reply

I have a cranky hip too! How did you find out about the growth (MRI?). What is your treatment. Take care.

Reply

Yes – I had two MRIs. Surgery is the next step which I’m trying to avoid!

Reply

I have a lil twinge in my knee right now but I’ve had it off and on for ten years (for real!) and I know if I do knee strengthening exercises it makes a huge difference!
I’m doing cauliflower “rice” for dinner with chicken. And then I’ll need some chocolate later :)

Reply

I’ve found that keeping my mileage relatively easy as well as having a very supportive shoe has kept me pretty injury free lately. I’ve PRed and done minimal speed and worn big clunky shoes. But I obviously am not always injury free (knock on wood).

Anyways I always love the instagram filters…they make me feel like I’m ripped (spoiler I never am).

Reply

My current injury is a severely stubbed toe… lame I know. I’m really craving cookies. No? That’s not dinner? I’m not sure who came up with these rules.

I’m a big fan of the Nike Tempo shorts because you don’t ever have to worry about them riding up.

Reply

holy smokeS! is that first picture of you janae?! DEM CALVES! I’m envious!

Reply

Agreed, the pattern on the top is so cute!

If I don’t have to work late, I plan on making pizza in a lasagna pan for dinner. Trader Joe’s refrigerated dough with tomato sauce, cheese, and whatever toppings look good. A little messy, but so delicious and so easy.

I am not injured but I feel like I am walking a fine line right now!…and I DO NOT like it! Sat at a bout mile 5 of my long run my knee started hurting and it got worse so I cut it short at 9 and did a whole bunch of stretches and drills and icing…I know it is my IT band. Sunday off, Monday it felt great, Tues not so much….SUPER frustrating! I know you feel my pain!!!! Tons of stretching and icing and today felt better again but not completely gone so I know I can’t push it and I want to :)

Reply

I just picked up a pair of Brooks running shorts today after leaving my other ones on colorado. The thick band is my fav.
I do yoga. Power yoga. It gives me such a good stretch .
Dinner= cafe rio

Reply

Running Shorts = chub rub :( This thick girl sticks with capri’s or the super tight running shorts (but not too short, thanks Nike for making various lengths)!! I am craving a Salmon Cobb salad for dinner :) …and I’m pretty sure I’m going to make it happen!!

Reply

Not sure about dinner, but I have a HUGE piece of strawberry shortcake waiting for me. Carbo loading like a champ. :)

Reply

Amazingly, I’ve never had a running injury that has kept me from running. Aren’t I supposed to be knocking on something right now?

(I do have an achilles thing going on right now that is totally stiff when I first wake up, or after a long run, but I never feel it running).

I DID however, have a really stupid falling down the stairs at Thanksgiving and spraining my ankle badly injury that kept from running for about 3 weeks. It made me sad.

I think my trick is just not over doing it. I only run fast on track or tempo days. Fast being relative, of course. And I try to average around 25 miles/week with at least 2 rest days, unless I’m deep in training for an event. But I’m also not winning my age division. I figure if I go injury free for long enough (my goal) — I can win my age division when I’m 80. :)

Reply

I love your goal! You are doing awesome Doni! Thanks for sharing your tricks:) Have an awesome day and no more falling down stairs!

Reply

I had a veggie burger + huge salad for dinner — it hit the spot!

Reply

Currently dealing with peroneal tendonitis :(
I can’t wear shorts because they creep but I can do a skirt with compression shorts underneath. Sigh!

Reply

I just have really tight calves right now that are really sore with walking, but they aren’t really hindering me from running that much. I just need to do lots of stretching.

Reply

Id love in running shorts if I could!

Reply

I have a pair of fantastical shorts from Lululemon (that I received for my birthday). I’ve been wearing them a lot these days. Love the spring weather!

