Incredible running story, Brooke’s boyfriend and a marathon pace chart.

Say hello to Brooke’s new little boyfriend. They are only 6 days apart and love playing together.  She was laughing about something really funny in this picture.

IT IS MY COUSIN’S BIRTHDAY TODAY!  Billy will be gone the next few days so we wanted to take her out last night for a birthday celebration.  When we asked her where she wanted to go for dinner she answered Yogurtland (it runs in the family).  She was happy with our proposal of us going to dinner and then Yogurtland for dessert instead.

Anytime we go anywhere the workers just give Brooke free food.

I haven’t had pizza in a month so it was an easy decision for me to get the barbecue chicken pizza on sourdough for dinner last night.

We then fulfilled her birthday wishes for Yland.

I have to share with you the most inspiring running story.  Annette has ran 366 marathons in the last year and she has multiple sclerosis.  Check out the full article HERE, she is incredible.

Screen Shot 2013 07 16 at 11 03 46 PM

And randomly I decided to make a little pace chart.  So the first time on the list is the finish time of a marathon and the second time next to it is the average pace it takes to get that time.  IE for me to run a 3 hour marathon I should be running an average pace of 6:52.

I’d love to run a sub 4 marathon one day. I just ran a sub 2 half 6 months after having a baby which was so exciting. I PR’ed by over 5 minutes! So maybe one day I’ll train for a full again.

Reply

Congrats Lauren! That’s amazing 6 monts after a baby! And PR’ing like that too! I think one day I’d like to just step outside my comfort zone and try running at least a half marathon.

Reply

Wow that is crazy!!! That’s a lot of time running everyday… Who has that much time haha. My ultimate goal is to run close to 2:45! Best pizza toppings are lots of cheese and jalepenos :-)

Brooke is going to be quote the heart breaker. Just look at that face! I haven’t had froyo in way too long. I need to make up for lost time. Same with pizza even though its only been a week. A week too long. When I run a marathon that will be very useful. Hopefully in the next two years!

Reply

I think my goal marathon time right now is 3:45. That’s taking 10 minutes off my PR, so we’ll see.

I had pizza a couple weeks ago…I think. I should probably remedy that.

Reply

Brooke is just too darn cute!!! Something random about my day, I’m trying to find the energy to go run some Yasso 800’s at the track this morning. Our heat wave is greatly effecting my motivation.
My marathon goal time is 3:25. I have a long way to go, but I will get there. Hence the speed workouts lately :)
The last slice of pizza I had was a cold piece of hawaiian pizza…canadian bacon and pineapple. You should try it!

Reply

The last time I got pizza was Sunday night at Mellow Mushroom (not positive if they have them out west, but its a super tasty pizza chain). I got the “Kosmic Karma”, meaning it had spinach, tomatoes, garlic, mozz cheese…YUM.

Also-thanks for sharing that running story! Gosh, people are sooo inspiring. It would be tough for me to physically run every single day, must less a marathon a day!

Reply

I have a Mellow Mushroom really close by and never went before!

Reply

Our Mellow Mushroom has $1 cheese slices every Monday, so it’s my go-to lunch spot. So good!

Reply

Wow, Annette’s story is amazing! Just shows you what can be done.

Reply

Brooks already charming the boys I see with that smile of hers! That chart is so cool. I will def be saving it! 366 marathons in the last year O_O she is beyond amazing! Last time I had pizza wasssss oh no it’s been too long! Random: I can’t straighten my arms. :(

Reply

Wow good for that woman!! That’s amazing. Also Happy Birthday, Janae’s cousin! Yogurtland was an excellent choice.
Something random: I need to be moving in the next 3 days but I now have nowhere to live as of last night. Soooo…..this should be interesting :)
My favorite pizza is Hawaiian with black olives

Reply

I really want to run a sub-4 marathon. I’ve got it in me if only my mind would stop messing with me. I definitely need to work on my mental toughness. I couldn’t tell you the last time I had pizza. That will be remedied when football season rolls around again. We have pizza for lunch pretty much every Sunday during football season. My husband is a lucky man.

