The addiction is back.

Monday morning I stopped at 5.5 miles because Brooke (I need to think of a new awesome nickname for her because her hair isn’t as spiky as it used to be so that one does really work anymore) woke up.  We hung out, went on some errands and when we got back she was ready for another nap and so I did 2.5 more miles, turns out it pays to never get out of your sweaty gym clothes because it was super easy to just jump back on the treadmill again.

Lunch was the usual omelet and it looked so boring that I refuse to show you a picture of it.  After lunch we went over to a friends house to hang out on her couch and eat grapes.  When I came home….

I fell into the addiction again.  I should have taken a nap with Brooke yesterday afternoon because my eyeballs were extremely tired but I got onto Pinterest to find some good recipes to make this week and I didn’t leave the site for 80 minutes even though it felt like I was only on it for 5 minutes.  The internet takes over my life.

PS why in the world are there random picture of perfect abs when I am in the food section looking for delicious food filled with cheese and butter?

I found 1 dinner recipe that I want to make and 47 dessert recipes I want to make.

Billy came home and we had a really fancy date night.  We wanted sushi for dinner and had to go to Costco for some other things and so we decided to get some there (the sushi chefs at the restaurant I used to work at would be very disappointed in me for getting Costco sushi and not going to a real restaurant for it).

We figured 40 pieces might be enough for the two of us.

Brooke was awake for the first time during a Costco trip, I was very proud.  She even cried when we left which means that she already has an attachment to that beautiful store.

The dried mangoes are behind the craisins, I give that bag a 4 hour life-span once I open them.

Our sushi set-up.  I was disappointed that there weren’t any chopsticks in the package but got over it when I realized it was easier to shovel the sushi in my mouth with my hands.

Brooke hung out in between us  on the couch reading her books.

And I finished off my beautiful bowl of candy corn heaven.  Must go to store today for more.

Favorite dried fruit…raisins. I love the yogurt covered ones.

Not a sushi fan at all….my biggest time suck used to be Facebook as well but now I love hunting for recipes..I love the taste of home website.
Not sure what the workout will be today! I’m taking my 2 year old to a big indoor play center this morning so will probably be chasing him around (not easy to do when your 8months pregnant haha).

Reply

I love pinterest!! I agree, FB used to be a time suck, but now its blogs and pinterest! i looove sushi, but can only get it in a restaurant, grocery store sushi creeps me out, even though I’m sure it’s perfectly fine!

p.s that pic of brooke is sooooo freaking cute! :)

big time suck is reading other blogs :) (as i sit here at work)

Brooke’s video was adorable, but her hair isn’t nearly as spiky anymore!
I just tried dried mangoes for the first time a few weeks ago and fell in love. Between my husband and me, they don’t last at all!
I think I’m going to do yoga at lunch and then hop on the bike trainer after work. Have a great day!

Brooke looks so excited to be in the Costco checkout line!!! She must love is as much as you do! I need to get to costco soon… I’ve already gone through the three massive jars of almond butter I bought…

Reply

Ohhh my Pinterest is definitely a time sponge, I can’t believe how much time I can spend on there!!

Today’s workout is going to be track practice with my cross country kids. I coach Jr high cross country and it’s the best workout, those guys are fast!!

Reply

I love how Brooke is photo-bombing your picture of the checkout!! And how cute she is reading her book. She has totally stolen my heart — I can only begin to imagine what she’s done to yours. :)
Dried mangoes are BY FAR my favourite. However, I also like dried papaya and coconut (but the supple and chewy kind of coconut, not crispy and crunchy).
I headed out to the track near my house for a running/circuit workout. Phew. I’m glad I get to sit for most of the day at work today — my legs are feeling it!! (Thank you Miss Lindsay of Linday’s List!)
The internet is my time suck. Reading blogs/blogging has somewhat replaced the time that I used to use reading novels … At least I’m still reading ..? haha.

Reply

I’m always impressed with Costco’s quality! I really like their baked goods too, loaded with transfat and all. ;)

Reply

Hehe whenever I’m looking for recipes, I end up with like 20 dessert ones and only a few lunch/dinner ones. Maybe it’s a sign to just start eating dessert for every meal? ;) But yeah, browsing the net is a HUGE time suck… between blogs, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest, I have no idea how I manage to squeeze anything else into the day…

Reply

I love love love sushi! I tend to really like the boring veggie rolls like cucumber rolls and avocado rolls. I don’t know if that even counts as sushi but I love it. I especially love my wasabi/soy sauce combo that is soaked up in the rice. Yummmmm.

Reply

I’m addicted to dried bananas! Blogs are most definitely my biggest time suck….I can read for hours!

