First trip to the beach

DSC 3364

After she woke up and ate we put on Baby Einstein for a few minutes and she loved it.

DSC 3372

We made it out of the house in record timing for our first trip with her to the beach.   Too bad the drive there wasn’t very pretty;)

Photo 5 1

We could have put her in a stroller but I am selfish and wanted to carry her all day.

DSC 3378

PS my mother in law leaves today and I will be wearing all black because I will miss her so much and miss her cooking/cleaning/taking care of me.

Brooke really wanted a picture of herself in front of the donuts and so we let her.

DSC 3389

We drew the line when she wanted a picture with a deep fried twinkie though.

DSC 3396

As we were walking towards Santa Cruz Boardwalk we walked by a taco shop that smelled just as you would imagine heaven to smell and so we walked back to it for lunch.  You really can’t get Mexican food without starting with chips and salsa.

DSC 3408

I had a hard time being decisive so I got all three things that sounded good to me.  Beef taco, chicken burrito and taquitos with the best guacamole sauce.

DSC 3409

I really wanted to go on the rides but thought that would have made Brooke jealous, look at me already being selfless.

DSC 3398

So they say that the below ice cream cookie sandwich dipped in chocolate and nuts was first started in Santa Cruz.  It was good but I am pretty sure that if it was 3 times the size they gave me I would have been much happier.

DSC 3428

Our first family outing was a big success and Brooke and I both fell asleep, drooled and snored a little on the way home.

How fun! And I love your orange pants! That ice cream sandwich looks like it’s about to fall any second! I hope you ate it before it dropped!

I probably have ice cream or frozen yogurt on average once a week. But sometimes it’s more or less. This week, I bought a new flavor of ice cream …. carrot cake flavor! And it is amazing. So I will be eating it every single night!

Reply

HEY YOU! Thanks so much and I bet you could replicate that cookie sandwich because of your amazing baking/cooking skills. CARROT CAKE?!?! I must try that asap!

Reply

Ahh so, so cute! I loveee your pants. I’ve been looking for a pair of bright colored pants, but they all fit weird. I’ve lived by the beach my whole life (FL) so I’m dying for a change of scenery. The good thing about California though, is you have both!

Reply

Thanks Brittany! Mine are from gap.. have you tried theres on yet? You should come to Cali:)

Reply

Looks like it was a fun trip! Your pants are great and you look amazing!

The last beach I went to was one in Maine. I, not much of a beach person but I love rocky beaches for exploring and I prefer the mountains overall… Except in Bali. I love that their beaches and their mountains – it’s truly an island paradise!

Hot salsa all th way! If it doesn’t burn my tongue, it ain’t worth it! As for ice cream/froyo, probably at least once a week. I bought a new to me Ben and Jerry’s flavor on Friday – RED VELVET CAKE ice cream!!! Best flavor ever – just ignore the nutritional info.

Reply

Thanks so much Charlene (ps I absolutely love your name). I want to go to a rocky beach, that sounds beautiful. You have been to Bali? That is so awesome. I need to get that red velvet cake ice cream ASAP!

Reply

I usually don’t eat much ice cream, except was on a streak the past 7 days. It was broken last night because I lost in a 7-1 vote of beers vs ice cream.

Reply

ERICA!!! 7 day ice cream streak, wish I could have participated in that with you. I would have gotten ice cream with you last night:)

Reply

Never been to Santa Cruz, but the last beach I went to was in South Carolina. :)

The hotter, the better! Even add some jalapenos to the hot salsa and I’m one happy girl.

I would so much prefer to live by the beach. But I do love mountains, too (but would rather visit than live by them).

I’d say I probably eat ice cream at least once a week. :)

Reply

I want to go to a beach in S. Carolina! You sound like Billy when it comes to salsa:)

Reply

Those orange jeans are looking good! :) I LOVE chips and salsa, but am definitely a pansy and have to have it mild! I could eat some sort of ice cream dessert every day, but try to limit myself to about once a week. It’s tough, though.

Reply

Thanks so much Courtney. I think we should all have it every day:) Hope you are having an amazing Sunday!

Reply

you should totally get one of those baby wrap holders! I regret not getting one for my itties when they were smaller.. but being as you love to hold her so much.. it would be great for you guys! Keep her close and warm, but give your arms a break. I had those sturdy kind with the feet holes.. I’m not talking about that.. I’m talking about the thing that looks like a curtain and you wrap it around you..