Reply

That pizza you had looks/sounds amazing! I want some!! I don’t know when the last time I had pizza was…at least a month ago.

Thanks for sharing Annette’s story. That is amazing!

Reply

My marathon goal is to finish one without walking!!

Reply

Marathon goal time is 4:00. I ran 4:15 in my fist one and I have my second one coming up in December. Yay for Yogurtland!

Reply

That article is AMAZING! Just proves again that….anything is possible!
I had the flatbread pizza last night from Pizza Hut. Opted for mushrooms and onions on my two. Pretty tasty. Of course I needed cheesy breadstick to accompany my pizza.
My marathon goal is 3:50. My PR so far is 3:58.
Random fact-I am the biggest “worrier” ever!!!!

Reply

Thank you for sharing the story of this incredible woman!! :)

I have no doubt that you’ll be ready to run your time goal at CIM in Dec. Your new approach to training will get you there!! :) I’d love to run a marathon better than 3:21 before the year is up. We’ll see…I have 2 opportunities (Cottonwood & Chicago). :)

Something random…the boys made smores for the 1st time last night! They weren’t fans of them but, they still enjoyed lighting their marshmallows on fire!! :) xo

Reply

My marathon goal is under 4 hours right now but I have many many goals for my future. I was told that I “wasn’t built to be a great runner” last night and I’m going to use that as fuel.
I have the heart and the love for running. Of course I’ll rant about that in tomorrow post. :-) No worries, life is great!

Reply

Last pizza- white pizza with bacon and chicken and hot red pepper! Randomness for today…. I love, love, live being a teacher for many reasons, but having the summers off is just amazing. I love being home with my kiddos and will have to be drug (is that a word??) in September kickin’ and screaming!!!!

Reply

I absolutely love reading stories like that- how inspirational?!
I don’t know what my goal marathon time is right now. I just ran a 3:43 marathon at the end of my ironman, so I know I can improve on my 3:28 stand-alone marathon from a couple years ago. I guess I need ot sign up for one and start training to see!

Reply

One of my dogs will be 11 years old on August 4th! He is my childhood dog and is the best ever :)

If I could ever do a marathon, I’d just want to finish! Hopefully it would take me less than 6 hours?

I had pizza a few weeks ago and had an Hawaiian Pizza – pineapple, ham and bacon!!

Last summer I ran a 5k where the town mayor ran it too. He as 87 years old and had already run over 100 races that year!

Reply

1. My current marathon goal time is to qualify for Boston. That would mean I need to run a 3:35 or less. I have a long way to go but you better believe I am going to get there!!

2. My husband and I went out for a late night pizza slice last Saturday. Though I think your BBQ Chicken Pizza looks amazing!

Reply

I am stupid spoiled, the last time I had pizza was a week an a half ago when I was in Italy! It’s almost sad because I’m kind of ruined for US pizza now.
Somehow I think I’ll manage :)

Reply

Awwwwwwwww this whole post makes me miss marathon training. I can’t wait to finish up triathlon season and dig back into marathons!

Reply

About a week ago we had Pie Pizzeria. Plain cheese for me and Hawai’i Pie-O for the hub. B-B-Q chicken would have been good for me, but I’m not a big cheese fan and normally pick a lot of it off (to my hub’s great delight- hence our sound marriage).

Last Saturday at the Echo Tri finish line, I chatted with a woman named B. She was waiting for her hub to finish. She had just beat ovarian cancer and was only back running for 6 weeks before the Oly tri. Her hub has asthma and was “probably going to finish dead last, but that’s okay, because he’s out here.”

We chatted, she left, and then she came back. She met my hub who was nearly killed 3 years ago with a long list of medical realities while training for a tri. They hugged, they congratulated each other, they talked up living and running and training for tris. We’re all better because of it.

