New shoes, earthquaking muscles and a box of happiness.

Yesterday’s workout happened after school.  Billy gets home from class late on Tuesdays and so instead of going home and staring at the wall I like to workout after school instead.  I hung out on the elliptical for a little while alternating between one of my all time favorite shows and reading during the commercials.

This show reminds me of when Billy and I first started dating because we would act like old people and make sure that we were at one of our apartments at 9 pm on the dot every night so that we wouldn’t miss a second of King of Queens.

Photo 6

After the elliptical I took a yoga class.  The instructor focused on holding poses for a long time and I am pretty sure my legs or arms were earthquaking (shaking because they were so tired) 44 out of the 60 minutes.

After class we headed up to our favorite destination for the necessary items.  Calcium, meat and lettuce.  We had ran out of string cheese on Monday and I can’t tell you how many times I reached into my lunch bag to grab one only to be disappointed and having to resort to a plan B snack.  My snacks are precious, do not mess with them.

Photo 8

I just got a pair of Altra’s Delilahs and I have been wearing them everywhere I go.  After I get in a bunch of runs on them I will give you a full review but thus far judging by looks and comfort alone they are a 10 in my books.

Photo 7

By the time we got home it was already nine and so a quick and easy dinner was necessary.  Okay, lets be honest, I would have wanted chicken nuggets and a baked potato even if I had hours to cook.  You can’t see the sour cream in there but I don’t think I can eat a potato without sour cream ever again.

We celebrated the National Holiday (at least it should be), Oreo’s 100th birthday.  My MIL sent us a care package with everything we could ever want and I am guessing that the oreos will last until Thursday night.

Foods that I hate running out of: bananas, peanut butter, and coffee! ;) And my husband can’t live without his Life cereal!

Reply

Life cereal is so good…thanks for the reminder. I always run out of bananas too and it drives me nuts!

Reply

When I run out of oatmeal, I get really angry. Just like your snacks, I don’t like settling for my second favorite breakfast :)
I use the elliptical maybe twice a week. I used to use the elliptical as my main form of cardio (almost every day), so I’ve learned to really push myself on it by putting the resistance and incline up super duper high. When I do that and go as fast as I can, I think I get a pretty good workout out of it. It’s a good alternative if I need a day off from running or spinning.

Reply

HA….seriously, I hate settling:) I used to only use the elliptical too!

Reply

Lately I’ve been big on EGGS. Like, just can’t get enough of them.

Reply

Do you eat them by themselves or on sandwiches and things?

Reply

I think I owe you an apology. You have been posting all this cottage cheese and it has been kinda grossing me out. I ended up buying some and then mixing it with almond butter, and vanilla protein powder and it has been an amazing protein-packed snack. Honestly, it still grosses me out, but I like the taste. Very weird emotions about it.

I hate running out of almond milk, coffee creamer, and lettuce.

The elliptical requires me to focus on giving effort. Running just happens and the intensity is there. That’s my two cents

Reply

BAHAHAHHA Apology totally accepted:) I hope you get over the texture part of it soon! Okay, you explained the elliptical thing perfectly, I could not agree more…I really have to pay attention when I am on that thing to get a good workout!

Reply

I’m not apologizing. Cottage Cheese is yucky. It’s all texture. You can have my share.

Reply

I am taking you up on that offer that I can have yours ha:)

Reply

Care packages are the best!!!!!!!!! I hate running out of peanut butter and tend to keep at least two jars on back up at all times!

Reply

Good idea Jamie, running out of pb is just not okay! Favorite brand?

Reply

I heard that it was Oreo’s birthday but I didn’t celebrate – just had some plain ol’ sugar cookies :)

I think you have to try/concentrate harder to get a good workout on the eliptical. You are moving the whole time and you may think that is enough, but if you aren’t moving fast enough and paying attention to your times, you may be working a lot less than you think. Running is easier – you set the speed on the treadmill and if you go slower, you notice, because you fall off haha.

Reply

I totally agree with you about the elliptical vs. treadmill. Yesterday I just kind of was on it and never even thought to push myself. With running you have to no matter what ha! I am glad you celebrated with cookies:) Have a great day Tiffany!

Reply

I didn’t celebrate Oreo’s birthday yesterday, but when I went to Walmart they actually had a cake out to celebrate!