Reply

Janae help me!! I started getting serious about running about 6 months ago, and I’m now suffering my first injury as of a few days ago…it’s a constant, nagging (but somewhat dull) pain in my outer left hip. I stopped running, and have stuck with elliptical, but I’m going crazy! I feel like life without running is like going through a break-up! I have a doctor appointment on Friday to try to figure out what’s really wrong (according to Google I have everything from a stress fracture to bursitis to arthritis and back again). The worst part, besides the fact that I am Type A about training and in LOVE with running, is that I have my 2nd half marathon on June 1 and the thought of missing it makes me wanna bawl my eyes out. How do I stay positive through this??

Reply

Emily, I am truly so so sorry! I am glad you are going into the doctor though! I hope you get better asap! This post might be able to help:

Reply

That post is full of reminders I needed–thank you!! I have so much respect and admiration for you, not just as a runner, but as a woman, mother, and inspiration to many! And you’re freakin hilarious. Rock on, chica.

Reply

Emily, sounds like a tight IT band. As Janae says, roll, roll, roll ;) Learn to love your foam roller. Good luck!

Reply

I’m craving lots of things right now. I’m trying to do the Whole30 thing to reset my body to not crave sugar. I’m on day 3, so I’m still detoxing I suppose.

I only miss chocolate. Of course. Who wouldn’t?

I’m kind of injured at the moment. Trying to keep it at bay with lighter runs and stopping when it hurts, but really I probably need to see the chiropractor to work on my knee, IT band.

I hate running in shorts. I sweat way too much, so I’ve never found a short that doesn’t ride up due to excessive sweating. TMI.

Reply

You know I can’t get enough Nike Tempo shorts. <3 <3 <3

Since we have our group track workout tonight, I'M CRAVING SPEED FOR DINNER!

But I jaykay. I totes want a cheeseburger. ;)

Reply

I like that you post Runners Connect articles! I’ve been using their online coaching program for about a year now. It got me through my first half marathon last year and it’s going to get me through my first full marathon this year.

Craving for dinner?? Not sure yet – I’m just really hungry right now so I could probably eat anything.

Reply

Right now I have a weird foot pain which I think is some kind of tendonitis. So no running this week :(. But dinner is grilled salmon and parsnip mash. Plus carrot cake for after.

Reply

I went through a period of having a string of injuries and I’m pretty sure it was cos of not doing enough core/strength stuff and not balancing out my nutrition properly. Not mistakes I’ll be making again! I’m working hard to make sure I don’t get hurt any more :)

Dinner was a turkey/cheese bagel and some fruit because I’m in the middle of exams and super stressed and busy :( Only 2 days til Friday thank god!

Reply

I don’t have a musculoskeletal injury from running, but I am so anemic that I can’t run. My red blood cell count is really low due to iron deficiency that slowly crept up on me while training for my marathon. I could literally not go 1.5 miles for my long run last weekend without dying from fatigue and shortness of breath. Taking iron pills now but it will probably be at least 1-2 months before I’m back to normal. Dinner = anything with iron!

Reply

Oh Anne! I am so so sorry! I hope you get feeling better soon and keep getting that iron in. Keep me updated on how you are doing!

Reply

Anne – I suffer with anemia (off and on) as well and can totally relate to it. I have been taking Pur Absorb (recommended by a friend)…they use it with chemo patients and I LOVE it! It gets your iron levels up very quickly without all of the harsh side effect (one week versus 6 weeks for me). It is a liquid form and you have to mix it with Emergen-C, or it will taste like you are drinking metal, when mixed, you cannot taste it at all. You can find it on Amazon (Walgreens as well)…about $20 for a month supply, but well worth it. Hope this helps, it has been a life saver for me! Anemia and running do not mix well!

Reply

too bad it feels like winter again today! but, yay, at least it is warming up for the most part :)

Reply

I’ve never had an injury related to my workouts….but I’m not a long distance runner (have done a few marathons & half-marathons). I love to teach fitness classes and lift weights/do core. I think those things are key to helping me stay injury free!

NICE calf muscles, girl!!!

