Don’t Forget…

but now you just have to wear a costume to get a beautiful Chipotle burrito for only 200 pennies.

I would have to say that today was one of my favorite afternoons that I have had in California so far.

Photo 1

We got our girls all dressed up and took them to a street in Willow Glen lined with businesses that organized trick-or-treating for kids in strollers.  Candy, babies everywhere and the coolest costumes… we were happy campers.

My personal favorite costume of the day:

Can you believe they were giving out FREE red velvet cupcakes.  Seriously, how could today not be your favorite day of the year?

Photo 2

These cute ladies were my favorite (and not just because they gave me two pieces of candy).

Somehow I convinced Brooke to share one of her treats with me because Cookies n’ Creme bars are my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE CANDY BAR ever.

Photo 4

I wore Giants colors and Halloween colors which made everyone think I was really cool.

I think we got enough candy.  Poor Brooke will never have the opportunity to ever eat her Halloween candy because it will be long gone before she even notices.

Part 2 of our lunch at a delicious diner is coming up next but I have to take full advantage of my favorite holiday and take Brooke outside to show off her costume to the neighbors.

Had any Halloween candy today?  What?

Anyone going to Chipotle tonight for $2 burritos?

If you have a dog… do you dress them up for Halloween?

YUM! Looks like “Brooke” got some good stuff ;) I havent had any candy yet but did keep one of each kind of candy that we are handing out for us to enjoy later. I had no idea about chipotle or else I totally would have been there in costume!

HAHAHA!!! Good job to keep some for yourself:) Have so much fun tonight Karen!

I love how you just covered Brooke in candy.

Reply

Would you expect anything different ha. That one is actually my friends baby but I covered Brooke in candy too:)

Reply

Brooke and your friend’s baby look so much alike (especially all bundled) because I definitely thought that was Brooke, too! Bahaha. SO cute.

Reply

It really is the craziest thing… they look alike, they have almost the same name (hers is Brooklyn) and they are only two weeks apart!

Reply

OMG I totally wish I knew about this! I also totally wish our Chipotle didn’t get washed away in the Hurricane so that I could go and get a $2 burrito :( But once again Brooke looks ADORABLE and that candy looks delish!

Reply

No way… that is so sad! How are you doing Julie!

We are fine thanks! Our apartment is far enough away from the shore that we have absolutely no damage- we are also among the 10% of Long Island that didn’t lose power! Our friends who live near the beach have been staying with us all week since their apt has flood damage and they are without water and electricity. Just praying for all those families that lost everything.

You will absolutely LOVE what I dressed my dog in for Halloween. My boyfriend is the head cross country/track & field coach at a univeresity and he brought home bun huggers and a singlet for our English bulldog! In my totally biased opinion, it was THE cutest thing ever. Here’s the link to the post about her costume (pictures and all!): http://lucythebulldog.wordpress.com/2012/10/30/costume-take-ii/. Enjoy!

LUCY IS THE CUTEST THING EVER!!! Her little bun huggers made my day:) Thank you so much for the link, made my day!

Thought you’d enjoy it! Funny that a family of runners got a dog who won’t even go for a walk :-)

So cute! That’s an awesome idea for businesses!
I’ve eaten a couple mini bars so far, but I expect that number to drastically increase when I’m handing out candy tonight! And since it’s so cold, I’m expecting we’ll have a lot of leftovers.
We ALWAYS dress up our dog! This year he’s a shark. I think his best costume was either his Richard Simmons workout ware or his superman costume like the dog you took a photo of!
Happy halloween!

Reply

YAYAYA for leftover candy:) A shark… you better post pictures!

I wish I could rewind my life so I could dress my babies as burritos.

Reply

HAHAHA I am thinking that will be Brooke’s costume next year.

Reply

oh gosh.. I wish I had known about Chipotle’s amazing deal sooner… the manfriend is coming over soon and I’m cooking.

Brooke is so stinking cute I just wanna meet her (and you!). Favorite blogger and baby-blogger-to-be :)

RED VELVET. FREE. My jaw is on the floor.

Sounds like the perfect night!!!! We better get to meet soon. I hope you have so much fun! What are you making tonight?

That makes me SO SO happy! Enjoy every bite!

Okay how is everything always so much cooler in your neck of the woods?! I haven’t seen a single Halloween costume or gotten any free cupcakes! I’m clearly living in the wrong place… especially because we don’t even have a Chipotle up here! I’d be all over the burritos if we did though… Unfortunately I’ll just have to drown my sorrows in KitKats and Smarties ;)

Reply

You need to come move here:) NOOOOO COSTUMES OR CUPCAKES, seriously come here! Enjoy your kitkats and smarties!

