I almost always get my workout on during Brooke’s first nap of the day because I am a morning exerciser but today my run didn’t happen until noonish.  After her bath she fell asleep in my arms and I was FORCED to sit on the couch and eat out of a bag of cereal that was next to me and stare at her while she slept.  There was no way I was putting this girl down.

Photo

After she woke up we played around for a while, ate and during her next nap I hopped on the treadmill.

Picture from yesterday… I think that my gym really needs to invest in a little something called air conditioning.  In the long run it will save them millions of dollars because then I wouldn’t be breaking everything in there by sweating a bucket right onto their cardio machines.

Photo 1 copy 2

Today I ran until Brooke woke up which turned out to be 10 miles at an 8:15 average pace.  It is kind of fun not having a training plan and never knowing what my run will be and letting Brooke decide the distance…. PS I think I may have found a Thanksgiving race to start training for hence the motivation to run today.

Time for some wonderful tangents:

Billy and I were twiners on Saturday night and I was so excited about it I had to take a picture of it and show you guys because I know you all share the same love of twinning (just because I used to be a teacher doesn’t mean that I have to use real words) someone that I do.

A few of you told me to try TJ’s FMW.  I was reluctant.  I was nervous.  I put off doing it until I was emotionally stable.  You guys were right, they are incredible and this flavor tastes like FMW dipped straight into maple syrup.  Since I am a FMW expert I do like that the regular brand of FMW absorbs more milk into each mini wheat, these ones are more dense which does not allow for the same milk absorption.  Overall, they have won first place in my heart.

Photo 2

I found this on our counter?  Billy explained it to me and was beyond excited about his new little butter crockpot.

Photo 4

Since these 3 little ones have been such a huge part of my life I cannot stop posting pictures of them on the blog.  I have to give you a little update every now and then to remind you how cute they are.

IMG 4939

For lunch I had  the best salad I have ever made.  Tilapia, romaine, cabbage, steamed carrots and zucchini and 1/2 a cup of guac.  The pb and j pita was pretty darn good too.

DSC 4365

I torture myself by looking at the lululemon website.  Everything is beautiful but law school sucks all of our money even though I NEED to spend $200 on a new running outfit for when I run on my porch treadmill and the only person that can see me is Brooke.

Screen Shot 2012 10 16 at 1 23 31 PM

I found my favorite SOYJOY bar flavor and decided to take a picture of it on a baby stomach.  Brooke is always grabbing for my food.

Photo copy 3

I am still watching Friday Night Lights when I feed Brooke during the night.  Nothing like getting emotionally invested in a bunch of high-schoolers football careers at 3 in the morning and secretly hoping that Brooke wakes up a few more times during the night so that I can watch more.  I just started season three and I am experiencing anxiety just knowing I don’t have that many seasons left.

Photo copy 2

Is there a show that you are or have been emotionally invested in to the point where you feel like they are your real life friends with the characters?

Tell me about some tangents from your day!!!

When do you plan out your daily run?  According to your training plan?  RIght before you walk out the door to go run?  Do you plan them weekly?  Run until you have to stop for work/school/kids?

BAHAHA I am going to have to agree with you on that! Hope you are having a great day Chelsa!

Oh how I love lulelemon too! I walk through that store touching everything and dreaming of the day I can buy something. The Ta Ta Tamer is on my Christmas list. My sister pointed me to your blog and I’ve enjoyed reading it. Keep it up!

Reply

Seriously, every item in that store is heavenly. Let me know if you get the Ta Ta Tamer and if you like it (is it possible to not like something from lulu?). Thanks so much for your comment and keep in touch!

i love brooke’s little headband in the 1st pic! so adorable

Thanks Mallory!! Let me know what you put in your salad for dinner tonight!

OHEMGEE. I was obsessed with FNL and watched it well after the actual aired show was over. I went through the same sadness knowing every episode I watched brought me closer and closer to the end..I almost refused to watch the last ep because I couldn’t accept that it was over. I still am hoping it will come back! Best. Show. Ever. Tammy Taylor Y’all!!

