Blogger’s Date

After I took the world’s fastest shower after our HOT RUNwe went to target.  Do not be alarmed, I am not sick in the below picture, I just have yet to put on my 12 layers of make-up.

We got an AWESOME basket for my MIL’s bike so that she can bike to TJ’s and back to get groceries……seriously, the cutest little thing you have ever seen.

Photo 2

It just so happened that target is in the same shopping center as the cupcake shop from last nightand once again they offered us free samples….I went for vanilla with vanilla frosting, billy had chocolate carmel macadamia nut and my MIL got chocolate/pb.

IMG 6886

And what to you know…..TJ’S again:)  When I get hooked onto something, I go over and over and over again.  My MIL said we could each choose one thing.  That never works and I ended up choosing 6 things.  Good thing she loves me.  We got humus (garlic and tomato basil) powerberrries, cantaloupe, lemonade and bleu cheese.

IMG 6888

Then it was time to meet up with some S. Cali bloggers!! The cutest PAM arranged a Yogurtland trip with Sarah (I think she should be called skinnyMUSCULARrunner) and Monica (should be known as runRIPPEDeat’s1/8thTheSizeOfMyFro-YoRepeat).  And yes, they are just as funny and awesomesauce in real life as they are on their blog.   Pam’s cutest kids came with us too!

IMG 6890

Of course I went with my famous combo of every topping that they offer and if I was by myself I probably would have gone back for another one, I mean I did run 8 miles today=as much sugar and junk food that I want.

IMG 6891

We sat outside and talked forever.  Nothing better than people that never get sick of talking about running, blogging and food.

What do you use hummus for….I NEED IDEAS!!!!

-I put some on my wrap today and it was heavenly but that is all I can think of.  I am new to this whole ‘eating food that doesn’t fit into a teacher’s salary budget’ thing,

Do you have a target close by?!?!  Do you end up spending way too much money there like me?  What do you buy there?

-Food, workout clothes, jewelry and make-up but I could buy pretty much everything they have and love it!!!

Have you ever met any bloggers!?!?!

I use hummus for veggie dip. Also put a bit on my salads.

Reply

hello! i love your blog. i love your positive spirit and energy. i happened upon it searching for inspiring running blogs, but more than anything, i think you are funny and full of life. a good way to be. anywho – I am a running fiend and love me some hummus. try a big bowl of it w/ sliced apples. sounds weird, but it’s oh so good. also try it as a base for grilled chicken and peppers instead of say rice. mmmmm….

Reply

AHHH HI KAREN!!! You absolutely MADE MY DAY!!! Apple slices and hummus sounds AMAZING!!! I can’t wait to try the grilled chicken and peppers too! YAY for new blogger/running friends!

Reply

I went for a humid smoggy (atlanta) 6 mile run this am, then went to the pool for a mile swim, then ate 2 apples and a pasta bowl full of TJ’s mediterranean smooth and creamy hummus (my current fave along w/ the edamame hummus) made me wonder if you had tried it yet :-)

Reply

I dip ever raw veggie I can think of on hummus and sometimes use it in lieu of salad dressing. Charlotte is full of bloggers so it’s hard to not run into them. I love it!

Reply

I think the real question is: “What DON’T I use hummus for!??!” I use it for everything.

You look gorgeous in that Cali sun!

Reply

You are SO NICE!!! I really think that hummus may be the base of your food guide pyramid! LOVE YOU!

I discovered 5-minute naan from (never home)maker. Here is the link: http://www.neverhomemaker.com/2010/11/curried-chickpea-mash-and-5-minute-naan.html

It is so simple and quick! Plus, I experiment with adding spices, such as dill and garlic. The only difference is I used 1/2 cup of water and sometimes that’s even too much! But it depends on the flour you use. I think regular flour, which works just fine, needs less water than bread flour.

I dip this naan in TONS of hummus, which is my all-time favorite food. Oh, and salsa is wonderful when mixed with hummus, using tortilla chips to pick it all up!

