A tour of our house

First of all, Brooke made a new BFF today.  Her name is Brooklyn, she is just 18 days older, she has spiky hair and Brooke and Brooklyn have a very similar sense of humor.   Turns out Brooke is pretty darn social at the ripe old age of 25 days.

One of the many bonuses of becoming a mom is that now I have a diaper bag which makes it really easy to fit in snacks to take with me everywhere I go.  I have some pretty awesome canker sours after eating sour patch kids throughout church today.   People also don’t look at me like I am a weirdo when I am snacking all day because they understand I am feeding two people.

I really like getting to know more about bloggers besides just what they eat and how they exercise because stalking people and knowing every detail of their life is one of my favorite things.   I thought I would show you around our new pad.  We haven’t had a chance to hang pictures or anything but this is just a general idea of how it looks.  Mom, don’t think that I moved and completely changed from the girl you used to know because my house is actually clean, give me a few weeks and I am sure I will be back to my ‘clothes everywhere, dishes 10 feet tall’ self.

Most importantly we have the kitchen.  If you remember our last house (built in 1908) it had yellow floors, no dishwasher or counter space and looked like a bomb exploded in it so this has been the best change ever.  I adore my fridge the most and kiss it goodnight daily.

I haven’t forgotten about my obsession with cereal but just added a new one and that would be bread.   3 loaves of bread and a package of wraps are now a requirement for my kitchen counter at all times.  When deciding where to go for law school back in April Northern California’s sourdough bread was the deciding factor in our decision.

DSC 3683

We just got our kitchen table last night.  Billy found it on Craig’s List for $45!!!!  The real question is whether or not we will ever eat there because we are coffee table eaters.

DSC 3682

Our living room where Brooke and I hang out the most.  Billy and I just started watching 30 Rock for the 15th time and that show will never get old to me.  Tracy Jordan is hilarious.

DSC 3688

This is where the three of us sleep.  Even though Brooke is so close to our bed Billy still has to wake me up most of the time when she starts crying because I am such a deep sleeper.  I once slept through an earthquake.

DSC 3691

The first thing we set up when we moved in was our shoe racks and our current rotation of running shoes.  They do deserve the top rack because let’s be honest, they are worn way more than any other shoe.

DSC 3695

The bathroom (this is when my mom will be extra shocked that I don’t have brushes, curling irons, blow dryers and clothes everywhere).

DSC 3698

That is our apartment and the last thing I have been nagging billy on our hourly basis is to set up the treadmill because heaven forbid I pick up an owners manual and learn how to do it myself.

Lunch started off with a sourdough/egg sandwich and finished off with cereal.  1 hour later and I am thinking about what to snack on because Sunday’s are meant to lay around and eat lots of food.

aww I love the new place! The kitchen looks awesome! I bet you’ll end up using the kitchen table a lot more once Brooke starts eating meals with you.

I live in a single family house with 4 bedrooms.

My latest food obsession is cereal- I think you got me hooked again haha. I’ve been having mini wheats mixed w/ cracklin oat bran at least twice a day!

I usually run in asics- and only have 2 pairs right now- I love your stocked closet!

Reply

Thanks Morgan. You are so right and I bet we will use the kitchen table more when she is older. I am so happy you are loving cereal lately and I am going to have to try your combination. Hope you are having a great Sunday!

You are so dang cute and I just love your blog!! Brooke is precious and you are an amzing mom!

Wow! Thanks so much Katie. Hope you are having a great weekend!

I am obsessed with chicken parmesan. Which is strange because I am not that crazy about chicken.
Also, I am not super neat so I am kinda terrified for the day I do move out of my parent’s home. They are the only ones who will let me live the way I do.

Reply

Chicken Parmesan sounds amazing right now. Do you make your own? Hahaha I was the exact same way when I lived with my parents too, don’t worry!

Reply

My mom uses this recipe: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/chicken-parmesan/detail.aspx

It’s so good!