Mike and I love King of Queens! We typically watch it during dinner :) We have a ton of other shows we love to watch too.

I am one of the odd people who loves the elliptical. I usually use it 2-3 times a week. Sometimes I use it for a warm-up, but when I use it as a workout, I feel like it’s probably a 7. I try to go backward on it too so I work different muscles.

Reply

Seriously….that is awesome they had a cake out! I need to try going backwards on it too, I have never tried that!

Reply

LOVE King of Queens!!!

BIRTHDAY OREOS. did you try them!??! They are DELISH.
Dangerous. def way too good!

I’ve never run out of my beloved coffee…
5 cups usually by 8am.
I literally tried to marry my Keurig <3

(hate that dang elliptical)

Reply

Okay, those things make me want to eat the whole package, how do they make it so delicious? I just want to buy a jar of the frosting!

Reply

King of Queens is hilarious, I used to watch it a lot though I don’t have a lot of time for it now. Right now I’ve rediscovered Scrubs (I can NEVER get sick of it, it seriously gets funnier each time I watch it! The Janitor and the Todd are the BEST!) and I’m also pretty addicted to Lost.. I know I’m about 5 years late on that one, but better late than never! I’m also dying for the Biggest Loser to start!!

Grocery list: yogurt (obsessed with yogurt and gronola right now!), Almond milk (I can go through a carton in less than a day) and button mushrooms – my addiction to those is getting out of control!

I hope you’re having a wonderful day!! Have you had any weird cravings yet?? Haha or will you not even notice if you do – I’ve been reading the blog long enough to know that you have even odder food cravings than I do :-P

Reply

PS your new shoes are adorable!! Is it weird that I get more excited now about a colourful pair of running sneakers than a hot pair of heels?? I think that’s a runners thing!

Reply

That is not weird at all…I am the same way, running shoes are way cuter. Yogurt and granola belong together!! I am craving donuts like no other lately, I must get one today ha! Yep, you are right…my cravings have been out of control and they are only going to get worse!

Reply

I love king of queens! Mostly because their relationship really reminds me of Mike and mine.

Ever since you’ve been on your potato kick, I’ve started making them as my “easy dinner” covered in sour cream and salsa. I’m definitely having one tonight after this post.

I hate the elliptical, even if I’m dying and sweating like crazy, I never feel like I did anything afterwards.

Reply

HAHAHA I love getting to know you more and hearing that about your relationship made my day! I am so glad you are loving the potato for dinner, it is so easy and delicious and warm! Girl, you put in so many running miles I don’t know how you would have time to get any other type of workout in!

Reply

Love your new shoes!
My dad and stepmoms birthdays we last week, and we bought them both a package of birthday Oreos – they tasted like cotton candy!
I use the elliptical once or twice a week – i like it.
I took my first 20 min. spin class last night and it was hard! My calves are screaming, but it was a great workout!

Reply

Thanks Heather! The Birthday Oreos are the best things in the world, best present ever! AHHH I want to know more about your spin class, I wish we could go together!

Reply

I loved King of Queens! Still do! Haha :)

Reply

I really think it is one of the best tv shows ever made!

Reply

I’m seriously in love with The Voice. It just makes me happy :)

Not a fan of the elliptical! I get that it’s good cross training and good for the knees and all, but every time I’m on it, I always find myself thinking I should just run instead. Usually I go do the stair master instead since it’s like death in a machine. I have issues.

Reply

I have been wanting to watch that show so bad and so now I better watch it since you like it! Oh you are so right about the stair master, that thing KILLS ME!

Reply

This is funny. So yesterday, I’m looking on your blog for the pregnancy tab, I didn’t see it, but I saw PR’s tab–I thought–oh thats it– her pregnancy posts–not quite! ha ha ha–

Reply

HAHAHA not quite. I am having Billy put it up right now and I will be posting later today! Have a great day!

Reply

My new favorite show is Two Broke Girls, don’t know why or how I stumbled on it, but it’s pretty funny! Used to love King Of Queens. I would LOVE to know how you like those shoes….I am going back and forth between some sort of racing flat and an every day trainer, more substantial than kinvara’s, and need to decide which ones to get! I want one of each, of course – a flat and a trainer:-)
I would say a 7 for the elliptical – haven’t used it in a long time!
I hate running out of apples, and almond milk. There’s always a lot on my grocery list!;)
Have a great day!!!

