Thank you so much for all of your incredibly kind comments. I already told Brooke all about you and she really likes you guys especially because of the compliments on her hair. I have always loved the name Brooke and Lin is a family name on Billy’s side of the family (his mom’s middle name too:) I think it fits her perfect little face perfectly. I will do a baby story (please tell me you have seen that TLC show) in a few days but until then you will get some quick posts and updates that I will do when I let anyone else hold her (I am really selfish and am having a hard time sharing her). My mom is here, my MIL was here Tuesday night and Wednesday and Billy hasn’t had to miss one class. Brooke came at the perfect time, I needed an instant best buddy.
I told you I was going to get in a run before the hospital (or in the parking lot of the hospital). If you ever wanted to see what it looks like when a woman in labor runs I have an example below. I think I made it a total of 10 steps:)
PS food tastes ridiculously good again and my post baby meals have been delicious.
Mac and cheese and clam chowder in the to go cups.

This morning when I told my daughter Brooke about your daughter Brooke, she was totally excited. We were both googling over how cute she is too. I am jealous of all that yummy food too. I was on clear liquids after my deliveries. Come to think of it, I don’t know that I have ever gotten a diet other than clear liquids in the hospital. Coffee and soup never tasted so good either though, I suppose. Keep sharing the cuteness with us!

BTW….I wish someone had told me this, but the first six or seven weeks are really tough. REALLY tough. But at about week six or seven, something shifts and it gets a little easier and you start to feel a little better. So hang in there. Those first weeks are utterly magical, don’t get me wrong, but they are TOUGH. So six or seven weeks and then it gets a little easier!!!

It almost makes me NOT wanna have today as my rest day off running, but I ran the last 4 days in a row and my hips were KILLING this morning. I really am so excited for you guys. (Plus, I love one syllable girl’s names for some reason – we still aren’t set in a girl’s name for our baby…good thing we have until November!!)
I told my mom that I wanna be running up until giving birth like you, and she said that babies come pretty quickly in our family so not to overdo it ;) haha so hopefully running while in labour wouldn’t cause the baby to come flying out haha.

Are the pancakes from the hospital? Dude that actually looks good. The one time I spent a night in the hospital they served me this off-color (radioactive bright) “salmon” and something else that was equally terrible (not to sound ungrateful but I hadn’t eaten in like 15 hours and it was not good).