Reply

YES… you explained the sadness that I am experiencing perfectly. Lets start a petition to get the show back on!

Reply

There was a petition!! That’s why they added the last season!!! I think first time I’ve ever heard of that actually working

Reply

Are you serious?!?! That is the coolest thing ever!

Reply

OMG as well!! I watched FNL when I was up in the night feeding my son! I got so many tears on the top of his head. It was my favorite! I’m due again in December and have decided to re-watch in the night and I’m probably more excited than I should be. FNL is the best middle of the night up with baby show ever!

Reply

I looooooved that show so much and I know exactly what you mean being emotionally invested. I still have a huge crush on Coach.

Reply

YEP… I do too Jan!

Reply

I miss Curly too!
I was totally invested in Friends and ER back in the day. Now that I’m in nursing school, I feel a special kinship with Nurse Hathaway.

Reply

So when are you guys going to come visit us in N. Cali?!?! I can’t wait for Brooke to fit into her TOMS! PS I love Rylee’s senior jeans. Tell her hi for me!

Reply

That lululemon tank is SO cute! I think I need it, since none of my former workout clothes fit any longer. At least that’s the excuse I shall tell my husband. ;)

Reply

YES… treat yourself to some new workout clothes. I hope you are feeling good and getting some rest!

Reply

I am currently obsessed with FNL and I don’t know what I was doing back in 2006 that seemed more important than watching this show. I actually tell my husband that I’m going to watch the Panther game when he asks what I’m doing so if that isn’t a sick level of obsession and pretending that TV is real, I don’t know what is!

Reply

I AGREE!! TV IS REAL:) I love hearing from others with a deep obsession with this show.

Reply

That Lulu shirt is SO cute. I think I NEED it!

I usually plan my workout the night before so I know what I’m going to do the next morning.

Reply

That first pic of Brooke is one of the cutest yet! You seriously have a cute baby! Today’s tangent would be discovering stem ginger oat biscuits – they are tummy and (kinda) healthy! Must. Not. Eat. Them. All. In. One. Go…

Reply

I generally don’t plan out any runs unless I’m training. Then I’ll plan out my long runs on Saturdays and play it by ear the rest of the week.

Your gym totally needs A/C. That is crazy that they don’t have it in CA!

Reply

Love me some FNL! :)

Reply

Wow Janae- the 1st pic of Brooke is so beautiful! You need to blow that up and get it framed ASAP :)

And wow- your nephew has really grown- he looks like a young man now!

I definitely get really attached to tv shows a lot- right now I’m still mourning Prentiss leaving Criminal Minds and Elliott leaving law and order SVU. I recently started watching 24 on netflix and am definitely a little obsessed!

Reply

I totally agree… he looks so much older lately. OH CRIMINAL MINDS… so so good. We love that show. Hope you are having a great day and thanks for your sweet words about Brooke!

Reply

I LOVE Friday Night Lights! I watched all of the seasons at once on Netflix and I think I would scream at the tv begging Julie and Matt Saracen to work as loud as most boys do when they are watching sports. Also Brooke is getting cuter and cuter and jealous of your treadmill view of the pool!

Reply

I found a grass hopper in my salad today. It was towards the last bite and I just happened to look down and I was about to stick my fork in the poor little guy. I might have screamed and gagged a bit. So since I couldn’t bring myself to finish my salad in case there were any more creatures waiting for me I ate a frozen Reese PB Halloween egg. How is that for a tangent?

And I love how Curly is eyeing that mascot, I would be suspicious too of a 6 foot animal rocking a football jersey posing for a picture.

Reply

Best tangent ever! I am so glad you didn’t eat the grasshopper ha! I need a frozen Reese PB halloween egg right this second!

Reply

I hope you know how incredible you look for having just had a baby!! That is all.