Reply

My tendonitis in the past seems to be related to too-minimalist shoes, when I wear very supportive shoes it really helps. Also I find it hard to believe those calf muscles are just a product of the iphone!

Made turkey meatballs and roasted butternut for dinner :)

Reply

Dinner? I just ran 4 miles in SUMMER RUNNING CLOTHES!!!! IN 80 degrees! Therefore I lost my appetite and I couldn’t be happier since I just decided I want to drop another 25 pounds. I think I will run everyday in the heat just to lost my appetite. ;)
I’ve been saying that I don’t feel like a real runner because I have never lost a toenail or had a bruised toenail. Well, I finished my half marathon last Saturday and did NOT get either of the above. UNTIL! We were shopping at Trader Joes and I accidentally kicked the cart wheel with my pinky toe. Now it’s bruised so bad I’m wondering if it WILL fall off! haha

Reply

Well that’s a surefire way to injure yourself. Good luck with your plan of not eating….

Reply

I’ve had shin splits (but not as bad as when I was a sprinter) and a few bad DOMS cases but *knock on wood* no big injuries. The thing is – is that I am NOT a hardcore, everyday runner. If I don’t feel 100%, I do not run. If I feel something going, I take it easy. Am I getting awesome-sauce, super times? No. But I have been PBing my own time and getting stronger with running – it just has taken some time.

However…. Ask me if I have ever had an injury after completing my first marathon ;-)

I’m wanting hamburgers for dinner – but that is every day!

Reply

Brooke and her little boyfriend are too cute :) And that poppy seed bread looks amazing! I’ve been having IT band problems that I’m trying to work through, but I’m not completely out of commission (knock on wood), so I can’t complain too much. I’m craving chocolate chip waffles for dinner, but I should probably fill up on fruits/veggies first :)

Reply

I am not injured thank goodness but I just got over not long ago a stress fracture and injuries are the WORST!

Reply

Yeah, I am pretty injury prone! I just have found that it’s better for me to run, bike and swim (+ weights and yoga) instead of just focusing on running. This way I can get some running in, but hoping to keep my body healthier! I am loving my 2 days of swimming (worked my way up to an hour without stopping).

Dinner is STEAK. Craving it and having it!!

Reply

I don’t have a favorite pair of running shorts – I don’t really love anything I have, but they work.

I’m injured right now (sciatic nerve damage), but I’m not sure if it’s from running. So for now, I’ve been ordered to not overdo it, which means running no more than 1/4 mile per day; right now, even that lithe hurts waaaaay more than it should. I really want to run a half next year, so it’d be great if I could heal real quick-like!

Reply

I was craving a burger earlier today so I text my husband and said that should be the dinner plan – no he is manning the grill while I sit on the deck and read a few blogs – perfect!

Reply

Until Sunday, I was on the never-been-injured list. Now I’m working through a gnarly arch sprain. No stress fracture and it’s not the dreaded PF…thank goodness. But it SUCKS nonetheless!

I love my Under Armour compression shorts or my Old Navy running shorts. Old Navy’s running clothes are surprisingly good and CHEAP!

Reply

I’ve never had a running injury (knock on wood!) but I am a newish runner.

My favorite running shorts are Nike and Target’s C9 shorts. I got an awesome deal at the Nike outlet this weekend on shorts. I am so excited.

I am craving pizza for dinner, like always. I am making taco casserole with leftovers. It should be good.

Reply

LOL totally with you on the wide waist band in running shorts. I mean, who wants to whip out the spanx for a run?? I want a wide waist band that doesn’t cut into me and doesn’t rise or fall when I move. No one needs to see the bottom of my butt cheeks or the top of my butt crack ;)

Reply

I’ve never had any serious injuries… *knock on wood*… I had a hip flexor issue for like 2 weeks last year and couldn’t run at all. The issue was running a half marathon on shoes that weren’t working for my feet. Now that I change my shoes around every 350 miles, and have found a new pair of mizunos that work for my feet, nothing has happened in over a year. I also have to take rest days, not so much by choice but just because of my schedule… they do help in the long run, even though I’m annoyed at the time that I can’t fit a run in!