Reply

Moby Wrap! So awesome and cozy for little ones. I used those for months, then started using an Ergo and a Beco with my twins. So easy to get stuff done while snuggling them and not have to haul that ginormous car seat everywhere!

Reply

Thank you so so much you guys. I really need to get one soon and these sound like the best things ever. We already are sick of caring the car seat ha!

Reply

I’ve never been to Santa Cruz. The last beach I was at was the Holland State Park, it’s about a 15 minute drive from my house. I’d rather live by the beach than the mountains, but I love mountains too! The beach you went to looks incredible!

I prefer mild salsa…if it’s too hot I can’t taste the chips :)

I don’t eat ice cream too often, maybe 1 time a week. My husband, on the other hand, could eat it every night.

Brooke is adorable–you and Billy are amazing parents!

Reply

Hey Melissa! That is so awesome that you have a beach SO close to you. I think you need o join in with your husband in his ice cream eating ha. Thank you so much for your comment:)

Reply

What a fun outing, and oh does that Mexican food look delicious! You need to get yourself some type of carrier so you can strap Brook onto your body all day long and still get things done. My favorite for newborns was the Moby wrap. Check it out! (and don’t get a Baby Bjorn…bad for baby’s back)

Reply

Hey Jan! Thank you so much for the recommendations, I really need to get something because my arm almost fell off yesterday ha.

Reply

You’ll LOVE IT. I guarantee!!

Reply

Hahaha your second photo is hilarious!!!

Reply

KATH!!! How are you feeling? I am seriously so excited for you to have your little boy, he is going to be adorable!

Reply

EXCITED!!!! And still can’t believe it’s almost time : )

I would chose to live by the ocean in a heartbeat. I am from the LA area and miss the ocean so so much. We have Lake Michigan which has beaches and is gigantic but it’s not the same so it doesn’t count.

I eat ice cream just about every day. I try to keep it to one servings worth. That doesn’t always work.

Reply

I hope you get back to the ocean someday! Every day… you are my kind of girl!

Reply

It looks like you had such a fun outing with Brooke! I’ve never been to Santa Cruz but it looks gorgeous and I would pay a lot of money for one of those ice cream sandwiches right now. I think I’m a medium salsa girl, but I also love pico de gallo.

Reply

You will have to go there sometime. Wish I could send you an ice cream sandwich!

Reply

I love the orange jeans, aren’t hose the ones you bought when you were still preggers? So fun you can wear them now!

We go to Santa Cruz often, my in-laws live there!

And as for ice cream / froyo, I would have it every day if I could, but I only eat it a couple times a week.

Have a good Sunday! :)

Reply

Thanks girl, they are! Your in-laws live there…that is awesome! We will have to meet up there someday!

Reply

that’s why i love norcal–don’t have to choose between mts and beach–we’re camping next week in the mtns and just got back from pismo beach. granted, we don’t have our awesome utah mtns here, but the hills we have will suffice :) love santa cruz–especially in the winter when you can see all the sea lions at the end of the pier–ahhhmazing. for future info: they sell discount tickets at costco for the boardwalk rides so it’s not too pricey. we are definitely a beach community up in here! our ward has an elders quorum party at the beach on sat and my friends in the ward and I took our kids to the beach once a week during the summer–it was so much fun! Definitely check out Capitola soon since you’re so close–they have a surfing santa for christmas and he pretty much rocks. sorry for the long comment..I’m passionate about my beaches.

Reply

You are so right… you really don’t have to choose here, I am loving it. I hope you have a blast camping. That is awesome that Costco sells discount tickets, so good to know. That beach ward party sounds awesome. I will so check out Capitola. THANKS CASSI!

Reply

Ahhh HWY 17. I grew up in the summit area, love those mountains :)

Just FYI…you need to go to Marianne’s Ice Cream on Ocean St. in Santa Cruz. Their german chocolate ice cream is to die for!!! Their other flavors are pretty awesome too. My mom would go there on dates when she was in High School and lived over the hill in San Jose. When we were growing up it was almost a weekly staple :)

Reply

Lisa, how on earth did I mis out on Marianne’s ice cream shop? I will be going on our next trip there and the german chocolate sounds incredible. What fun memories for you!

Reply

I second this!! Some of the best ice cream I have tasted ;)

Reply

I love your pants. I never imagined I would, but I really want to jump on the colored denim bandwagon. So after I lose all my pregnancy weight, I think I’ll get some :)

Reply

Thanks so much Renee and I totally think you should get some!