Reply

King of Queens is by far my favorite show out there…..I have a few of the seasons and may or may not watch them every night before falling asleep.

It’s not necessarily favorite foods I like to have in the house…..but my pet peeve is when I am craving something all day at work and get home to find someone already ate it. Que big girl status.

my mom got 3 packages of oreo’s and we had them along with our dinner last night! the birthday ones have a cake batter taste to them. yummy!

i have never seen kings or queens but am loving prison break on netflix. it is so good and there are 80 episodes to watch:)

going to head to the store after work to pick up greek yogurt, kashi cereal and blueberries which are always on my list.

never tried the elliptical but am working out on the treadmill today! how do you keep your ipad steady when running? mine always moves around and i spend half the time trying to keep it still.

Reply

I didn’t know it was Oreo’s bday and I was even thisclose to picking up a package of the “birthday cake” flavor at the market yesterday…looks like I’ll be celebrating the birthweek, thanks for the heads up girl! :)

Reply

I had a golden oreo to celebrate the holiday and it was glorious. Golden oreos are THE way to go. I was regular oreo obsessed until I tried those golden babies, and oh my, they are fantastic! Congrats on the pregnancy! The picture you put up was absolutely adorable!

Reply

The golden ones are INCREDIBLE, I forget about them though! THanks you so much Chelsea!

Reply

I don’t like real oreos, but I do like the Newman’s Own mint oreos. I don’t get that great of a workout on the elipticle, but it is good for active recovery. It is easy for me to be lazy on it.

Reply

YUM…those mint ones sound so great! It really is so easy to be lazy and zone out on the elliptical but some days that is exactly what we need!

Reply

Did you try the special anniversary Oreos? They look deadly (aka delicious).

Reply

They are to die for! I need to go stock up on more! Hope you have a great day gorgeous girl!

Reply

I LOVE the Elliptical. :) Yesterday I did it for 90 minutes, with a 30 second sprint and then a 1 minute regular pace after warming up [oh and I definitely took a few breaks from the sprints near the ends!]

Didn’t know it was Oreo’s Birthday! I love double stuffed! :D

Reply

90 MINUTES….wahooooo dang woman, you are incredible. I think you need to celebrate today with some double stuffed ones!

Reply

I’ve been wanting to get a pair of Altra’s for awhile now, but there aren’t many retailers out here that carry them and I hate buying footwear over the internet. Since the company is local to you it’s probably a bit easier to find a vendor. Can’t wait to hear your review about them!

Reply

It is super easy to find around here….they are continuing to grow and grow (Runners World and Running Times has featured them and had nothing but good to say about them!). Hope you are having a great day and I seriously can’t thank you enough for the amazing package you sent me!

Reply

Im not a big oreo fan, crazy i know!
I love king of queens! And my fav show right now is Big Bang Theory!
I haaate running out of eggs. because it seems like i crave them when im low or out! dangit!

Reply

I can’t run out of milk. I don’t drink it, but it goes in my coffee, and I panic when it gets to the 1″ line in the carton!

Reply

i have a bag of mini oreos in my pantry so you know I definitely celebrated!

I do like king of queens but i’ve been totally loving old episodes of two and a half men lately…that show is pretty funny :)

we always have lunch meat, bread, cereal, bananas, sweet potatoes and yogurt on our lists…i really hate running out of bananas. its the most versatile thing to me ever for some reason, lol. kevin is obsessed with string cheese though so we joke that we have our costco membership just to keep up with his string cheese addiction ;)

elliptical is one of those weird machines that you could get a super easy workout or a hard one, depending on how hard you are willing to work. i use it at least once a week and I think I get a good workout. i like putting it on the random program at a high level..I’m pretty sweaty by the time its done!

Reply

Bananas are so easy to grab on the go and eat with almost everything. kevin and I sound a lot alike! You are right about the level ranging on the elliptical and ones workout! I am going to have to watch 2.5 men if you like it, I am sure I will!

Reply

Janae, I cannot wait for your review of the Altra’s Delilahs! I just tried on a pair at my local running store and because I had no idea of the reviews (and no one in the store had many, if any runs on them yet), I didn’t pull the trigger. Can’t wait to read all the deets!

I celebrated Oreo’s 100th year with Cookie Dough Ice Cream with crushed peanut butter patties girl scout cookies and hot fudge. Yum. Just writing that makes me want ice cream in the AM.