Reply

Wow! Thanks Katie! You made my day:)

Reply

My husband and I both watched FNL together last year and loved it. It is soooo addicting to watch one episode, and another and another and suddenly its 1am on a tuesday and you have to go to work the next day!! Love everyone on that show and when the series was over, I would seriously say “i miss Riggins, Coach Taylor, etc” haha Enjoy!

Reply

Oooh Lululemon, how I wish you weren’t so darn cute & expensive all at once! ;)

Random tangent: I almost died today….I saw a huge bug on my porch, and I almost sat on it! UGH.

Love how cute Brooke is!

Reply

Lululemon makes my aspirational workout clothes, like someday when I become a real athlete I will deserve to shell out for them. (Working — verrrry slowly — toward my first 5K.)

My only current TV obsession is Once Upon A Time, which is so so so good! At least once per episode I have the *gasp*-oh-no-they-didn’t moment. But I have to watch it on DVR because I can’t wait through the commercials to see what’s going to happen.

Reply

You got me obsessed with Make It or Break It….I can’t wait for it come back!! I have to know who wins!

Reply

I visit the Lululemon website daily just to look at all of the awesome workout clothes I can’t afford. I NEED a pair of the runniing capris…I’m hoping Santa will gift them to me at Christmas. :)

LOST was the one show where I was fully invested in the characters. I was ridiculously sad when it ended.

Reply

Oh Janae… why? WHY did you have to post that picture of the cute lulu tank? I was doing so well with avoiding walking into that store or browsing online, and you just went and ruined me. Seriously the cutest top ever. I need that in my life…

Reply

I am obsessed with everything that is reality tv…love me some Housewives on Bravo! Sure it is dumb but when you have to be serious all day at work from 9 am to 5 pm it’s nice to lose a few brain cells with some trash tv ;-)

No real tangents today…got my 6 miles in this morning so I’m happy! Def am a morning runner. When the evening comes I lose all motivation. It’s taper time for me so I am looking fwd to rocking the Marine Corps marathon in less than 2 wks! Woot!!

Nice job on the run!

Reply

How adorable is little Brooke in those first two photos! I love her headband!

I can totally relate to your emotional attachment to Friday Night Lights… I was the same exact way when we were getting toward the end of it. I still miss it!

Reply

I saw your sister and her kids at the stadium after the football game on Saturday! I recognized “Curly” first and then recognized your sister too. I almost said “hi!” but luckily I remembered that they don’t know me. I would just be crazy stalker girl. You’re right, they are cute!

My TV obsession is McLeod’s Daughters from Australia. It’s on Netflix. I love, love that show and recommend it to everyone! There’s a few episodes that no matter how many times I see them, they always make me cry. When I’m watching them, my inner voice develops an Australian accent. Kind of weird, but fun!

I’m very new to running and am trying to build up how long I can go before I feel like I’m going to die. I won’t tell you what I’m up to because it’s embarrassing by comparison, but it’s longer than it used to be! And I guess that’s all that counts. Your enthusiasm and diligence inspires me to keep going!

Reply

Your comment made me tear up a little bit because you got to see them! Aren’t they the cutest? No comparing! I started running when I was 12! We all start out small! Keep it up and keep me updated with how it is going!

Reply

I wish I could just POKE at Brooke’s cheeks..like seriously.
All my friends who know me know that’s what I do with babies. (I’ve actually never held a baby before, mom’s probably don’t trust me. )

I’m never consistent with my daily run/exercise.
Yesterday it was 8am, a couple of days before that it was 11:30pm! (24 hour gyms!)

Reply

Right now my runs are whenever I feel like it, but in 3 weeks I’m starting up a half marathon training plan! I’m excited to have another goal now that the marathon is over. I feel so lost…

Reply

After moving in July, most of our stuff is still in boxes and piled up in the garage. But I found my fall decorations today and had a nice time putting them out around the house.
I follow a training plan. I am not a wing-it kind of girl.

