Christmas Movies… What’s your favorite?

Just go ahead and add ‘eating mini marshmallows every day’ as another way to Fight the Winter Blues.

I told them to make serious faces.

It is amazing how long I stayed in my workout clothing yesterday.

I got to pick up my sister’s kiddos from school and they kind of know that it is just part of the routine to get some sort of delicious treat after school when they see my car pull up to get them.

My chin was cold, that is why I had to keep it in my jacket.

Caught redhanded getting into Curly’s money.

IMG 5268

I got to hang out at my sister’s house for a while and watch her color her own hair.  Seriously.  She does it herself.  She went to hair school and she is pretty darn talented.

IMG 5230

She also makes the best lasagna in the Western Hemisphere, I could live off of lasagna.  I love that most of my pictures always have little hands in them… that means I am in good company for the majority of the day.

Second dinner happened at 9 with some street tacos.

And who can name the movie?

Day #10 of Christmas Traditions was watching part of Elmo’s Christmas with Brooke.  She is beyond obsessed with Elmo and she calls me Elmo now.  I think this one may have been her favorite.

PS A lot of people have asked about the sweatshirt in the below picture.  I got it at Utah Run and you can find it HERE!! It is the most comfortable thing you will ever wear in your life.

Do you color your hair?  How often?

Favorite Christmas movie?  I need to know this one so that I can make sure to watch all of them this season.

Four Christmases! I love that movie!!! I would have to say that movie and Fred Clause are my favorite Christmas movies. I have never colored my hair!

Good COLD Morning from NY (just had to get that out of the way before I commented)… two favorites 1. Christmas Vacation , 2. Little Women (the newer version), it’s got snow scenes in it, so a Christmas movie :)

Reply

Marshmallows definitely help fight the winter blues, especially if they’re a bit melted from a hot beverage! Brooke’s cardigan just kills me!
I’d have to say Love Actually or Arthur Christmas are my fave Christmas movies! If you haven’t seen Arthur Christmas (a cartoon), you should with Brooke and your nieces and nephew!

Reply

I love the color of that sweater! I color my hair at least twice a year. Depends how dark I want to go and how hard I want to work to keep it dark. While I was pregnant I didn’t color it so I feel like the last year I’ve tried to make up for it :)

Reply

Favorite hands down…Love Actually! Makes me happy. My boys and I are obsessed with Holiday movies, a couple more we watch a lot: Home Alone (and #2), Polar Express (comes in just behind Love Actually for top spot!), the 3 Santa Clause movies, and all the shows on ABC family…Frosty, Chipmunks, Snoopy…our DVR is about to blow up from all the shows.

Reply

I have never (and really never see myself) coloring my hair!!

That movie in your pic above is 4 christmases! my fave xmas movie is good old Christmas Vacation :)

Love that sweater as well!!!! I wish all cute athletic clothes were 50% off if you prove your true love for that specific item… or if you beg with “pretty please!!!!!” :)

Reply

My sisters and I love “I’ll be home for Christmas” with JTT and Jessica biel!

Reply

HOME ALONE! ahhh just watched it the other day on TV. Also, Miracle on 34th street (the remake). I remember watching it on repeat when I was a kiddo thinking that the boyfriend was so dreamy and hoping I would marry someone as cute as him! gah!

I have a hair coloring obsession. Highlights/lowlights I love ’em all. I love going to the salon and having it done- makes me feel all pretty and special. Plus, my natural color is dirty dishwater ash blond, not so cute. (at least that is one of the ways I justify doing it!)

Reply

Marshmallows are a requirement in hot chocolate. And plain too. I found a gas station that has them by my house and it’s the only one I’ll go to now. So good. Elf is by far my favorite Christmas movie- it never fails to crack me up. I love the running jacket! You have the cutest running clothes :)

Reply

I color my hair in some fashion (highlights, lowlights, all over) every three months. Not that I want to, but I have to:(

My favorite Christmas movies are mostly old ones: Holiday Inn, White Christmas (Bing Crosby theme here) and for some reason they play Meet Me in St. Louis around the holidays and I love it!