Reply

We just got new appliances yesterday.. and our new fridge looks very similar to yours! :)

Love your new table.. we used to be coffee table eaters until we got a dog.. now most meals are eaten at our table.. but if I am eating something I can balance on my lap (like anything in a bowl..) I will still eat on the coach!

Reply

New appliances seriously are the best! HAHAH yeah, I would move to the table too if a dog was trying to eat all of my food:)

Latest food obsession is beetroot chips. Ohmygoodness! They’re available at our local bulk health food store, and I stop in WAY too often for my own good!
I’m not a huge fan of decorating, but I think that’s because my Mom was always dragging me on home deco shopping trips when I was younger and I absolutely despised it!
I bought a condo in May, but it won’t be ready until Nov. 2013, so I’m using the mean time to slowly accumulate “homey” touches so I don’t need to do it all at once! Thankfully (maybe?) it will be a small place, so not much deco will be needed!
I AM SO JEALOUS OF YOUR SHOE COLLECTION!! Gah! Need to start building mine! :)

Reply

I am going to have to try these beetroot chips… they sound delicious. You own your condo… that is REALLY awesome!

Reply

They’d probably be super easy to make at home — super thinly sliced beets with a shake of oil and the tiniest touch of salt and baked like crrrrraazy! Yum!! :)

Reply

I LOVE your new place! It pays to start off somewhere that is not so nice and then move your way up. With each of our upgrades, I have been very appreciative of small things…like dishwashers or attached garages…and YARD! lol. We live in a house now, but we started out in a very old one bedroom apartment. I like to decorate..,..somewhat. Decorating can be expensive. I like when my mom gives me home decor (like anything else she gives me). It takes her DAYS to take down and put up decorations for each holiday and all of the decorations take up an entire storage room at her house. It is insane.

I am not sure if I am more jealous of the cleanliness of your apartment or all those running shoes. It is like runners porn! I am my currently switching between my Nike Lunar Eclipse and Mizuno Wave Inspires that I won. Holla! Free shoes!

I have been loving pears and peaches right now. And laughing cow cheese wedges. How had I never tried those before??!

Ross and I watched a 30 Rock the other night just because I have been going through withdrawls waiting for the new season to start.

Reply

MEGAN!!! Thanks girl! A yard…I can’t wait for that someday:) BAHAHA Runners porn… that just made my day! When does the new season of 30 rock start?

Reply

A yard was a MUST! We were going to build, but all the lits nowadays are super small and we wanted a big(er) yard. Unless we were a billionaire and could buy a big lot. So a not so new house but with a yard and an awesome neighborhood I instead :)

30 Rock starts October 4th(Every date I see now gets automatically categorized as pre and post marathon. Is that weird?) I m stoked for a lot of returning shows. There is nothing on TV right now (minus SYTYCD)

Frick. I leave some lengthy comments. What can I say? I am chatty and I miss your face :)

Reply

Ll. you have a nice apartment. To be honest I have been studying the pictures trying to figure out just which apartment complex that one is :) I swear I am not a creeper.

Awesome find on the coffee table. I seriously need to get a dining table. We didn’t have one in our apartment and we still don’t have one at our house. And we have been slowl decoratin and puttin pictures up around here.

You have a huge shoe collection. Love all those colors of your runnin shoes.

Reply

Ha you aren’t a creeper:) I will keep my eyes open for an awesome dining room table on Craig’s List for you!

Reply

I love your place! And seriously, $45 for that table? What a steal! I love Craigslist.

We live in a house that we built 5 years ago. It has 4 bedrooms. Well, one is called a “media room” but it could be a small bedroom if we ever needed it to be. A REALLY small bedroom. I do enjoy decorating it, but the problem there is my lack of decorating skills. haha I have no vision when it comes to that stuff. I know what I like when I see it, but as far as looking at a wall or a room and saying, “Hmmmm… you know what this needs? It needs a ________” … nope, I’m not your girl. My husband is way better at that stuff than I am. (I promise he’s straight.) He used to get aggravated at me when we were building the house because when it was nothing but concrete floors and studs, he already knew where he wanted the TV and couch to go, and I couldn’t even tell if I was standing in the kitchen or a bathroom.