OOOHH that Soy Joy bar looks SOOOOO GOOD! I am actually looking for a good protein bar (emphasis on GOOD) that doesnt taste terrible but has a good amount of protein. I have a really hard time getting enough protein in my diet like it is. I bought a few different kinds of Luna bars today to try and see if I like but do you have any favorites that you would suggest? Thanks! Hope you are having a fabulous day snuggling with your little angel! =)

Reply

Janae, you’ve inspired me to get faster. I’ve run 2 half-marathons and my PR is 2:13. I’ve made a goal to train for and run a sub-2. I’m looking for an awesome half in Jan/Feb/Mar of 2013. I’ve never really tried any speedwork, so I’m nervous and excited!

Reply

You are incredible!!! You’ve got this! Thank you for your comment and PLEASE keep me updated with how your running is going!

Reply

Great to meet you Sun at the race! The Turkey Trot in Walnut Creek is super fun and not too many people. So much fun!

Reply

Brooke just gets cuter every day. Plus, I love little girl clothes!!!!!!
Now I want a PBJ on a pita, why does that sound so much better than on bread? Must have!

Reply

That Brooke! Geesh! Too cute. I would never want to put her down either.

I plan my runs the day before or right before I head out for my run – just depends on what I can get in for the day. I did follow my marathon training plan to a T though. First time in my life I have ever followed a training plan. Go me. Now I feel lost as to what to do. Today I just ran 4 before the bodypump class. It finally felt like my first ‘normal’ run since the race. Bout friggin time!

Tangents – I dried several pears that were too ripe so that I wouldn’t waste and could prolong their life. Only to scarf down ALL of them when they were done. Dried pears = delicious.

I ordered some protein/snack bars the other day and I got them in the mail today. Only instead of snack bars, they were bars of soap and sulfur cream?? I checked the order and the invoice and it all says I should have got my protein bars. So random.

I will have to show Ross that butter bowl. He has this whole theory/story about how if we DON’T have a butter dish we could all die. But we still don’t have one so his theory isn’t working for him ;)

Reply

I have to plan all my runs on Monday so I can get excited about them and psych myself up for my long runs on Saturday morning.

PS. What kind of headband are you wearing in the gym picture? I really need one and can’t find any I like.

Reply

That lululemon top!!! Oh my goodness..I want it!

Also..Brooke…she is just the most adorable little baby. I wouldn’t put her down either.

My sister is a runner and has tried to get me to go. I have a hard time running but I think I’m going to try it..you make it look so fun and I’d love to be able to just lace up and go. I do group exercise classes to keep in shape and I feel like a slave to a schedule sometimes and running seems to be the opposite for my sister (she can do it whenever). I’m hoping I can push past being tired and really slow and improve.

Reply

I get emotionally invested in EVERY show. Grey’s Anatomy? Yes. Friends? I STILL cry when I watch the series finale, even though I know every word. ER? Absolutely.

I think I need help ;)

Reply

I just watched an episode of Downtown Abbey and cried the last 20 minutes. It was so sad and I just love that show. So good, sigh.

Reply

Watching FNL is a little like watching your children grow up. It’s so good, and you love every second, when it’s over you feel better but you don’t regret it. (haha, ok, that was a bit overly dramatic — but it is a good show and it is a little bittersweet when it ends).

Reply

I meant to tell you about that cereal, glad other people did. It’s amazing. Love it!

I was seriously sad when I got to the end of Friday Night Lights, I was way into it. My next series was Parenthood, I highly recommend. Best part….there are characters from our beloved Friday Night Lights. Lila is on it for a while, the black quarter back’s Mom is on one episode and Billy’s brother is on one episode. Made me smile ; )

That top is too cute, someone was wearing it last night in my body pump class and I was super jealous as I was in my faded worn out Target crap. Ugh.

