I have to share two sweet cousin moments that I caught with my camera yesterday:

1.  Please look at how they are kind of holding hands and how sweet my brother’s little boy looks and how excited Brooke is to be sitting up like a big girl with her cousin and apple hat.

2.   She is going to have a hard time leaving all of her cousins giving her attention 24 hours a day.

It has been 3.5 months since the last time I visited my second home known as Yogurtland in Orem.  This Yogurtland offers the best froyo flavors (S’MORE and BROWNIE BATTER froyo in my bowl) and the freshest most chocolatey toppings.  Please note that they only had the ginormous 1/2 gallon cups left and this is not one of the little cups barely filled up… $4.32 worth of froyo to be exact.

I should have gotten 22 more of those brownies, they were the perfect topping for the brownie batter froyo.

Judging by Brooke’s cheeks I worry I am not feeding her enough;)  I finally saw my ASHLEY!   She is KILLING it in Crossfit… girl is STRONG!  PS she is also running the Tinkerbell half in January and I am beyond jealous.  I think that would be the best race ever.

Meet Brooke’s favorite way to be held.  She can be really upset about something and the second you hold her like this she forgets all about why she was so sad in the first place.  The magic hold.

Candice, Ash, Janrooke, Rachelle and Jen.  Jen was in town for a bridal shower and was brilliant enough to put together this little meet-up at my favorite place.  Nothing better than talking about babies, running and races.

What looks like a big pile of random food is actually one of the most delicious meals that I have had in a long time.  My grandma (MER) invited us all over for Pizza Factory pizza, breadsticks and lasagna. She also had her delicious fruit salad and a green salad there waiting for us too.  Say what you want but nothing compares to deep dish bbq chicken pizza.  There is no better pizza in the world (I tend to exaggerate a little bit).

Today will make it 3 days in a row of running outside.  A huge record for me.  I haven’t even stepped on a treadmill in a week.

What do you call your grandma?

-Mer.

Ever tried CrossFit?  Do you want to try CrossFit?

-After talking to ash I really want to.

What is your Saturday morning run?

The pics of Brooke with her cousins are just adorable! You sound really “at home” and contented – I wish I felt more like that around my parents…

I called mine Granny (or Granny Jo when we were younger) and Grandma. Neither are still with us, but I do have a step-granny too :)

One grandma is Maz and the other is Gramma. We called her Grammie till we were teens, then it sounded babyish! I like Cross fit style workouts but never tried the real deal! Brooke is the cutest! My baby girl is 8, goes fast!

Brook is so adorable, it looks like you are having a good time in UT. I am also visiting family and my boyfriend in Salt Lake, heading back to WA on Sunday. The elevation does kick your butt during running, I never noticed it until I moved away. Hope you have a good day, enjoy your family (and froyo!)

I call my grandmother from my mom’s side “Nanima” & from my dad’s side “Badimama”—> Indians ;)!

such a sweet picture of Brooke and your nephews–makes my heart melt;-)

Crossfit scares me, but I would love to try it! 4 mile run today–finally back running this week. I want to go farther, but I do not want to get injured!

I am running outside for the third day in a row too, and it’s so nice!!! Enjoy it:)
I have never tried crossfit, and I don’t really want to – I feel like I would get way too into it and I can’t support another habit like that;-)
I’m hoping for 10 miles today, but my little guy gets up at 5am and I’m exhausted, so we’ll see!
Have a great weekend!!

One grandma is a MaMawm the other we just call Grandma Kerr. SInce I have a married kid now I have been lobbying for my eventual grandkids to call me either Lolli or Nonni and my hubs Poppi.
I did CrossFit to prep for a Tough Mudder. Pretty intense workout but not my favorite. I’ll stick with running and classes at my gym.
My 10 year old and I have a 5 k this morning. I love running with my boy. He’s getting addicted and I couldn’t be happier.

I have really wanted to try crossfit, it’s just so darn expensive. Headed out to run my normal 7! Have a great day!

Did you say S’MORES froyo?! I’m so jealous!!! I’ve never seen that flavor but I already know it’s my favorite. Your spread of food at your grandmother’s house looks pretty good to me :) Carb heaven!

The froyo looks amazing! :)

I call my grandmas ‘oma’ and ‘grandma’. It’s nice to have two different names so you can distinguish between the two. And we think my little guy will be calling my parents ‘Nana’ and ‘Granddad’.

Do you know what Brooke will call her grandparents?

My grandma is simply called Grandma. Today’s run is going to be 13 freezing cold miles. The feels like temp is 14. I might die.

Reply

I call my grandmother on my dad’s side “MeeMaw” and on my mom’s side she’s just “Grandma.”

Today I’m going to run in the afternoon because it suddenly got quite cold and I’m trying to run when it’s warmest! Probably doing 4 miles today, maybe more, maybe less. We’ll see how I feel!