Reply

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE RECIPE!! That looks absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to try the salsa mixture!

Reply

It’s a great recipe. It’s a staple at my house now. You might want to double the batch, though. I go through a whole one in one sitting, but I’m a carb fiend!
I usually put the hummus and salsa side-by-side on a plate and mix it in as I eat. Yum!

Reply

I love meeting other bloggers! Its like people who just “get” you right from the minute you sit down. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun!!

Reply

YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!! I love it…you can talk for hours!!! When do I get to meet you!?!?

That looks like the best blogger meet up ever!! Now that you are in Socal come to LA and eat yogurtland with the hungry dancer!! HAHA

Reply

That would be so so much fun!! I need to make Billy drive me there….pretty sure I would get SO lost!

Reply

We love hummus!! I use it for everything! Spread on sandwiches, with pasta, in tuna and egg sandwiches, on crackers, and my current favorite in salads instead of salad dressing!… the list is endless! Enjoy :)

I love cupcakes and free cupcakes are even better!

We don’t have Target in Canada but I spend enough money there when we are in the States! I also have a sweet deal with my in laws that I buy stuff online from Target and then bring it back here after winter (Arizona snow birds).

I have never met a blogger but would love too!

Reply

Come hang out with ME!!! OOOH tuna and egg sandwiches with hummus…you are absolutely brilliant!

Reply

I mostly eat hummus on sandwiches/wraps too.

Butttt alsoooo …
– as a dip for chips, pita bread, carrots, crackers, etc etc.
– with grilled meat (especially lamb and beef) and STEAAAAAK
– on FRIES or wedges (preferably with ketchup and cheese… hummus, ketchup and cheese are best friends, believe it or not. it’s almost like some kind of weird poutine!).
– on nachos!
– last time i made macaroni and cheese (the proper baked kind), i mixed hummus in with the white sauce/cheese mixture. it was GREAT!

Reply

MAC AND CHEESE!!! Girl, come cook for me, that sounds AMAZING and fries with hummus….um WOW!!

Reply

Woman, say the word and you can come stay with me. I think it’s about time you came on an adventure to the Southern Hemisphere ;) I’ll cook you all my most ridiculous culinary masterpieces!

Reply

use hummus for EVERYTHING!! Its a staple in my fridge- dn’t know what I would do without it!! carrots, celery, crackers, pita, cucumber, sandwiches…some people put it on salads.. never really tried it!
You all look gorgeous!!

Reply

I had hummus for dinner tonight! (with some carrots, cheese, and avocados…it’s too hot to cook!) But if you have a food processor, it is super easy to make and much cheaper!

Reply

I buy everything at Target! I can’t go in there- it’s dangerous. Hummus and cut-up veggies= awesomesauce. I also like it on turkey sandwiches instead of using some other condiment!

Reply

Hummus is my all-time favorite salad dressing! Tossing is required.

Believe me – it just works!

Reply

this makes me so happy. such genuine and beautiful people!
Please hug Sarah for me!

Reply

Yum, hummus! I like TJ’s white bean hummus too. Besides having it on a pita or wrap, I dip veggies in it. Also a substitute for toothpaste (haha…from You Don’t Mess with the Zohan) But seriously. The veggies are strictly tools for putting the hummus in my mouth. Much like celery for peanut butter.

Target can be trouble! Clothes. Workout clothes. Cheap belts, sunglasses, bags, sandals. Various things in the snack department (i.e. trail mixes or drinks) that are not at other stores.

No blogger meet ups yet.

Reply

hummus and veggies…hummus on sandwiches…hummus with a spoon…. the possibilities are endless!
so jealous of your blogger meet up!!