Reply

Mmmm! My favorite dried fruit is probably coconut! And bananas! Both delicious :) When I studied abroad in Florence there was a HUGE food market and an entire stall was dedicated to dried fruit – every kind imaginable! Kiwi, strawberries, raspberries, bananas, apricots, coconut – it was great!

Reply

I’ve been loving dried pineapple lately. I can’t get enough!!

Reply

I am currently addicted to dried pomegranates. I can’t stop/don’t want to ever stop eating them. I can get lost in blogs and pintrest alllllll day. It is pathetic how much time I can loose clicking away :/ Workout for today is an easy run and a dance lesson.

Reply

I don’t have a favorite dried fruit, there’s so many good ones, but I have a mango and cherry mix from Costco right now.
As for sushi, I’m ADDICTED and absolutely love it!!
Just like most others, fb used to be the top time sucker on the internet but now it’s definitely blogs and pinterest! The past year has also been full of wedding stuff but that’s coming to an end because we’re now 32 away!!
Today’s workout will probable be an easy 3-4 miles after my 12hr shift, but I did run 8mi yesterday too. Sometimes it’s scary how similar we sound and you’re all the way across the country! Lol ;)
Also thanks for the info on the garmin 10 a few weeks ago. I got it for my fiance’s bday and it arrived yesterday. He went for a run right away and absolutely loves it!!
Have a great day! :)

I am not big into dried fruit but I do like the Craisins.
I am going to try and run but my right IT Band (or quad) is acting up.
Pinterest is my HUGE time suck.

Speaking of – You mentioned that Billy took time off for his IT Band. How did he know that is what it was? Where was his pain (mine is more towards the hip) and how long did he rest?

Thanks!

Dried mango and pineapple are my favorite dried fruits for sure. And blog reading is my favorite time-suck. It’s like people watching with WAY more details.

Reply

Mango or baby coconut. I agree those mangoes do not last long around me either.
Love sushi! Any kind with salmon and avocado is my fav!
It depends, but any social media, Pinterest and blogs.
I am going for a nice walk on the treadmill tonight and doing some ab exercises too.

Reply

Morning!

I love sushi but I’ve sworn it off while pregnant. I did try to have some veggie rolls but just not the same so going to wait to indulge full on after Peanut is here (that’s not the actual name we’ve picked heh heh)

Todays workout- 55 min on stepmill (oh the sweats going to fly) and 10 min crosstrainer. Core work:)

I spend way to much time (but I still see it as time well spent) stalking blogs (yours included since I like learning how you adjusted your training during pregnancy), Facebook and Pinterest….the internet could entertain me for hours and you don’t have to shower for it:)

Reply

I used to spend forever on Facebook too, but now I’m all about Pinterest and blogs. Pretty much anytime I cook anything, the recipe was found on Pinterest. I don’t know what life was like before that website. Sad and boring, perhaps. That’s all I can imagine.

Reply

Social media period is the best and worst thing to happen to me! I love sushi, especially salmon avocado!

Reply

Those Phillipines dried mangoes are my favorite snack in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD!!!!!!!! AHH. I recently begged the customer service lady at my local costco to let me in (i don’t have a membership anymore) just so that I could buy mangoes!!! I think I would have cried if she said no. I bought 3 bags and they are gone. MUST GO BACK.

Reply

i think mangoes are my fave dried fruit too, although i havent had em in a while :(

LOVEEE sushi. i’ve been craving it like crazy lately and I havent been able to convince Kevin to let us splurge on it..boo!

huge time suck=facebook. i’m embarassed to say how much time i spend on it. that and blogs and recently anything wedding..pinterest has been fun to look at for that stuff too ;)

no workout today, i’m in taper mode. its amazing how i was still tired waking up this morning despite not waking up at 5 am to go to the gym. I need to sleep for a gagillion hours this week. and eat lots of wings and donuts. fun stuff ;)

Reply

My favorite dried fruit is cranberries. Love them. I do not like sushi. I think it’s more of a texture thing, but it did not sit well with me. Blogs are a huge time sucker for me. Today’s workout is an easy 4 miles. I’m running the St. George Marathon this Saturday.

Reply

i haven’t signed up for pinterest in fear i’ll get addicted. i heart costco and am so sad i have no car to travel to one in the DC area. my workout was an easy 5 miles … i’m tapering for my marathon this weekend!

Reply

Pinterest is the ultimate time sucking addiction!! Now you are making me want sushi at 9 in the morning.

Reply

I like to get various bags of fruit from Trader Joe’s and mix them all up in a huge Tupperware to keep on hand. So tasty! I’m a vegetarian, but they make some amazing sushi rolls, my favorite is a tempura broccoli roll. It’s super easy, all you do is roll a piece of tempura fried broccoli into a sushi roll…they put some kind of heavenly sauce on it.

