After school yesterday I changed into my diaper shorts (I got some sweet biker shorts that have so much padding in them to save me from my bike seat!) and Billy and I set out on a quick bike ride together.

We ended up cutting our ride short and doing 18 miles because Billy decided to get a flat tire.  I know, not very nice of him.  We didn’t have our tire kits with us so I rode home and came back and picked him up.  I mean he did run a 1/2 marathon on Saturday……he probably could have jogged home in biking shoes right;)

Next stop: soccer game viewing.

I am just showing you how awesome her flexibility is because that girl can kick that ball hard!  She also does a handstand every time she scores a goal.

IMG 9207

I have taught her the necessity to refuel within 30 minutes of finishing exercising.

IMG 9215

And I have taught her how to make the cheesiest, happiest face around.  I think I might have some competition!

IMG 9222

After the games we didn’t have time for dinner because we were heading to a friends house for ice cream!

Billy found his new favorite chair and maybe seeing how his friends have a dog will help to convince him to let me get a puppy.  I promise I will be responsible and take such good care of him/her.

IMG 9248

Mint chocolate chip homemade ice cream (you know I went back for more a few hundred times) and cookies!

IMG 9253

Now as I am typing this I am trying to decide what I should have for dinner…

Let’s see how well you know me…….Do you think I had:

A) Frozen M&M’s from my freezer and a glass of milk

B) An egg sandwich

C) Frosted flakes with chocolate milk

D) Peaches and milk

E) All of the above

Dogs are the best when you can use them as an excuse. I always say that my puppy was good today so she needs an ice cream at the store..this usually turns into everyday..but win win situation for both. Or if I grab a cheesestick or peanut butter from the fridge..she gets the same.. You always need a partnerr Billy may get jealous. The best is when you’re feeling no motivation but they are anxious to go for a walk..you have no excuse to sit around.

I traded soccer in for cheerleading and volleyball.

With a glass of milk I like a warmed up cupcake..or a cinnamon bun and even use to love a cup of warmed M&Ms mixed in!

3 Day weekend = 8 mile long run, 4yr old bday party and dinner out with friends (twice).
I did NOT play soccer growing up. Hard to believe, isn’t it. Tennis. I played tennis.
Favorite thing with milk: Hands down, brownies.
And my favorite thing about my dogs is how excited they get for the smallest things. Walks, treats, food, a new toy, anything. And how forgiving they are of their people.

I don’t have a dog yet but we’re looking at getting one…soon! In fact, that could be what we’re doing over our 3 day weekend. Other than that we have no plans.

I played soccer for 2 years when I was young. I wish I would have kept playing because I love soccer, but the coaches didn’t really teach us how to play. I’d rather just play for fun with some friends.

And, I don’t like milk so I try to avoid it as much as possible!

For the 3 day weekend, I get to work on a day I don’t normally work, and I’m on call on another day I don’t normally work. Woohoo. Wouldn’t mind so much if I got to come in on 4 on Sunday (the first day I don’t normally work) but, of course, I have to come in at 1:30.

Best thing with milk, probably cookies or brownies.

I didn’t do very many sports at all growing up =( I did t-ball for a while, and also did gymnastics for a while. Sucked at both.

The best part about having a dog (or a few dogs) is that they’re always excited to see me (even if I’ve just been gone for 5 minutes), I never sleep alone (yes, I sleep with 5 dogs… there’s barely room for me!), I have pretty constant entertainment (my dad’s dog, whom I’m currently taking care of, barks at birds. Won’t bark at strangers, but will bark at birds), and if I’m not feeling well my main man (er, dog…) knows and will stay by my side until I feel better.

The best part of having a dog is that when you are feeling tired, run down, ugly, fat, unloved…or any other negative emotion…they STILL love you unconditionally and think you are the best thing to ever happen.

I actually brought my dog home without telling my boyfriend. :/ He wasn’t happy because he didn’t want a dog, but I just COULDN’T say no to Ryder once I say him…he was a Craigslist puppy and I even got his kennel in the deal (bargain shopping for sure!)