Reply

Oh my GOD I am so jealous that you had a blogger/runner/fitness date!!! That is heavenly!!! I love hummus with veggies, but I feel like that’s obvious. It’s also amazing with your favourite cracker or garlic-baked pita bread! An easy and amazing recipe: Take a pita and open it all the way so it has no fold-over (it looks like you have 2 pitas now), bake with EVOO on 350 for 5-8 minutes with rosemary, pepper, and sea salt. You’ll end up with pita crisps perfect for your hummus!
Canada is FINALLY getting a Target in 2012!!!! It was the best news of the year :)
p.s. you are GORGE without makeup!

Reply

hummus is SO good with carrots, celery, and pita bread (especially warm pita). :)

Reply

Hummus: Makes a good base for a veggie sandwich, or as a condiment on other types of sandwiches. Also, buy some pita chips and use it as dip. Yummy.

Blogger photo…….runners, foodies, and beautiful……love it.

Reply

Target is bad news! I buy everything there. I work there, but I think my whole paycheck goes back to them! :(

Reply

Where in Cali are you guys? The shopping center looks just like the one near my mom’s house in Folsom. But then again all of them look alike in Cali!

Reply

I use hummus for dip with carrots and pita chips. My favorite is the roasted red pepper. YUM!!! :)

I’m super jealous of your bloggie meetup. Sounds like lots of fun!

Reply

That looks like the best blogger meetup EVER I’m so jealous! :)

Also, I LOVE that tomato-basil hummus though I think my fave is TJ’s eggplant hummus if you ever want to try yet another variety ;) I LOVE TJs…

I’m super jealous of your meetup! I want to meet you guys!!

We’ve been doing a couple meetups here, but sadly, i already know (and weirdly, work with) almost all of the bloggers I know of in the CT area)

Reply

When I lived in CA I LOVED shopping at Target! I haven’t met any bloggers yet, but I’m supposed to meet Monica while we’re visiting my family in So Cal. I totally wish I could’ve joined that awesome blogger conversation!

Reply

I literally use hummus for everything…dipping the following: veggies, pretzels, chicken fingers, fries. I put it on my grilled chicken, subs & wraps. Literally…EVERYTHING. You can’t go wrong, I promise!

Reply

I love me some hummus! I am a vegan, and I like to spread it on two slices of toast and then pile on the veggies and make a sandwich! YUM! Also, I sometimes put a dollop on top of salads. Another favorite, is mixing it in a bowl with this recipe: http://mollyberrieshodgepodge.wordpress.com/2010/12/28/veggie-couscous/

Reply

I can’t get out of Target without spending $50-$100. I could truly live there. And hummus is one of my favorite foods. I like it on a wrap, like you said, with whole wheat ritz crackers, or veggies, and basically anywhere that I would normally use mayo or mustard.

Reply

Love target and I always spend $100+ on stuff I dont need! I would dieeeeeeeee to meet you and SR in real life!!!!!!! *Sigh*

Reply

You know..drug dealers employ a “free sample” strategy. They give it to you for free until you are hooked….just saying. (0;

PS- What not to put hummus on would be a better question. Dip your roasted brocolli in it. Mix it with salsa, put it on you salad, eat it with a spoon, mix it with your spaghetti sauce on pasta, it is perfect with tabbouleh….I can go on. You probably can’t go wrong so long as you don’t use your hummus spoon in the ice cream (Unless you clean it).

Reply

target is worse than fro yo for my wallet! I go in for one thing can come out with wayyy more than I had planned. They have great stuff! I love the bike basket! Soo cute.

Reply

I just started blogging and can’t wait to meet all of you :-) I’m hoping to make it to the Urban Blogger Summit!!

AHHH THAT WOULD BE SO FUN TO MEET YOU!!! I hope you come so so bad!

Reply

I love hummus, I eat it by itself, with pita bread, in a wrap, you name it I put hummus on it! Yum!
I love love love Target, I always spend way too much money in there! Targets are everywhere in the South…so I’m alway near one.
I have never met any of my runner blogger friends, but I hope to one day!
Have fun in Cali!

Reply

I met the almost runner and redonkulous runner in Nashville when I ran the Country Music Marathon. Of course we got fro-yo. It was so fun! :)

I spend way too much at Target. Eat hummus with carrot sticks.

