My brother was going through old family videos yesterday and posted this one on Facebook. He is the best. It made my year.
1. The first voice on the video that says ‘anytime’ is my Grandad’s voice (Mer’s husband) and he passed away in 2002. I miss him so much and he was the absolute best. He was an incredible runner and a track and cross-country coach for a very long time. I know he is still cheering me on:)
2. I think I still do the head bobble thing when I run.
3. Finish with a smile. That’s my new motto.
Look who came yesterday!!!! Can you believe how ginormous that box is?! It only weighed 550 lbs.
My sister’s husband told me he would put it together in exchange for a chicken pot pie. Our family is very motivated by food.
Judging by Brooke’s face she really likes chicken pot pie too.
They get more entertaining by the day. If you like chicken pot pie you have to try Costco’s because it was really good and huge but we managed to polish it off.
It took 5 men and my sis (she is crazy strong) to get the treadmill down to the basement.
Have you ever seen a more beautiful sight in your life? I am still working on a name.
I actually teared up a little when she was all put together. I am extremely grateful and can’t wait to spend thousands of hours together.
Two random facts from the day:
1. Chick-Fil-A really does have the best soft serve.
2. Any Dancing with the Stars fans? I got to hang out with Chelsie Hightower yesterday for a while. She is incredibly nice. That is her sitting on the stool. I felt too awkward to ask to take a picture with her for my blog but those are her feet:)

That treadmill looks fab!! Quick question, do you ever notice a difference between the mileage you do on a treadmill and the mileage you do outside even if it’s the same length of time you’re running for? I’m finding that even if I run for the same length of time on the treadmill the mileage is always a lot less than outside! Apologies if that doesn’t make sense, as well as getting mean when I’m hungry I also lose the ability to make any sense so I guess it’s lunchtime for me! :-)

I don’t watch Dancing With The Stars, but I watched Chelsie on SYTYCD. My sister and I even went to the SYTYCD tour that season (season 4 is still the best one yet) and made a poster for Twitch and one for Chelsie (yes, like we were 12 or something). My sister especially likes her because she spells her name the same way and she has never encountered another Chelsie who has spelled it the same.

You got the Boston Marathon treadmill! YOU LUCKY GAL! I’d like to get the anti-gravity treadmills – the AlterG? Then I could just FLY! I’m glad you got the treadmill you always wanted – you deserve it. And with the weather up here changing fast – I wish I had mine – I have a Precor and have had it since 2007 without a problem, but it’s in storage (as it half our stuff…) :( My Precor is a a professional gym one too – so it doesn’t fold up – it took 4+ Army guys to carry it downstairs when we first got it! But they are so much more sturdy! I ran about 11 of my 13 years so far running just on a treadmill! Also – just a note – have you ever put stuff around your treadmill to protect the floor/carpet around it? I know you have had a treadmill in the past – but just be careful with them on carpet – they will start to leave a fine black dust once you start using the belt for awhile! I had mine at my parents when I lived back home – and discovered it left a black ring around the entire treadmill on the floor (and this was a professional Precor gym grade treadmill – not a cheapy one). And it only comes out with a professional shampooer – so I highly recommend either putting a couple of cheap rugs around the entire border of the treadmill – just in case! Or at least, behind the back – mine even left a tinge of black dust all the way up the back of the wall (it was in a corner!) Just a little tidbit! Take care and happy running!