Reply

This post made me smile so much…we used to wake our baby up because we missed him!!! Now we love it when he sleeps till 8!!!

Do you have a baby bjorn? It’s great for carrying a baby close to your lips for kisses but gives you free hands! I have one that I’m actually looking to give away so if you fancy it, drop me a note. Hope that isn’t too weird!

LOVE those jeans too. I bought some coral ones but they made my legs look like sausages so I sent them back!

Reply

CATHRYN! Okay, your comment made my day. Are you sure? We would absolutely love the baby bjorn. That is really so kind of you. CORAL… I bet they looked amazing on you!

Reply

First beach trip – wahoo! I grew up about an hour and a half north of Santa Cruz, have a cousin who lives there, went there all the time in high school, and now LOVE to visit whenever I’m home! LOVE the Boardwalk and am missing some CA air right now thanks to this post (in a good way). :) Thanks for sharing and fun first adventure!

Reply

Hey Bonnie! That is so cool you grew up around here. You are so right, there is something about the CA air. How about you come back and visit and hang out with me!

Reply

That family outing looks like the most fun thing ever!! Her face watching the laptop is hilarious! I’m glad you had a great day with your little family!

Reply

Thanks so much Chelsa and I hope you are having an amazing day!

Reply

Aww, she’s so sweet! My baby is 5 months now and it has gone by so fast. Love following your journey with the baby, you’re clearly in love with her. I ordered some colored pants (I’m rolling with the bright green) for fall online. It makes an easy outfit since I’m the owner of 3,221 black t-shirts.

Reply

5 months!! Wahoo. I bet time goes by crazy fast, I already feel like she is getting bigger. Where did you get your green pants from?

Reply

Old Navy. Time does go by crazy fast, I know everyone says it, but it’s so true. One day you wake up months have flown by. :)

Reply

What a great first family outing! The only part of California I’ve been to is San Francisco so not quite the beach. I’m definitely more of a mountain person anyway. While I love warm weather, I’m not really a sand/water person. As far as dessert it really depends on my mood. Sometimes I’ll go a whole week without dessert, sometimes I’ll have dessert every night. If it’s every night it’s usually a cookie, or a small amount of froyo, but if it’s only once then I will go big!

Reply

Hey Amanda! I sure hope you live near some beautiful mountains:) A whole week without dessert… wow!

Reply

That picture of Brooke watching Baby Einstein is maybe the most precious thing I’ve ever seen! Darling! Santa Cruz is a fun beach since there are rides there, but Half Moon Bay has a much nicer/cleaner/slightly warmer beach area if you’re looking for another place to go! It’s about the same distance from Santa Clara (I think) but in the other direction (on the way north to SF). You should check it out! They have a few BBQ pits there, too, but no where near the same amount of fried twinkies :P

Reply

Thanks so much Shanna! I am totally going to have to go to Moon Bay, thank you so much for letting me know about it. BBQ pits are my favorite!

Reply

Hi! I grew up in northern cal. and spent my childhood going to the boardwalk in the summer time. Such a happy place :) Don’t be too disappointed about the cookie sandwich situation because the funnel cake is where its at anyways! Also if youre into ice cream, marianne’s ice cream shop is AMMMAAAZZZING. Have fun exploring the area!

Reply

HEY JESSICA! That is so cool that you grew up here, I am absolutely loving it. I knew that I should have tried the funnel cakes and I have to go to Marianne’s next time!

Reply

I love Santa Cruz!!! Highway 9 I think it is is the prettiest drive! I miss the beach but love love love the mountains I couldn’t choose I would choose both!
Mild salsa for me, so sad I know =)
I wish I could eat ice cream all day every day but I think my digestive system would hate me… My dentist also

Reply

Were we on Highway 9? Wait… dentists don’t want us to eat froyo everyday?

Reply

Been to Santa Cruz once, loved it!!!!

Hot Salsa!!! Anything less just doesn’t taste good haha

I would live near the beach if I could, I absolutely love the beach.

Last beach I went to was Dillion Beach, its near Bodega Bay!!!

Froyo at least once or twice a week, during the summer lol but once school starts it becomes maybe once a month, if I’m lucky

Reply

I hope you get to live by the beach someday:) I think that even though school is starting you should keep up your summer froyo habits!