Reply

I can’t even wrap my head around running a marathon everyday for a year! Wow, just wow!

Reply

Random: last night I had a dream I was in an acapella group. I had pizza the night before the fourth- cheese all the way.

Annette- oh my gosh. How do you build up to that?! How didn’t your legs fall off?!

Reply

I thought Dean Karnazes was crazy for running 50 marathons in 50 days in 50 states–this woman is INSANE in the best way possible! She’s such an inspiration–no matter what’s going on with you, there’s never an excuse to go out and be the best that you can be!

Something random about me: I’m so over this heat wave. There’s no reason Ohio should be hotter than Texas…

Reply

I love pizza with all the veggies, a lot of sauce, and not much cheese. But I haven’t had it out in a long time! We usually just buy the frozen ones or take and bake but it’s not as good. Yours looks delicious and so does the frozen yogurt.

Thanks for the pace chart! I am training for a full and hoping for 4 hours… mostly I just want to beat Oprah’s time though. I think hers was 4:30.

Reply

Random: 2 of my cats think they are actually dogs. They sit in my lap, play fetch and beg for people food- including raw spinach?

My first marathon will be in March 2014- however, my goal is to finish in under 4 hours. We have atleast one, but probably 2, more half marathons before then, so I think I can do it.

Pizza- we have it atleast once every week of our life. We either get frozen (Kashi frozen pizza is good!) or we get Papa Johns. We also have a local delivery place by us that is amazing!

I really liked the interview SR posted on her blog yesterday- the girl ran her first marathon at 16! Amazing! The story you just posted is inspiring too. Most of the time, I find the most inspiration of the day-to-day struggles: new moms’ first marathons after children, people who have never run a mile in their life deciding to train for a half marathon, etc.

Reply

I posted about the same woman today. HA. I am floored. I am, can you imagine running for 5 hours every day? Crazy. And she finished with 2 marathons on Sunday. HA.
I won’t show Ryan this post otherwise he will cry himself to sleep tonight that Brooke found a new man. HA =) xo

Reply

Random thing: I just ordered my dogs a bowtie and a flower adornment for their collars. They are very fancy.

I am planning on running my first marathon in 2014. I’d like it to be sub-4:00, but I’ll reevaluate when I get to that point! For now, I’m hoping to run a sub 2:30 Half in December.

Reply

We rarely go out for pizza, but we make our own pretty often. Last night we had a cool day so we decided we would make pizza. Without AC our house sometimes gets to 80 degrees or more during the summer so baking requires some foresight haha.

We loaded up the veggies and made it cheeseless because we are weird like that. So yum.

Reply

Right now I would love to finish with a 330. My pr is 335… But five minutes is a lot more than you think it is, you know?!

Reply

That chart is so helpful! And now I’m craving Yogurtland..

Reply

Wow to that story!! I think Baby Brooke is possibly the happiest baby on the planet. She just looks so happy all the time…like her eyes twinkle. :) Random thing about me is that I bought my second gun this year yesterday. My husband isn’t big on guns, so I’m doing something about that. :) Let’s see…the last time I had pizza was a few nights ago. It was the Target brand and it was veggie. I have to say it was amazing and I can’t wait to go back and buy more. It’s one of the only frozen kind I’ve found without soy in it. Little Miss Sophia is allergic so we check the labels on everything. Really though, try them if you haven’t I also like the cheese one.

Reply

I plan on running my first in the spring and am shooting for sub 4!

Reply

You are a rock star & will totally run a 3-hour marathon! I’m running Richmond in November and would love to break 3:30. Ran a 7-mile trail race last night, and despite the heat, I felt great. It’s always nice to get a big confidence boost from a great race. Will go a long way the next few weeks as I crank up the miles in the blistering heat!

Reply

Brooke is the cutest. Last thing I had on a pizza – pepperoni and sausage. At this point I’d probably be shooting for a sub-5 marathon, but IF I ever run a full, it will be very, very far in the future.