Reply

I’m guessing you had C?

And this weekend as you may know, I’m running MY FIRST HALF MARATHON! Eeeeeeeek!

Oh and I LOVE ooey, gooey, chewy chocolate chip cookies dipped in an ice cold glass of milk :)

Have an AWESOME weekend..and please convince Billy to atleast go to petsmarts puppy adoption day on Saturday’s..you’ll have a puppy in no time!

The best thing about having a dog is…well, there isn’t just one, or two there are 39854048 things that are the best!

Some of my favorites: I act like a child and having a perma playmate around is amazing. Who else would pretend to be a gorilla with you and bounce around excitedly?

Having a running partner that will never say I am going too fast or too slow. Any speed is the best speed and every mile is the best mile ever. Makes you want to go faster and further just to have them turn there head and look up at you with a crazy, stupid, silly, smile with their tongue hanging out of their mouth, face!

Also, I feel really safe with him. I go out early in the mornings and carry mace with me but having a beast dog with me makes me feel extra safe!

The days I don’t feel like doing anything and I know I should I have a wet nose to force me into doing something I know I wont regret (long walk/ run) or if I am feeling lazy I also have a good partner in crime with me to lounge around with!

Having a dog is the best! I was super apprehensive to getting a dog since I have always been a cat person but there really is nothing like having a dog! My husband and I get and do a lot more now that we have a dog because it’s just so much more fun to do anything when we have Sirius with us (sirius is the dog).

Good luck in convincing him!I totally think you guys should get one! I highly recommend reading all of Cesar Milans books prior to getting a dog though! And when you get your puppy read The Art of Raising a Puppy! All amazing helpful books!

Hm, peaches and milk or Frosted Flakes and chocolate milk?

We had to put our dog down earlier this summer and I’ve been pushing to get a new puppy [aka MY puppy]! It’s so nice to come home and have someone waiting there for you with lots of kisses and unconditional love :)

This [4] day weekend [working from home today] is gonna be spent prepping for my first day of [teaching] school, GAH! We’re also planning to go to the farmers market one day this weekend and a few pro games [ 2 baseball, WNBA]- fun!

I played soccer when I was younger but that career was short lived haha :P I don’t think I liked people consistently kicking my shins, thus I played goalie- but IDK why I’d prefer girls kicking balls right at me… Who knows!

Reply

Best part of having a dog is they are always so happy to see you. Especially when you come home, they jump all over you and cuddle and hang out. Ok I am sure Billy does the same thing but it’s cutter when it is a little furball doing it.

Reply

Isn’t it obvious you had E??? It’s what any smart person wuould do!

Reply

I literally cannot get over your photos with those mountains in the background. Utah looks seriously beautiful!

Reply

I’m going to guess E: All of the above. :)

Best part about having a dog (labs specifically) is: they’re great running partners, they keep you company when you’re home alone, they make you laugh all.the.time.
Plans for 3 day weekend: camping with friends!
Soccer? I played when I was in 5th grade. My coach put me at midfield, and I hated it.
Favorite thing to pair with milk: warm chocolate chip cookie right out of the oven. mmmmm!

Hi Janae,

I’m new to your blog and kinda obsessed, due to the fact that not only am I fitness/candy freak like yourself, but I’m also a high school teacher (I teach English). I gotta ask you – how do you find time after school to see family and relax? I’m so jealous! I always manage to fit in a work out after school, but then it’s straight home to mark or plan!

Reply

I would guess E but that requires having milk 3 times…. so I pick d – peaches and milk.

The best part of having a dog is that smiley fuzzy face waiting to greet you as soon as you get home/get up! I have a 100lb 2.5 year old newfoundland/lab mix. He is amazingly awesome… even tho he is scared of everything and everyone – he apparently thinks he’s a mouse or something and not a giant beast. Unfortunately he does NOT like to jog nor walk more than 1 mile. If we are going too far, he will just lay down in the grass and refuse to move until I go back the other way… stubborn puppy :) You def. need a jogging dog.