I ran xc in high school & always got shin splints the first week from trying to do too much too soon, but I haven’t had those in forever.

Thick waistband for the win! I am about to make salmon. Happy Hump Day!

Reply

I don’t even plan anything smart. I just come home, grill chicken, throw it in a bowl with crushed tortilla chips, some black beans, some white rice, salsa, avocados…hmm…what else is in the fridge that would spice it up? And there you go. That is basically my meal every day after work.

Life is good.

I love the picture of Brooke..looks like she’s doing some dynamic stretches.

Reply

I rarely run in shorts, there’s the whole issue of chafing and I hate when they ride up! If I do wear them, they’re compression style so there’s no sketchy bunching going on.

I really just wanted to eat candy/ice cream for dinner, but I made myself a bowl of rice, black beans, kale, and avocado. I still want ice cream.

Reply

I love Oiselle shorts! Game day, distance, and rogas…they are all awesome I am also so excited to wear summer running clothes again!

Reply

on the injured list again…

Reply

Yep, injured right now. I’ve got peroneal tendinitis and a bone bruise in my foot. Haven’t run in 8 weeks, but it’s looking like I may be able to start soon! Before this the longest time off I ever had to take was 2 weeks, and I had never missed a race due to an injury (now I’ve missed 4), so this has been a trial and a huge learning experience.

Reply

Love my random nike shorts that I found at Marshalls…no idea what style/name, but they are perfect. For dinner I was craving a burger adn ended up going out to order a burger with maple mayo, caramelized granny smith apples and bacon. Obviously it hit the spot and was perfect.

Reply

Omg! Yum!

Reply

that sounds incredible!!!

Reply

Yay for Summer running clothes!!! Loving this article! Are those wooden cookies gluten free:) ha!

Reply

Brooke is such a cutie!

I have bursitis in my hip… Sounds minor but I’ve missed 3 marathons and haven’t run since January. So I live through you!

Reply

Spaghetti squash with meat sauce topped with brocoli – yum!

Reply

Not sure if this counts as a running injury or just a naturally wonky body, but I have fallen arches on both feet, and a neuroma in my left foot. This leads to a LOT of pain in my feet, ankles, knees, and hips whenever I run on a consistent basis. I need to go to a running store and get fitted with proper shoes, I know, but I’m only a year out of college and dealing with loans….so not exactly the most practical time to invest $150 in shoes. :( On the bright side, my joints seem to tolerate weights pretty well, so I do that quite a bit. As Tim Gunn would say, just gotta “make it work,” right?! ;)

Reply

I am actually a Skirt Runner. I ditched the shorts a long time ago and traded them in for Skirt Sports. I do love the looks of your new Brooks gear though :)

Reply

No injuries at the moment- thank goodness!

I still haven’t had dinner since I had a late lunch!

Reply

I’ve had shin splints pretty bad which may or may not count as an injury. I am currently shopping for a good pair of running shorts that don’t cost as much as a prom dress.
I wasn’t craving anything in particular but since I’m racing this weekend (and picky eater hubby is out of tow tonight), I have wheat pasta with mango, strawberries, avocado, spinach and tilapia. It was amazing and I can’t believe how much I ate.

Reply

Knock on wood! I have never had a running related injury. I think my secret is I’m young and I don’t just run. I lift, I do yoga, I cycle, and I think it makes my body strong enough to no get hurt. Knock on wood once again, I want to keep in that way!

Reply

I have had to ice and stretch my knees and hamstrings the past three days, which means zero running. I feel so sad, but I have gotten to know netflix a lot better and got some cross training in. My favorite shorts are my Athleta stability shorts and my favorite running top is my Lululemon racerback. Food ahh I have been craving cookies!

Reply

On the bright side I’ve never had a running injury, though half marathons have been my longest distance.