Reply

I want a media room. That is awesome that you built the house! I feel like I don’t have that ‘vision’ either when it comes to decorating. Billy is better at it than I am too ha!

Reply

Cute place!!

My husband and I are nearing the end of our house being built. He is building it himself and it’s one floor living with two lofts. So excited to have our own kitchen that we designed!! And we have an acre of land so the possibility for outdoor patio space is huge!

I am SO excited to decorate once we’re in the house!! I dream about it. :-)

Reply

I am so excited for you that your house is almost done being built! Your husband is talented. You will have to share pics especially of the kitchen too!

Reply

Your new house looks super cute! I am jealous.

I live in a one bedroom with my boyfriend (and his 4 year old son every other weekend). Our kitchen literally has zero counter space. I have to do everything on a cutting board on the stove.

I love pizza. And decorating/redecorating and organizing.

I run in Nike Free and Saucony Kinvaras.

Reply

Thanks Nina! It really is so hard to cook (or want to cook) with not a lot of counter space. Hope you get some delicious pizza soon!

Reply

Adorable–Brooke AND the new place!

Thanks so much Kim!

I have 4 bedrooms and 3 baths…..I bought my house 9 years ago when I was fresh out of nursing school and a single mom to 4 kids. I still love it but it doesn’t seem as roomy as it once was (we are minus 2 kids who are on their own and plus a husband). I’m not much of a decorator. I painted about 6 years ago and I’m still ok with it. I have things I would rather do. My sister’s house is a show place!
I don’t really have any food I’m obsessed with now, but I know when I nursed my kids I ate an insane amount of frozen chocolate chips!
Your house looks adorable. I miss the uncomplication of not having so much stuff!

Reply

We have lived in our LA house for 4 years and its 3 bedrooms used to make it feel so spacious but now that we have a toddler I feel like it’s so small. We’re actually considering a move to Nashville to have a big country house. And I love decorating, used to be my job!
My latest food obsession is apples and TJs cocoa almond butter. Heaven.
Running shoes- Newtons forever!

Reply

I feel the same way about Newton’s !

Reply

Great deal on your table! And 30 Rock is my go-to treadmill show. The episodes are short and sporadic like my running brain thoughts, so it’s a perfect match.

And the apartment is great! It takes me forever to decorate walls, and I NEVER change them. Once it’s up, it’s 4-ever. But we move a lot, so it changes every couple of years with that. Thank goodness for moving.

Reply

We live in a single family home with 3 bedrooms upstairs and one in basement.
Latest food obsession is nachos!
I love decorating but love to garden more…Fave runners are nikes but they haven’t been used much lately…back at it starting tomorrow!

You are adorable and I feel like I know u!,, your baby is the cutest thing ever! Keep her close, they grow up fast. My boys are 8 and 9….

Reply

I live in a house, it’s not mine so I don’t get to decorate it. But I think it would be fun to decorate, or spend money ;) however you want to put it.

My latest food obsession is watermelon. I eat it with every meal and inbetween meals, it is kind of ridiculous, but it is really amazing lol

I’m running in New balance right now. I usually run in Mizuno, but the lady at fleet feet felt I needed new balance instead, so I decided to try them out. Defiantly not a fan, I’ll go back to my dear Mizunos when I buy another pair. I wish I had a rotation lol Happy Sunday :)

Reply

I have a shoe rotation, but seriously … I need a rotation like yours!

Reply

We rent a 3 bedroom house and honestly I have no clue how we used to fit all the stuff we own into our past 1 bedroom apartments. We never really decorate, which always bums me out…but the day will come when we own it can wait.

I’m still running in my Brooks Adrenaline GTS 12 and love them. I used to rotate with my Nike LunarGlide 3’s, but those hurt my ankles so no rotation.