I’m sorry…did you say you ran 8 miles today?! Holy cow girl, when did you get back into it?! So happy for you!

Reply

Hummus makes good salad dressing. It makes a salad all creamy and delicious.

I recently found out there is a Target near me IN NYC! Can you believe that? I live on the Upper East Side and apparently there is one like 20 blocks away from me. I am so scared to go because I live in NYC and cannot afford to live here anyway. Target might put me over the edge hehe.

I am going to Healthy Living Summit in August! I’m so excited but so nervous too!!

Reply

I have not met any bloggers yet, but I look forward to the day that I do! I have heard of using hummus as a pasta sauce, I haven’t tried it yet but I plan to!

Reply

I try to stay away from Target… ALWAYS spend too much money there!

I’m loving the blogger meet-up. I was at Disneyland last week, so poop that your meet-up happened this week. Darn! You girls are at the top of my list to meet.

Ahhhhh, looks like SR is tall like you, Janae. Those long legs you both have… no wonder you’re so fast!

Reply

hurrah for free cupcake samples! those things are flipping so cute!

wow, so i’m reading all about this meet-up and you guys owned the yougurtland! super fun and u guys all look so beautiful. i don’t think u’ll ever be able to leave cali and the land of endless free cupcake samples and a TJ’s right around the corner. ;)

Reply

I love hummus too much. I had to learn how to make it so I could stop spending all my money on those tubs of delicious. I use it for a veggie dipper. That’s the best way. Roasted garlic + cucumber = heaven. Also on crackers, chips, pita chips, etc. I have tried stirring it into salads. Not my fav, but some enjoy it. Try it out!

Next time you have a blogger meet up, put me on speaker phone and I’ll tell you about how the cool kids sit outside of a Starbucks with now electricity. Yeah. I did that today.

Reply

ahhhhhhhh! so jealous of your blogger meet-up and your awesome fun adventures in Cali!!!

Reply

sounds like a fun blogger meetup!

i love hummus. seriously, its good with anything :)

Reply

My SIL is Angie from the Bitchy Runners but that’s it.

I dip carrots and other veggies in hummus for a snack. Also, TJ’s sells frozen falafel. Ok, so… get a pita, cut in half to make the pocket, smear hummus all ove the inside, add some lettuce/tomato/onion (I hate onions), then the warmed up falafel balls (2 or 3 of them). Then top it off with some yogurt sauce. Plain yogurt, cucumber, a little vinegar, a little cumin and then blend it all up and drizzle it on your falafel sandwich.

It’s delicious and very filling. And it doesn’t take as long to make as it takes to type it out and read it.

Reply

first of all…that top left cupcake loots amazing.

secondly–i LOVE hummus, I mix it with salsa sometimes and that great. use it with pita chips….dip your veggies in it….the posibilities are endless

thirdly–tagret i my (wallet’s) death trap. I love way too many thing there…I go like every day, it’s kind of ridiculous…you should download the app shopkick…you get points (for going in target) and with enough points you get gift cards !!! its amazing…and addicting

Reply

OMG – we love the TJ’s Jalapeno and Cilantro Hummus. It rocks. We mostly dip carrots and celery in it and eat it as a healthy snacky snack. LOVE Trader Joes.

Reply

I was so disappointed when I got the tomato basil hummus :[ But i hope you love it. I like to use hummus for potato salad sometimes. Im not a huge mayo fan so it makes a really delicious replacement. Next time you should get the eggplant one. Its my fav tj hummus.

Reply

ahhhh…..so jealous you’ve been able to meet bloggers already….please say i’m next! and yes, i know where the city is where you’re at. :) It’s a tad far from where I am, but my parents live in OC so I can MAKE IT WORK!!!

Reply

I use hummus in salads, and as a dip for any produce I can get my hands on… And, I make pita bread a LOT that works magically.