Reply

I think they play it around the holidays because it has Judy Garland singing her awesome rendition of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. Love that movie!

Reply

Four Christmases! :-)

My favorite Christmas movies are: Home Alone, Elf, The Grinch, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Santa Clause 1

Reply

Four Chrustmases! My favs are the grinch, Christmas vacation and the Santa Clause. And so many more, I love them all haha I haven’t had hot cocoa yet but plan on changing that tonight!

Reply

that is a cute hoodie! thanks for sharing. your kids/family are the cutest

Reply

I color mine only to cover the grays. (I’m only 31, how do I have so many greys!!??) My favorite Christmas movie is by FAR Home Alone. I also like The Family Stone… it’s so bad it’s good. :)

Reply

Used to color my hair, but haven’t in about three years.

I LOVE CHRISTMAS MOVIES!! In no particular order: The (original) Santa Clause, Elf, The Grinch (old and new), Polar Express, A Christmas Carol, Four Christmases, Three Days (made for TV movie that is awesome!), Frosty, Home Alone, and so many more!!!

Reply

Four Christmases! Love that movie!

I get my hair colored buy my hairdresser/amazing colorist ( been going to her since I was 9) I get semi-permanent so I go every 3-4 months.

Other Christmas Movie Favs: A Christmas Story, Home Alone, Elf and Frosty the Snowman :)

Reply

OH MAN…and how did I forget Christmas Vacation!?!

Reply

I haven’t colored my hair in about eight years….I figure I will save all of that money for when the grey inevitably arrives ;)
My favorite Christmas movies are The Grinch, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and Elf.

Reply

Curly’s facial expression just made my day. Slash I want to meet your sis and her kids. Slash I’m just gonna come over and pretend like I’m one of the fam. I’ll sleep on the treadmill.

Reply

I just watched an old fav, sorta Christmas-y movie last weekend – While You Were Sleeping. So stinkin’ cute!

Reply

Yes I do color my hair about every three months; otherwise my “natural highlights” get taking over. I just cant imagine doing it myself so you sister is talented! Those tacos look so good. Love mexican food and can seriously eat it just about every day.

Staying in your work out clothes most of the day isnt bad, I do it all the time. That is what I tell myself when I buy some really cute work out clothes :)

Reply

This is more in response to your “Winter Blues” post but don’t say jk when you say reading HRG is a good way to fight winter blues! Your positive attitude has gotten me through more than a few days (and kept me on my treadmill) even though I’ve never met you. You rock!

Also, my favorite Christmas movie is Love Actually. It’s a little melancholy but still beautiful at the same time. Besides, who can resist Hugh Grant dancing by himself!?

Reply

I went through one of those “cool girl” phases of coloring my hair EVERY color under the sun for about three years. I have been blonde, every shade of brown, red, and even black…. I haven’t really dyed it in a long time outside of my recent pink and blue tips which rocked but the pink faded too quickly ;)

Favorite Christmas movie: Elf, Christmas Vacation, and The Santa Clause (#1). Also, I am fully aware that those are three different movies and not just one like you asked. As a former teacher yourself, I’m sure you know, we don’t like to listen to directions.

Reply

If I’m in the mood for a feel good movie- Love Actually. If I’m in the mood to laugh- Elf.

Reply

Ugh. I guess my brain is fried. I forgot about Love Actually! Love it!

Reply

Me too! Exactly :)

Reply

I totally do color my own hair now! Both of my sisters are hair dressers (yes, both) but because are kids are practically triplets (seriously they were born within 3 weeks of eachother) I can never get on their schedules because we somehow convince our mom to watch our kids…and 3 infants is just crazy! :) But I actually love doing it, and I’m not too shabby if I do say so myself, ha!