I call my grandmother nanny. I have always been interested in cross fit, but I am much too intimidated to try it. Maybe one day! :)

Those cousin pictures are priceless – so so sweet. I love Brooke’s cheeks!!!!!

I haven’t tried Crossfit yet, but I am going with a friend next month, and I have a feeling I will be hooked! I can’t wait to get started!

My grandmother was Mamaw (we were incredibly close), and my other grandmother was Mia (she passed away when my mom was 19, so I never got to meet her, but that’s what my cousins called her).

Reply

My grandmoms were – and will forever be – Gram and Grandmom Dot. I miss them every day <3

Also: SMORES frozen yogurt?! A Yogurtland just opened near me – now I must try it out!

Reply

My grandmothers were Grandma & Nana. My mom is Mimi to my kids.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE CrossFit :)

I’ll do my run after CrossFit or tomorrow.

Looks like Brooke is just thrilled with all of her cousins–so very cute!

That first pic is adorable! Brooke is a lucky girl – the majority of my family lives in Poland so I was never able to see them while I was growing up. And speaking of family, I call my grandma Babcia… it’s just the Polish word for grandma :)

Reply

I haven’t had froyo since I moved away from the West coast. Looks yummy.

I call my grandma, Grandma “Last Name.”

Crossfit is fun! Wish I could still get free workouts at work, but I moved.

Still no running for me.

I am so in love with Brooke. Please can I keep her? please?

and if you want to come try CrossFit this week, just let me know. :)

I would LOVE to try crossfit, it’s just too expensive to actually join for me now… No run today, too sad to talk about it. Oh and we call my grandmother Granann. Her name is Ann and she didn’t want to be called Grandma, so she came up with this alternative. My mother now wants to be called Granpam (her name is Pam…) whenever one of us has kids. We’ve tried to tell her it doesn’t flow as well but she’s not listening…

Cousins are so cute!
Glad the weather is good for you to run outside. It’s been tempting me like crazy, but I’m still on the injury list.
I do have a TRX (suspension training) class to go to and it will kick my butt.
I know lots of people that love cross-fit, but I already have a gym membership and buy lots of Pilates/trx/yoga class packages. I can’t even imagine throwing in another activity. Well, I am thinking of swimming this winter, maybe.
I do use the cross fit style of eating and I love that!

Reply

The cousins picture is too sweet! I have three grandmothers and I call them Nana, P, and Grandma.

Reply

Aw, that is so cute that they are kind of holding hands!

I only have one grandma and I call her “Grandma”…clever, I know!

Never tried CrossFit but would love to!

This morning’s workout involves helping a friend move and then hitting up the gym for a strength session!

1. Brooke’s apple outfit is the cutest thing ever!!! Besides Brooke, of course! ;)
2. Now I want fro-yo.
3. Now I also want to do crossfit because daaaang girl is TONED!!
4. Today is my Thanksgiving #2 (yay for being married!!! it means two thanksgivings!) and I am about to get a Jillian workout before heading out to eat lots more food!! :)

One of my grandmas is “Grammy” and the other has a lot of names. Her name is Hope, but we call her “Hop, the Hop-a-long, Hoppie, The Great White” She is a really colorful person, it deserves appropriate nicknames

I loved Crossfit…I kinda miss it.

Even though it’s only 9 on the morning here now I REALLY want some frozen yogurt! Brownie batter sounds so good.

I did an easy run in Tahoe (here with my boyfriend’s family). I will do another run if there is time. Looks like you’re enjoying your time back home!

Reply

Cheeeeeeks! I just wanna squeeze them!! Brooke must be loving UT and so happy you got to meet up with some of my UT favs. I feel like Ashley and I should’ve meet months ago we have so much in common!! Hugs!

Such a sweet picture! I am a huge believer in the “magic hold.” Whenever I hold a baby in that position, they always calm down and they love it. It must soothe their little bellies. So glad your having a great visit with your family. I’m sure they can’t get enough of darling little Brooke…and you too of course:)

Reply

No Saturday running – way too much slacking right now! Ach!

You’re going to be so glad to be taking all these precious pictures of Brooke in the future! Absolutely adorable!

Reply

Omg I wish there was a frozen yogurt place here! I call my grandmother Bestamor, sounds weird but it’s Danish.

Reply

Mmm that yogurt (or toppings, hahahha) looks delicious!

Reply

That top picture makes my heart melt – leaning in to each other, hands holding. So adorable. You can tell she is a social baby (wonder where she gets that from) and loves to be around people.

Reply

Yum, s’more froyo is delish! I love all the cousin pics. I used to be obsessed with my cousins. They will be BFFs for sure :)

I LOVE Brooke’s little hat! Enjoy home!