Love King of Queens! Love to catch a rerun randomly while at the gym. Speaking of gyms, I’d say the eliptical gives me a “5” workout. Then again, I usually only use it when my legs are dead tired from running so I’m not a real reliable predictor.

Must haves on my grocery list? Cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, black beans, broccoli and peanut butter (though not all together:)).

Reply

Oh good! I can’t wait to review them for you! I have had Altra’s before and loved them and can’t wait to try out their new model! WOW…..I need to come celebrate with you, that sounds delicious! Ha..all of those foods together would be quite scary!

Reply

I have never seen King of Queens, but I have been LOVING dance moms lately– my roommate and I have made a weekly routine of watching it! Except we watch it after it has aired because we are never home (or are asleep) while it is actually airing.

Reply

Oh my goodness, those moms are scary!! I can’t even imagine if my mom acted like that ha!

Reply

I have a really hard time breaking a sweat on the elliptical! I normally do it on recovery/cross training days.

I am loving Mad Men right now! I just started watching it a few months ago and can’t get enough!

I watch King of Queens at the gym a lot too, are we twins?!

Reply

WE ARE TWINS! We love Mad Men too, addicting!

Reply

THANK GOODNESS! what are we wearing tomorrow?!

Reply

I hate it when I run out of grapes. I love snacking on grapes! And cottage cheese!

I’d say my favorite show right now is modern family, or new girl. They are both hilarious! But nothing is better than good ol friends :)

The elliptical definitely requires more effort than running because you have to push yourself and pay attention to get a good workout, instead of just setting your pace. I don’t really love the elliptical but I must do it every once in a while or my legs will hate me.

Reply

Oh girl….we are soul mates. Running out of grapes is the worst! MODERN FAMILY is the funniest show ever! You are so right about the elliptical, I completely agree!

Reply

Love that show! My sister swears that is her marriage and funny thing is her husband actually gets mistaken for Kevin James and even signed an autograph at a bar once.

Where is the giant jug of orange juice?

Reply

HA….I made him go on Saturday to the regular grocery store to get more and we still have some left. I love that you noticed that, made my day!

Reply

Looking forward to your review of the altras. I have been looking at them for awhile. I really don’t need new shoes though! I get cranky when I run out of coffee or PB. I seriously screws up my day. I have never felt like I was able to get a good workout on the elliptical. Maybe I do it wrong?

Reply

The elliptical makes my feet fall asleep. I only use it if I have to.

Reply

I did not celebrate Oreo’s B’day yesterday. I should have bought a bag of those treats for my husband, though. He loves oreos and cake batter…..a combo of those would def win me wife of the year.
I am a huge Modern Family and The Middle Fan. Those are the only sitcoms I really watch. Yay for Wed pm TV!
I would probably die if I ran out of coffee. I have enough flavors/brands to last me until I’m 66, though.
Ughhh….the elliptical DOES NOT give me a work out. Max incline and all just does not compare to the stairmaster, the treadmill’s max incline, or the hills outside the gym doors. I love to climb!!

Reply

We watch King of Queens every night while eating dinner. It is truly my favorite show. Love that you love it as much as I do!

Reply

I love those shoes!

Reply

Haven’t celebrated with the Oreo’s yet. But don’t we have all year?
CARROTS. Can’t run out of carrots. Or half and half for my coffee.
I use the elliptical 1-2 times a week. I can get a good workout out of it, but I don’t always.

Cute shoes ;)
FINALLY just sent you a message- if you get one from a ‘Holly’- that’s me! Forgot to put my blog in the message. Oops!!
I’m loving your meal. Makes me want chicken nuggets for dinner tonight. Might just have to do that!

Reply

I love King of Queens! When I first moved, my roommate and I didn’t have cable for a long time so the one good show we could always count on watchign was King of Queens. Pretty sure I saw every episode that year haha.

I was searching everywhere for the Bday cake oreos and could not find them, I told all of my coworkers and magically received a box on my desk the other morning! They are super addicting.

Reply

AHHH I AM SO HAPPY you got some of the oreos….they are incredible!!!!

Reply

On my phone so too lazy to put in my website. But anyway. Recently I’ve been obsessed with chopped and cupcake wars. Seriously makes me want to learn to do all of that.