Reply

I am watching the local parade today and oddly really excited!
For when I run my next full it will be 3:45, but that is a while from now :)
We tried a new pizza place Saturday night and I had their Margherita pizza with pistachio pesto – so delicious!

Reply

I just want to squeeze under 3:05. Is that asking too much, body?! *glares at formerly injured thigh*

Reply

The next time I am whining about tired legs and thinking of skipping a workout I will think of this article. WOW!

Reply

WOW….if that isn’t amazing I don’t know what is!!!

Time for me to do something amazing too. ;-)

Reply

No pizza in a month?! I’d die! We just made pizza last night – one margarita and a pepperoni/onion/zucchini/garlic pizza. Gosh, now I’m going to be thinking about the leftovers until lunch… I am so impressed by people that can run two marathons back to back, let alone 366! What an inspiring woman.

Reply

That woman is SO amazing!! I’m training for Chicago Marathon and have a goal of running 3:30 and BQ’ing! It won’t be easy, but I’m up for the challenge :-) Oh, and last time I had pizza it was buffalo chicken…SO delish.

Reply

I was going to put that same story on my blog today! Incredible. My husband saw it yesterday and shouted from the other room that a woman had run 366 marathons in 365 days. I totally did not believe him! My very good friend was also just diagnosed with ms.
Goal pace=3:15

Reply

Random- today I’m going to my parents to swim because it is so hot here! We don’t have AC.

I can’t remember the last time I had pizza (which is sad, I love pizza!!), but I think we are ordering it in this weekend at the bachelorette party I’m going to!

Reply

It has been A WHILE since I’ve had pizza. I actually prefer to have homemade pizza then to go out for it.
By the way… did you make the bottom left corner froyo just for me? You’re so sweet.

Reply

Wow, what an amazing story! It really puts things in perspective, especially complaining about a small thing.

Something random about my life is that I have recently become WAY into Butterscotch and have been craving a Butterscotch milkshake and can’t find one anywhere near me, BUT Yogurtland says on their website that they have a Butterscotch flavored frozen yogurt. Can you guess where I am going after work?!?

Brooke is adorable, she makes me reconsider having children.

Reply

Random – New purple awesome running shoes = huge blister on my foot :(
My goal marathon time is 4:30.
The last time I had pizza was about a month ago and I get bbq chicken, with bacon and jalapeños! Yummo!

Reply

Wait. Why has it been a month since you have had pizza? Why would you so that to yourself? Lol. I am actually making pizza for dinner tonight. Regular for the kids and Ross and I think I shall make cauliflower crust for me. Yum :)

My goal time for my 1st marathon was 3:30 and according to all my long run paces that should have been cake. But, as we all know the Marathon is unpredictable. And with the heat I ended up with 3:39. One day I will do another and I will smash that time!!

Tell your cousin happy birthday!! Hope you guys do something fun today to celebrate!

Reply

Oh and I just read the RW article last night about the girl who ran across america to set a new female record. And she did most of it alone/unaided. amazing!

Reply

That story is amazing!!! Quite a heart she’s got. Because I’ve never ran a marathon, I would just be happy to finish it the first time, but the second time I would be looking for improvement lol. Last time I had pizza was last year, I made it and put sun dried tomatoes on top, best topping ever! Random: My cat will roll onto her back and purr while you rub her belly.

Reply

What a wonderful story!!! Thank you so much for posting it. My mom has Multiple Sclerosis and I cannot wait to share this article with her :)

Reply

Happy birthday to your Cousin! Brooke and her boyfriend are too cute. Something random about my DAY is that we’re finally putting our house on the market…hope it sells fast! Something random about my DOGS are that they eat our house (literally) so we’re trying to keep that from happening! We got pizza the other night and got pepperoni/black olives…because I had to compromise with my husband! :)

Reply

We made homemade pizza at our house every. single. week. It never gets old!