What Under eye cream works best for dark circles?I have hearritedy dark circles, I know theres not much that could be done for hearritedy type dark circles. But I would like to try something that can make it at least lighter. I have tried Garnier Under eye dark circle cream but didn’t work I have also tried potato juice which works as an instant solution. But I am looking for some over the counter remedies. Please suggest something that YOU HAVE TRIED and did work. (I am NOT looking for any concealor or make up product)

I was at the same beach yesterday! My friends and I went hiking at Henry Cowell park in the morning and refueled with some delicious food at a place called Burger. You all should go there they have amazing burgers! Some of them are called “The Snooki” and “The Kim Kardashian”, and instead of table numbers they give out mug shots of celebrities. We ended up on the pier to get some dessert at a place called Marianne’s…a huge candy store with amazing ice cream! Definitely a good place to go and stock your candy cabinet:)

Reply

AHHHHHH How did we not see each other there…boo! Okay, you are making me drool over the Burger, that sounds incredible and I would have to get ‘the snooki’ ha! How did I miss Marianne’s? I am going to have to go back today for that:)

Reply

Growing up in northern California I have been to Santa cruz a lot, especially when I was younger. So glad you guys had a good time, such a great place for Brooke’s first beach trip :) and I am loving those pants, you look great!

Reply

That is so great you grew up here, we seriously loved Santa Cruz. Thanks so much Lilly and I hope you are having the best Sunday:)

Reply

I am in CA visiting my bf and we have plans to go to Santa Cruz today!! He has been but i never have so this is exciting! Also yesterday we hiked a mountain! Called mission point, so here you have the pleasure of living near both beach and mountains it’s perfect!

Reply

Oh Emily! I wish we would have gone the same day. I hope you have an amazing time today and let me know what you thought of it. I want to go hiking now:)

Reply

What great scenery, both on the way there and at the beach!

I’ve never been to Santa Cruz, despite living in Northern California. I’ll have to follow your posts and see if it looks like it’s worth a trip.

Mild salsa, for sure. I’m a wimp!

I’d have to say the mountains. Shade over sun, for me. But I do really like the beaches in Northern CA! (If you ever get a chance, it’s really nice up by the Mendocino/Fort Bragg area.)

Reply

HEY JORDAN!! You better go to Santa Cruz soon, it was so fun. THanks for the recommendation, we will definitely check out Mendocino. Hope you are having an amazing Sunday!

Reply

Hello I’m visiting from Arete Aspirations blog where she moteiennd your blog in a recent post. Love this. My little boy is only 4 months old, but he is already demanding that he be entertained constantly!

Reply

Janae, where in Cali did you all move? It’s super beautiful.

Reply

We moved to Northern Cali. We are in the San Jose area:)

Reply

I love your pants!! I’m glad you are exploring your new home :)

Reply

Thanks so much Hannah!! Hope you are having a great Sunday!

I live in the Monterey Bay area and highly HIIIIIGHLY recommend that next time you guys come out take a drive down to Carmel by the Sea and Big Sur. Worth every second of driving. Some of the best weather is during the Fall, after all the tourists leave.

Reply

NO WAY…okay, we are totally going to Carmel for our next trip now. We will have to meet up this fall!

Reply

I once did the most beautiful run of my life out there, from Monterey down to the lone cedar at the golf course, all along the coast. What a gorgeous area and it just smells so good with all that sage! Add that to the to-run-someday list, for sure!

Reply

I agree, Carmel is the best. We stay at a cute little B&B called the Sandpiper Inn. Carmel in October is GORGEOUS.

Reply

We just went to the Boardwalk 2 weeks ago. It was so fun. We had chili cheese fries while my daughter and her friend went in the rides. My husband wanted to go back on Friday because Eddie Money was playing. Fun place to go.

Reply

AHHHH too bad we weren’t there at the same time. Those fries sound incredible!

Reply

The picture of Brooke looking at the laptop screen is the cutest and funniest thing I have ever seen!!!! And we’ll be in Santa Cruz for a high school band event in October :) We should have lunch…or a twinkie :)

Reply

Thanks so much Donna. UM YES PLEASE… we will have to meet up and I think lunch and a twinkie would be best.

Reply

Awww Santa Cruz! So many good memories there:) next time eat at Saturn Cafe- you won’t be disappointed!