Right now my ellipticising is sporadic. But not long ago it was nearly every day. But I don’t feel like I get too great of a workout on it. Like someone else said you really have to concentrate to work hard on it and I am so incredibly good at zoning out and for me it seems really hard to get my legs to work the right way to get above 160 rpm on it because it’s such a different motion. This might, however, be different if I used a regular elliptical and not a precor cross ramp.

Reply

Best shows ever, I miss them!! Are they online anywhere? It really is so easy to zone out on that thing!

Reply

I honestly have no idea. I don’t watch TV online because my internet so slow… I would have assumed it was on netflix. But I also figured House was on netflix and it’s not.

I could always set my computer up in front of the TV and skype you while it’s on so you can watch it ;)

Reply

I feel like that is an incredible idea, let’s do it!

Reply

Sounds like a plan to me!

Reply

LOVING King of Queens right now! I watched the show when it was on, but love the fact that they show old episodes. Doug is hilarious!

Dig the new shoes sister!

Reply

I learned to love the elliptical more after a stress fracture in my heel that required absolutely no pounding for WAY too long!! I was cleared for swimming first which I really like now (and still do 2-3 times a week) and then cleared for elliptical. You wouldn’t believe how many strange looks you get as you struggle into the fitness center on crutches and a boot and people are thinking “What could she possibly be doing here?” and you have to explain that you are there to swim!! I had one lady ask if I had to leave the boot on to swim – can you imagine?? That would be a whole new challenge! Anyway – I think once I was told I could do elliptical, I drove directly to the gym and just elliptacized away!!

Reply

I really started loving swimming during my stress fractures too and you are inspiring e to continue to do it! HAHAHA That would have been impossible to swim with the boot on!

Reply

I’d never heard of Altra’s shoes, they look very cool!

Happy birthday, Oreos! I celebrate Oreos every chance I get. ;)

I actually don’t like the elliptical very much – my feet get numb on it and I feel like the motions are actually too similar to running. When I cross train, I want to mix things up from running as much as possible, so I would prefer yoga or swimming, and biking to a certain extent.

Reply

You got the Intuitions too, right? I have those and love them. Do the Deliliah’s fit the same way? I had to size up in the Intuitions. Do you have a partnership with them to try these babies out? They’re not cheap! (Jealous you have both).

Reply

I like King of Queens but it’s not one of my favorites. Although, I do find her dad hilarious. Right now, I am OBSESSED with Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother! My dream is to find a Marshall Eriksen when I go to law school and we’ll be all dorky and perfect together, lol.

Reply

You know I just heard a podcast where they talked about the proper way to eat an Oreo, I should’ve known it was the 100th anniversary of the Oreo. But I will celebrate it today!
Last week we ran out of grapes and cinnamon raisin bread and I do not know how I survived breakfast each morning.

Reply

Wow…100 years of oreos, that’s pretty darn impressive that they’ve stood the test of time!

And that baked potato looks amazing, you just made me crave potatoes! I may just have to make one tonight. Wish I had one nearly as giant as yours!

Reply

I love King of Queens! We have a few of the seasons on dvd – so funny! I am still in love with Friends and The Big Bang Theory. I love modern family too, but sadly, we no longer get local channels. :( I also like How I Met Your Mother.

My grocery list is always growing, even when we have a fully stocked fridge and pantry. I hate being out of cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, FRUIT, veggies, and almond milk the most. I would say nut butter, but that has never happened since I keep at least ten jars on hand (seriously). :)

Reply

I made a crazy good recipe a few days before Oreos Birthday because I knew I wouldn’t be home to make it on the actual day and shared it on my blog yesterday. I also had some “fake, healthier” Oreos yesterday because I’m on a diet that I can’t eat Oreos on but I was in the spirit! By the way congrats on your pregnancy! I loved the photo you used to announce it!

Reply

I celebrated with 2 double stuffed oreos, thanks to prepared co-workers who brought in oreos!

I get cranky if I don’t have my greek yogurts for snacks. They are the best!

Reply

I love string cheese too! It’s the worst when you think you have more left in the fridge and then…. nope…
Last night I got a little addicted to Big Rich Texas… I watched for waaay too long! It’s so bad which makes it sooo good! haha
I need to basically re-stock everything! My grocery list is super long!