Reply

And Instagram is my time waster of choice. So many cute puppies and babies to oogle and ogle at!

Reply

Dried pineapple is my favorite, but I never buy it because as soon as I open it, it’s gone!

I love sushi, and my feelings are that I don’t eat nearly enough of it. :) I had no idea they sold sushi at Costco though, perhaps I’ll have to check that out.

My workout shall be a run since we got a huge rain yesterday which brought the temperature way down. And by way down, I mean to about 80. :) I’m thinking 3 miles will be good for this evening.

Reply

Dried apricots for sure and dried figs comes at a close second. Blogs definitely suck A LOT of my time…if it’s not mine, it’s your’s! ;)
I’m a sushi snob, not much for the grocery store stuff, but I’ve never tried it from Costco. Going to try to fit in a run at some point today. Have a great one!

Reply

I grew up in Korea for a few years, so I LOVE the Korean version and I want to try Japanese sushi–I would probably be totally into it :) pretty much add seaweed and in a happy girl!

Reply

I looove sushi! I just bought some yesterday as my reward for going grocery shopping. :)

Reply

I could [and DO] spend hours just wandering the aisles of Costco, Trader Joe’s, and Whole Foods- their displays always look so pretty [and make me want to buy everything, haha] :P Not to mention all of the 3 above have *samples*- love it!!!

Since things have started to calm down after the wedding and the trade show for work, I have been unwinding and my #1 time waster is definitely Pinterest :)

Reply

Dried bananas get me everytime! And dried cranberries are a must on all my salads.
Sushi should be another food group!! I could live on it. It was my first meal after having my children (along with wine)! My favorite is the Philadelphia roll!
Pinterest and blogs take up most of my internet time. And TMZ….gotta get the info!

Reply

Those dried mmangos are to die for! I buy them for work AND at home. Also I dig costco’s dried cherries as wel, bur for some reason the mango cherry combo package is gross! [ever had that one?] so i just buy them seperately (:

Reply

Favorite dried fruit is chocolate covered dried apricots. Yum:)
I Definately waste too much time reading blogs and pinterest. And today me and my hubby had an early morning 3 mile run. Had to run early to beat the heat!

Reply

I’m going to have to go get me some sushi now. It sounds so good!

I love a big medjool date, preferably stuffed with almond butter :)
I eat sushi about 1-2 X per week, I LOVE it!
As for a time suck I could spend hours on pinterest and stumble upon easily
My workout for the day is already over, thankfully!… I did a stairmill workout followed by a great upper body weights workout

Reply

Blogs for sure. Like the fact that I am at work right now and have actual deadlines but keep finding myself on blogs…bad! Also now at night after all is done at the house Netflix has kinda taken over.

Sushi. Would love some but gotta get this kid outta my belly first!

Reply

I loooooooooooooove Pinterest – I’ve actually started to make the stuff I pin on there, which I find to be a huge accomplishment for me haha.

Reply

I love dried mangoes! Biggest time suck would probably have to be pinterest, cnn and youtube!

Reply

I miss sushi so much! Just three more weeks until I can have it again! :)

Hey, I just came across you blog after seeing it on Tessa’s (Amazing Asset) blogroll. 1- Your baby is adorable, especially in the picture when you’re checking out at Costco, and 2- How can anyone NOT be obsessed with Pinterest? I always go on saying I’ll look around for a little, and then just end up staying on for more than an hour looking at almost every different category. Although it must help when having a family and a baby with new creative meals as well as fun stuff for kids (as soon as Brooke is old enough to play with the crazy things you can make from Pinterest).

Reply

I get sucked into blogging so easily. In fact, I’be been neglecting my kids all morning while I peruse through blogs!

Reply

I buy the same bag of dried mangos when I go to Costco, love them :) Sushi will not pass these lips, no sir-ree. My time suck is anything to do with the computer. I wish I exercised a fraction of the time I looked exercises to do on Pinterest!

Reply

The Costco dried mangos are delicious!

Hi Janae, just wanted to tell you how much I love your blog – you always make me smile even when I’m having a truly terrible day. Also I have a sweet tooth to rival yours, although it gets jealous of all the exciting sugar stuffs you have in America (I’m in the UK). You are awesome :-)

Reply

Lady, your baby just keeps on getting cuter. I can barely even stand it. You should give her a nickname that involves bug ’cause of those crazy big eyes- like brookebug or ladybug or something. I haven’t worked it out yet:) My husband thinks it is weird when I show him pictures of blogger’s babies and demand he admire them, but I am hoping to convince him we need one of our own sooner rather than later:) It isn’t working so far!
Blogs are my biggest time waster – and yours is my favorite!
Dried cherries are my favorite dried fruit but unfortunately they are pricey so I eat a lot of others too.