Reply

Woah – pretty running shoe collection! Wow!

Reply

Your apartment is super cute. I especially like the kitchen. We live in a 2 bedroom apartment that I really like. The second bedroom is full of random stuff we don’t need. I love to decorate. We just rearranged last weekend and it feels like a whole new apartment. What I especially like about this place is there will be plenty of room for us to grow when we have kids before we buy a house. A house is in our semi near future but I’m pretty sure kids will come before that. Hopefully at least :)

I am jealous of all your running shoes. I have one pair at a time that I run into the ground before moving on to a new pair. That could explain the dull pain I’m feeling in my shins right now…

Reply

Cute apartment!
We are in a beautiful house with a teeny- tiny back yard. We have 4 bedrooms but my favorite place is our media room. I suck at decorating and go to model homes all the time in hopes of being inspired.
I am a devoted Newton’s fan but do my cross-training in K-Swiss or Innov8.

Great tour, what a cute place! I’m surprised your tour didn’t include the latest additions to your candy shelf, hahah

I love your new place!!! We live in a 2br home. It will be 3 whenever the Mr. finished the upstairs. We were living in a 1br with our son sleeping in the living room so 2br feels great!

We really do have the best sourdough bread. Good call on 3 loaves, too!

annnd WHOA, girl, your running shoe collection is out of control! AMAZING! I’m pretty jealous. I only have two pairs! But I have my eye on a pink pair of Nike Free’s, so hopefully they will be underneath my Christmas tree ;)

I live in the house I grew up in! We rent from my parents, who moved to a new house a few years ago. It’s pretty great. Small, 3 bedroom, 1 bath, but just perfect for us newlyweds! (Yes, I am still allowed to call us newlyweds, even though we got married 1 year 4 months ago.)

Reply

Cute apartment! I love seeing where people live too.

Okay so this is so random but from one sugar lover to another I knew you would understand. Have you tried Breyers New Oreo Birthday Blast? It’s a limited edition flavor and it is DELICIOUS. Cake flavored ice cream with chunks of oreos and sprinkles mixed in. So good! I’ve almost finished the entire carton myself–yikes!

Reply

I haven’t tried it yet but it is seriously calling my name. I will be going to the store ASAP to get some. Thanks so much for the recommendation:) Have a great Sunday!

Reply

So jealous of your shoe collection! I have 3 pairs of running shoes (2 at my apartment & 1 pair at my parents). We have a 1 br in Brooklyn! Your apartment looks great :)

Reply

Love the kitchen!

I am moving soon and finding a rental is by far my number one stressor, small towns have limited options, gahhh.

Saucony Kinvaras all the way!

Reply

My roommates and I JUST bought that same table from IKEA and put it together last night. It’s the perfect little size!

Reply

Such a cute place! We’ve been in our Bay Area apartment for over two years now and I think yours is even further along!

Reply

Aww I love the apartment, girl!! You did a great job decorating!!

Ur house is so cute!!!

Reply

Nice digs! I live in a house with 5 bedrooms.

I hate decorating. I am not good at putting things together, and I agonize wayyyy too much over every decision.

My latest obsession? Caprese Dip from Costco, with pita chips.

Reply

My husband and I are currently in the process of moving from our apartment to a condo! While it’s quite a bit bigger, it is still just 1bed/1 bath. But it’s fun to think of how you’ll design your next place! Also-I have similar bright colored bowls and I may just steal your idea of putting them on top of the fridge-cute!

Reply

I live in an apartment {and am thinking of doing a “home tour” soon!} and I love decorating!! Before I can do anything social, I have to get my house/room all organized…My latest food kick is… mint chocolate chip ice cream and Koshi cereal {not together although it would probably be delicious}. OH, and I’m LOVING green apples on my grilled cheeses and sandwiches. seriously, so yummy.

I don’t have any shoes in rotation {I’m just getting into running} but I’m running a half marathon late October so I need to start seriously looking at some.