Those street tacos look amazing! I have recently fallen in love with the salmon tacos with mango salsa at Tia Rosa’s! The next time you come down to AZ, you MUST go have some. They are that good.

Other than the classic – Christmas Story – my favorite Christmas movie this year to watch with the kidlets is Babes in Toyland! Love that movie!

Reply

I do color my own hair and it turns out just as nice as the salon–except for $5.99 instead of $70.

Elf, because “We elves try to stick to the four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns and syrup.” And although I’m not technically an elf, I strive to eat like one.

Reply

Hmmm that’s hard! Probably Home Alone or Elf! And I’ve never colored my hair, I’m too scared to! I’ve always wanted to go dark, but I have a strawberry blonde color with natural highlights and everyone always compliments it. I’m afraid it won’t come back the same!

Reply

I dont color my hair- I actually like my auburn color! My fave holiday movies are Home Alone and Its a Wonderful Life! Cheesy…I know. Lol

Reply

I used to color my hair to save money (I’ve never gone to hair school) and it always came out good. Recently, I went and had it done professionally and loved it! I’m cheap so I wait til it grows out a bit before I go back. I used to color it 6 times a year but I’m hoping to do it 3 times a year now.
Favorite Christmas movies, Love Actually-I actually hated it the first time I saw it but my husband loves it so I gave it a couple second chances and now I love it too. Elf-obviously, Bad Santa-hilarious, raunchy but good story at the end of the movie, It’s a Wonderful Life-Classic, A Christmas Story-Another classic and filmed in Cleveland, The original The Santa Clause movie (made in the 80s), Holiday in Handcuffs-with Clarissa Explains it all and Slater. It’s funny and kind of cheesy but I love it.
Can you tell I like Christmas movies?
Four Christmas-Love Reese Witherspoon, A Family Stone-Need to put this on my watch list before the holiday is over, Home Alone! I actually just watched one of the Home Alone remakes recently (4 or 5) and it was pretty good.
I guess if there is a Christmas movie around, I’ve probably already seen it..multiple times.
Oooh don’t forget The Holiday and the MistleTones!

Reply

Four Christmases! I love the scene where they are playing Taboo. YEEES!

My favorites are: Christmas Vacation, Christmas with the Kranks, and The Holiday (<—top fave).

And now I have to run out and buy mini marshmallows, eat half the bag on the drive home, then make hot chocolate. Thank you.

Reply

Four Christmases! I cried in the theater the first time I saw that movie. Such a sap. My favorite Chrimmy movie is actually a scene in a movie and it’s from You’ve Got Mail. Sorry not sorry. PS – What’s a street taco?

Reply

I love all their serious faces!! I use to color my hair, but now I’m just growing it out, and there’s probably about 4 inches left to cut off!!! OMG I love that movies you posted! What’s it called….Four Christmases! Favorite holiday movie. I think I need to go get some coffee and load if with marshmellows, thank you :)

Reply

Four Christmases!! I have to watch that this weekend–I will be a hermit with coffee/hot cocoa/wine all weekend. it’s supposed to be cold and the man and I are ‘on a break’ so I need all the cozy comfy time I can get.

love that sweater–hate being broke.

Reply

My fave Christmas movie is definitely The Santa Clause. That’s the movie that to do this I still have to watch with my mom :) It’s so funny and cute!

Those tacos look so good. I’ve been obsessed with tacos lately and eating them about 3-4x a week! I am trying to break the habit but I think your picture is fueling my addiction today :)

Reply

* That’s the movie that to this day I still have to watch with my mom.

Reply

Those street tacos look awesome! I may need to make something similar for supper tonight!

Reply

We watch the hang over! Couples retreat is a good one too!

Reply

Four Christmases :) And I watched it last weekend.

I do color my own hair and I’m having to do it about every 4-6 weeks now because I’m getting more grey :(

My fav movie to watch with the kiddos is either Polar Express or It’s a Wonderful Life.

Reply

I get highlights about every 7 weeks!