On the downside I did have a ski injury in Japan and I haven’t been able to run or any training since end of Jan. I literally can not wait until I get the clear to some miles on the treadmill. Would prefer a trail run in the beautiful fresh air but right now I’ll take anything to turn my legs over,.

Reading you fantastic blog and comments has kept me going – thank you!!

I’m really craving pizza right now, I’m in Australia and it’s just hitting 5pm so dinner is on my mind.

Oh and I absolutely love Lululemon running shorts, they’re the bees knees!!

Reply

I unfortunately have been injured….and it sucks!! In fact, I am injured right now and I had to miss a race last weekend. I have a race in 2 weeks that I will be really disappointed if I don’t get to run. I have an adductor muscle strain…which I think I got from yoga…yeah…YOGA….thinking I was doing something good for my body actually backfired. I think the instructor pressed me down too hard in pigeon pose and it overstretched my muscle. Very disappointing. I hate being injured. This fall I had another injury…severe shin splints/stress fracture in my shin and I was out for a long time. I just want to run !

I love a pair of Brooks shorts that I have…not sure of the name!

Reply

I’m really digging running skirts… they have to be pretty short, and i’m just trying out a bunch of different brands… bleieve it or not my fav one so far is the one I bought at Target!

Not only am I craving it, i’m def getting it and a lot of it..lol.. SUSHI SUSHI SUSHI!!!

Reply

Ugh I had really bad IT issues last year for about 6 months in both knees…NOT FUN!

I am loving that outfit! The color of the shorts is amazing! My favorite running shorts are Nike Dri Fit (not the tempo shorts) but I actually don’t know the name of the style that are my favorite…they just are a much more flattering fit!

Reply

I’m injured :( But I’m on the mend and am hoping to be back within the next two week. Strained hamstring and it’s going on 2 months!

Reply

It’s not truly an injury, but I’ve been sick with strep/the worst cold in the world for the past week… and haven’t been running because it’s that bad (usually I try to run a little bit!).

Reply

We had an awesome pasta dish for dinner last night! And I have been injured more times then I would like to admit! :) I also love getting the first spot at a store or gym, all my friends are like, “you run marathons and you like the least amount of walking possible?!” ha

Reply

Mmm, I love salted caramal Gu. I just bought a whole box last night! Did you know they are coming out with a salted watermelon flavour for the Rock n Roll marathon series? I will have to run one just so I can try it!

Reply

My favourite running short is the lululemon run speed short. I love wearing crops throughout the cooler months but then I definitely switch into shorts for summer running and workouts.

Last night we had pita pizzas and it really hit the spot.

Reply

My fave shorts right now are the Nike ones that you wore at your half over the wknd…i am now obsessed with them and going to go to Dicks tonight to get the other color!!! haha i’m just wayyyy too in love with running clothes. I need a job that will pay me to wear running clothes all day. SO basically….I want to be a runner all day/every day/all year long lol.

DINNER will be grilled salmon, corn on the cob and quinoa! :) YUM!

Reply

I’m just getting over a horrible knee injury that caused me to miss two big races. Taking it slow and learning to train smarter now.

Janae, what size do you wear in Brooks clothing? :)

Reply

Brooke’s future boyfriend looks like quite the tough guy :).

I’ve had injuries in the past. Is it possible to be an injury-less runner?

Reply

I am thankfully not injured right now. My first running injury happened within a month of starting to run regularly (3x a week). I increased my mileage way too fast for my fitness level, and a sprained a hip muscle. Took FOREVER to heal.

I really want pizza for dinner tonight. Since I’m the adult, I can make that decision, right?!

Reply

I have been consistently injured on and off for a 4 years wtih plantar issues and tendonitis with both feet! Currently going to PT and getting Graston done. I think it’s helping?? I am optimistic I might be able to do a few races this year! My favorite shorts are a boy short type from Asics. No place to hold anything though but super comfy. Craving roasted veggies for dinner with a side of hummus!