Weekend plans… 7 mile run tomorrow morning then off to Philly airport to catch a plane to Fairbanks, yay! Hope you do something amazingly fun and exciting! And take pictures – those are the favorite part of my morning when reading your blog :)

Reply

chamois shorts for cycling = amazing. Hoo Ha Ride Glide… look it up. It will be your new best friend (for cycling).

and loll that dog is funny looking in the pic hehe

best part of having a dog is having someone there for you to cuddle :))

andddd im going to guess all of the above!

I won’t lie, having a puppy takes a lot of time and patience. My bf and I got a puppy together (well he surprised me with one) a while ago. Champ used to live with him. Now he’s living in another town for a semester and our puppy is living with me. It’s taken some getting used to, but it’s so worth it!!! The best part is when I come home from a long day and he instantly cheers me up!

I played soccer when I was 6 and I was awful at the competitive thing. I was goalie. Our team would always beat the other team without them scoring a point (our coach was in the olympics and his 2 kids were on the team) so I felt so bad for the other team I would always let them score. We have home movies of me saying “shhh!” and pretending not to notice as they scored!

And the best thing to have with a glass of milk (which for some odd reason I always drink out of a coffee cup) is a cupcake with lots of icing! I like my cupcake to icing ration 1:2 haha.

Reply

This wkd: MSU football game party, paddle-boarding, beach volleyball, and pool BBQ! Can’t wait!

Reply

oh and I think you had E for dinner ;-)

Reply

I’m gonna say you had all of the above. We don’t have a dog but when we move in march, we told the kids they could get a dog. Our weekend started last night, we came down to spend the weekend with Adam’s brother and wife and go to the Baylor vs. TCU football game. I never played soccer but my husband did for a year. I love a tall glass of milk with a brownie or a slice of chocolate cake.

Reply

I’m going /w all of the above…..though if I had to pick 2 MUSTs it would be the peach and the cereal :P maybe you mixed them??? why so much milk?? lol

Reply

PS: I just wrote this post about my dog

http://running-w-spatulas.blogspot.com/2011/09/rex-is-coolest-dog-ive-ever-owned.html

maybe let billy read it :) I just brought Colin to the SPCA to “walk around” and we left /w Rex <3 there ARE ways of getting a dog other then just asking :)

3 day weekend and I have to work on a presentation. Boo! Oh the college life <3 But I plan on just relaxing and maybe doing something fun for myself. Massage or something, perhaps!

I love pairing milk with cookies. Or pouring it on top of cake, letting it sick in the fridge for a little bit and then come back to eat it. Honestly, best thing ever. The frosting stays together almost like fudge and the cake gets mushy/soaks up the milk. Holy yum.

Reply

I’m going to go with E… all of the above lol ;)

The best part about having a dog… he’s there for you when it seems no one else is and is always happy when you come home :)

Reply

haha, oh i’m def gonna say all of the above, its what I would do!!

The best part about having a dog…at least in my experience, is they can always tell when you are sad…so even when you feel alone and really upset…mine will cuddle up towards me with puppy eyes and it always makes me feel better. corny, but true. its such hard work taking care of a dog, but I really believe its one of the more worthwhile experiences in life. You give alot and they give alot back as well.

good question about my weekend as i’ve been racking my brain myself!! i think its gonna include ALOT of BBQs and some running and swimming thrown in there obviously. please cross your fingers that I FINALLY get my power back today…i’m out of clean sports bras, the horror! lol

i didnt play soccer growing up, but my brother did. i used to watch him play all the time. i was more of a little league/softball girl :)

favorite thing with milk?? hands down, cookies. either warm chocolate chip, or OREOS!!

