We are becoming gym rats and the greatest snack

Two nights in one week at the gymnastics gym?  My skills have already really improved on the beam that is 6 inches above the ground (the only thing I am allowed to do there).  I am forcing Billy to bring me back here as soon as possible after the baby.  I am craving a big cannonball into the foam pit followed by showing the world my uneven bar routine.  Make it or Break it has taught me so many valuable skills and life lessons.

Synchronized front flips.

After 3 hours at the practice gym we realized we were all starving (hey, laying around on huge mats for 3 hours makes me hungry).  We loaded up our cars and went over to our friend’s house for the best bbq ever.

One of my favorite things in the world is when Curly asks her mom if she can come ride in our car.  It was the best 14 minutes of my life.  We decided to ONLY talk in a cookie monster voice, it was quite entertaining.  I might have to do a vlog of our impersonations because they are right on.

I think people are getting a little sick of me asking to take a picture of them, they are now boycotting looking at the camera.

Appetizers.  Why don’t I have appetizers at every meal?  All of the best foods hanging out on the table while waiting for the main course, the options are endless.  We had a ton of fresh fruit, pickles, potstickers and PRETZEL CRISPS.  Have you had pretzel crisps before?  If you haven’t then you need to call your mom/dad/significant other/roommate to go to the store for you right this second and buy you 4 bags of them.

Our chef for the night was awesome and the food was perfect (he is a 3:01 marathoner and so it was a lot of fun to talk all about running).  He must have read my pregnant mind and knew that sandwiches are all I can think about and this one tops all of the others that I have had in a long long time.

This weekend I am most looking forward to a night away with the hubs for one of my best friends’ wedding! Crossing my fingers all the kids stay healthy – I already had two down with a fever and #3 needs to make it through the weekend for me!
I go for turkey or veggie burgers at a BBQ. And I watched sesame street as a kid, care bears, my little pony – such good times;-)

I’m not a huge fan of BBQ’s but I guess I would say BBQ chicken for protein of choice. Never watched Sesame Street…I watched the Flinstones sometimes but didn’t really watch a lot of tv…I was a total tomboy and played outside with me neighbors all the time until our parents told us we had to come in for dinner, lol. Pretzel chips are yummy with hummus. Havea great day…and you could totally be the next Nastia Lukin on the beam…or that Gabby girl who is freaking awesome by the way…can’t wait to see her in the Olympics!

My life will never be the same without MIOBI. But I do feel like I could probably pull off a sick beam routine just from watching that show so much. It’s totally as easy as they make it look, right?

Hi!

I bookmarked your page a couple of months ago over here in NC and have been checking in daily since then – I love your sense of humor and appreciation for delicious food (I just had some pretzel crisps as part of my lunch, they are one of my favorites!)

I’m just getting into running myself – slowly but surely! I ran my first 5k in April and have been hooked since then. I also tried a yoga class this morning – I’ve only ever done online videos before, but I loved it!

So excited to keep reading and hear all about your running adventures and further pregnancy adventures too :) Thanks for writing!

This weekend I am looking forward to a “more difficult” hike tomorrow. Ten miles round-trip and gaining almost 4000 feet in elevation. Should be fun!

I have never had Pretzel Chips, but I don’t like pretzels either. Unless they are the big, soft and warm kind with cheese sauce!