Love your new apartment! I really like decorating…it’s just so darn expensive.

My husband and I bought our {hopefully} forever home last year…it’s 4 bedrooms. I like the idea of decorating, but I stink at it.

I don’t have any food obsessions right now, but I bought FMW yesterday and thought of you.

No running for me right now. Gotta get this baby out first…but I’m looking at another 12 weeks {at least} without running *tears*

Reply

I love decorating!! We moved into our apartment in April and I had so much fun choosing the perfect decorations for it!!

My latest food obsession is greek yogurt… I just discovered my love for it and can’t believe I went so long without it!

I don’t have a shoe rotation, but should really start one- I basically run in the same pair until they are worn out then go out and buy more

Reply

We currently rent a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. I love to decorate and rearrange the house, but my hubby doesn’t enjoy it as much as I do because it usually means that he ends up moving the heavy stuff. And, of course, I do it on a weekend when we would rather relax. :)

My latest food obsession would have to be plain non-fat yogurt, with fruit (strawberries, blueberries, peaches, raspberries, or bananas are my favorites), and topped with granola.

I currently have 2 pairs of Mizuno Enigma 2’s in rotation. I only wear Mizunos! They are my favorite! I have also worn the Wave Rider 14’s, but switched to the Enigma’s when the 15’s came out because I didn’t like them as well.

Thanks for sharing your blog with us! I read it faithfully everyday! You are so funny! And Brooke is just adorable! Keep blogging! :)

I reckon you cleaned and tidied your house for this photoshoot….because if my Mum was coming to see it, that’s exactly what I’d do!!!

My current food obsession…it’s still watermelon. The season is coming to an end and we’re dreading it.

Deeply jealous of your running shoe collection. I have one pair.

The apartment is sooo cute! I love it! And your running shoe collection is AWESOME!

I absolutely love decorating our home! My husband thinks it is funny! We actually just bought the exact same kitchen table and chairs for our house off of craigslist as well! It’s a great set!

My current food obsession is cereal, I cannot get enough of it! It doesn’t even matter what kind!

Reply

I love your pad. We just moved into our first house! We are renting it but it is great.just out of curiosity how do you rotate through shoes? Is it just after a certain number of miles or is it what ever you are feeling that day?

Reply

I am wearing mizuno elxir right now. Put a pair in sneaker heaven yesterday after I participated in a Tough Mudder. It was awesome!

I recently moved from a house in Canada to an apartment in Bangkok. I miss having a yard, but I have to say that I’m enjoying having less space to clean. I’m not the most ambitious housekeeper at the best of times, so it is nice to be able to drag a broom around my entire living space in under 10 minutes.

Reply

oh my goodness, sourdough bread used to be my all time favorite!!! And I live in a studio, but really it’s a pretty darn good one. The kitchen is practically a second room and is u-shaped, and I have a big walk in closet (well… it has to be since that’s how you get to the bathroom…).

Reply

Thanks for sharing! I love creeping on interiors of homes and such. What a nice pad! When Billy’s a big shot lawyer you have to keep us in the know of all the fabulous homes you’ll live in ;)

Your apartment is adorable! Love all the Ikea furniture and what a deal on your dining set! Cute!

Your place looks great! Congrats on the kitchen. :) We live in a house, and it actually came fully furnished and decorated because it was the model home. Love your apartment! We have a 3 bedroom house. Four if you count the guest bedroom downstairs, but it’s full of toys the kids have outgrown until we have a garage sale next weekend. We’ve lived here for almost five years and have done some decorating. I’m going to have to do a little decorating soon, my husband is making an entertainment center for us (he’s in the garage working on it right now). I would like to decorate more, but I’m more into baking/cooking than decorating. My latest food obsession is broccoli cheddar soup. I’ve made it twice in the last two weeks. I’m running in Asics 2160’s. I don’t have a shoe rotation, but I’m starting to look at shoes for my next pair to buy. I’m super jealous of your shoes!