Reply

There are too many “bests” about having a dog to pick! How about the “happy wiggle butt” and that intense “I love you!” stare that I get when I come home from a long day. Everything heinous that may have happened before I come through that door is instantly gone when the 60 pound furry galoot goes into her “Mama’s HOME!!!!” routine.

Love her. <3

Reply

I grew up playing soccer from the time I was 4 until 19. It was my life! I missed it so much once I stopped playing in college.
Dogs are amazing and seriously bring a smile to your face every single time you see them (well, almost every time ;)) but they are a TON of work. It’s not the daily responsibility as much as when you want to go somewhere for more than 8 hrs and can’t leave the dog unattended or going on vacation, etc. It’s like having a kid but with a kid you can bring it with you, a dog, not so much.

Reply

Dogs are the best and here’s why:
1. Their world revolves completely around you
2. They’re always happy to see you
3. The arguments you have are super easy to resolve :-)
4. They’re always up for eating more!
5. They’re love is 100% unconditional
I tell my dog everyday that she’s my soulmate. Get a puppy!!!

Reply

I absolutely loved your list, you made my day!

Reply

You should totally get a dog! They are the best things ever. The best thing about having Bungee is that you can literally never feel sad when she’s around because she’s so awesome and happy :).

Reply

Puppies are so wonderful to have! We have 3!! I hope y’all get one!!!

Reply

The best thing about having a dog is all the love that the little furry faces give you! For example i’m working from home right now and she’s curled up right at my hip sleeping. She’s just the best little companion!

Reply

Is that a girl scout cookie!? How do you still have those around this time of year!?

I think you had all of the above:)

Reply

NO…they are the Keebler brand but they taste pretty similar and they are amazing…I want to give you some:)

Reply

Your nieces are such gorgeous girls! I told Tripp two days ago that I am ready for a puppy and I will be a big girl and take care of it and everything…and he promptly laughed and said no…I was pretty hurt, not going to lie…

I would choose C & D for you, because frosted flakes in choc milk would be heavenly and peaches are just the best!

Reply

Ive always loved snuggle time with my dog! I now have a whole new appreciation for her though, my husband has been deployed for the last 5 months and I found out we were expecting the week after he left. She has gotten me through so much! There is nothing better than having her beyond excited to see me esther I’ve been gone 3 hours or when she forgets I’m in the shower and acts like I’ve been gone a million years when I get out!

Reply

WOW!! Heather thank you for sharing that with me. I am so happy that you have had your dog to get you through these tough times! You are amazing and I am praying that everything works out.

Reply

Having a dog is so awesome! You have a built in friend that will always be up for a walk, playing in the park or just cuddling on the living room floor. Plus if you drop stuff on the floor you also have a vacuum cleaner!! :)

Reply

And by stuff I mean food…probably don’t want the pooch eating your iPod or something lol

Reply

The best part of having a dog is seeing how happy they are to see you everytime you walk through your front door!

Tonight we are having the in-law’s over for supper and tomorrow I have a awesome date planned for me and the hubby. Sunday/Monday we have no plans which is peeeerfect.

I played soccer for 10 years but kept hurting my knees so I had to quit. Damn injuries.

I don’t pair milk with much… but I love it with cookies!

Reply

I begged my husband for YEARS to get a dog. Finally when I was turning 30 I told him I want a puppy for my birthday and I won’t accept any other gift, and I was serious. If he had gotten me anything else besides a puppy I probably would have stopped talking to him for months. Anyway, he’s so in love with our dog now it’s kind of insane.
I’d say the best part of owning a dog is that she makes us laugh every day, and she’s nice to cuddle with. I also feel safer in the house when she’s here, because she barks everytime she hears a strange noise.

Reply

I LOVE THAT STORY!!! I am so so happy that he loves the dog now too!

Reply

I’m guessing all of the above – but that would be outrageous, right? ;)
I just keep having babies instead of getting puppies. I like a challenge!

Reply

The best part of having a dog is that no matter how bad your day was, how crabby you are, how tired you are, your dog is ALWAYS happy to see you when you get home. No matter what, you’re greeted with a smile and a wagging tail when you wake up, when you get home, or even when you just walk into the room where they are. They are amazing for attitude adjustments!