Reply

Your posts are always my favorite that I read everyday! And Brooke gets cuter by the minute I think :)

I miss running so bad (can’t imagine how you, as a seasoned runner, took the time off for injury) and as a reward for not running I might purchase some Lulu!!

Reply

I want that top! It is so cute!! I added it to my card 3 times today and didn’t pull the trigger, but seeing it here made me want it even more. Ah! What to do?! Why does lululemon have to send me daily emails with the cutest workout stuff ever, and why am I physically incapable of unsubscribing?

Reply

I can’t handle the Brooke cuteness. She’s too adorable. I feel like I’m a part of the Pritchett fam from modern family and want to go to Maclarens with the how I met your mother gang. Love those shows,

Reply

I love FNL, I have watched the whole series twice. Tammy Taylor is my hero, I want to be just like her when I grow up.

Reply

I’m totally attached to the OC. Secretly I’m in love with Seth Cohen (and maybe Ryan too) but basically I love everything about that show even though my roommate from Laguna Beach can’t stand it and makes fun of me every time I watch it.
Lulu Lemon is actually such a problem for me. Athleta too. I just want to buy everything and look super cute when I’m running! Unfortunately, my college student budget tells me that I should save that money for something more important so I’m stuck running in my race t-shirts and TJ Maxx finds (which are actually kind of cute sometimes)
p.s- Sperry’s are the greatest shoes ever invented. and since I’m clearly a shoe expert, I know what I’m talking about.

Reply

I haven’t watched Friday Night Lights but most of your tv choices are right on so maybe I’ll give it a try :) The high school thing is right up my alley, I love Mary-Kate & Ashley movies and I still watch a Cinderella Story when I have a crappy day :-D My bf tried to tell me last time I did this that it’s ridiculous for a lawyer to come home and watch Hilary Duff movies in her pink pj’s after a bad day in court, but I think it’s totally legit!

Um, if it makes you feel any better, I’ve been done law school for 4.5 years now and it’s still sucking up all my disposable income in the form of student loans. Sad cause I’d totally spend all my $ on cute running tanks too!

I’m so bad for feeling like I’m friends with the characters on tv shows. I feel like Elliot (from Scrubs) & I are BFF’s and Dexter’s sister and I are totalllly BFFs haha

Reply

Brooke is so precious. Love her pink headband!

Reply

Yet another reason to love your blog- Friday Night Lights commentary! That is hands down the best show that’s ever been on tv :)

Reply

Yes!!! I am totally hooked on White Collar right now and I loved watching Downton Abbey…..season 1 is on netflix and season 2 can be watched by doing the 1 week free trial of huluplus…..season 3 is being posted on a facebook page that I am so grateful for! I am totally obsessed!!! :O)

Reply

I was emotionally attached to Felicity in college and still talk about it to my husband…he doesn’t get it! I would love to get in Netflix and relive it!

Reply

I feel emotionally invested in every. Single. Show I watch hahahah. And yes I loooooove Lululemon too!!

Reply

I love Gilmore Girls a little too much. I have watched the DVD’s more times than I care to admit. The show ended years ago yet I still love them just the same. See… I just said them and that was a total accident. I remember one weekend I was sick so I watched an entire season that weekend while in bed. By the end of the weekend I almost started telling stories about something that happened to a friend of mine. That “friend” was Rory Gilmore. Good thing I stopped myself before I actually started talking like a crazy person.

Reply

Janae, I have no IDEA how you ran so much and so well during your pregnancy! I am 14 weeks, finally have enough energy to run since August and it was simply awful. I was so much slower and occasionally got really no for table so I had to stop to a walk. Color me seriously impressed with your pregnancy running! Also, Brooke is looking cuter and cuter by the day!

Reply

When I saw you post that first picture on instagram I about died. What an angel! And I loved FNL. Right now, I’m going through all of my seasons of Gossip Girl during my runs but I switch back and forth between that and HIMYM.

Reply

So cute! I plan training based on baby sleeping and energy level plus try for four times per week. Love Parenthood!!