I’m IRL friends with Becka @ 50halfmarathonsin50states, and have met Ronda @ LittleFruitFry, Lesley @ RacingItOff, and Sara @ OUaL. I would love to meet up with you while you’re in town!!

Reply

I sadly have not met any bloggers:( YET.

luckily for me and my appetite TJ’s has a bigger tub of hummus in regular, white bean or basil flavor and I dip carrots or flaxseed chips (both from TJ’s!) in it and I am addicted! I looooove hummus. I eat one of those big tubs (it is like 3 times as big as the one you got today) per week, just by myself. I have a problem, I know!

Reply

Dipping roasted broccoli in hummus is pretty amazing :)

Reply

I eat a ton of hummus, and it’s actually super easy to make yourself (and way cheaper than buying in the store). I don’t really follow a recipe, but the basic version goes something like this….Just throw all these ingredients in a food processor:
1 can garbanzos, drained (reserve some of the liquid, and then add it in later to get the consistency you like)
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp water
1 Tbsp cumin
1 clove garlic

That’s it! You can modify it however you want with things like sun dried tomatoes, peppers, olives (okay maybe not those!)

Reply

You need to but the frozen mango chunks at Trader’s. Let them thaw while you eat dinner, and eat them for dessert!

Also the dried soft & juicy mango is seriously the best thing at Trader’s. Do it!

Reply

Those mini cupcakes are so cute!
I use hummus on everything, and I make it myself at home using either chickpeas (of course) or butter beans actually work quite well as well. I have taken to making a massive lot of hummus and having it with roasted pumpkin, sweet potato, steamed broccoli and green beans as a sort of mezze plate dinner. Along with a couple of sundried tomato mini muffins its a nice light supper. Otherwise slather it on rice cakes or when you get home eat it right out of the container! Yummy!

Reply

I use hummus ALL the time! I use it as a spread on sandwiches instead, I dip baby carrots in it, I eat pita chips in it, and I use it with lots of pan seared veggies. LOVE!!! The powerberries are AMAZING!!!!!

Reply

That is so cool that you all met up!! I read every single one of your blogs! that’s hilarious

Reply

I’ve met Monica before, she’s super great! This was at the 2010 Healthy Living Summit. I was running late to the cocktail party, and ran into her and some other ladies in the elevator on my way to the venue. We all shared a cab!
Girl, put hummus on anything. My favorite way to eat it is smeared on tortillas, topped with veggies / olives and then toasted in a toaster oven. It makes a great pizza topping, too!

Reply

Trader Joe’s Mediterranean hummus is SO GOOD! I use it in place of mayo in almost all of my recipes. It also goes good with just about any type of edible dipping device you can think of.
I really wish I could go to a blogger meetup (especially since I’m so new to the blogging world) but I don’t know of any Arizona bloggers. That and I’m out of the country for the rest of the year.
Guess I’ll just have to stick to my non-blogger friends :)

Reply

I’ve only met the sweet Julia, her sister Jenn and you as I was zipping by at the UV half marathon. I would so love to meet up with you girlies at Provo Yougurtland sometime and pick all your runner brains!!

Reply

I love hummus spread on a slice of turkey with a thin strip of peppercorn ranch dressing, and sunflower seeds wrapped in lettuce. So good!!! Also, it’s obviously amazing with pita chips and on sandwiches!

Reply

I use hummus in salads, on sandwiches, and to dip veggies in. Hummus and baby carrots is heavenly!!!

Unfortunately, I’ve never met any bloggers :(

Reply

Mmmmm….howz about a hummus pizza! with hummus instead of the sauce and then olives, onions, peppers, pesto, shrooms etc on the top!

Reply

Looks like a great time was had by all! Your frozen yogurt looks to die for. :)

Reply

We are Pesto crazy over here….I make it all summer and freeze it for the winter!!

Reply

ooh TJ’s hummus is the best!! my favorite is the white bean basil :) i love it on toast, bagels, MIXED INTO SALADS (like a dressing!), as a dip for crackers/pretzels/fruit/veggies… it’s so versatile!