Reply

So glad that there is another adult out there who loves chicken nuggets! My husband always laughs at me and claims they are only for children – now way! I really like the elliptical but since I don’t go to a gym anymore I don’t use it. I think you can definitely get in a tough workout though if you want to.
:)

Reply

I’ve been looking for the anniversary Oreos everywhere around here (Los Angeles) and can’t find them! :(

After posting you a “ohmygoodnessyou’repregnantthisisthebestnewsever” in my most stalkerish manner yesterday, I read your post today and suddenly remembered that my first trimester when I was pregnant with my 11 month year old baby girl consisted of dinners of baked potatoes with shredded chicken, broccoli, sour cream, and cheese. I was waking up with leg cramps in the middle of the night, and I think my craving was my body’s way of telling me I needed more potassium.

Reply

ROBIN!!! That is so good to know that I am not purely crazy for eating so many potatoes…I must need the potassium too! I am going to have to try your combo minus the broccoli! I need to get you some of those oreos, they are amazing. Hope you are having a great day!

Reply

I just got my wisdom teeth out yesterday and I felt SO bad when I had to walk away from the massive display of Oreos that were calling to me in the store. However, we made a deal and decided I would pick them up later on next week. :D

I hate running out of Instant oatmeal and reese’s puffs (when I choose to have this). Right now I would be very upset if I ran out of GoGurt and they way I’ve been going through this box, that may happen soon. Speaking of food, that baked potato looks very appetizing!

Reply

Of course we celebrated the Oreo’s birthday! We celebrated with their new Birthday Cake flavor. Not really a fan.

Must have at all times in my house? Coffee creamer (at least two flavors), almond chocolate milk and almond butter. I always buy more as soon as I open one. Have to have back-ups!

Shows I love? Big Bang Theory for sure! And I really liked the new GCB that started on Sunday. Mean girls all grown up!

Reply

Big Bang Theory is the best show ever. Oh I will take those oreos off of your hands for you:)

Reply

So so glad I can comment again that was totally stressing me out when I couldn’t. Can we get together soon to celebrate!! Pretty, pretty please with sprinkles on top?

Okay first of all I LOVE King of Queens! Laugh my butt off everytime, secondly string cheese and cottage cheese are the two most amazing foods ever invented. And lastly I think the elliptical is 10x harder than running. I seriously sweat like a maniac on that blasted device!

Reply

mmm potatoes & chicky nuggets sound great! It’s almost lunchtime over here so ur making me hungry! :)

I want those Altras…I’ve heard great things about those shoes. I love minimalist shoes esp. Newtons.

I always have to have bananas in the house or I’ll go crazy. Also peanut butter and eggs.

Reply

I HATE running out of eggs, spinach, or almond milk. THOSE are necessities! Costco is the bomb, for that reason. Hah.

Gotta love a good elliptical session with a movie ;)

Reply

I love King of Queens! I watch the reruns almost every night at 6pm if I’m home :)

Reply

Oh wow, check out those Oreos.. yum! I really like your new shoes too.. love the bright laces!
I really dislike the elliptical, my feet always become numb when I go on it for some reason.
If you have time to shoot over to my blog today for some advice, I would SOOOO appreciate it, Janae!!

Reply

I did not celebrate Oreo’s anniversary since I can’t eat them anymore, but I used to LOVE double stuff. I would open them up, eat one chocolate half, eat the center and then eat the other half. Best way.

And I like the elliptical, but I only feel like I’m getting a good workout when I do intervals on it. I also always set it to a hill setting where it goes up and down two hills during the time period and it tells me to switch between going forward and backward. Keeps my brain interested too!

Reply

aww no celebrating oreo’s b-day for me.. they are good, but i am being reaallly healthy so i can look good in my b-day dress in a few weeks! :)

love king of queens! currently i am just addicted to law & order SVU and united states of tara, both on netflix :)

i have to buy bananas like every 3 days! also hate running out of oatmeal, greek yogurt, PB and frozen blueberries.. all my go-to snacks!

i have to push myself soo hard to even break a sweat on the elliptical.. like highest resistance and trying to go fast, but i just hate it!

Reply

My son is a Marine deployed on the USS Makin Island right now and he loves Oreos so much I bought him stock in them for Christmas one year. Every box I send him contains several pkgs. I have to have the Golden Oreos but they are still pretty good. I think the cream is different but I still eat them.