That woman is absolutely incredible…so inspirational!

Reply

That is such an incredible story! I can’t even imagine running one marathon, let alone 366 in a year.
I had pizza last week, and it was a thin crust with a sour cream base, smoked applewood bacon, potato slices, red onion, smoked cheddar and mozzarella…pretty incredible.

Reply

I last had pizza on Saturday night. I usually go for plain cheese, but once in awhile I feel adventurous and go for something different.

Reply

I really really love penguins! Whenever I’m at a zoo or aquarium with them I just stand and watch for as long as I can… (Almost nose pressed against the glass like a 5 year old haha).

I love Greek veggies pizza!! I just had pizza on Saturday after an all day outdoor concert… So satisfying!!

Reply

Oh, I love that marathon pace chart! I’m training for my first marathon, and I’d like to finish in under 5 hours. I’m training at an 11:00 mile, so hopefully I won’t have a problem.

Reply

I used to work at Starbucks, and had this one customer who was severely obese. She used to come through the drivethru with her mom and we would always chat. Well over the past couple of years, she has really gotten on the healthy lifestyle train. Last year, we went to cheer for some other old Sbux friends who were running the local Run for Water, and afterwards we were all just hanging out on the grass by the 5k finish line, and pretty much everyone else had left. Then, what do you know, our old customer comes running down the finish chute to finish the 5k! We all ran to cheer for her. That was super inspiring then, and then just yesterday, we saw her again going into the grocery store looking amazing! I swear the girl has lost over 100 pounds. We decided that we wouldn’t be surprised if we saw her finishing a half marathon sometime this year!

Reply

First off – is that waffle cone I see in that cup of greatness?? My Yogurtland doesn’t ever have waffle cones!!

I had pizza a couple of weeks ago. Shrimp Pesto Pizza – AMAZEBALLS! It was marinated shrimp with pesto sauce, mozzarella cheese, red onions, calamata olives, roasted red peppers, feta cheese. YUMMMM!

Reply

Brooke looks like she’s flirting it up big time! Watch out for that one!

Um, random, I didn’t check my mail yesterday. I’ll probably do that today. Random enough? Seriously though, I’m leaving on an extended family camping trip today. Should be fun!

Reply

I’m currently waiting for the UPS man to arrive with my brand new juicer.. !!!!

My goal is just finish under 4:30

I don’t even know the last time I had pizza….

That is CRAZY a marathon every single day! That is unbelievable that she could keep that consistently for so long

Reply

That story is inspiring!
Incredibly random – I roasted some orange peppers in the oven for dinner last night to make stuffed peppers and they came out of the oven yellow. Not sure what caused the color change – very weird…but still tasty!
I love any vegetable combination on pizza but definitely not a fan of meat on pizza.

Reply

What an amazing story!!!

I really want a sub 4 marathon….I can easily run well under a 9 minute pace for shorter runs, but I’m just not sure I can do it for 26 miles. Under 7 minutes per mile = crazy! You can do it though!

Reply

Something random: I borrowed a book to read on a trip I’m taking from someone I’m dating and I opened it up and he had left me a little note that said ‘hope you have a great trip!” Melted my heart. I had pizza on Thursday and it was boring cheese.

Reply

all those fro yo cups loook sooooo good!

an amazing story–and she has my name!! ;) she must be cool then. hehe

Reply

The last slice I had was buffalo chicken pizza. Delicious! I just started training for my first marathon this week, so my only goal is just to finish, but that pace chart will be very helpful in the future!

Reply

Two things random: 1) y dog snorts a lot when she’s happy. If you didn’t know she was a dog, you would think she was a pig – seriously. 2) I just found strawberries in the back of the fridge and the find has made my morning!

My goal marathon time is 3:30.

Last time I had a pizza with veggies and sausage.

An inspiring story: Alison Bradley rans from NYC to LA in 68 days (Check out runnersworld.com, it’s a featured article today).