Reply

I love Target….it’s the only place to buy $100 Pantene. I go in for shampoo and seem to come out $100 lighter every time. But it’s just so fun in there.

Reply

Blogger meet ups sound like so much fun!!!!! How about everyone come here in November? There’s a marathon in Recife then!!!!!!

Reply

Don’t think I’m weird but I like hummus on pasta! It’s a nice twist. I also like it with chopped veggies!

Also Target is my obsession. I can’t get out of there without droping 40-50 bucks. It’s a sickness!

Reply

AHHH THAT SOUNDS AMAZING!! MUST TRY HUMMUS ON PASTA!! THANKS GIRL!

Reply

I live a mile away from a basically new (open just over a year) Target…and it is dangerous, especially in the summer when I am not teaching and have more time. I think I have an obsession with grocery stores, and although our Target doesn’t have a full grocery store, it is pretty close. Besides food, I love Target’s shoes, sports bras, and dresses for weddings (always found in the sale section of course because of how much I spend on food).

Reply

hummus with veggies. hummus with crackers. hummus with tortilla chips. hummus mixed in rice w/ black beans (mexican style). the possibilities are endless! :)

Reply

I heart hummus! I eat it on sandwiches, wraps and just plain pita bread. This recipe is SO good, easy and cheap to make. I hope you like it!

I have only met Cleveland bloggers…so far. I am heading to Vegas this year to run the marathon and hope to meet some bloggers there.
I am not a huge fan of ice crem or yogurtland but everytime I see your posts I want some. I am not sure if we even have one here, I better go check that out.
P.S. I saw you on SR’s blog!

Reply

Can you please pick up Yogurtland and move it to wear I am?!?!?!?! That place looks heavenly!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I get excited when people like to talk about running as well! :) Have a wonderful day dearest!

Oh. My. God. I put “wear” instead of “where.” First sign that I need some sleep, perhaps? Yes, I’d say so.

Reply

I can’t believe no one has said hummus and eggs yet! Does it sound disgusting? maybe. Is it actually phenomenal? Indubitably. My friend makes this crazy delicious breakfast sandwich that sounds gross, but believe me, you’ll die and go to heaven. Basically, she toasts an English muffin, scrambles up some eggs (whole or egg whites) with S&P, then in a bowl mashes up some avocado with S&P and chopped up tomato, and finally assembles the sandwich as so: English muffin, baby spinach, hefty amount of hummus, eggs, slice of cheese (I think she uses cheddar, any kind will do), topped with the avocado mash. I think she usually does it open face so that it’s a tower of all those ingredients on each half of the English muffin. Try this, and your life will never be the same.

Reply

HUMMUS AND EGGS….that sounds BRILLIANT!!! I NEED TO TRY THAT, thank you so so much. Avocado mash=you just made me drool. Can I get your autograph for your most amazing recipe ever!

Reply

Yeah girl, and if that recipe is too hardcore, just throw some hummus in your regular veggie omelet and it’ll rock your taste buds. Sabra’s roasted red pepper hummus and Tahini hummus are two delicious flavors that you should keep your eyeballs peeled for.

Reply

I use hummus for dipping vegetables, dipping pita, and a sandwich spread. I’ve heard of hummus as a dressing for salads, too!

Oh my gosh I went in to Target to buy some arch supports and ended up in the swimsuit section for a half hour!!

I’ve never had a Blogger meetup! One day

Reply

I love putting hummus on veggie sandwiches! I’m so jealous yall are in California! I used to live in LA and I miss it and the weather. Have fun!!!

Reply

Awesome that you met up with all of them! It is like the President and Vice President of the blogger world meeting up, haha

I am so jealous of your blogger date. How fun! I am 100% obsessed with target. I could seriously shop there for hours.

You look gorgeous in all of the pictures!