Reply

I love King of Queens. Currently watching Arrested Development on Netflix though. It’s hilarious and I regret not watching it sooner.

Haven’t been on an elliptical in probably 2 years but you can get a good work out if you jack up the resistance and you’re really using your arms to push too (my gym had the kind with the arms) It’s just (obviously) different than running or treadmill. Like running uphill into the wind, without the impact :)

Reply

I love those Quaker Oats chocolate rice cakes. I lather them up with peanut butter for an occasional snack :) When I run out I get kinda crabby.

Reply

oh, how I ADORE king of queens. when I was still teaching myself to enjoy running I’d plan my treadmill runs around KOQ episode reruns.

Reply

Ha! We did both post on the Omm heel drop shoes today didn’t we?!

I don’t use the elliptical often, but when I do, I try to make a game out of it by doing intervals–I get bored really fast on it. But, to watch a show, I think it’s perfect! Your MIL is the sweetest! She has to stoked to be a g-ma!

I know you are likely going to do a post on this, but I’m anxious to know your “cravings” these past 15 weeks!

Reply

Ok best MIL ever! I forgot to celebrate yesterday so I better make up for that! I get anxiety when we run out of eggs, yogurt and berries at home!

Reply

your shopping basket looks just like ours!! milk, lettuce, ground beef, funny!
I want to hear a review on those shoes and did you ever do a review on those ON shoes? ( I think that is what they are called) I checked out their website and they seem really cool, I would love to know what you think about them.

Hate Running out of – Frozen Veggies, Fresh Baby Spinach (I’m Popeye) Chocolate Chips or any ch0colate (I can’t stop eating until I have desert)

“Once upon a time is new favorite show.

As for the elliptical… I don’t know. My arms get sore so I guess that’s good, but I don’t feel like I trust the calorie burn on those. ..

I’m in Michigan & I have a part time job as a race timer. We’re busy most of the year except Dec, Jan, Feb. We only have a few races in Nov & March, but the rest of the year is pretty non-stop craziness. I work basically at least one race every weekend in the other months- all in Michigan too.

My excitement for you and Billy has not decreased since the minute I looked at your announcement picture. I still can’t believe it…it’s just such GREAT news!! I had no idea that it was possible to be so genuinely thrilled for people that I’ve never seen in real/non-computer life!

Worst foods to run out of = yogurt, cottage cheese, cauliflower, hummus, and Trader Joe’s meatless meatballs

Oh my word! HOW did I not know it was Oreo’s 100th Birthday! I guess this just means that I will have to attempt to eat 100 Oreo’s over the course of 2012! ;)

I hate running out of PB and it happens all. the. time.

I love King of Queens! Some other shows that seem to have the same kind of humor that I like are Yes Dear and The Big Bang Theory – so funny!

I was just watching King of Queen’s! My favorite show lately is Big Bang Theory. So funny!

I sadly did not celebrate Oreo’s birthday. It’s been a month or so since I’ve had them. I think that needs to change. :-)

I love King of Queens, totally cracks me up all the time! I love Carrie!

I am a huge fan of the Double Stuff Golden Oreos. I’m afraid if I started to celebrate their birthday I may not be able to stop celebrating. Love those things!

Right now I cannot go without pistachios.

I just ran out of apples, and I HATE that! Kind of addicted to apples…

My elliptical level is like a 2…I just can’t find a good setting on it. Blah

As I’m reading this I’m having a pre dinner snack of birthday cake oreos (they have sprinkles in the filling)! They were on sale and I figured it would make my double ear infection/ strep feel all better!

Omg omg omg omg omg that box of Oreos is AMAZING!!!! I’ve been looking all over for the new Birthday Cake Oreos, have you seen them??

Reply

Yes they are incredible! Our Walmart has them!!! Let me know if u find them. Have a great night!

i LOVE king of queens!! ummm, how awesome is arthur though?? ;)

i’ve been on the elliptical a lot and it’s prolly my first pick of cross-training if i can’t run.

I can’t stand running out of bananas! I don’t do the elliptical too often – only when my legs need a break from running – but I put the resistance and incline way up and usually feel that I’ve gotten a decent workout. It just doesn’t compare to running though.

That’s awesome that she sent you an Oreo care package.

I get really sad when my office runs out of apples.

Elliptical is my #1 cardio machine – I mix up intervals