Reply

It kind of looks as though Brooke is giving that bar the finger! Your nephew and nieces are looking so much older. Yikes, it goes fast. (actually, that probably isn’t cheering you up – they look just like before and I’m sure they will stay exactly the same until the next time you are home). I LOVED Downton Abbey when it was on. Can’t wait for the next season.

Reply

BAHAHAH I noticed that too but I still posted it:) I need to get into Downtown Abbey asap!

Reply

I love FNL and was SO sad when I finished all the episodes. Parenthood has a lot of the same actors from FNL. Still waiting for Tim Riggins and Matt Saracen to show up:)

Reply

Clara is at the age where she doesn’t sleep as well in her carseat/stroller as she does in her crib. Thus it is hard to workout during her morning nap when I know she won’t sleep as well/as long. Ugh! Decisions decisions. :)

I am totally emotionally invested in the show Parenthood!!

Reply

A girl in my yoga class had that top on (in black) – it was really cute on her! I dream of the day when I can spend that kind of money on workout gear.

Reply

I feel your pain about the hot gym. Ours was 78 degrees the other day! I thought I was having a heat stroke!

My show was the OC in high school and college. I lived and breathed by that show! Now I would have to say The Office. Oh, Jim and Pam.

hello love!!!
I am also following the run “when and how far I feel like” plan…LOVE it!
did you LOVE NWM?! I need to read back a few posts!
ummm BROOKE IS BEAUTIFUL…like top 3 prettiest baby’s I’ve EVER seen! I can’t wait to meet her. Are you so excited to hear what her voice sounds like??! :)
I am currently sitting on my ball chair with CHOCOLATE Frosted Mini Wheats and OMG they are amazing…a MUST BUY!!!
I love thanksgiving morning races…my entire family does one in Sacramento every year.

Reply

Oh and the West Wing was my favorite ever show…and I cried so hard during the last episode!! I went to DC this year and was more excited about being in the city of CJ Cregg than Barack Obama!!!

Reply

I was so emotionally invested in FNL, that I sobbed my eyes out during one episode as if it was happening to someone I really knew (I won’t say which episode, in case you haven’t gotten there yet!), and that’s when I knew my obsession was borderline crazy. But Oh well, it’s a great show. Enjoy the last few seasons!!

When I was travelling through Guilin… I took full advantage of the posh gyms at the hotels. Needless to say… NONE of the gyms had air conditioning. This is in the midst of summer in China when humidity & heat is at its worst. Keep in mind… these were all 5-star hotels. I was sweating balls… but I felt comforted knowing I had access to a treadmill for one short week… so I sucked it up & ran my little heart out :)

Haha whenever I get into a TV show, I always feel like the characters are part of my real life….last show this happened with is Suits…love Harvey Spector :)!

kinda… mainly with food show hosts :) they love food, I love food.. i think we’d be good friends :)
some tangents from today… i’ve all of a sudden gotten really into puzzling, very therapeutic and fun but oh so random… yes i’m 25 going on 90 :)
I normally plan out my runs just before I head out the door if its during the week but on the weekend I do longer runs and I like to have them planned so I am able to fit them in as well as having a social life :)

i love friday night lights! i cry way to much in that show. have you watched Parenthood? also a favorite

That lulu shirt is too cute! I can’t even look at their website anymore, it’s too sad knowing I can’t afford any of it.

I had a serious problem with One Tree Hill my sophomore year in college, which happened to be right when I discovered you could watch t.v. FOR FREE online. It was during finals. Needless to say, it wasn’t a good habit. And looking back, One Tree Hill is a ridiculous show!

Reply

Reading the comments above, I am happy to see I’m not the only one who got a crush on coach! I had thought it was a sign I was just getting old…sigh ;) I loved FNL too. I like The Good Wife too, though for different reasons.

With running, I don’t run races as such so don’t keep a plan. I just get ready, go out and decide ad hoc. Frequently the route is determined by who I’m running with (if I go alone I never go down the river path even though it’s my favorite route).