What a little heart breaker you have on your hands :)
BBQ sauce, chicken, pineapple and mushrooms

I don’t really have goal times yet, but now that I think about it, for my next race, my first goal would be to PR, < 2:57, next would be <2:55 and super reach would be close to 2:50.
I had pizza last week, and it was just the leftovers of what my little guy didn't eat – pepperoni!
Great pace chart, it's fun to look at all the corresponding paces.

Reply

Thank you for sharing this amazing story!!!

My goal marathon time is 3:59:59, 9:07 pace… I got little more than 3 months to get there!!! And it’s my first marathon!!!

Reply

I found your blog! This is amazing; you are amazing! No, really. And h-man got a shoutout?! He is totally star-struck ;). He and Brooke are getting married for sure. And since I feel like I should comment on something athletic, I ran a mile last night and thought I may die. I need to read this blog for some encouragement and motivation.

Reply

Hahahah this made me so so happy!!!!! Seriously stoked you are in for this arranged marriage! Way to go on your mile! We should run together!

Reply

That pizza looks yummy!! :-)

My big marathon goal time is to break 3 so I am going to try to shoot for a 6:45. I just started training this week and that pace seems a little overwhelming but hopefully by November (when my race is) that will feel doable! I like pace charts and pace equivalency charts. After every race I am always plugging in my latest time to see where I should be!

Reply

My dog and I just fought over the computer chair because he hops on it every time I get up to get something to eat/drink! That woman is amazing. 366 marathons in one year and TWO in one day. Amazing. I don’t even have words, I’m just in awe. The last time I had pizza it was a margheritta naan pizza! So good!

Reply

I love my boys, after a grueling day, and a meeting after work….I came home to the house smelling soooooo good, they made a home made pizza with home made bolleiasge(?) sauce and fresh little mozzarella balls, yum and double yum

I can’t believe Brooke is almost 1, WOW how the time flies

Reply

We eat pizza once a week. Usually on Thursday because it’s the last of the midweek runs. We like the cheese pizza-the frozen one that Costco sells. I have a hard time thinking that pizza is bad for you-but I’m Italian and from New York

Reply

Wow! I had to reread that first sentence twice when I saw 366 Marathons! She is a hero.

My Marathon goal time is <3:30! I'm dying to see that time. I'm really hoping to break 3:30 this fall. I'm hoping the 7th time will be a charm, lol. :)

Reply

I did two marathons in one year and thought the training would kill me! She is amazing!

Have you heard about Zoe Romano who is running, yes RUNNING, the entire Tour de France course? She is suppose to finish in Paris this Saturday, one day before the cyclists. Approximately 2000 miles in 9 weeks, averaging 30 miles a day! She is raising money for World Pediatric Project and has raised over $132,000 so far!

My goal time for October is 3:10. Today was my first speedwork in a while and it killed me…I have a lot of work to do! Random fact? My knee is bothering me today. It first hurt when I sat down to pee. Yep. Tweaked my knee by sitting on the toilet.

Reply

366 marathons in a year?! That’s so amazing! Awe inspiring!

I ran my first marathon last month in 4:00:11, so I’m hoping to go sub-4 at my next one (Half Moon Bay Marathon) in September. At CIM in December, I’m hoping to get down to 3:50. Then, I’m going to attempt to qualify for Boston in May 2014 by going sub-3:40. Do I think I can do it? I have to! But dreams don’t come true by just making wishes so I’m going to work my tail off to achieve them.

Reply

My marathon goal is to BQ and break 3:35. I ran 3:39 earlier this year… so I’m hoping I can run a bit smarter for my marathon in November and get that darned BQ!

Reply

My goal is to finish my first marathon under the 6 hour time limit (secret personal goal is to do a 4:30 marathon)

Had pizza on Monday and it was olives and mushrooms. yum.