Reply

Ah I’m jealous, when you have a baby you get to go trick or treating again! I’ll just have to borrow a baby…

Reply

One of the many reasons I had a baby ha! Yes, borrow one today!

No candy for me today — but my co-worker made fantastic desserts!! Pumpkin muffins for the morning (to warm-up our stomachs’ for lunch apparently!) with plastic eyes, ears, and fingers on top! Then he made a large pan of rice pudding but made it look like a grave yard, a zombie head with red jello all over that made it look like blood pouring out, and a chocolate cake with orange piping. You’d better believe I tried it all!! He’s totally my new favourite. ;)
Hope you enjoy these first few Halloweens! Bet that Brooke inherited your sweet tooth and will start fighting for her candy with stubbornness hitherto unknown!!

Reply

Those muffins sound incredible and the rice pudding is such a good idea! I think you are right about her inheriting my sweet tooth ha!

That dog costume is awesome.
I had two mini pieces of candy today–a KitKat and an Almond Joy :)

Reply

Good choices! Now i need to find an Almond Joy!

I GOT A BOORITO!!!!! BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE!

Reply

I want those sour straw thingies on Brooke’s lap! Tell her to be a good little girl and share! ;)

Reply

I dress my cat up for the holidays, but she doesn’t seem to appreciate it as much as a dog might. ;-)

I’m a candy fanatic, too, and am never far from Red Hots and Chewy Lemonheads and Friends. Maybe it’s a runner thing. Enjoy Brooke’s candy while she is unable to claim it. ;-)

Reply

Brooke looks perfect! Love the photo of the dog too. I want a dog just so I can put him in ridiculous Halloween outfits!

Reply

So … is it safe to say you’re having fun today?! :)

Reply

I had reese’s and kit kat’s, my favorite :)
hmmm i defiantly should make a trip to chipotle now….it just so happens that i have $2 in my purse….
I love dressing my dog up for halloween lol i’m not mean, it doesn’t last very long. once i see her unhappy and pouting i take it off, which is all of 2 minutes that it is on

Reply

I don’t dress up my dog, but after seeing that costume I might have to next year!

Reply

I’m sampling all of the candy for the trick or treaters ” just to make sure it’s still good” lol. We’ve got full size butterfingers, sour patch kids, Swedish fish, nerds and tootsie pops!

Reply

Best treats ever!!! I want to trick or treat at your house!

Reply

My dogs dressed up as a pig and the other one was a slice of bacon..

Reply

Hahahaha I love it! I want to see a picture of it!

Reply

Adorable! Brooke really hit the lottery with that strolled full of candy, too bad she will never know it!

Reply

Brooke’s first halloween! Yay! I’ve been sneaking my son’s pre-halloween (he got a boatload from a halloween party) all day! He had a full size snickers. How could I not dig into that?!

Reply

I’ve been having a little bit of Halloween Candy every day since I went to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party back in September ;)

I try to dress my puppy up but she hates it! She’s usually so hyper but gets all mopey and still when I dress her up. I did make her wear a cute Halloween dress though

Reply

NO candy today. Although the greeter at Sam’s was offering.
Not big on the burrito’s. But you just reminded me that I TOTALLY forgot to get free taco’s for the base-stealing in the World Series.
I don’t believe dogs should be in costumes. But I have seen some really cute ones, including a dog dressed as a taco.

I had Hershey Mini Easter Eggs on Halloween…as long as it’s chocolate, it all works ;)!

Reply

NO HALLOWEEN CANDY… but I had my own dark chocolate on hand, so I ate some. Plus, I live on campus… so not a lot of trick-or-treating going on right now :P
Love love love the picture of sleeping Brooke covered with candies!

Reply

Oh.Em.Gee – that superman outfit on the dog. I can’t. ADORABLE!

Hershey’s cookies n creme IS MY FAVOURITE THING IN THE WORLD.

Have a lovely night!

Reply

That dog costume was awesome! My dog was Batdog, although he ripped his costume off after 10 seconds…but it was on long enough for me to get a picture, at least.

Reply

We were going to go to Chipotle for $2 burritos, but because of Hurricane Sandy we had no way to get there :( Some of the trains are running today so we are going to try tonight.

Reply

Haha looks like Brooke had a great time getting all that candy……… haha!

Reply

That costume is so cute did you see the Subway baby costume? It is cuter than this one! Brooke is getting cuter and cuter everyday!
