Somehow I am in Utah again.

Brooke and I landed in Utah at about 1:30 a.m. this morning (thanks a lot Southwest for trying to ruin the fact that Brooke and I like to get at least 9 hours of sleep a night by delaying our plane 4 hours… I wish I was exaggerating:).

There is a huge/awesome/great/ginormous reason WHY I am in Utah…..

These crazy cats (my sister and her fiancé) are getting hitched today. I will only be in town for about 32 hours but it will be a really fun 32 hours.

I am upset about one thing. My mother in law was very sad that I took Brooke away from her just a little while after we got there and so she did something very unkind.

She started making lasagna (my favorite food EVER ((even more so than ice cream)) right as I was leaving for the airport. The smell of it almost knocked me unconscious.

We were in a fight until I remembered that she left these goodies on my bed the night before (oh and I also made her pinky promise to save me a piece of lasagna to eat the second I get back on Friday).

Those caramels are my new favorite items from TJ’s.

While we are on the subject of treats at my in-laws house I have two very important treats to discuss with you:

1. My FIL brought these home from work. If you haven’t tried these before then you haven’t lived.

2. The best addition to hot chocolate EVER.

IMG 6901

Back to my sad story (sorry for the interruption), Brooke had milk and I had a pb&j on the plane while the Jacobs’ family was enjoying hot out of the oven noodle, cheese and sauce goodness.

I’ll squeeze in a quick run this morning and then it is on to wedding festivities. All of my siblings are also in town and so it is bound to be a good time.

Congratulations to your sister..what an exciting time of year to get married! :) My anniversary is 10/20 (I just got married this year!) but I did always think a December wedding would be beautiful.

All of this food talk got me hungry..and not for breakfast even though it is 7am! I am definitely PRO lasagna. Who wouldn’t be?!

Sounds like you’ll have a fun 32 hours!! I’m home for the Holidays, but working from home at the same time, at least I don’t have to be in the office though!

My work schedule will drop to half over the next couple of weeks for the holidays. Fine by me!

I went to be early last night only to wake up to a snow day! I could have stayed up late and slept in, but no. I already had my 8 hours of sleep and am up for the day. Darn.

Lasagna? It’s okay. I eat veggie lasagna sometimes. I’m not a fan of red sauce.

Reply

Congratulations to your sister! I can’t wait for pictures!!

Reply

I got those marshmallows the other day, waiting to get home to Canada to bust them open though!

Winter weddings are the best, Jan 5th over here!

Happy Wedding Day to your sister! That’s fun you are back there already. I have not been sleeping enough. I’m not in bed until about 10:30 and I have been waking up at least twice a night. Then I’m up at 4:30 or 5 to run. I don’t know what the deal is with my sleep. 7 hours is perfect for me. More or less makes me a little crazy which means I’m a little crazy right now. Fun times.

CONGRATS to your sister! I am.so excited for her and her adorable little family. Have such an amazing day with your family celebrating!

Our anniversary is Sept 23rd. The day we got married was seriously perfect. The clouds/sky in our pics are ridic.

Of course I have had those oreos and mallows before ;) Any time I see a new flavor of oreos, I don’t hesitate to purchase and try. Those caramels though? Sound amazing! I need them in my life. Now.

Can’t wait to see all the pics and hear about the big day. Love you!

Congrats to your sister! How fun. Mommy lasagna :)

I’ve been falling asleep at 9pm, waking up enough to walk to bed, then sleeping until 6:30am. I have 16 of work (spread out in 2 days) until I’m off of work for 11 days straight. I’m so excited!!

Reply

Congrats to your sister! Sending blessings their way! Our anniversary is July 10, 2010 :-)

Reply

Wow, what a whirlwind trip! Have a great time! :) December weddings are the best … of course, I’m partial, since ours was on December 18th! ;)

Reply

Ok, the birthday cake oreos are AMAZING and highly addictive!! :) I also came across peppermint marshmallows at the store and immediately had to get them for myself and my girls’ hot chocolates. I love reading your posts every day so thank you for the motivation with running and the smiles for all your stories :)

Reply

Quick question, how did you get milk onto the plane? When I tried flying with breast milk or formula they treated me like a terrorist. They even patted down my 11 month old!

Reply

No way!!!! I can’t believe that!!! They just tested mine and that is it:)

Reply

I can’t decide what sounds more yummy the TJ’s caramels or birthday cake oreos, but I know I will be getting both!
Speaking of oreos, I am doing some baking this weekend and one dessert I was going to attempt were oreo bombs. Crush a whole pack of oreos (possibly bday cake ones now), and combine with 1 package of cream cheese. Roll into balls and dip them in melted chocolate, let them set and drizzle with melted white chocolate. Talk about heaven in your mouth!
Hope you have a nice time at the wedding, I am looking forward to being off of school all next week!

Reply

Congrats to your sister! How exciting!

For the holidays, my company gives us off Monday and Tuesday, plus New Year’s Day. I’m also using my vacation time to take off next Wed through Friday making it a nice long vacation for myself.

Have fun in Utah!

I’m confused but I swear your sister just got engaged? or did time just go by really fast? Either way Congrats to your sis. She is going to be gorgeous and I cannot wait to see pics.

I just blogged about marshmallows today! I love openning multiple bags of them and dumping them into a ziplock bag. Instead of bags of chips I have bags of marshmallows. I have not seen the peppermint ones but will keep my eyes pealed. I have pumpkin marshmallows and mint chocolate chip. Strawberry ones are my favorite though.

Ok, you SERIOUSLY need to try the limited addition coconut oreos! But don’t expect them to be like oreos. They are more like thin mints but with coconut! You will love them… unless you don’t like coconut, in which case I can’t read your blog anymore. Sorry, I’m not sorry… jk jk ;)

Congrats to your sister and lovely family! Happy holidays!

Those TJ’s caramels are the BEST. My boyfriend and I are obsessed with them. I had to get some for my family for the holidays! I have a feeling I’m going to end up eating the majority of them though…