Reply

I would love to live by the beach. It is my favorite place to be. My family went to Destin for Spring Break and I need to live there! I’m ashamed to say but I have froyo at least 2 times a week, usually. Medium salsa and that guac sauce looks very yummy!

Reply

Little Brooke is gorgeous!! You must be having so much fun with her! Makes me miss the days when my little ones were brand new…

I live in Portland (Oregon) so I’m one hour from the mountains and one hour from the beach. As much as I love skiing, if I had to pick, I’d choose the beach. Nothing like going for a run on the beach, building sand castles with kids and having s’mores around a bonfire at night. Ahhh…now I want to go to the beach!

Reply

Look at that face! I have a 7 week old boy, I’m a sucker for babies.

Never been to Santa Cruz.

I live in Santa Barbara (so I have both beach and mtns!)

Hot salsa.

Ice cream? At least once a week these days.

Reply

I have never been to Santa Cruz but I would love to visit. Looks like fun!

Reply

Looks like such a fun day! Mexican food is def top 3 for me. Def hot salsa and def live in the mountains! Love the pants btw. :)

Reply

We used to go to Santa Cruz all the time when we lived out there. I spent the end of my second pregnancy walking that boardwalk in an attempt to start labor. :)

You should try a Moby wrap! Close enough to cuddle but keeps your hands free.

Reply

Yes, I loved the Moby wrap when my babies were…. babies. :)

Reply

I also love the Moby. I have the Moby (well, the Canadian version), the Maya ring sling, the bjorn, and the Ergo. First 3 were hand me downs, last I bought (he’s still too small for the Ergo, only 7 weeks.)

Bjorn is easy to get him into for walks. The Maya is the easiest for me to get him into and out of on my own when I want him fully covered. The Moby is like wrapping yourself up like a mummy, but is definitely the best for my back.

Reply

She’s the cutest baby girl I’ve ever seen, and I love your orange pants! Too cute! :)

Reply

I live in Santa Cruz!!!!!!!! so glad you had fun here!! :D

Reply

You have to get an ERGO baby carrier! They are the best things ever. So comfortable and so easy to carry your kids in it!

Reply

Aw it looks like you and your little adorable family had a great time at the beach! Those fried twinkies look disgusting haha, sorry! however that iced cream sandwich dipped in chocolate and nuts looks heavenly :)

Reply

I would have flipped out with excitement if I ran into you and Brooke…I commented on Billy’s fb photo, I was in Santa Cruz Friday-Sunday! Too bad it was too overcast to actually get in the water, but the Giant Dipper was way more fun than I thought it would be….looks like a rickety old thing. I screamed a lot. If you heard someone screaming a lot, that was me.

Reply

We went to Santa Cruz today! My in-laws live there, so we visit pretty frequently. It was a beautiful weekend!

Reply

Medium Salsa
Beach over mountains
And some kind of frozen dessert almost every day–is that bad?

You family photos are the best! Thanks for sharing! :)

Reply

I am truly enjoying all your posts about Brooke, but this is my favorite yet … so sweet and endearing. That second picture is positively precious :)

Currently at the beach (Avalon, NJ) and would choose to live seaside forever if I could!

Reply

I grew up in Santa Clara and Santa Cruz was where we’d go for all our beach fun! I’m so jealous already of your CA adventures! Utah seems so boring now.

Reply

I love Santa Cruz! Next time I want to see you and Brooke on a surfboard ;-)

Reply

That girl watching Baby Einstein is the cutest thing I’ve seen all week. What an attentive little girl!

Reply

mmmmm i want to eat all of that mexican food up there. SO GOOD. and yes, chips and salsa are a must!

LOVE your pants!

awwww brooke + donuts = so cute! brooke + everything = so cute, though. :)

i like medium or hot salsa. usually mild is just way too “tomato-y” (yes, that is a word) for me.

the beach, all the way. hands down favourite place to be.

Reply

I just got really excited when I saw that you updated your blog. I’m such a nerd. First of all – you were my inspiration today. It was my first 5k ever (on a treadmill, and on my own). I kept thinking that you have amazing athletic ability, and such an inspiration to some of us young mommas out here :) I’m glad you had fun at the beach!! I would also be sad if my mother/MIL left. I LOVE the help I would get. My husband and I both live away from our families too, so it’s such a great time when we can see them. Thank you for blogging!!

Reply

If you ever have a date night within the next five years of so ;)…there’s a boating place off of Santa Cruz that does whale watching and sunset cruises. It’s so beautiful and fun, plus they give you drinks + appetizers. I believe its Chardonney Sailing Charters.