Labor Day…I’m throwing a party for my neighbors in my building tomorrow night. I’m making shredded chicken tacos, black beans, and homemade guac, queso, and salsa. Plus cupcakes. Wanna come?!

I didn’t play soccer- I was never good at anything that required hand eye coordination.

I love ice cream with anything- most especially chocolate cake and fruit pies, like apple or peach!!

Reply

Um, I am so so there…..all of my favorite foods. Just in case I can’t make it you should email me a picture of all the party decorations/food!! I LOVE seeing stuff like that! You are so right about dogs!! Have fun.

Reply

I guess E

got a 10 mile race tomorrow other than that not much

I played soccer and am coaching two teams this fall under 6 and under 8 should be interesting

Oreos are my fav paring with milk

Reply

I didn’t play soccer as a kid…but I think kiddo soccer players are the cutest! I don’t know if it’s the oversized jerseys, shin pads or knee socks, but they kind of make me squeal from cuteness overload whenever I see them! Our niece is 2 and already has a little pink soccer ball…I’m bound and determined to get her into soccer so we can ooh and ahh over her cuteness on the field, lol!

Reply

Best part of having a dog, outside of having someone who always wants to play and always happy to see you, is you always have a running buddy that will run at your exact pace and whatever distance you want and will never complain and is just happy to be out there. Honestly, when I run with my dog she reminds me to just enjoy the run, she is so happy to just be out there!

I played soccer in elementary school and junior high then just started again a few years ago. I figure soccer is my speed work.

Milk with chocolate cake is the best (with some ice cream on the side also). Really I just love milk and can pair it with anything.

Reply

There are so many “best” things about having a dog….namely, you never EVER have to come home to an empty house :-). Also, petting a dog for at least ten minutes a day can help reduce blood pressure! (its stress relief!)

Reply

Um of course you should get a dog!! They are the best running/jogging/walking partners ever!! Your neices are seriously the cutest things alive. And I think you had the egg sandwhich for dinner.

Happy Friday friend!!

Reply

Best part of having a dog (I used to back in chicago) – when he snuggled with me when I was sick. He never left my side every time i was sick – so loyal.

3-day weekend: New York staycation! parents are in town. We’re going to the US open on Monday!

I like to pair milk with anything chocolate or milk with pretty much any sweet. Cupcakes, donuts or cookies are my fave with milk.

And I’ll bet you ate all of the above :-)

Reply

I don’t know what I would do without my dog Tally! It is so nice to always have her little wriggling butt greet me when I walk in, and she always lets me lay on her all day when I’m sick. AND she is great for days when I’m feeling wicked lazy cause I have to at least get her out of the house so she doesn’t get all weird. I think I’ll seriously always have a dog :)

I get to go mountain climbing this weekend! We’re headed to Buena Vista on Sunday and climbing Mt. Yale, a 14er, on Monday before heading back. Should be a great time!!

Reply

OK present these dog needing reasons to him:
1) they adorable and hilarious
2) exercise buddy (weeee!)
3) soft and snuggly
4) you will have someone to keep you company and then he can have study time all to himself
5) they are adorable… and hilarious… (this one deserves to be on the list twice)

Reply

I will be making your list into a powerpoint to present to Billy. Thanks GORGEOUS GIRL!! I owe you:)

Reply

OK just make sure to include pictures for the full effect ;)

Reply

This is how my brother and I conviced our dad to get us our first (and second) dog when we were younger: by making powerpoint presentations. It’s 100% effective! :) And definitely don’t forget the pictures!!!