Reply

That’s so fun that you all got together!!
It looks like you are having an awesome time at your in-laws!! I like cutting a pita into pieces and warming it up so it’s soft and then eating it with hummus. sooo good!

Reply

Hummus and carrots….hummus and peppers….hummus and veggies on a sandwich thin, yum! yum! yum!!!! My favorite flavor is roasted red pepper. Target is my downfall. Thank goodness they are remodeling mine right now so I can’t spend a lot of money there. We are getting a super target, so that means fruit, veggies etc…
p.s can you ask yogurtland to bring a franchise to NH, we have nothing like that around here.

Reply

I will call them today and BEG for them to build one in NH:) OH….I NEED RED PEPPER HUMMUS, that sounds amazing!

Reply

I use hummus as a dip, as a sandwich spread, and as a salad topper!

Reply

What do I put hummus on??? What DON’T I put it on?? Get yourself the bag of mixed broccoli, carrots and cauliflower and dip them in the hummus. Or add a layer of hummus to any sandwhich with turkey, any egg combo, etc. For breakfast, I scramble an egg and some whites, wilt some spinach and add a tablespoon of hummus. Yum. Dip pita chips in there! Swipe up some with some green beans! Delish.

Reply

Oh, and it is so so good with Sriacha and veggies.

Reply

I love Target! There’s one so close to our house. I ride my bike so I’m not tempted to buy too much because I can’t carry it all home. :) I went to HLS last summer and met tons of bloggers. I also met Lindsay Cotter through blogging! :)

Reply

I use hummus to mix with tuna fish!

Target is the death of me.. I go in for 3 things I leave with 30.. it doesn’t matter what it is.. I could walk by a cool looking fork and I’d put it in my cart.

I haven’t met any bloggers yet but I am going to Healthy Living Summitt in August so I will there.

Lastly, so true .. “I did run 8 miles today=as much sugar and junk food that I want. “… today is my bday.. I ran 6 miles = as many cupcakes as I want!!

Reply

AHHHH HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! GREAT JOB RUNNING ON YOUR BDAY and there are no such things as calories on bdays!!

Reply

I am a hummus junkie too! I put it on everything, sandwiches, wraps, crackers, steak, tomatoes, you name it. This recipe is the absolute best! It has so much flavor. http://tastykitchen.com/recipes/appetizers-and-snacks/spinach-and-feta-hummus/

Trader Joe’s and Target are two of my favorite shopping places. I can always find unusual yummy’s at TJ’s, and last time I was at Target, I got a comfy running skirt and shirt.

Love your blog, btw! My daughter lived in Provo for several years. She and her husband just moved to SLC last fall. Provo is sooo pretty!

Reply

AHHH THANK YOU SO SO MUCH FOR THE RECIPE…I can’t wait to try it out. That i so cool that your daughter and fam are in UTAH…we should all go for fro-yo when you come to visit!

Reply

Um, I think there needs to be a Trader Joe’s in Utah! I think I need to try powerberries. They sound like they could give you magic powers!

Target is about 4 blocks from my work. It is the devil!! I can’t stay away from their clearance racks. :)

Hummus is so good in a wrap! I usually do a turkey avacado wrap with some hummus. YUM. :)

Reply

While you’re at Trader Joe’s you should also definitely try their non-fat Greek yogurt! It’s amazing and my boyfriend and I literally can’t get enough of it – we buy multiple containers per visit! It’s super high in protein, relatively low in sugar, and quite filling, but light so you can still work out after. Also, since you’re trying out their hummus, you should definitely try their olive one or their eggplant one. So much more flavor than the plain versions!

Reply

I’ve met a few bloggers once. I would love to have blogger meet ups like you do. If your ever in Virginia I could have my first blogger meet up at the froyo place!

Reply

I just discovered hummus this weekend, and so far I’m in love! I’ve only eaten with tortilla chips and then dipped my breakfast toast in it yesterday morning. And on the Target thing, I can’t seem to spend under $40 everytime I go there. No matter what I buy…