Reply

They say the grey is “distinguishing”…I agree, it distinguishes me from the younger crop…but I will never color it. (I am sure that was geared towards the ladies)

My favorite Christmas movie is of course “The Christmas Story”. Pure classic

Reply

I must color my hair every 6 weeks from a sorority sister. We gossip for 2 hours and she gives me a good deal. Cant get much better than that!

Must. Watch. Four. Christmases.

Reply

The Santa Clause is my favorite!

Reply

I color my own hair about every two months. I don’t do it with the tin foil though, I use the little cap that you pull hair strands through. My mom taught me when I was younger, and I’ve been doing it ever since. I probably go 1-2 times per year to get it professionally done just to even things out. I would love to get it professionally done all the time, but it’s wayyyy too $$$ for us right now.

Favorite Christmas movie: Miracle on 34th Street!

Reply

I’m torn between Love Actually and It’s A Wonderful Life. All about the cheesy sentimentality at Christmas :)

Reply

Love that Hoodie from Utah Run!! I am .2 seconds away from ordering one for myself; but one question for you — did you get a S or M???

Reply

I’m in the same spot- totally going to buy it! Not sure whether to order small or medium..

Reply

My sister colors my hair about every 6-8 weeks. I get my supplies at Sally’s.

Favorite Christmas movie we always watch together as a family is The Santa Clause with Tim Allen.

Also, love Home Alone (the New York one) Chevy Chase A Christmas Vacation and of course, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

Reply

Love Actually is my favorite and I have my hair colored every 4 weeks!

Reply

I color my hair every two weeks! Ha. Sometimes the same thing but I change it up – dark to light, highlights, full color, etc… White Christmas (oldie) is my favorite holiday movie.

Reply

Four Christmases!! I love Elf and Love Actually… and it’s tradition for me to wrap presents while watching Christmas Vacation. I also go on a Harry Potter movie marathon.

I used to color my own hair.. until I messed it up. Never again!!

Reply

4 Christmases! I own that movie. So cute.
Favourite Christmas movie will always be national lampoons Christmas vacation. The santa clause is a close second.

Reply

The Holiday.

It’s my favorite year round movie too.. it’s such a guilty pleasure haha

Reply

Home Alone is my all time favorite christmas movie!

Reply

I used to colour my hair all the time when I was younger — rebellious teenage phase and all ;) I’ve been blonde, red, black, brown, streaked, solid, chunked… Eventually I just got tired of the upkeep so I stopped with the dyes a few years ago and I think my hair is thankful for it.

Movies! Elf, The Holiday, Love Actually, Rudolph, Frosty, A Charlie Brown Christmas, The Grinch, Home Alone, A Muppet’s Christmas Carol… so many gooders.

Reply

I color my own hair every 4 to 6 weeks. There have been a few mess ups in there for sure!!! Thankfully I have an awesome stylist who can fix anything!

My favorite Christmas movie to watch with my daughter is Polar Express. My favorite all time is Holiday Inn.

Reply

Four Christmases!! So funny! I really wasn’t expecting that movie to be as great as it was. Also, I talked about Holiday Movies on my blog today too! Great minds think alike ;) Also, also, 7-11 hot chocolate is really the best deal this side of the Mississippi

Reply

I color my hair every 4 to 6 weeks. I pay a girl I found by luck at Cost Cutters and quizzed her mercilessly (my dad was a hairstlylist so I knew what to ask) and ten years later she’s a dear friend. I drive to Colorado Springs from Denver now since she moved. Lord if she ever stops I’ll be so sad.

Reply

It would be lovely if your sis could post a “How-To” on coloring your hair and save me a lot of $$$$….has she thought more about starting her own blog?!

Reply

three Christmas movies I have to watch every year – All I want for Christmas, Home Alone, and remake of Miracle on 34th street.

I color my hair every 12-15 weeks

I want those TACOs! We are going to Lights in the Park event this weekend and they have street taco vendor coming and I am so excited!