The woman is inspiring. <3

Reply

Wow, that IS an incredible story! I have not run any marathons yet. I just started running 2 years ago (when my son was 1 1/2) and have done four half marathons in this time. I want to run a marathon — and when I do I want to train the heck out of it, so I’m waiting for a couple years (hopefully until I’m done having children) When I do run a marathon, I hope to do it in 3:50 or less. Wishful thinking, I’m sure.

Tell me something RANDOM about you/your day/your life/your dog etc.
-I watched the pregnancy special of The Price is Right today.

Marathon runners: What is your marathon goal time?
-I have never run one, but for my first I’d like to get below 4:30

Last time you had pizza? What toppings did you get?
-Friday. It had sausage, peppers, onions, red pepper flakes, garlic, chipotle powder

Reply

The last time I had pizza was 3 weeks ago. It was at this place called Spinatos. It is probably one of the best pizza places I have ever been.

Something random, my husband didn’t put our dog in his kennel before he left this morning so when I came home from my run, I had a huge mess to clean up. Trash everywhere!!!!

Reply

What a great story!!!!! I want to run a marathon — someday– and my goal time would be sub-4!

Reply

My goal time is 3:15, It would be a 6 minute PR for me but definitely doable if I train right. I think you are definitely going to be close to 3 hours at CIM!

Pizza with Spinach, ricotta and tomatoes is my fav! oh and goat cheese!

Reply

Yogurtland for dinner sounds perfectly acceptable to me ;) And wow that woman is so inspring! What a cool story!

xo

Reply

That is crazy, a marathon every day! I’m glad you posted this pace chart! For my marathon in February I would love to run a sub 4, but I will have to wait till the fall to gauge if that is a realistic goal, either way I am doing it and plan A is to just finish!

Reply

I’m running my first full marathon this November, so ultimately the goal is “to finish” (as they all tell you to do – don’t worry about time, just finish, blah blah ;)) but I am shooting for between 4:00-4:30.

I just read about that 14 year old girl who is running marathons around the world in Olympic-qualifying times… how amazing to have that kind of talent so young!

Reply

My marathon goal time is the same as my BQ time: 3:55. I recently ran a 3:58. So close! Hopefully, I’ll run a 3:55 at my fall marathon – St. George.

Reply

Something random…I leave for Cabo in two days!

And my marathon goal is to just finish one next year :)

Reply

I have 5 half marathons planned out from August through December and all this training makes me crave pizza.

I work on the Sony Pictures Entertainment lot and there is a Yogurtland on the lot one building over. I have to make sure i only go there a couple times a month or I’ll weight 900 lbs!

Reply

Oh my goodness I cannot believe she did that!!!! That’s insane!

I love my dogs, I have 2! A chocolate lab puppy…well she’s almost 3, but that’s still a puppy and her name is Molly :) And then the other one is Layla and she is a mutt and super cute and lovey! She won’t start eating her food until I give her a kiss :) My dogs rock!

My goal marathon time is definitely sub 4, but I would love to qualify for Boston (ok who wouldn’t??) so ultimately my goal is 3:30!

The last time I had pizza was on Friday night and it was just a pepperoni pizza from Papa John’s.

Reply

I plan on running my first marathon next fall and my goal is to finish. I’m running two Halfs this fall though and I’m hoping to PR.

Random: I’m on vacation and I got sunburned on my shins. Just my shins!

I’m currently training for my VERY first marathon so my official goal time is “to finish”, my realistic goal time is sub 4:30 (I’m slow, or “average”) and my dream goal time in sub 4. So just a wee bit slower than you, ha.

I love this woman’s story. I was diagnosed last year with MS and will continue to run as long as my body holds up. I often have people criticize me that I am harming myself by running marathons. Now I can whip out this article and show them!

My next marathon goal is to run under 3:45 to BQ again for 2014.

Random something: My dog has a bad ear infection so I had to take her to the vet yesterday. Her tail has returned to Half Mast today, lol. Hoping it will be at full staff tomorrow!