Reply

Been reading your blog for a while and have been meaning to try cottage cheese and grapes… (im not a huge fan of cottage cheese). It has changed my life. Thank you.

Reply

I am so happy you liked it!!!! I kind of forgot about it so thank you for reminding me! I will have to eat it ASAP! Have a great day!

Reply

MMM Those mangoes from costco are AMAZING!! Have you ever tried the dried coconut flakes? They are also insanely delicious :D

Reply

I tend to go to Pinterest a few days per week, but not as often as I used to (I feel like I’ve pinned most of the pin worthy stuff already. Hah)

YAY for fun runs on the t-mill. Good point about staying in fitness clothes :) I should do that with my 2-a-days that I have going on…. !

Reply

I love Pinterest – its so addicting! Lately, I have been pinning tons of Halloween and Christmas stuff. I love the holiday!
Today’s workout – 2 mile run and Butts and Guts class!

Now I want sushi so bad! Was the costco sushi good??? It looks pretty good!
And I am totally obsessed with Pinterest too. You are not alone! LOVE IT!

Reply

Blog-reading can be a huge time suck :P but at least I learn a lot about other bloggers so it’s okay, hehe.
Favorite dried fruit would have to be dried mangoes! But I like to have it with nuts (peanuts or almonds).

Reply

That sushi platter looks incredible. I LOVE sushi, we had some yesterday and I want more now.

Pinterest, facebook, twitter, blogs – total time sucks for me. But I love it!

Dried fruit – TJ’s just mangoes Time suck – PINTEREST and blogs!

Sushi – best thing ever (good sushi, that is)

I love that picture of Brooke in the checkout line at Costco! So precious!

Love dried cranberries, Pinterest and blogs. This morning my 14 year old and I woke at 5:30 and went running at a nice park here in Gilbert, just across the street from the new temple. Loved it, the trail is awesome and I met the sweetest most inspiring old man…I’ll be blogging about him later this week and of course he let me take his picture…he only wished he’d shaven. :) So cute! I’m hooked, it’s my new place to run! P.S. Hate sushi (would never try raw stuff) but every person in my family loves it including Sophia. xo, Jessica

Have you decided what Brooke’s going to be for my birthday/Halloween?

Oh my goodness – I just spent like an hour on Pinterest this morning. . . I am seriously loving everything you can do with baby foot prints and holiday decorations. . . make sure you check out my Pinterst page for some super cute stuff I pinned this morning for cute things to do with Brooke’s feet. Love!

Reply

I have to ask–how much of that sushi did you and Billy finish off?? I am pretty sure my boyfriend and I could have eaten it all because my stomach has no ‘off’ button when it comes to sushi or candy corn..two of my favorite things ever!

I will be in Chicago this weekend for the marathon and plan on making my own candy corn crack mix and eating nothing but that an pizza all weekend…heaven!

Reply

I didn’t know Costco sold sushi like that! I might have to convince Eric that we do need that much sushi tonight :)

I don’t do pintrest unless a blogger links a picture. othe rthan that, i am lost. my time suck is looking at other blogs and artwork.

Reply

I don’t eat dried fruit that often, but when I do my favorite would have to be bananas!

I am not a sushi fan! I have tired it and just don’t care for it.

The computer is a huge time suck for me! I am always on this thing…Facebook, Pinterest (I love that site as well!), myfitnesspal, blogging/blogs!

My workout today was subbing for a 3rd grade class! 26 kids in one room is definitely a workout! :) I am beat!

I couldn’t wait to get home and read your blog tonight! Brooke is so adorable! I love that clean baby smell as well (from your other blog) and fresh cut grass! I don’t know why, but I do! :)

Have a wonderful week!

Reply

Time suck – blogs and twitter for sure.

No to sushi, I don’t eat fish…raw fish is even more unappealing.

Dried Cranberries are my fave I put them in apple crisp, my yogurt, trail mix, cereal, pancakes, or eat them alone….and everywhere else.

Reply

Dried mangoes are the BEST thing ever. I get the “no sugar added” ones from Trader Joes and they are perfection. Also I love sushi, and I am not ashamed to admit that I go to really crappy conveyor belt sushi restaurants because they are delicious.

And I am right there with you with blogs and Pinterest sucking up all of my time. Gahh.

I ran hills today and it kicked my butt majorly.

Reply

I seriously can’t even believe she is real sometimes! So cute. I was at Wholefoods today walking past the bulk bins and thought how handy it would be if they had candy corn + peanuts in the bulk bins. You should probably write them a letter.

Reply

I love her expressions in all of your pictures!! I love sushi — favorite ever. My fiance doesn’t feel the same way, boo.