Reply

1. I love hot chocolate with mini marshmallow!
2. Those kids are super duper cute!
3. I love Couples Retreat!
4. My favorite Christmas movie is Home Alone (just the first one though).
5. I color my hair when I get bored, which is about every 4-5 months.

Reply

Home Alone is DEFINITELY my favorite. In fact, I’m throwing a Home Alone Viewing Party at my apartment tonight! Come on over ;)

Reply

I have two favorite Christmas movies… Love actually and the family stone.

Reply

I love Elf and the Home Alone movies!! :)

Reply

I do color my hair because I have been getting greys since the day I turned 15. I usually just use box dye and since my hair is so dark I don’t get much fancy. I used to have someone do it for me but it just got too expensive.

Reply

First favorite, A Christmas Story – I want an official Red Ryder, carbine action, two-hundred shot range model air rifle!

Second Favorite – It’s a Wonderful Life – What is it you want, Mary? What do you want? You want the moon? Just say the word and I’ll throw a lasso around it and pull it down. Hey. That’s a pretty good idea. I’ll give you the moon, Mary.

And yes, I color my hair or rather my stylist does because its get way too blonde in the summer and she puts low lights in.

Reply

I colored my hair for the first time last week and no one noticed. I guess I chose the right color.

Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas and Mickey’s once upon a Christmas are must sees in our house. Also, Elf and Castaway. Sometimes we do a movie trilogy marathon–like Lord of the Rings or Star Wars.

Reply

elf and a muppets christmas carol, both are classics in my house. oh and we also sometimes watch harry potter during christmas, not christmas related but still magical :)

Reply

My favorite Christmas movie has to be Miracle on 34th Street. I don’t know why I love it so much, but I must watch it every year. Also, my brother and I have a tradition to watch The Muppet’s Christmas Carole every year and sing along to all of the songs.

Reply

Four Christmases! What a great movie! That used to be my life in late high school…not fun. My favorite Christmas movie is a Christmas Story. I love that TBS plays it for 24 hours on Christmas day! P.S. Those tacos look amazing!

Reply

Adding that sweater to my Christmas list. Do they run true to size?

Reply

I am wearing a medium in that picture! I have it in black in a small and it fits but it is tighter… Just depends on how you like your clothes to fit… Does that help?

Reply

yup! I will tell my husband to “surprise” me with a medium rather than a small!

Reply

Thanks, I was wondering which size to order as well! I’ll go with the medium.

Reply

I love Christmas movies! I love to watch older movies like White Christmas and It’s a Wonderful Life. I also love watching Polar Express and Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas since my kids love them so much. We watch Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas year round. My 3 year old wears a Santa hat off and on throughout the year as well.
I have never colored my hair, but I think about doing it sometimes. I have super dry hair, so I worry my hair won’t react well to the color. If I do, it probably will be something simple, just to cover the gray hair. I am only 31, and I have a significant amount of gray hair. If it gets to the point I think it ages me, then I’ll probably dye it. Who knows!

Reply

I’ve never colored my hair- way too scared! My favorite christmas movie is Love Actually! Or A Christmas Story :)

Reply

Love your serious face picture! You guys look tough!

Reply

Elf!!!! Can’t beat it!

Reply

That movie is Four Christmases.. There are SOOO many amazing Christmas movies and being a huge dork about Christmas I love them all! A few of my favorites… The Santa Claus, It’s a Wonderful Life, Jack Frost, Prancer..

Reply

I do adore that sweatshirt sooo much!!!! want, want want!!!!

Favorite Christmas movie…Home Alone 1&2..
And Babes in Toyland…with Drew barrymore/Keanu Reeves in it.. My husband thinks its the cheesiest movie ever (it is)
its on my list this year to watch “its a wonderful life” I NEVER HAVE!!!!!!!!

Reply

Elf is definitely my top Christmas movie!! Love it every time!

Reply

Four Christmases!! I love that movie. That Home Alone and Elf are my top Christmas movies.