Reply

If and when you run out of FNL to watch, check out “Psych.” I started watching it on Netflix during the summer and it is really funny. I just finished season 2 (my babies sleep through the night finally, at ages 13 and 10) and am racing to finish all the seasons (there are 6) before it starts again in February!

Reply

Janae you are amazing! I’m not even a runner and I adore your blog. I read it every morning while sipping coffee at work and you always remind me to smile and be thankful for my blessings in life!

Oh and lately I’ve been obsessed with Dawson’s Creek on netflix. I’m on season 3 and I try to watch an episode every night… my poor husband haha :)

Reply

I love Grey’s Anatomy. I watch it from the beginning on Netflix very often. I think I’ve seen the entire series all the way through at least 3 times. For the premiere of this season my best friend and I had a sleepover to watch the episode. We ugly cried together and people died. I seriously felt like my friends died. I’m far too emotionally invested in this show. It’s not healthy! :)

Reply

Brooke has the BEST smile. I love her! She is SUCH a happy baby :)

Reply

You need to get the Target Brand FMW. They are the best knock off ones ever. My husband LOVES them and that’s saying a lot cause he only eats brand name cereals. And they are always cheaper than the real ones which is an extra bonus.

Reply

The day I’m at the mall and Lulu happens to have a sale it quickly becomes an absolutely wonderful day :D I hardly buy any of their clothes regular price, rather load up on sale items!

Reply

I am the same way about General Hospital — and then when I meet the actors at their fan events, it raises it another notch!

Reply

I used to record shows just for late night/early morning feedings too!
My runs are based on my days. B/c I work 3 10 hour days, I can only run 2-3 miles those mornings, but the other days are at least 6 each day.

Reply

I have been obsessing over Pretty Little Liars recently. I’m still on the first season, but there are ALOT of episodes in it. The mystery is so so indulging. I watch that when my boyfriend is off coaching (which is alot!) but when he’s home we spend some time watching Parks and Recreation. Amy Poehler absolutely kills me. And Ron Swanson- AAAAND just everything about the whole show. I die.

Reply

I am obsessed with the TV show ALIAS. Seriously if you haven’t watch any of it at least commit to watching the first few episodes before you rule it out.

I recently just fell in love with the tv show Big Bang Theory.

Reply

I run after work, so the length of my run is determined by which roads I can run down before it gets dark and all the serial killers and kidnappers come out. Lately I have been held to the one street by my house with street lights, and its only about a mile long until I get to the part where it runs into the hiway and I have to turn around. Boo. Oh well, a short run is better than no run. Even if I have to do “laps”.

TV Shows I am/was invested in: ‘Brothers & Sisters’. I never was into it when it was on TV, but now its all on Netflix, and I have watched it through once, and am considering doing it a second time. It’s about a large family with way too much drama, but after watching it, I felt myself wanting to be apart of their family! They may be crazy, but at least they keep the wine flowing. My current obsession is ‘Weeds’, though. Ever watch that? I might have to check out ‘Friday Night Lights’. I’ve never seen it but have heard good things…

Reply

Brooke is just so freakin’ adorable!

Let me just say, I have NEVER been into TV shows (except in HS when I would come home and watch Days of our Lives)

I dont even watch TV, I am either working out, reading or sleeping!
We just got a blue ray DVD player and its in the bedroom, and we just discovered on Netflix-Breaking Bad. We watch it EVERY night. Like, we finish dinner at 8pm and hop into bed to watch it.
I even just said to my husband last night ‘I dont ever recall being so excited/sucked in to a TV show, EVER’.
We are only on season 3, and it is funny, sad, on the edge of your seat suspenseful, uggh!!!!

Reply

When my daughter was a newborn
I was addicted to Weeds!! Just sitting on the couch, nursing, I got through multiple seasons. I was sad when Netflix ran out of seasons.

Reply