Reply

Sadly, I’ve never had a dog and my experiences with them are limited to being chased down by them whilst running… Not usually fun. So, I’ve got nothing on the dog pleasing front.
Soccer, cheesy/huge smiles, and ice cream-I’m all about those! I played soccer for forever and was convinced I’d be the next Mia Hamm… But at age 14 and still under 5 ft and 90 pounds, I decided to switch my dreams over to running, bc there was less chance of getting hit by girls 5 times as big as me every 3 minutes. :)
Milk and brownies/cookies!!! Mmmm…

Reply

Dogs are the BEST! I second everything everyone else said. Especially the part about them always being SO excited to see you. No matter what, every day when I come home from work my dog runs in to greet me. She actually looks a lot like Charlie, the might be siblings!

Reply

Dear Billy, You and Janae would make lovely parents to a furbaby (or 2!). You are active, considerate, loving individuals and a lil dog (or big one) would be a fabulous addition to the family.

I think you 2 need a highly active breed to join you on runs!! So many dogs out there that need a home. Plus, dogs can’t have chocolate, so Janae won’t have to share her M&M’s!! he he!

Reply

Dog owners out there….what is the BEST part about having a dog?
Running partner. meone who is ALWAYS excited about you getting home. Hiking companion. Forces you to get up every morning and go for a run and to take a walk every evening.

What are you doing for your 3 day weekend?
Halibut fishing in Whittier with the kiddos and friends.

Did you play soccer growing up?
Only in 8th grade. All four of our kids play soccer though.

What is your favorite thing in the world to pair a glass of milk with?
Chocolate cake with chocolate icing, but I like to start with an empty glass, put the chocolate cake IN the glass, cover with milk, eat with a spoon.

Reply

That sounds fantastic! I am definitely doing that next time I have chocolate cake!!

Reply

BTW – labradoodles/goldendoodles DON’T SHED so your house won’t be covered in dog hair. This, IMHO, is a huge PLUS.

Reply

haha- I think you had all of that for dinner!! :P
The best thing about having a dog is that they love you no matter what. They know when something is wrong, they’re always so happy to see you; they seem to know when you need lovin when you’re down. Dogs are amazing. I can’t imagine NOT having one! They are a lot of work, but they’re worth it!
I actually have a four day weekend!! woohoo! No classes today :D But I’m doing homework all weekend long and catching up on much needed blogging :)

Have a great day!
GET A DOG BILLY!!!

Reply

First of all, even if you are being facetious, an 18 mile bike ride is not quick or little or anything that connotes the size “small.” It’s a BIG bike ride. That’s probably why you wore the diaper shorts, though, I would assume.

Secondly, I have had many dogs in my day and let me tell you that when you have a puppy you might have to forfeit some of those long bike rides/long runs to make sure the puppy doens’t have an emotional melt down and freak out in your house by chewing up your running shoes or anything else in the house. Puppies are a LOT of work….And some breeds are more neurotic than others.

OMG….YOU NEED A GREYHOUND!!!!! Those dogs LOVE to run! They run and run and run and then they sleep…For a really long time. OMG, OMG, OMG….Tell Billy that you need a Greyhound and tell him WHY and you guys are set! PERFECT dog for you two!

Reply

It’s hard to pick the ONE best thing about having a puppy. I guess I’d have to say it’s how she is always SO excited when I come home everyday. It makes my day to see her furry face. lol.

Reply

Best part of having a dog…the unconditional love. Dogs show you what is important in life; The ones you love, a good nap,a good run, a good snack & cuddling. The littlest things make them happy and content. We can all learn something from dogggies.
My dog is the sweetest thing ever. Everyday he wakes me up with a snorty, smiley face and a wagging tail. He is always happy! He knows if I am sad or hurt. If I cry he immediately comes over to me and licks my tears away. He pretends to listen to me when I talk and snuggles on the floor with me every night.
You should definitely get a puppy!! :)

Reply

okay seriously your nieces may be the cutest things in the world. that curly blonde hair?! come on now. get that child in some commercials ;)

Reply

I’ll go with all of the above!

I want to have a playdate between your neice and my stepson. They would be so cute together, all blond hair and blue eyes!