I don’t color my hair, I don’t want to shell out the $ to get it done at the salon and am definitely not talented enough to do it myself! So natural color it is:)

Reply

Four Christmases! We watched that last night too! I think my favorite is a Charlie Brown Christmas :) But I love Elf, Christmas Vacation, It’s A Wonderful Life, Home Alone… letsbehonest, all Christmas movies are amaze.

Reply

Christmas Vacation is the ONLY Christmas movie, in my opinion.

Well… that and White Christmas and the Muppet Christmas Carol.

And Miracle on 34th Street (the original).

And Home Alone.

But seriously, Christmas Vacation is the one that really captures the truth of the holiday season.

Reply

Those street tacos look amazing!! So does your sister’s lasagna!

My fave Christmas movie is Home Alone and White Christmas! Although two years ago, I remember watching White Christmas while in labour with Max – ahh!

Reply

I love that movie!!! Family Stone and The Holiday are two more awesome Christmas movies :)

**I love love love that sweatshirt, can I ask what size you have?
I would love to get one for Christmas.

Reply

I have so many favourites, it depends what mood I am in!
Love Actually, Miracle on 34th Street (newer one), the claymation ones- esp. Rudolph, Elf, the new and old Grinch, Christmas Vacation.

Those are all popular ones- the less known one I love is called Prancer, if you haven’t seen it do yourself a favour and find it, you will not be disappointed.

Reply

I LOVE Christmas Elmo! I seriously wanted one of those snowglobes like Elmo had for the longest time as a kid. Still one of my guilty faves ;) Mini marshmallows > regular marshmallows ONLY in hot cocoa. My fave Christmas movie is “Elf”, “Deck the Halls” and then “The Year Without a Santa Claus” special on ABC Family. Side note: the new Grinch movie freaks me out. It’s terrifying!

Reply

It’s a Wonderful Life, Elf, Home Alone, Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story, and the one with Kate Winset, Jude Law, and Cameron Diaz I can’t remember the name of..

Reply

That is SO cute that she calls you Elmo! Haha. I have a few favorite Christmas movies: Elf, A Christmas Story, and Prancer. Prancer is SO sad at points but so heart-warming!

Reply

Elf, all the way!
And I colored my hair recently with henna and LOVE IT! I used a box dye prior to using henna and my hair was falling out like crazy… then after henna, it stopped falling out, it’s stronger, and has more volume. Woo hoo!

Reply

My mom is always trying to get me to watch dumb Hallmark movies. She lives by those things, whether it’s Christmas or not. I’d say my favorite is either Elf or It’s a Wonderful Life. That one gets me every time, and we watch it every Christmas Eve.

Reply

Elf and A Christmas Story! Kids and I have seen both of those probably a hundred times!

Reply

That sweater looks very cozy!…I like my hot chocolate with peppermint flavour in it – try it – it is delish!!!
My fav. Christmas movie is the 1st Home Alone

Reply

The movie is 4 Christmases, right? Love it :)

Reply

Four Christmases! My Christmas flick of choice last night was The Family Stone!

The pink zip-up in the hot cocoa pic is so cute! Where is it from?

Reply

I used to color my hair in high school, but that was 15 years ago. Haven’t done it since.

Favorite Christmas movies: White Christmas, It’s A Wonderful Life, The Nativity, The Family Stone, Santa Claus the movie ( an 80’s movie), Miracle on 34th Street, Elf, Rudolph, The Grinch, Charlie Brown, Muppets Christmas Carol, and we are Frasier fans, so we like to rematch the Christmas episodes.

Reply

As a kid, even though I do not celebrate Christmas, my most favorite Christmas movie was Sesame Street’s Christmas. I don’t even know if it was a movie or just their special episode but I loved it. I made sure when my son was born to somehow find it and watch it again!

Reply

The Santa Clause.

Reply

Polar Express!