Reply

Aw I’m jealous of your kitchen table! I’ve been on the hunt for one for months (I need a table that seats 6).
I currently own a pair of Nike lunarglides and a pair of brooks pure flow (still in box until I deliver my baby in 2 months lol)

Current food obsession is a grilled cheese with a laughing cow wedge spread in the middle (in addition to a kraft cheese slice)and dipped in ketchup. I eat one every night as a snack lol.

Reply

Your apartment is SO cute and clean, too! haha That table rocks! I need Billy to give my husband tips in awesome Craig’s List deals! Canker sores are totally worth too much sour candy. One time my tongue went numb and kind of started hurting because I mindlessly ate half of a pineapple while watching high quality tv–aka The Hills! haha

Your new place is adorable and totally perfect for you three right now :)

We live in a 4 bedroom house (4 kids, 2 adults). It’s way messy :P

I’m currently trading off Mizuno Wave Rider 15 and Newton Gravity when I run. And my latest food obsession is Kaia Sprouted Pumpkin Seeds (vinegar and sea salt)…unless you could kombucha.

Reply

I LOVE IT! So perfect!!

Right now I’m wearing Mizuno Nirvanas and I am hooked on that shoe and refuse to try another.

Food obsessions…hmm…cereal I suppose. Lucky Charms.

Reply

Aww it was so great to get a glimpse into your world, Janae! I’ve gotta say that your place is probably better decorated than mine, and I’ve been living in mine for almost a year now lol. I’ll get around to it… eventually. I actually love home decor, but I’m so indecisive when it comes to how I want things to look, and I think that’s why it’s taking me so long to get stuff done…

Reply

Your house is looking awesome! There is plenty of counter space in that bathroom for me to put my stuff when I come visit :) Isn’t it great to get out of turn of the century Utah, poor, newlywed housing? Anything and everything is a giant upgrade and awesome. I’ve never been so excited about a garbage disposal.

Current obsession = stir fry veggies, namely, zucchini and yellow squash, cooked with mr. yoshidas + red pepper flakes.

Andddd I’ve still not gotten over peanut butter, but that’s not a new obsession.

Our house has 5 bedrooms- I hate admitting it to people because I know it sounds like we’re super spoiled since it’s just my husband and me. On the other hand, we did save for 5 years and live in a microscopic one-bedroom apartment. I have been a total snail lately in the running department- the 95+ degree temps in SoCal are killing me.

Reply

Your place is cute! I love nice new appliances.

We are in a high rise building and we rent an apartment. It has two bedrooms and we use the smaller one as our home office since my husband is in grad school.

I’m from Northern Cal and I totally recognize that sourdough bread bakery! I’m coming home on Thursday and I will be indulging in some sourdough toast…you gave me a craving.

Wow – check out your shoe collection. Nice!!

Reply

Oh man, don’t try to set up your treadmill alone. I have the same one and tried to do it myself. Bad idea.

We have a house that technically has three bedrooms, but I use one as an office. It’s a tiny house, but the perfect size for us.

So.many.beautiful.shoes!!! That’s some serious eye candy :)

Love the shot of all your running shoes! So many colors. My go-to shoe is Mizuno Wave Rider and I don’t stray. I think I’m one of the the few people who don’t rotate their shoes.

Although we own a house in Ohio we just moved to Arizona and are renting a 4 bedroom house here too. Although we don’t necessarily need all the bedrooms, with our menagerie of animals it’s hard to live in an apartment.

As for decorating, I can never figure out what style I want to go with because I love so many. With that being said, I like to keep things minimalist, so we keep things pretty plain =)

Reply

I love your new place! It’s so cute and well organized. :) I like the color scheme in you bedroom, a lot. Also the sneakers def need a special place. I have a shelf in my closet for mine – but your collection is awesome!

