It Finally Happened.

Workout:  5 miles on the treadmill followed by teaching a spin class.  It was all so early it feels like it happened 3 days ago.  I do remember the spin class was really fun but I don’t remember anything from the run.  Weird.

It finally happened.  I got to meet THE NYCRunningMama.  We have been planning this get together for months.  She is in the area for a wedding so I got to steal her away for lunch in San Francisco.  She is the absolute sweetest and it would be perfect if we just lived next to each other so we could train together!  PS she has an IRONMAN coming up really soon that she is going to rock:)

I met her at her hotel and then we walked around for a while looking for somewhere to eat and finally walked in to a place called Bread & Cocoa but we didn’t get cocoa?  We did get the most amazing breakfast sandwich that had the best ever caramelized onions.

And three pictures of the kiddos (they are less than 5 weeks apart) playing at the windows because it makes me insanely happy to finally have the two of them together:

And then I got lost.  And my phone died.  By the time I finally got to our car Brooke was in her 3rd REM cycle.  City living is very tiring.

Off to Costco to get enough taco ingredients for 100 people.  It is a long story.  I will tell you all about it later.  Hopefully the samples are really good today and I really hope they are sampling ice cream.

How awesome! The kids look so adorable together! Can’t wait to meet you and Michele in October!

How fun! Blogger meet-ups are the best! Especially when they involve food. ;) That sandwich looks incredible – yum!

My workout was a 30 minute interval run on the good ol’ treadmill!

Reply

My workout today was treadmill/floor circuits! One word: HARD! Some sprints and lots of steep hills.

The kiddos are so cute together! I am not ready to have a baby yet but seeing pics of Brooke just make me reconsider that decision at least a couple times a day. :)

We will probably be relaxing tonight as my hubby is working tomorrow and all weekend.

So fun :D My workout today was non-existent. After a vomit-filled run yesterday, I took that as a sign that my body needed a break! I’m going to a party tonight for a friend’s friend who actually happened to graduate from my undergrad. I’m excited to meet her!

Jealous! I seriously need to move away from this blogger no-man’s-land… No one lives around me or ever comes around to visit. And at least you didn’t have to worry about Brooke kicking off her jellies while she was asleep :)

Reply

Awesome!! I really look up to both you and Michelle and would love to be able to one day meet one or both of you!

Reply

I meet Michelle last month in Atlanta while filming videos for Mizuno. She was so sweet and an amazing athlete!!

Reply

My workout today was like death. My 7 mile run quickly turned into a 3 mile run, but at least I got some miles in. Wow, an ironman! That is my goal someday. She is a champ!

Brooke’s jellies!!!!!! Best. Ever.

My Friday night plans are to sit and watch a bunch of wedding shows with my mama. haha!

I look like Brooke at about 11 o’clock at night except I have a bowl on my belly instead of a bottle.

Today is my rest day and we are having pizza for dinner. Its going to be a rough run at 6 in the morning!

I knew you two would hit it off!

Today feels like a Saturday to me. Probably because I’ve had the last couple of Fridays off and worked on Saturdays.

My youngest daughter has a softball game tonight. First of many games this weekend since both daughters have a tournament. Love summer!

Reply

An hour on the bike.
Steady.
Making lasagna cause I’m craving it. Don’t know who craves lasagna in summer heat, but I can’t wait to dig in.

Reply

LOVE her! I hope one day I am lucky to meet both of you ladies!!! How fun!! <3

Early (for me) morning run – tried some outdoor speed work for the first time! I’ve only ever done it on the treadmill but you’ve inspired me :)

One word: peaceful

Friday night plans are a much needed girls night! I’m thinking tacos are on the menu too… but not for 100 people – that’s crazy!

Reply

I’m so sorry you got lost, but that paragraph made me laugh a little : )

Reply

Friday night is just another night of dinner, baths, and snuggles with my little ones. If I’m really lucky, I’ll be in bed by 9:15. Wild, right?

Reply

Look at you two celebs!! So cute! I designed an outdoor obstacle course for my 5am bootcampers. It took me forever to design and arrange it, but it was a blast!!! Hard, humid, fun…… Oops 3 words! I’m baking 13 father day cakes this evening! 13!