Reply

The grinch is hands down my favorite christmas movie (maybe favorite movie in general?). I love both but especially the jim carrey version.

I’ve never colored my hair but maybe I’ll get some highlights to get me through the winter blues…?

Reply

Four Christmases!! I just watched that a few weeks ago.
Favourite Christmas movies: National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, The Holiday, and The Polar Express.

Reply

Four Christmases!!!! I love the Grinch and Elf!! I have dyed my hair and cut my own hair. And I didn’t go to beauty school. It was just bad. Don’t recommend it!!

Reply

ELF hands down. But I love any sappy TV ones too!
I colour my hair twice a year, once in the Spring and once in the Fall.

Reply

The Santa Clause makes me laugh the hardest. But if you’re in the mood for heartwarming, I really like The Family Stone, too.

Reply

I watched Love Actually again the other night and it seriously never gets old.

I dyed my hair blue black in high school when I was feeling rebellious, then bleached some strands in college… since then, nothing! Sometimes I see ombre hair and really like it. I kind of want to do something drastic hair-wise when I turn 30.

Reply

It’s a Wonderful Life is probably my favorite. It makes me cry every single year!

Reply

That is some seriously legit self-coloring your sister does. Impressive! I get my hair colored probably once every 5 months. I think.

The best Christmas movie is obviously Die Hard, but if you’re going for traditional Christmas movies, Christmas Vacation wins.

Reply

My husband let me cut his hair last night! Not without a lot of anxiety and “are you sure you know what your doing?”s though! haha. I used to color my hair all the time back when I actually DID color it!

Reply

The old b&w Miracle on 34th Street! Merry Christmas!

Reply

i love the oldies. “holiday inn” is so beautiful and, simultaneously, cheesy. a local theatre used to play it for free on the big screen and my mom and i would make treats and bring them in =]

“it’s a wonderful life” will always be one of my favorites, too. have a great afternoon, janae!!! xx

Reply

Christmas movies are my favorite. The top list includes Home Alone, The Holiday, Love Actually, and Elf!

Reply

I can’t just pick one, so here are my tops: Elf, Scrooged and Christmas Vacation. Oh, and the animated Grinch…not that Jim Carrey stuff.

Reply

I most certainly do color my hair (well, I have someone else do it). It is kind of a “must” for me. I love having it done. I think my favorite movies are “Love Actually”, “The Grinch” (with Jim Carey) and “Elf”. Thanks for the 411 on the sweatshirt. I might need to go buy that for myself…like right now!!

Reply

LOOOVE MPG’s workout gear! I have a few things from them from TJ Maxx!

Reply

That movie looks like Four Christmases which is hilarious! My all time fave is Elf. Ive seen it three times already this season. Luckily my kids like it too. : )

Unfortunately I have my dad’s genes and started graying early so I color my hair every 4 to six weeks. I sure wish i knew how to give myself higlights and low lights to save a bundle! Your sister’s hair always looks amazing!

Reply

Ok I don’t know if I’m the only one who is going to comment about this but I was CRACKING UP when I read “I told them to make serious faces” because I thought you were talking about the marshmallows and in the middle of a serious workday I started laughing and then laughing at myself more when I realized you meant the picture below it with actual people with faces in them.

Also laughing at how Brooke calls you Elmo. Thanks for brightening my day every day :)

I color my hair myself because sadly I am only 24 and have massive amount of grays but cannot afford going to the salon every 3 months. My favorite Christmas movie is the charlie brown Christmas because it brings back the best childhood memories ever.

Reply

That sweater in the last pic is awesome sauce!

And that first one–the white/with lines is super cute too.

I like Elf–I think it’s hilarious!

Reply

Elf and Love Actually!

Reply

Lasagna + street tacos = winning. That sweatshirt is super cute!

Reply

I get my hair colored – just partial highlights though, because I can get them touched up less frequently and save $$. It always wowed me how something purple like what your sis mixed up doesn’t turn hair purple. Oh life’s small wonders. Speaking of small wonders, I adore Brooke’s cute little sweater. And lasagna. I swear the leftovers multiply like gerbils.