We just bought a condo – 2 levels, 5 rooms, technically. Here is a little tour:

I am so grateful for the house tour because, like you, I like to know everything about my favorite bloggers. I love the place!! I think I actually need to buy that exact bookshelf. We have a dresser from IKEA the same color. Right now all of my books are in stacks on the floor.

By the way, the floating baby picture made me LOL too!

At the moment, we’re subleasing an apartment, and most of our stuff is in storage. We’re moving overseas in 10 days, so things are a bit chaotic here at the moment. I can’t wait to have our own (rented) place, where everything is ours, and we are no longer victim of someone else’s style/photos/tastes.

I’m not a big interior decorator, but we just ordered 12 canvas prints of photos we took from a round-the-world trip earlier this year. They will form the decorative foundation for our new place. I can’t wait.

When we were living on opposite coasts, I used to tease my husband that he had waaaay more shoes than I did. When we finally got all our shoes in one place and counted (I insisted; I’m a huge dork!), we were exactly tied. But approximately half of my shoe wardrobe consists on sneakers; mostly trail running sneakers. I’m a stalwart fan of Adidas Sequence for my road running – I won’t wear anything else. But I have just about every Salomon shoe ever made for trail running, depending on the distance, weather, how technical the trail is…. Yes, I have a problem. No, I don’t want to be cured! :)

We are total coffee table eaters…and we bought a kitchen table last winter just so we’d have a place to eat if people were over. We don’t use it very often, but it makes me feel grown up!

And you have a very cute house! Love the kitchen!

I live alone, in a one-bedroom apartment and I LOVE it. Like, all those jokes about cooking naked and etc … it’s true. I live for decorating it. Out of LEFT FIELD my latest obsession is cottage cheese – it’s so great paired with mushrooms as a snack/lunch at my desk job! Finally, I’m a dedicated Brooks Ravenna-er. I don’t stray far. I also can’t run much more than 5 miles currently.

We have a house – built in 1949 by my grandparents – and it’s technically 4 bedroom. We are actually looking to downsize to a smaller house, condo, or apartment. I sometimes enjoy decorating, but right now I’m ready to move so decorating here has been put on hold (for the last year haha).

I’m running in Mizuno Wave Riders and I love them!!!!!

My food obsession – sea salt and turbinado sugar dark chocolate almonds from trader joe’s. Go get some. Right now. :)

Most recently I have been running in a pair of Asics, but I am soooooooooooo excited because I just ordered (a couple of days ago) a pair of Brooks Pureflow!! I can’t wait to get going in them!!! :-)

Love your place! Looks cozy and welcoming already.

I live in a big red house that we built about 3.5 years ago…4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, bonus room…on 5 acres. I share it with a hubby, two kiddos, four cats and a dog. I have no decorating skills which is why my walls are mostly empty and I have no window coverings. I used up whatever decorating energy I had picking out things like toilet paper holders and doorknobs and tile.

Lately, I’ve been obsessed with Subway veggie sandwiches. Add some avocado and a bit of ranch and I’m happy.

No shoe rotation. Well, kind of. I run in Saucony Progrid Rides and have a pretty new pair and a pair that’s got a couple hundred miles on them. And my *first* pair that I wear just to schmuck around in. Eventually they’ll be relegated to the Mud Run rotation when they get more worn. :)

We live in a house that we bought in 1999. During the housing market boon! new buyers, great mortgage rate. We bought the house for 153k…and it is now only worth 121k :( but yes..I love decorating my house..if projects could just get finished. Yes…. I have one of those husbands. He’s great in other areas though, so I try not to explode to much :)

We have 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The laundry room is upstairs..you think this would be a blessing..after all..clothes can go right from the bedrooms to the laundry and right back to the rooms..but when your downstairs all day with a 4 year old..this does not work out the way you think it will… lets put it this way, I will never want a 2 story house every again, I pray for the day we can build our very own ranch home. :)

Food obsession? breakfast…bacon and eggs…with coffee…. I can’t seem to get enough of it.

Running? um… no.