Reply

love your pants! I’m glad Billy didn’t lose you;)
I picked up a new flavor of ice cream this week: PB&J It’s a pb based ice cream with jelly swirls. It’s pretty tasty…wierd, but tasty!

Reply

So exciting and fun, looks like yall live near a very beautiful beach!

Reply

That picture of Brooke watching Baby Einstein is the cutest thing ever! Only weeks old and interactively watching it – what a smartie you have on your hands. :)

Reply

Oh My Goodness!!! My old stomping ground!!!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that you went to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk!!! I haven’t been there in 12 years!! Thanks for bringing me a bit of ‘home’ to see!!! I grew up riding the Big Dipper and all those fun rides!! Oooooohhhh!! I am vicariously living through this post!! ;o) So happy you had the best time!! :O) I need to convince my hubby that we need to move there….NOW!! ;o)

Reply

I grew up in the mountains and now live within 40 minutes from the beach. I really, really miss the mountains. I love the leaves and although the beach is nice, its nice for a while whereas the mountains are always beautiful.

And I love mango or pineapple salsa! Its the best

Reply

We finally have a fro yo place in my town. I was there for dessert today and I loved it!

Reply

You and your little family are absolutely adorable! I so look forward to hearing about your adventures everyday. I cannot wait to start a family so we can do fun things like you!!!!!!

Reply

ok, wait WHAT?!?! you live near Santa Cruz! I NEED to babysit for you! (well now I feel like a stalker, but seriously!) oh, and come by my cafe sat/sun for fresh (organic) cinammon rolls!

Reply

I love this: “Brooke really wanted a picture of herself in front of the donuts and so we let her.” First off, you look awesome! And it’s great that you get along with your MIL so well. Haven’t been to Santa Cruz, but we went to Santa Cruz Island (Channel Islands) last weekend. We live right in the foothills of the San Gabriel mountains but it’s 1 hour to the beach: best of both worlds :)

Looks like an awesome trip to the beach!

Reply

Love the pants!

What a great outing!

I havne’t been to Santa Cruz, and the last beach was in Galveston.

Medium or mild. I have very low spice tollerance.

Hmmm…I”m not a mountain girl, so probably the beach. Unless it’s in an area where hurricanes hit.

Not as often as I would like! I had Froyo last week, but it had been weeks since the last time! this needs to change.

Reply

I’ve eaten at that taco place!! I love it & Santa Cruz!!

Reply

her baby einstein face was beyond adorable – so much awe and wonder. too cute!!

Reply

I live in SoCal near the beach, so that’s where I get to run on the weekends! yay! :)

Medium salsa….and chips with air bubbles! Salted.

I prefer to be by the beach…you can’t beat that salty fresh air, the sun rise/set over the water, and the weird feeling from stepping on seaweed. >POP<

I TRY and only eat "real dessert" on the weekends….however, since starting dating my BF, it's an every-time-we're-together sort of thing. My heart loves the guy, but my once-skinny waistline doesn't!

Have you found a Costco yet where you can get one of their chocolate/peanut covered ice cream bars??

Reply

Love your pants! And your baby!! : )

Reply

YUM! That ice cream looks like the ones they sell at Costco (only much smaller). ;) I’m pretty sure I can handle a Costco ice cream sandwich all by myself. Shh

Just in Santa Cruz Saturday for a wedding up in the mountains at a winery! Been to the Boardwalk a few times about five years back when we lived in Monterey for 2 1/2 year. Last beach – Aptos, this morning, went for a four mile run since we were staying there with friends (just around the bend from Santa Cruz) :) Just had my first Mexican food in Aptos last night since returning from England two weeks ago!! It was AWESOME!! :)

Reply

What a fun day!!

Reply

When you love in the Santa Cruz area you get the best of both mountains and beach, though I am definetly a beach girl. Love Santa Cruz!! The plan is to eventually move out of San Jose and “over the hill” to either Aptos or Capitola.

Glad you had a good time out there on the Boardwalk. I pretty much grew up on the Giant Dipper and in the sands of that beach. <3 lots of great memories (even got our engagment photos done there!)

When you do get to go on the rides, check out the Caveman tour down in the kids area. Trippy and classic SC!

Reply

You’ve really imeessrpd me with that answer!

OMG! The Baby Einstein picture is AWESOME!