This weekend I’m doing a long run, followed by lots of fun shopping. Some golfing, and definitely a run to Yogurtland!

Reply

I’m guessing you had either an egg sandwich, or all of the above :)

The best part about having a dog is having a cuddle buddy, and someone that is there when my husband isn’t. He’s only 6 lbs, but he makes me feel safe. The worst part (because you seriously need to know both sides) is arrangements for when you go out of town. Neither of our families live by us, so it’s a HUGE PAIN to find someone to watch the dog. Very annoying.

Reply

diaper shorts seem like the best idea ever!

Reply

WOOHOO! I’m trying to convince my husband to get a dog right now. We already have one, but he’s back in Minnesota with Kevin’s parents. I want my OWN dog. Boyd is totally Kevin’s. And I want a hungry runner dog!!! :) You would love a dog. Think of the cheesy picture opportunities!! :)

Reply

I would have to guess all of the above ;) The best part about having a dog, is the perma smile on their face and how happy they always are to see you!!!

Reply

I think the best thing about my puppy is always having some around. Cooper follows me everywhere, they don’t talk back and are a wonderful excuse to get outside and exercise even when you don’t want to! I played soccer all throughout my elementary and middle school days, I LOVED IT! I just was never really that good to go on a competitive team.
For sure dipping frozen cookies in milk, YUM! They get all cold and soggy.

Reply

im guessin all of the above! :) sounds like a well rounded meal to me.

Reply

Janae!!! Can you pretty pretty please do a bike post!? What kind of bike you ride, good bike gear, tips etc Maybe you did somewhere, but I’m getting into biking and ride a crappy bike – Its too small, and jiggly handlebars.

Reply

Dogs are AWESOME! They are running buddies, snuggle buddies and ice cream eating buddies – need I say more??! I have a 10 yr old Aussie Sheppard mix and a Chocolate lab puppy who practically trademarked the term ‘puppy dog eyes’ – let me know if you want a picture for your power point preso ;-)

22 mile run on tap for tomorrow and then hopefully some sleeping followed by an enormous dinner! Yes to soccer.. from 5th grade all the way through college and even a little after. At some point I decided I was too old and didn’t want to break a hip (probably at 25 – ha!) and transitioned over to ‘just running.’

Btw, this is my first comment and I really like your blog. I have been following for maybe a month or two. I went crazy on subscribing to blogs a couple of months ago, and ultimately realized I was not getting anything done anymore. I unsubscribed to a ton, but yours was a keeper. Good luck with the puppy pleading! Dogs really are great to have around :)

Reply

The best thing about having a dog is how excited they are to see you when you get home! and… cuddling them and how cute they are :)
The worst thing is when/if they get sick with diarrhea!!! or throwing up! yikes! Even the best potty trained dog can get sick aka can’t control these things.

and my favorite thing to drink milk with is everything.

Reply

My dog is the best running buddy ever!! She LOVES to run, especially on trails. I stop to walk or run too slow and she looks at me with this pained expression….WHY ARE WE GOING SLOW?!!? She is my motivation and helps me remember that it’s fun…not just exercise/work/stress relief. Of my 3 dogs only 1 can run with me (the other 2 have joint issues). Her name is Ryka (like the running shoes!!) and she is an Australian Cattle Dog and cute as a button!! You should totally get a dog because they make you happy and doesn’t Billy really want that more than anything!? :)

Reply

Best about having a dog?
1. They are always stoked to see you
2. Built in running partner, they never say no and never complain
3. They don’t judge you when you go back for more ice cream

I’m going with D.

The best thing about having a dog is that no matter how crappy your day is or how bad you feel, your dog is ALWAYS happy to see you. They will give you kisses, smiles and will cuddle with you. Plus, when you pet a dog your blood pressure goes down. Seriously.

The best part of having a dog is that they are always excited to see you! No matter what and they love you unconditionally, even after you scold them.

I had a busy weekend so far, power outage, shopping…man it was eventful!
Hope you had a nice weekend so far!