Ooh what a fun meet-up! My workout today was cross training – 30 mins on the Precor (think elliptical, but with moving arms and a steep incline), and 7 miles on the bike with a few tabatas.) I’ve got a run planned with one of my friends tomorrow morning so I didn’t want to go too hard on my legs, especially given my current state of slight overtraining. Hoping for a strong one tomorrow! As for my Friday night, you’re looking at it – catching up on blogs! I hope you have a lovely weekend! :)

So cool you got to met NYC Running Mama. She’s such an inspiration! Enjoyed ez run & swim today, so got a nice dose of Vitamin D! Just got back from dinner out & live music outdoors. My girls love to clap & dance to the beat. Great way to start w/e!

Reply

Workout was treking around an arboretum in the rain then clouds then sun with my kids, carryng one 90% of the time because she was mad that I did not bring the BOB when she saw her buddy in a stroller.

Friday night plans were swim practice and then rush to our neighbor’s dance recital rehearsals ( we watch the rehearsals every year because the real show is $50 a ticket, yikes!). I packed dinner for my girls and myself. I guess I underestimated how hungry swim team would make my 5 year old and she ended up eating my dinner too.

It’s my mom’s birthday on Sunday so I’m having a BBQ tomorrow to celebrate. We’re going to do a balloon release for my dad and my fathter-in-law too. We write messages on balloons and send them up to heaven. All the grandchildren love doing this. Happy Father’s Day to Billy! Have a great weekend.

3rd REM cycle hahah I love it. She looks so peaceful. I hope the weather warms up again where I live, so I can tote my baby around in little shorts again :)

Reply

No running for me today, just lifting. It was… Motivating. I love lifting, it makes me feel strong. And my plans… Pick up my husband’s bike from the shop and eat a burrito.

Sidenote: I have some major jealousy over the amazing places you eat!

Reply

Rest day – got a 10 mile race in the am!
Restful.
My plans were a happy hour to celebrate the end of the school year and then out to dinner to celebrate my BFF’s 30th birthday!

Getting lost and my phone dying is my worst nightmare.

Reply

Sounds like such a fun day! Your sandwich looked soooo good.

Tonight we sat on a patio and had chicken wings as a treat, and now we’re hanging out in our sweatpants :)

Reply

Today was a five miler at 5 something in the morning. SO glad it’s Friday. What darling pics of the little ones !

Reply

I would just like to say that that sandwich has ruined all other sandwiches for me. Forever. Okay. Maybe just for today. But DAAAYYYUM.

Reply

Friday is rest day always. I love how Brooke kept her sandles on.

Reply

I ran. One word: HOT. I also did my daily abs and squat challenges (at midnight, but at least I did them, right?)
Brooke and her new friend are soooooo adorable together! He is totally checking her out in the first picture and I think he’s making eyes at you (or whoever is holding the camera) in the last one… little ladies man already :)

Reply

HAHA. It’s so true! My husband and I have joked that he already has an eye for pretty girls =) Janae doesn’t realize that we are going to be in-laws one day! =)

Reply

What a fun day! My workout on Friday was running 3.5 miles 8 minute abs/arms and then a 1 mile walk. My word to describe my workout was: awesome! Friday night included me getting sick and leaving work and sleeping from 7:30 to 7:00!

Reply

I did a fast 3 1/2 miles yesterday. Then made balsamic chicken kabobs and watch the movie Oranges. (not good…)
I’m resting today and eating at Dewey’s in St. Louis! Then Sunday is the fastest 5k in St. Louis, all down hill course!

Reply

I had a time based pyramide at 10K pace on the schedule last night. One word: AWESOME! It felt like one of those days when you wished you were racing rather than training since you feel so strong, happy, and fast!

Reply

the two of them are adorable!

Reply

Ohhhh sweet sleepy Brooke! It’s like someone took out her batteries and she just crashed. I love the last picture! Precious.

Reply

Workout- one word “push” I didn’t feel like running, but it was good to get through it and complete it since I had a busy day ahead.

ps- love Brook’s little outfit- SO cute!

Reply

I haven’t worked out yet today. I’m trying to decide if I should take Bungee running or let her rest after yesterday’s run and just hit the treadmill. Decisions decisions.

Brooke is too cute. At least she wasn’t crying when you were lost, just sleeping :).

What a fun day!

You need to get a backup battery – my JCrew one is a lifesaver!