Pizza: We (my boyfriend & I) eat pizza at least 2-3x a week! He is in love with a local Pizza place (Dion’s) and I can’t ever say no because it smells way too good!

Currently injured so I haven’t ran since February! Looks like surgery is the next option…hopefully that will get me back to running! Thinking positive!

something RANDOM – I opened the pepitas bag upside down on accident the first time, now it’s good luck.

marathon goal time – a little crazy but I’m going to do < 3:00:00

pizza – goat cheese & spinach on a cruise ship, 6 days ago, now I'm in food rehab

I ran 7 miles this morning, too. It took me right over 1 hour. I was proud of my time, then I read that you finished it 49 minutes. I’m still proud of my pace, but my goodness. I would love to be as fast as you! Way to go!

And I want to finish my marathon in 4:30 or under. It’s my first one so finishing in general will be nice :)

I just want to run a full marathon, so finishing would be enough for my first one. Then maybe I’ll focus on a pace :)

My next marathon is at altitude (Tahoe in Sep) so I just want to finish that one. But I’m also running CIM in December and hope to PR (current PR is 4:26). Then off to NOLA for the R&R in February. That one might involve unorthadox pre-run prep (Hurricanes & crawfish?) — so I have no expectations of a time there.

Pizza. Can’t remember the last time I ate pizza. But it was probably Hawaiian with garlic.

Random: My non-running hubby signed up for his first every run – the half in NOLA. Crossing my fingers that he gets hooked.

It’s my birthday today as well! I ran 21 miles in 2:58 to celebrate 21 years of a happy, healthy life. Hopefully this will get me to sub 3:30 very soon!

Now all I want is Pizza for dinner!

My son inspired me by running a 45-mile ultra on Sunday that I set up as an event for my running group. The rest of us ran different legs to keep him company while he ran the entire distance. I blogged about it on Monday!

You know would do the same for Brooke! :-)

That story is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

I am now convinced that everyone in your family is gorgeous! And that picture of Brooke and her boyfriend melts my heart!

I had pizza toppings last Friday. I don’t eat gluten, so I just scraped the top off the meat lovers pizza and loved every last minute of it.

That running story is AMAZING! Here’s one my cousin posted to my facebook page (she doesnt even run, she’s just that supportive! :)

Also- Last time I had pizza? literally over a year ago because I’m vegan! On a recent trip to Seattle I went to a vegan pizza place but they were closed :( I was so excited to finally get a slice again too!

Random: auditioned to be a pilates instructor! Marathon goal, sub 3:10. And have you seen this comic ‘the terrible and wonderful reasons why I run long distance’. it’s hilarious!

I had pizza on Tuesday night, and felt sick all day Wednesday because I hadn’t eaten it in so long! (But it was a pizza buffet, and totally worth it).

I will be running my first marathon, the Richmond Marathon, in November. My goals are first to just finish the race, and second to finish somewhere between 4:30 – 5:00.

Random: Cashew butter was on sale at my grocery store for 4 buck! What what?!
Marathon Pace: 7:03… I NEED to get under 3:10, haha. You will love CIM. I ran it on my Honeymoon with my husband and it is an awesome race!
Pizza: Last pizza was last weekend and a cute little Italian joint. It was coal fired with salty prosciutto… perfect after a sweaty run :)
How did you get hooked up with Coach Hadley? Are you apart of the US Marathon Trials Project?

I’m training for my first full marathon (AH) and besides just wanting to finish without walking-I’m going for sub-4!

Hey superb website! Does running a blog such as this require a lot of work?
I’ve virtually no understanding of coding but I had been hoping
to start my own blog soon. Anyhow, should you have any suggestions or tips for new blog owners please share.
I understand this is off subject nevertheless I simply needed to ask.
Thanks!

Running first marathon in November. Fell behind on my running schedule. Let life and a cold get in the way. I have 7 week to go. Longest run is 16 and my running group will be doing 20 this weekend. I find it hard to wrap my brain around how I will do this.