Reply

Yep, I have to color my hair because I am “blonde” :) It is super expensive and annoying, but I was born blonde and I went brown once in college and it just doesn’t work for me!

My favorite Xmas movies are Home Alone, Love Actually, The Santa Clause, and Elf!!

Reply

Here are some of the lesser-known movies I love; A Child’s Christmas in Wales (the one that was a tv special in the 80’s- so good!), the original Miracle on 34th, the classics Christmas in Connecticut, and It’s a Wonderful Life. So many more too, but other’s have mentioned them.

Reply

Four Christmases:)

Contemplating coloring my hair this month…it’s been 2 years since the last hoorah.

As I type this, my stack of ‘to be watched’ christmas dvd’s is staring at me including: Elf, Home Alone and Love Actually. I have watched Home Alone every December for most of my life so it’s safe to say it’s my favorite:) But I also love The Grinch (Jim Carey and animated), White Christmas, The Family Stone, Jingle All the Way, Its a Wonderful Life and A Charlie Brown Christmas.

I have virgin hair and I want to keep it that way! It’s just something about those chemicals going into it that I don’t like. I am so jealous of your nieces because they have the awesomest aunt ever. I wish I had one like that!

My favorites are “The Holiday”, “Love Actually”, and “Elf”!

I have colored my hair twice by myself and it never turns out like the model on the box. (why is that?!) Since then, I let the professionals handle this mane! Fave Christmas movie has to be A Charlie Brown Christmas – we have been watching it every Christmas Eve for years! I also am slightly obsessed with Love Actually and The Holiday!

I love Home Alone!

I’ve only highlighted my hair twice in my life when I was in college. I don’t color it or anything mostly because I’m chicken and I’m too cheap.

Best Christmas movie ever is A Muppet Christmas Carol, hands down. I also like Christmas Vacation, Family Stone, and the old school Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman, and Santa Claus movies that used to be on TV when I was a kid.

I know the movie!! “Four Christmases”!! Great flick. My personal fav Christmas movie is “Christmas Vacation”, followed closely by “Love Actually”. The first, I always watch with my husband after the kids are asleep on Christmas Eve. The second, I always watch by myself while I wrap presents:)

I dyed my hair red earlier this year and was allergic to the dye. I had hives all on my kneck and ears and face. It could have been even worse but I wiped up most of the dye off my ears and hands.

I color my hair more often than I would like to admit… I have had to color it since I was 14. Those pesky gray hairs just love to pop up everywhere.

I love: Love Actually, White Christmas, The Holiday, Beautiful Girls (kinda Christmassy) and The Family Stone

My favorite Christmas movies are “A Christmas Story” and “Christmas Vacation”. Both are cult classics! My family and I flew to Cleveland last weekend to run the Christmas Story 5k. The race started at the Higbee’s department store and ended at the house. We toured the house and my son even got under the kitchen sink like Randy. The race medal was a leg lamp and, yes, it was fragile (said with an Italian accent).

My absolute favorite Christmas movie is White Christmas. It’s a classic with great songs, dancing, a heartwarming story and humor. It’s the complete package. :-)

I also love A Muppet Christmas Carol and watched it this past weekend while drinking hot chocolate with an obscene amount of mini marshmallows.

I love that sweatshirt!

My favorite is Love Actually!

I cant just one so I’ll do top three! Christmas vacation, Elf, & home alone! I could watch them over and over! I get my hair highlighted. A friend I went to highschool with does it. She’s the only one I trust with my hair ;) I used to do it at home a couple times but that didn’t turn out well…

Four Christmases! So funny!
I color my hair, I have a good friend that is a hair dresser and gives me a deal. Right now it’s blonde with brown underneath and red under in random places so it peeks out when you least expect it!

Four Christmases!!! I LOOOOOOVE Vince Vaughn!