Reply

Thankfully I’ve only had a small bout with shin splints which were healed with rest and compression socks seem to help. Also, for some reason the treadmill can make my shins nuts so I stay away when it flares up. I broke my hand while running this year, but that had nothing to do with actual running, it was the falling that was the problem.
Favorite running shorts: honestly, when I’m doing distance in the heat (it gets super hot here) I have to do biker shorts. Not cute, but they keep the chaffing at bay.
I’m having Rubio’s (Mexican place) with two of my favorite people tonight and that sounds amazing!

Reply

YUMMO! Bookmarking that poppy seed bread recipe now…

Reply

not injured right now (fingers-crossed) but my sister is :-/ she strained her adductor muscles in her hip…how? the world may never know

favorite running shorts are the Adidas boston running shorts …not sure what they are called tho. love them.

Question for you..I have been doing some reading on the proper way to fuel before/during/after a training run or race. would you be willing to do a blog post on this? I think it would be really helpful…for me at least! haha!

Reply

I have been super lucky and have never had a serious injury. I have had some soreness and swelling in ankles, knees, hips, but nothing some rest, ice and ibuprofen can’t cure. Knock on wood!!! I think it is because I cross train a lot-biking, volleyball, HIIT, etc.

I usually run in Nike running shorts and a fitted running tank. Comfy and Nike has a lot of cute patterns and colors.

Reply

I’m injured. Plantar Fasciitis. Your blog makes me miss running more than anything else honestly. I have a RW sitting on my coffee table and I refuse to even read it…

Reply

Ah, to be one of those people who can run in shorts. I would love to be one of them, running freely without blood dripping down the inside of their thigh and making everyone else wonder if maybe she got her period or something because obviously there’s something wrong.

If I want to wear something that isn’t capris, I get a Sparkle tech sparkle skirt.

Reply

Injury – too funny. This is what I JUST posted on FB: I really dislike it when my body will not do what I want it to do. Or perhaps a better way of saying it…. it will do it but then punish me for it for way too long.

Been dealing with sciatic nerve and hamstring issues for 3 years. 2 surgeries later, still dealing with it. I love to run and have been back at it for about 6 months now. But the pain is back with a fierce force.

Reply

Curently fighting a stress reaction in my tibia and a partial tearing of the ligaments in my ankle :(

Reply

I’m injured! Booooo!! I have anterior tibialis tendonitis….I’ve been ordered not to run/aggravate it for another 1-3 weeks (I’ve already been not running for about 10 days. HEEELLLLLPPP MEEEEE!! ) I have the Seattle RnR marathon coming up in about 6 weeks, so this is looking a little frustrating!! Gotta work on my core!

Dinner tonight….I’m craving a really big taco salad. And ice cream!

Reply

I have not had any injuries in over 6 years of running – I started at age 40 with C25K… I really believe in rest days, as much as we hate them. I can only allow myself to run 4 times a week max before I start to get into trouble. I’ve been training (e-coaching) with Jeff Galloway for a month now in preparation for my first marathon in October, and I honestly believe his run/walk program is genius (I used it to complete my first 1/2). I also heard Bart Yasso say on a podcast that “a rest day NOW is a day in the future (i.e. when you’re 80!!) that you get to run!” I would rather run till I’m 80, then burn myself out in 10 years by running 6 days a week. Moderation in all things is the key, and I LOVE running, I just know that I can’t do it every day or that is setting myself up for injury.

On my non-running days (I have heard to avoid things like cross fit, etc) I do gentle stretching and yoga and yoga has made the biggest difference, I am much less tight and I think it is helping me to avoid injury! Dinner tonight is tilapia with lemon butter and spinach risotto :)

Reply

I just got spring/summer fever myself and I am super excited to break out my warm weather clothes. I still hate running in the heat of the day, but love to get to wear my lightweight workout gear and no gloves, earmuffs, etc. P.S. Can’t wait to try the Glazed Poppyseed Bread!! Thanks for the recipe :)

Reply

Haha I love the wooden cookies, too cute!
